This is a very nice guest house situated in a quiet part of Venice but walkable to all of the main sites. The host is friendly and engaging and provided a wealth of information about things to do and see while there. Rooms are simply appointed but clean and comfortable. Breakfast was served every day with coffee or cappuccino. We would definitely stay there again.

Definitely the best place to stay!!!! Such an authentic and warm place with friendly staff. Delicious coffee and breakfast in the morning with a lovely garden view. Also you will get recommendations where to eat/wine and we found the best places in Venice thanks to that.

Thank You, Renate!||Why start with "Thank you, Renate"? Well, it was her recommendation that led us to spend our vacation in Venice at this beautiful guest house! I want to keep my praise short and sweet, which is quite a challenge because our stay was incredible in such a stunning city.||The charming little hotel is located in the Cannaregio district. Every morning began with an excellent and lovingly prepared breakfast, setting the tone for a relaxing day. After a day of exploring the lagoon city, we always looked forward to returning to this peaceful haven in the evening.||The owner is always attentive and eager to share great tips for discovering the city off the beaten path, helping us fall in love with Venice even more. Ponte Chiodo is highly recommended, and we will definitely not be visiting for the last time! And, of course, Renate will be going back too. ;-)

I can’t say enough about this wonderful place. Quaint entry Garden, Sweet barista who makes special artsy cappuccinos, perfect location. You can see the canal through your window and the historic ponte chiodo Bridge. The owner comes after the wonderful breakfast every morning to meet with you personally if you have any questions for your daily travel plans with local, not touristy suggestions. No wonder we met other quests who stay here many times. I’d love to go back!

Hospitality at its best! From the wonderful cozy traditional room overlooking the canal, to the beautiful breakfast room serving very descent breakfast with many choices and the location is perfect. 2 minutes walking from a nice pedestrian with many wine bars. Highlight of the hotel is Mattias, offering the best reccomendations on tours. Thank you for this great stay! We will definitely come back, when in Venice again!

The best place to stay!!! An authentic Venetian house with a wonderful atmosphere. The lovely garden and satisfying breakfast made it even more special! It’s perfectly located—close to everything but away from the crowds. Local wine bars and restaurants are just a few minutes away. I hope to be back soon!

This quaint authentic Venetian B&B is located next to a quiet canal a stones throw from away from the tourist hub. We really enjoyed watching the gondolas and school children paddle by at the end of the day from our window. The room we stayed in #3 was clean, comfortable, and a nice size. The lovely breakfasts were served in a beautiful courtyard garden complete with daily cappuccinos. If you are gluten intolerant, no worry, because plenty of gluten free options are offered. We loved our host Mattia's sense of humor and appreciated his guidance on how to navigate in Venice. If we return to Venice there is no doubt that Ponte Chiodo will be the place we will stay along with all of the other returning guests. Thank you Mattia for making our stay in Venice perfect!

Yelp
My husband I and absolutely fell in love with this B&B- it has the perfect location- close to all of the main attractions, however down a side street on a quiet canal. The owner, Mattio, was absolutely amazing and made sure that we had a comfortable stay. We stayed in a superior room which overlooked the canal- our room was very spacious- with a tv, large wardrobe and attached good-sized bathroom. After talking to other guests, we learned that there are some rooms that have shared bathrooms? If you're not into that, I'd suggest paying more for the larger room. I accidentally fried our outlet adaptor and luckily, in the bathroom, there was one american outlet so we were still able to charge all of our stuff without having to run searching around for a store. The room was spotless and there is free wi-fi. In our room, there also was a small fridge and if we bought a bottle of wine, you're able to store it in the large fridge downstairs. Every morning, breakfast is served from 8:30am-10:30am downstairs- weather permitting, you are able to enjoy your breakfast outside on the patio in the garden. Breakfast itself- consists of croissants and different pastries/cereal/yogurt/meats and Mattio will make you a cappuccino or coffee. Not going to lie, we had cappuccinos all over Venice and none compared to the amazing cappuccino that Mattio made for us every morning. When I told him this, he told me that he only uses the best beans- I'd probably stay here again just so that he could make me amazing cappuccino every morning :). Staying at Ponte Chiodo offered us the opportunity to really delve into Venetian culture as Mattio told us all of the good places to see and go- of course we hit up the touristy attractions, but our favorite parts of the trip involved getting lost/going to all of the local restaurants. I would definitely stay at Ponte Chiodo again!

Yelp
* VERY difficult to find. Make sure to print the directions off the website. My husband and I still had difficulty finding the place. * Cute garden area where they serve breakfast * Very loud at night especially if your windows face the canal. The hotel sits between two bridges where there are a lot of people outside at night and early in the morning. Also, we could hear people walking in the room above us, which was really loud. * Friendly owner * The guy who helps the owner also serves you breakfast and it is creepy how he stands in the doorway to the building and stares at you eat breakfast.... * Refrigerator and TV in room did not work. * Staff is not at hotel except for a few hours in the morning. * Free laptop to use. *Conveniently located about 10 minute walk from the water boat stop on the Grand Canal. * Beds are really hard and rooms need a facelift. * Would probably stay somewhere else the next time we come to Venice
