READ BEFORE BOOKING! We rented a junior suite & a 2 bedroom suite for us and our family through Expedia. Our family was only issued a 7 day visa so on the final night of our stay, the 2 bedroom suite was empty. We were told if we would have booked through the hotel they would refund us and to reach out to Expedia. After multiple calls, emails and Expedia reaching out to the hotel, Expedia just emailed me and said the hotel has decided not to refund the final night. I was not planning on leaving a review of the condition of the hotel but now since they are stealing my money Im gonna post the entire condition. The 2 bedroom suite was disgusting, I was embarrassedour family had to stay in it. The carpet was FILTHY. Cigarette burns in the furniture and mattress. Both rooms freaked of cigarettes and when I returned to the US all of my clothes, suitcases, and everything that were in the hotel for a week smelled of cigarettes. We booked rooms with free breakfast and never got breakfast. Also Expedia says "full kitchens", no kitchen in either room. Our shower was full of black mold and the water temperature never got hot. The showers are not enclosed and water gets everywhere. You cant run the bathroom fan and the hair dryer at the same time or it trips the outlet. I felt bad about the cleaners cleaning our room everyday so a few days we turned on the do not disturb light and just asked for clean towels. Two of the nights there were no clean towels available, so they gave us bath mats for towels. The 2 bedroom suite had a leaking sink that soaked the carpet. The elevator was so small no more than 3 small people could fit. The 35 rooms bar downstairs played music so loud we had trouble sleeping. This is my 4th trip to Beirut. Ive stayed at hotels each time and this was the worst one by far. Save yourself the hassle and book somewhere else. Staff seemed nice but they obviously were telling us one thing about refunding the final night and now refusing. I tipped the housekeepers and the front desk staff when leaving which I now regret. Only positive is the location.
