388 Tay Motel

Very friendly owner, and staff. Clean and tidy. Room is very spacey. Not far from town. Free internet ans park. Wish they have Netflix though as sky movie is very old. No HBO channel. But have all sport channels if you are into sport. We got the room with spa in the bathroom. Very nice good quality spa tub. Coffee and tea are standard. One free plunger coffee. $2 if need extra. But we are close to supermarket so not too bad if you need more and stronger one. Really enjoy our stay. We will stay for 5days 4nights.

Such a nice big room. The bed was super comfy and bathroom is also massive. Looks like the accommodation has been updated recently and feels like a new unit. Very quiet at night.

A clean motel with good sized rooms on the main street into Invercargill. Its located on a busy road but it quietens down at night. Tea and coffee making facilities and a separate bedroom was good. Free parking on site. I suppose you could walk into town but we didn't we drove.

As a travel agent of over 25 years I have inspected more properties than I care to admit. Our overnight stay at 388 Tay Motel was exceptional value for money. The warm welcome at reception, extremely clean, well appointed and comfortable 2 bedroom unit exceeded expectations. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

The proprietor here is great, professional and extremely helpful. Really enjoyed the unit I had at the back of the complex. The kitchenette was well stocked and I good not fault it.

Very handy to Stadium Southland. Clean, tidy, very friendly management!!! My only gripe - no smart tv, just the very generic motel tv option with Sky. Bring your tablets or devicea if you're planning to binge watch anything online!

We stayed for 2 nights. Extremely clean and tidy, very well appointed, very comfortable bed and unit. We would highly recommend 388 Tay Motel. Kay and Robin extremely helpful and welcoming.

Great place to stay, room had a spa bath and spacious. Quiet despite being on the main road and the bed was excellent. Both slept well in the King size bed, two separate mattresses on the base made for a big difference. Invercargill motels can be chilly at times but this was pleasantly warm all the time. Nice touch from Robin to close the windows late afternoon and turn the heaters on. You probably need wheels to go anywhere from the place but it is only a short distance to Town and a brief walk up the road to Transport World. We spent five days there and it was very pleasant, recommended.
