We really had a fantastic time in Sigtuna. Cosy hotel with friendly staff and a fantastic view over the lake. The breakfast was a pleasure and also the evening restaurant is awesome. |Only issue: the third bed in the room (the one supposedly for our child) was quite uncomfortable. We took turns sleeping on it so that at least two persons could get a good night sleep. But we loved the experience so much that, in the end, we didn’t care.

Traditional Swedish ambiance with top-notch service and GREAT food. Chef really knows his stuff, and the rest of the staff were awesome as well. Highly recommended for an authentic get-away in Sigtuna (charming little town, should be pointed out too).

In a beautiful place, kind service, we had a nice two-night stay here! Breakfast was good & the room just perfect! Beautiful little details all around this place, just a lovely environment.

We visited the popular restaurant. The place is scenic, overlooking a small yacht harbour. The service took unnecessary long time, one and half hour waiting time for menu is too much. To find the well hidden toilet is a real quest. The food was good, beautifully presented. In the aftermath of the pandemic the restaurant felt not crowded. The place has character.

Before I say a lot I would like to mention the positives. They followed our request upon booking and when we were there we were allowed to change rooms without problems (but not by the same person who checked us in, maybe the manager). Wifi was functioning very well, so good for work in hotel. Parking outside was free. They also contributed to safety in Covid times by placing a hand sanitiser dispenser on all tables in the breakfast room. The first room we were given was very cold even with the heater fully on and with our outer clothes still on. The room we changed to had a functioning heater and a great view of the lake. The room was very bare and gave a cold feeling due to sparse furniture and with no carpets at all on the floor. We needed slippers here but none was provided. Only a bed and desk were provided. No tea kettle nor coffee/tea, no fridge, which are now quite standard in the hotels we visited lately especially if you pay higher. No coffee either from lobby. Breakfast was cold (with a touch of warmth served personally, to one each , in a muffin cup containing some spoons of scrambled egg and pieces of one bacon strip.) We were one of two guests/parties in the hotel so breakfast seemed safe in the corona times. Had there been two more, the one small buffet table would have been risky. Check-in and check-out were done cold. With two guests they did not even take the time to welcome with a smile or check you out with the normal "hope you had a nice stay". Gave a feeling that they were tired of working for this hotel. We asked for a 30-45 min extra time as it was heavily raining and check out was 11 am . This could not be provided. We thought maybe they only now have 2 rum o kök instead of 32 rum o kök. We did not get much value for the price we paid compared to more than 20 hotels we visited the past 3 months in Sweden.

Nice and clean hotel, large room with cosy bathroom. be sure to ask for a room with a view on the lake. No airco in my room, but it was cool enough. Typical swedish breakfast. Some more warm 'west-european' breakfast options would have been nice, but the breakfast was very tasty.

Great location, it is right in front to the lake and 10 minute walking from the Sigtuna center. The service for the room is good as the cleaness. The atmosfere in the whole structure is very warm and comfortable. The restaurant is excellent, although quite expensive, with very tastefull Swedish dishes and very good service. Unfortunately, the breakfast is poor although the quality of the food is good. One waitress for the whole hotel is too low as level of service and a good level hotel shouldn't allow that the bread and the orange juice would finish at 9.30 with the breakfast room still full of hosts.

We decided to stay here before catching a plane from Arlanda, and what a good choice it was. The hotel is in a beautiful old house with spacious rooms, comfortable beds and a lovely veranda to enjoy the setting sun over the lake. the breakfast was also amazing, and all for such a reasonable price.
