The 8 Best Hostels in Barcelona (Updated 2025)

"360 Hostel Barcelona Arts & Culture felt like a bustling, communal spot that makes you feel at home: they run daily walking tours and nightly activities like cooking classes and free tapas, and there's a chill patio for hanging out. The dorms use metal bunks without curtains and the beds aren't the best, but there are lockers in every dorm and the hostel is super clean." - Matthew Kepnes

Room: clean, bed was particularly comfortable. Toilets & Showers: clean. Good water pressure. Lockers: free Staff: chill, 24 hours Social Atmosphere: yes, mostly through free dinner. Day activities and pub crawl didn’t consistently get much people. Crowd skewed older. Location: perfectly central, close walk to metro station. Tips: - Taking the R trains is free with Interrail. - Pub crawl is $20 paid once your entire stay, but you can enter the top clubs (Shôko, Opium, Pacha) for free with Shaz guest list. - The tapas and Mexican dinners seem to run out before everyone gets a portion, so consider a plan B on those nights Overall: comfortable and affordable. Would return for the rate of around $25 a night.

It is the hostel with the most group activities i have ever seen! Pretty good activities too! Every night people cook dinner together. Dinners are pretty decent and they are included in the price. We also went to play beach volleyball all together which was also quite nice. All the receptionist/volunteers are so helpful and friendly. They are pretty chill, not stressed about small things at all. I stayed in 6 bed dorm. The airconditioner was on all the time but you could ask them to change the temperature which is quite nice especially because it was cold at night. Also great location. The only thing i would wish them to have curtains for beds. Even the top beds are on the eye level so no privacy at all. But that’s an issue in many hostels i guess..

Staying at 360 Hostel was an incredible experience, and I'd highly recommend it, especially for solo travelers. From the moment I arrived, I was impressed by how clean everything was. The hostel also had a great variety of activities, making it easy to meet new people and have a fantastic time. It truly felt like a home away from home.

Most of the reviews I read before were accurate. I stayed a week room 4 bed 3 top bunk. Best things are the staff, location and free dinners. Everything was clean and great hot powerful showers. Only 1 sink upstairs so that was a bit frustrating. Good kitchen and 24 HR reception. The only negatives were unfortunately 2 big ones if you stay in room 4 only. The door lock is hard to work so every time someone comes in they wake everyone. Been a problem 2 years and the owners don't fix. Also metal bunks that creek so much every time you turn in the bed and no privacy sheet or power for phones in the bed. This is pretty basic in every hostel pretty much. We had 2 fans and it was the end of September. No sign of air con so it must be pretty awful in the summer. They have another hostel nearby which I visited and it looked much nicer. 360 Borne. Can't comment on facilities. Personally if I came back I would choose the other hostel, just for the feel. This is clean and functional but not a hostel vibe and I have stayed in loads. Hope that helps but for a few days avoiding room 4 you will probably find it fine and the free dinners are actually really good so a big plus. If they sorted the bunks, power, air con and door it would be super good.

Had a great time here! Isabella at reception was really friendly and had a great time on the pub crawls hosted by Christina and Morad, you get a special band which allows you to go on multiple pub crawls during your stay. I also enjoyed the walking tour as well, it was great to see all the important sights of Barcelona, and the host (I believe the host was called Erki?) was super informative. Would really recommend, thank you for having me!

We had such a great time at this hostel! All the staff was incredibly helpful, kind and accomodating. We were welcomed with free dinner while we were checking in, which was such a pleasant surprise. The rooms were comfortable, and it was easy to be social. Great location as well, super close to everything we needed. Would definitely stay here again if we return to Barcelona.

It was the worst hostel I’ve ever stayed in. I can’t even understand how this place has a 4.3 rating. They turned a room without even a window into a ten-bed dorm. The beds and lockers are old. When people cook in the evenings, the smell lingers in the room. The bathroom is not even a proper bathroom. The toilet doors are extremely old. The location is overrated, but it was okay. Cleanliness was just as it should be, nothing more.

This is a warning to all future travelers: do not stay here. This was, without a doubt, the worst hostel I have ever stayed in. The photos on the website are misleading. BED BUGS: On my third morning, I found a live bed bug on my bed. This is an extreme health and safety issue that should not be taken lightly. It's especially frustrating to discover this is a recurring problem based on other reviews. NO A/C: The air conditioning was completely broken, despite being listed as a room amenity. The room was scorching hot, and the staff's unhelpful response and a fan did nothing to cool it down. It's dishonest to advertise A/C when it's not working. Filthy and Broken Facilities: The shower drains were blocked, causing water to flood the floor. Multiple power outlets were not working. A light in my room was broken. The toilets were disgusting and smelled like a public restroom. The "social events" seem to be a distraction from the fact that this hostel is poorly maintained and lacks basic sanitation. Save yourself the trouble and the risk of bringing bed bugs home.
