First time here for a business event. Place was very busy. We were a party of about 50. The help was terrific, the food was surprisingly very good. I say that because I feel sometimes very large restaurants don’t measure up because of volume. Portions were generous as well. I’d definitely go back!

Food was pretty good! I enjoyed the portions and the company. The manager and servers were excellent, and the vibes were good. Veal parm was good, and the penne vodka is a classic. Living on Long Island, it’s tough to not go back.

Been going here for years. Lately the food, service and atmosphere has gone downhill and their prices uphill. Now: - Food comes out cold. Warm mozzarella should be warm, along with the garnishes it comes with. Nope - everything frozen. - Drinks - overpriced - Entrees - overpriced. Due to competitiveness, please take a look at your prices again. - Waiters drop water all over the table when refilling glasses. - Napkins leave lints all over your pants - Management only comes to the high paying tables, not the regular joe tables. I am quite disappointed. If they keep this up, they will start to lose many of their regulars.

Our waiter this evening Marty "McFly" was fantastic. I think we amazed him with how much we eat ...lol. We will definitely put in our rotation more often. Don’t forget the Shrimp Krack !!

This place is fantastic. We were a party of 9 and the service was great with a menu to suit everyone. Having been 10 years ago when we last visited from England, we wanted to make a return visit for the chicken parmigiana which was just as good as we remembered. We had a variety of dishes including chicken franchese, zucchini pasta, meatball, eggplant parmigiana- all were delicious. Very good choices for vegetarians. We went on a Monday evening and it was very busy so be sure you get your reservation.

What a wonderful experience! Beautiful Decor, Spacious, & the food was Excellent. The Shrimp Crack was very Delicious! Definitely have to go back.

A few weeks ago, my family and I had dinner at 388 and it was amazing! Our waiter, Joe, really made the experience special. He was incredibly friendly, walked us through the whole menu, and gave us great recommendations for drinks and appetizers. We started with the meatballs, which were huge and delicious. For entrees, we had the chicken parm, the sauce was incredible and everything tasted so fresh. For dessert, I highly recommend the tiramisu. Everyone in my family loved their meals, and we can't wait to go back.

Had a party of 12 at 388 over the weekend. What a disaster and disappointment. From the moment we sat down we felt like we were being pushed into a fire drill. They wanted to turn the table over so fast they were rushing us, the food and the service that it was utterly uncomfortable. From the server splashing sauce in the face and clothing (and not even apologizing) to even being offered free round of drinks at the bar if we helped them turn the table over. I don't care if it's a weekend. Spread your reservations out wider. People don't spend 4 figures to feel like they are being rushed out the door. Horrible service and even worse excuse by manager. Lots of places to eat we can spend our money. This won't be one of them.

We went there this past weekend and the food is amazing! The service is fantastic. our waiter was so attentive to every detail. The ambiance in the restaurant is elegant but not stuffy. Our table of 6 had a wonderful evening and everyone agreed we are definitely returning soon.

Visiting family in my childhood hometown, we decided to bring in dinner for our crowd (8 adults). Ordering a spread of pastas, chicken, seafood dishes, and salads, we had a tasty cross section of the restaurant's specialties. Having tried a bit of everything, I attest that there was no failures - everything was excellent. And, if 388's take-out is this good, dining on site must be exceptional. The simple chopped salads were assembled with a focus on presentation and fresh greens. Crisp and cool, despite being take out. House oil and vinegar dressing was all it took to finish. The pastas - rigatoni in vodka sauce and linguine with olive oil and garlic - were precisely al dente and seasoned perfectly. Both sauces were luscious. Several chicken dishes were tender and diverse. The parmigiana retained the right hint of crisp and breading remained on the protein, covered liberally with mozzarella but not overdone. The chicken was thinly pounded but juicy, cutting easily with a fork. "Krak" chicken was chunky bites thickly sauced with a wonderful bite of peppers. The country chicken Scarpariello and sausage had both proteins treated respectfully to bring out the best flavors intermingled with fresh vegetables. The sausage conveyed a delectable hint of anise and observably lacked the too common inclusion of gristle that can easily ruin a top dining experience. The sausage was meaty with a silky consistent internal texture. I'd put both dishes to the top of a list when ordering. Like its terrestrial counterpart, the shrimp "Krak" could not be more surprisingly exciting. The jumbo shrimps were flawlessly cooked. Forks fought for pole position. If I think on it, I can make my tongue and palate salivate on command in Pavlovian anticipation. Uncommonly good sides of charred broccoli with garlic and fried cauliflower disappeared in a flurry of plates and utensils. I'm told that the Kobe meatballs are sinful indulgences. And, though we also did not order any veal, I can certainly extrapolate that the attention to details for pasta, chicken, and seafood, would predict equivalent mastery from the kitchen. I look forward to enjoying 388's fare again, from the viewpoint of in-house dining. Very, very, (very!) highly recommended!!

SO GOOD! The Shrimp Luciano was amazing. Veal Marsala you cut with your fork. The Rigatoni Bolognese was lights out-the pasta was truly al dente and flavorful. Fried zucchini and baked clams as apps were good. Great drinks! Cosmos, Espresso martinis and Old Fashioneds. Fun, classy atmosphere - 'modern old school' - and attentive service. Looking forward to our next visit!!

This was the first time eating at 388 Italian Restaurant as part of a party for my wife's cousin (on Saturday night). We had a variety of food and enjoyed every single bite. The service was outstanding. Highly recommended!!

TLDR: Tasty/filling value Italian. 388 Italian is one of those places that reminds you why dining in Long Island is awesome. Any dish that has Krak in it you should order. Randomly popped in with family. So much value, I almost was questioning who eats this much food. Nonetheless, 388 definitely gives you your money's worth. Split a fried calamari, baked clams, pasta a la (Alex/Chris/Joey - the one with lotsa meat) something, chicken parm and the shrimp Krak. Calamari was tender with a very light dusting for batter. Clams were tasty although a bit small and on the pricier side. The pasta with the meat was tasty. Chicken parm was solid. The Krak is probably what they're known for. I don't know what it is exactly but it tastes like garlic, vinegar peppers and a crap ton of butter. It's garlicky, savory, rich, tangy and delicious. Come with a big team, wearing even bigger sweatpants. You roll out of here, happy, full and food coma'd AF.

Easily the best Italian restaurant on Long Island. This place offers a modern take on Italian with the classics if you choose. They also own Chris and Tony's, which is same quality food. Amazing

Been coming here for years ! What can I say about 388 that has not been said prior ! The food is always delicious. Sometimes a wait on a Sat or Friday night with good reason ! Food is plentiful and always great service here ! Matty and Chris run a great operation. The chicken Alla Steve is excellent grilled chicken lightly breaded with sautéed onions. Yum. The pasta is always cooked perfectly. Can't go wrong with the chicken heroin or the Veal Valdostana ! The chicken parm sliders are also always good. Haven't ordered anything here I didn't enjoy. Huge family portions. Come hungry. You won't go home hungry that's for sure. !!

Nothing but a factory. Huge delays for drinks and far overpriced for the food - which was basic Italian. Couldn't fulfill basic drink orders - made a Negroni with tequila. Come on. Dropped $1k and the meal was totally forgettable. One and done for this place.

Made a reservation for 8:30 waited till 9pm to be seated then nobody seems to wanna take the order, waited another half an hour to order the food, and the kobe came out so bitter. The food is family style size, good portion. If you are looking for super loud environment shouting is necessary for every sentence and long wait time even with a reservation, this is the spot

We went with a party of 8 on the Saturday before Christmas at the highest time of 8p. Given we had a reservation but we waited no more than 10-15 minutes at the bar for them to seat us & they were SLAMMED. Right off the bat we were impressed how quickly the manager sat us & he checked in with us regularly at the bar to let us know the status. Our waitress was really great, attentive but not pushy or over the top. Very helpful with deciding the portions & she picked perfectly. All of our food was delish, all the meats we ordered, chicken & veal, are able to be cut by spoons bc they were so tender. Not that we would know though bc every single item that got to our table every food runner & our waitress would serve us. Which honestly was so helpful with a party of our size. We were all ranting and raving about how great the food was & the entire atmosphere. We enjoyed thoroughly & will definitely be back. Nice touch at the end the owner shook our hands & thanked us for coming. Classy Italian place all around

The rare restaurant where I wish Yelp let you give more than five stars. This place is absolutely incredible! For starters, the bread was warm and toasty and the Caesar salad was probably the best I've ever had. The chicken parm was unreal - perfect flavor, nice crisp, and absolutely divine; the rigatoni vodka was also cooked to al dente perfection and so flavorful. Oscar was an amazing server and checked in regularly, making sure we were enjoying everything. The one disappointment was the brownie desert, which was a bit more cakey than expected from a brownie, but we will certainly be back to 388, which might just be the best restaurant I've been to in years.

Had dinner here tonight and food was delicious. Had the chopped salad, fried calamari, baked clams, veal Marsala, penne alla vodka, Fresh mozzarella cheese and beefsteak tomatoes, Chicken Milanese. To end the meal had coffee and the light and airy Napoleon dessert. Everything was fresh and hot when it arrived and did I say delicious! Everything was cooked perfectly and was delicious. The calamari was cooked perfectly not chewy with the right amount of crispiness on the outside. The baked clams was delicious and the penne alla vodka was great. I couldn't stop eating it. And then the dessert, I was stuffed but it looked so delicious it was definitely a good dessert to end the night. Would definitely come back again!

A little bit of a scene, but the food does not disappoint . I would recommend this place if you are celebrating something, you get the back room

We were there recently and ate at the bar. Liz our bartender was a wonderful hostess and made the evening fantastic. We enjoyed the food as well as the unique atmosphere. The place is bigger than we expected. My wife wants to go back with her friends for their Ladies' Dinner Special. Looks like fun.

Last night we called 388 last minute at 830 looking for a 3 person table and they made it happen in 15 minutes! The space itself looks good, they have valet which was helpful but you can find street parking considering its next to residential houses. The baked clams were excellent, although there's need to be a notice that there's Parmesan cheese on it. It came SUPER hot which I absolutely love. For the entree, it's family style meals. We did the chicken Salvatore which was excellent (thin), along with the rigatoni pomodoro which was easy to tell that it's homemade. the red sauce was straight from Nonna's heart. For dessert - I was sooo excited to see the sorbets were old school! The orange sorbet came in an orange - I rarely see this style anymore. Overall, I enjoyed my strong jack and coke and our waiter was the coolest stand up guy. Overall I can't wait to come back.

Let's start with the food. The food was probably one of the best Italian meals I have had. Everything was super fresh and delicious. The restaurant was extremely busy but everyone was amazing providing service. My husband and I came for a date night and didn't realize that the restaurant was family style lol. Either way we ordered and ate our asses off! Everything was amazing and even had a bit to take home! The restaurant ended up needing us to move our table and we got moved to an even better table and took such good care of us seeing as how we have a baby at home and don't get out much. We will absolutely be coming back!! I do recommend making a reservation in advance!

Food: Plain good old Italian food. Everything we had was tasty. The portions are huge. Prices are reasonable for the portion that you get. We had fried zucchini, calamari, chicken parmigiana, linguini with pesto and cheesecake. My favorite thing that I had was the cheesecake and I am not a dessert person. It was a light, fluffy, lemony ricotta cheesecake! Probably the best Italian cheesecake I ever had. We also got two bottles of wine. I don't remember the names but the wine that they carry here is very good. Service: it was just okay. We had a reservation and we had to wait a while. The bar and entrance was so packed that we got pushed around while waiting. Our waiter was friendly but didn't give us much of his time . He seemed to be in a rush. Overall, this is a good spot for Italian food if you live in the area.

This is my review on takeout. Have you been here? This place is super amazing! We had a takeout order recently and I saw they set up the outdoor dining very nicely. They turned their outside lounge into a dining spot, it's like a wedding space. The lounge is still there, adjacent to it. Inside is another big space embracing the classic looks of a bistro. Beautiful interior and exterior. We had chicken scarpariello and linguini in clam sauce to go. Wow! I voted the best chicken scarpariello at this place! I've tried this dish at many restaurants, but most look and taste the same but this Chicken scarpariello was crispier than ever! I believe the crisp was the result of the broiler, that's why it was so good! We also enjoyed the hot cherry pepper in this container. On top of that, they put in the veal sausage, which I didn't eat, but Hubby said it was delicious too. The chicken dish was so delicious with or without everything else. The linguini with clam sauce was very good too. A lot of roasted garlic in both dishes, just the way I like it! The portion size was extremely large. Superb! I plan to dine in with Hubby next time. The food and service were excellent, however it was very loud to the point where you could not hear across the table, it was almost like Sunday dinner at grandma's house everybody talking but nobody listening all in all it was a very nice experience Will have to try in on a weekday when maybe it will be a little more calmer

Sooo delicious! Big portions for your buck and you're left with tasty leftovers the next day (who doesn't love that?). The servings are somewhat family style, or definitely shareable at the least if you go in a group. Their calamari, bruschetta, and krak chicken were especially delicious. I had asked our server a ton of questions about the menu and his suggestion was krak chicken. Typically it comes as shrimp but they'll make it as chicken too which I highly recommend. I would describe it as Italian Buffalo sauce, which trust me - it's great. The restaurant has a pleasant atmosphere; upscale and not too noisy but lively enough. The service is great and the whole staff is very kind and accommodating. I will definitely be coming back.

Great restaurant. The food is Italian with a few twists. Everything cooked well. Seems pricey but family style gigantic portions kinda place - nothing super gourmet. Service is professional. Clientele is trendy. Dining room was loud and dark, until 10:45pm when they start kicking people out since that's when Covid apparently starts to come out? Sauced items were good. They were able to accommodate requests with ease.

Had a fraternal organization board meeting over dinner here the other night. Service was on point as was the food. Portions were family style sized. We had: Fresh mozzarella and beefsteak tomatoes, Fried Calamari, Fried Zucchini, The 388 Salad, Penne with Broccoli Garlic & Olive Oil, Shrimp Luciano over spinach, Fillet of Sole. Followed by a Napoleon and a Tartufo. Also copious amounts of wine. All very, very good. I will return with my better half one day in the near future.

Loved this place!! Valet parking, great drinks. We has the 388 salad, baked clams, shrimp krak, chicken parm, penne alla vodka, broiled snapper, napolean cake, tiramisu, and cheesecake. All delicious but that vodka sauce and cheesecake...Mama Mia! Tyson was an incredible manager and can't wait to return! Outside seating looks lovely for a temperature appropriate evening.

Excellent food. We had a party of 8 on a Friday night and had a great time. The bill hurt at the end, but that's because we had several hard drinks and bottles of wine. Celebrated 2 great events. The food is excellent. Any dish you get is well worth it.

I recently met friends for dinner at this restaurant. The owner came over and seated us right away. The owner is a total gentleman, and attended to us like family. The food was outstanding as well as the service. Everything was served family style and was top shelf. The Red Snapper Livornese and the fried calamari was awesome. As far as Italian restaurants goes, I have to say they are one of the best. I look forward to going back, and I would definitely recommend going here.

Good Italian food in Long Island. Must try the Krak chicken, definitely our favorite dish there. Krak shrimp is good too, but I prefer the chicken. The seafood salad is really good too. Great service & friendly staff.

On December 5th my family and myself had the dinner and wine tasting experience and it was easily one of the best experiences that one can imagine from the verse wine options to the delicious appetizers that were served. We definitely had an impeccable time. Also shout out to the management/ownership/staff Jack, Tyson and everyone else who worked and accommodated us. Everyone was truly warming and made sure that we were as comfortable as possiblewe will definitely be back !

The service here is impeccable! We arrived before they opened and they allowed us to sit. Thank you! Brian is the best, personable and sincere. A very good friend of ours dines here regularly. We had a special peas, pancetta, onion app, baked clams, eggplant parm, red snapper oreganato with steamed spinach, shrimp over rice, 1.5 lobster special, the napoleon and Italian cheesecake both homemade! Nothing overly salty, oily or dry. The eggplant was sliced thick, perfect. It's paper thin and tasteless elsewhere. The shrimp were fresh, bright, not rubbery frozen. Snapper was pure comfort food, not usual description for fish. All portions were sizable. Napoleon was super sized and light, ever so sweet. The cheesecake had fair amount of ricotta, anisette and moistness. Enjoy!

The food at 388 is exceptional. You can order family style or individually. Their red sauce is excellent and doesn't give me heartburn! The service is very good and attentive. On a noise level, on a scale from 1-10, I'd give it an 8. Pretty loud.

Good martini, good service but portions were a little disappointing for family style. The salmon certainly wasn't enough for 2 and the clams were small and few. Pretty place. I hope it gets better. Other Boca family style restaurants are still better

Can't get enough of their fried calamari! Service was great, attentive but not overbearing. Wasn't a fan of their baked clams (don't like a lot of breading) but the cook was quick to redo the order for me. Will definitely be back

Amazing food ........perfection........ best chicken seasoned with vegetables with wings as appetizer

We had a reservation for 8:30 for my girlfriend dad birthday. Its 9:30, we are at the table with no food or bread. There are no waiters, nothing. Would not recommend others to come. You would at least expect a apology from management or some type of bread/ app if we have been waiting for past 1 hour at our table.

This is our go-to for Italian in our area. We are regular guests for sure and every time we go we have an amazing experience. Chris, Matty, and the service team are all outstanding and make you feel like part of the family when you visit. The food is amazing and the family style menu is a really fun way to dine with friends and try different dishes. The atmosphere is really nice and the restaurant may appear small from the outside view, but it really is very spacious. The cost is very reasonable given "high-end" feel to this restaurant overall. Love this place and will always be a loyal customer!
