After 2 weeks in Japan, partner and I were craving some good pasta. This place had to be one of our best eats on the trip. The atmosphere with live music was perfect and the staff were friendly and easy to communicate with since we speak English. The pasta was 10/10, the truffle fries are a must! Cocktails were delicious. Pricing is so good in comparison to Australian prices. Would come again if we come back to Shinjuku !

The place is nice. The prices are higher than other bars around, but since it looked cozy, we got in. Me and my husband ordered a steak dish each (3.200 / 3.600 yen). They were small portions! We had to order a 3rd dish. The meat was delicious but it needed more side. Drinks were ok (around 1000 yen). Was it good? Average. Would I go back? No. I’d check more options. We spent 15.000 yen (around 100usd), I’ve been to more beautiful places for less than that here in Tokyo.

Surprisingly good place to go for lunch and even accomodated us with a pram. The lunch specials are great value and we had the prawn pasta. The serving of prawns were generous and tasty. We also had aioli chips which was nearly the cost of our lunch set, and pretty small, but was very tasty. Service was friendly and welcoming.

The lunch menus here are good! Fine in variety, taste and prices (a K bill will do). The serving staff with a proper barman-like attitude, in a peaceful spacious atmosphere, is also comfortable. Many things could be different in dinner/drinking hours on this night town street, but, I’m feeling like coming back to try anyways sometime.

A decent restaurant located in a lively area near Shinjuku station. The set meals came with three courses and offered a variety of flavor. The drink menu was full of lots of choices and the bar in the front of the restaurant was plesant. The lamb chops were delicious and overall the food was satisfying.

Nice place to grab a delicious dinner. The beef here was really, really good. A decent selection of beer and other drinks too. The staff was friendly, but the place was packed and the servers were constantly busy. The vibe is nice and a good spot for a date. Check it out.

A more upmarket bar/restaurant than the average around it, great selection of alcohols inc wines and plenty of imported spirits a little pricier but the surroundings are more classy than some cheap wooden chairs they have a good menu but I was only drinking so can’t vouch for that

Don't get me wrong; this bar has a really cozy and intimate atmosphere, and the music and decor really set a great mood. However, even though it wasn't very busy, it nonetheless took them upwards of 15-20 minutes for them to bring our drinks each time we ordered. We had each ordered the same glass of wine, so it was not a complicated order; and they also twice forgot the water we asked for. I nearly cancelled the last glass of wine because it was taking them so long that I was afraid we'd miss the last train. When I said as much, the waiter finally looked alert and brought it right away - which showed me they CAN be fast when they try. Not sure what the issue was, maybe the idea is "slow food" to help people relax, but I was not appreciative of that when the last train time is looming. All in all I enjoyed it, and will try it again, hopefully next time the service will live up to the other positive aspects of the place. As an aside, one other thing I noticed was the beer prices. I'm a beer geek, so I go to a lot of breweries and brewpubs, so I know the rough cost that most places charge for a pint (475ml US). I was flabbergasted to see Isekadoya, a local beer, priced at 1,600 yen per HALF pint - that's outrageous. Local beers generally range from 800-1,200 a PINT at most brewpubs. It made me wonder if their wine is similarly overpriced - but as I am not a wine person, I couldn't really say; however, I did enjoy the wine itself.
