Top late-night supper spots in Singapore - SilverKris

"Widely regarded by some as the city's best bak kut teh, the signature pork-rib soup arrives with generous, tender ribs, salted vegetables and steamed peanuts; it is traditionally eaten with steamed white rice drizzled in dark soy sauce and paired with bird's-eye chilli for extra heat." - SilverKris

Fuss free bkt stall and pretty good value money compared to their competitors around. Bkt soup is peppery and fragrant but not too overpowering. Maybe it will taste better if soup can be hotter. Pork ribs are tender. Nothing to pick on for a fuss free meal.

333 is an intriguing spot with a twist – it operates from 6 PM to 6 AM. Yes, you read that right! The odd business hours seem to align with the lively nightlight activities in the area. So, if you're a night owl, this place might just be your haven. The place is run by seasoned folks, and they've got their system down. Grab a buzzer, wait your turn, and soon enough, you'll be called to your table. Patience pays off! The food here is quite good. Tender pork ribs in a fragrant herbal soup – classic Bak Kut Teh. Feeling extra slurpy? You can ask for a soup refill. Because who doesn't love more warm, flavorful broth?

Slightly above average SG style Bak Kut Teh at an affordable price range. This is a toned down pepper soup, which suits those that don't like the soup to be too peppery. Pork Ribs are soft and succulent, and braised pork rice is decent too. Open from 6pm to 6am which is good for people that wished to eat dinner and supper.

The set meals were affordable, with soft and tender meat and adequate side dishes. However, the biggest letdown was the soup—it was overly sweet, which overshadowed the overall taste and spoiled the meal experience.

Slightly above average bak kut teh. Soup is tasty but not super pepperish. People whom do not like too peppery BKT wud enjoy this version. Place opens only at night until wee hours of the morning depending on their selling out. It is 1 of the better places for some hot comforting soup after a drinking session to help you survive home if you've drank too much. Our order came up to about $35. There is pig intestines, pork ribs, beancurd skin, pig livers, 1 order of braised egg(3pcs) and fried dough sticks(youtiao). Soup is of cos refillable. BKT that does not allow refills of soup are to be boycotted. Easy to find this place as it is located right behind the bus stop along balestier road.

This bak Kut teh stall is open from 6pm to 6am. In a street with four bak Kut the stalls in close proximity, this place is probably the most quiet and unpretentious, possibly even inconspicuous. The other BKT stalls were filled with people but we decided to take a shot and try this place out anyway. At 7.90 you can get a set meal with the bak Kut teh, rice and 2 side dishes??? What a steal!! At the established bak Kut teh chains 7.90 probably is only enough to get the soup with nothing else, not even rice. They were generous with the portions too and of course, the soup is a free refill. Not as peppery as the typical BKT but it’s still pretty decent. We also ordered some veg and pigs intestines. Everything was pretty good! All in all super worth, don’t really get why this stall is so quiet. Or maybe that’s better cause the old couple who run the stall might not be able to cope. Next time I come back I’m trying the lu rou fan for sure.

For those of you who love classic peppery Bak Kut Teh, this place is for you! There are many places that offer only one refill of soup. The owner here says, “Come and take as many refills as you want.” I order the spare rib set that comes with three pieces of spare ribs that are soft and moist, with two side dishes and one bowl of rice. My verdict is 8 / 10 in view of the classic old-time flavours. Don't expect five stars service as the store is run by an old couple, assisted by a middle-aged lady. The service is slow and steady so expect a wait when it gets really busy. The best thing to do is to get your own condiments in front of the kitchen so you can get what you want. The store is behind the bus stop so you can't miss it. For those who can't wait to taste it, they even have Grab and Foodpanda delivery service which to me is amazing. You don't have to agree with my verdict but I have a super soft spot for food prepared by the older generation before it is lost forever. Even as I review this, I thought of when will be the last time I eat at this place - to treasure this experience before the couple retires.

Old school peppery bak kut teh store at a very affordable price! The pork has been cooked until it's soft and slips off the bones easily, the soup has the perfect balance of peppery flavour. $7.90 for a set, which comes with the bak kut teh soup, two sides and white rice. Youtiao is $1.50 and canned drinks are $1. Though the service is a little slow, the Uncle and Auntie here are very friendly. Highly recommended. One set is enough for most people, especially if you add youtiao and a drink.
