"Something that I didn't realize about Sonoma is that everything closes at 9:00 PM. I was able to find a really beautiful lounge that stayed open until 11:00 PM—you'd go there, and there's about 10 fire pits in front of the hotel and it's really, really beautiful. We'd sit outside near the pits, chat, and relax."

I have been to this lounge many times. They share a kitchen with the Michelin star appointed restaurant Sante. Service here is fantastic. Get to know the servers and bartenders, they will treat you like a rockstar. The bartenders are talented and will make specialty drinks if you ask. I'm a non drinker and they made a fantastic blackberry cream drink that was reminiscent of a creamsicle. They have an extensive wine list and even offer screaming eagle by the glass. As a non wine drinker I'm not sure what that means, but it seemed to be a big deal for those that did drink. If you are staying at the Fairmont, certain room rates can have discounts on the food. Do inquire about that! Its a great savings.

Went here on the Travel Zero lunch coupon. Save your money and go somewhere else. Service was practically non-existent. All four of us order the steakfrites. The steak wasn't hot enough to melt the truffle butter. The butter was a cold coagulated mess that sat on the edge of the cold plate next to the bloody cold beef. The fries were warm at best. The waitress came by once. No drink refills, no water refills. We sat with empty wine glasses for over 3/4 of our meal. To top it off they nail you with a $32.00 service fee. The meal and service wouldn't justify a $10.00 fee. A $64.00 tip/service fee was outrageous and completely unearned. Me wife sent her meal back. They obviously microwaved it or stuck it under a salamander and sent it back with the vegetables soggy and over steamed. The steak still not hot swimming in warmed blood. As 30 year Sonoma county residents we would have expected much more for our money. Will never come back and will never recommend.

The bartenders make good drinks. The expresso martinis are made without bailey's. I prefer my expresso martinis with bailey's because it adds a smooth finish on my pallet. I was pleasantly surprised how good the Highway 12 Sauvignion blanc tasted tasting true to it's grassy roots. The Caymus petite sirah is a delicious red wine for a dark fruit palette.

I was very impressed with the entire experience. Order a $36 filet that could sell for twice that easily. Perfectly cooked and seasoned exceptionally well. Our server was knowledgeable and very personable. Wine selection was great. Heat lamps everywhere so outside accommodations were terrific. This place is legit.

Ordered an old fashioned he made a manhattan instead and insisted they use sweet vermouth in their old fashions to cover it up. It was disgusting. Watch them closely here!

Drinks were good. Nice cigar selection and the fried chicken sandwich was one of the best things I've ever eaten.

Yelp
Excellent service & food! Although we've lived in Sonoma for over 5 years, it was our first time dining at the Fairmont. We were sat rather quickly & a server came to take our food & drink order almost immediately, we felt very well taken care of. Our food was prepared to perfection! My husband ordered the Steak Frites, sooooo delicious & I ordered the Salmon, it was so crispy on the outside & juicy on the inside -- my husband who doesn't like Salmon, ended up sneaking a few bites off of my plate! The restaurant is clean & perfect for lunch dates, they provide comfortable seating with enough space between tables to be able to enjoy a conversation with your group. 10/10 would eat here again!

Yelp
Ambiance is typical hotel bar, but after receiving sub-par service in the restaurant next door the service was fantastic! Once seated our beverage order was taken and then our dessert order. Our server was very kind and efficient and checked on us multiple times. Will definitely be back to this location during our stay.

Yelp
Service here was unbelievable. The wait staff and bar tenders were great. We had our one year old daughter who was raisin cain and they were there to help clean up immediately (and we felt awful about the mess she made). 5 stars for them. 3 stars for the chicken sandwich. As a self proclaimed fried chicken expert, the sandwich was okay. They sell this as a Nashville hot chicken sandwich (which is my favorite food) but it's more like a fried chicken sandwich with spices on it. The brioche is obviously top notch because you can never go wrong with brioche. But that was the highlight of the sandwich. The chicken was kind of thin and lacked flavor/spice. Maybe my taste buds have been burned off by the amount of Nashville hot I've had, but this one didn't crack my top ten. Great fries though! Also their curried chicken pot pie will knock your socks off!

Yelp
This is a basic hotel lounge. Nothing over the top. Service was quick because the lounge wasn't busy. Didn't care for the wine list but they offer delicious Parisian Sidecar. Cheese plate was very good and the shrimp tostada type dish that I can't recall the name of. Check it out if you're at the Fairmont.

Yelp
If I could give 0 stars I would. My folks, brother and I choice this over a local joint because the sommelier said it was incredible food. The service was awful, the food was below mediocre and everything was over priced. Nothing about the food was left desired, unless you enjoy soggy fried chicken, cold "lobster nachos" and flavorless French soup. We waited for over 20 min for 3 tiny scoops of ice cream and another 10 min for a check. The waitress should've seen our distaste for the experience yet did nothing. I pulled the sommelier Over to tell him we all worked in the service industry and there was no way how slow it was in there than everything was beyond bland. He said he would grab the manager and I shouldn't have been surprised that he never showed after 10 minutes of waiting. And to top it off we're staying the night here. End rant.

Yelp
Jesswill made our entire experience this evening. When he left for the night everything went downhill!

Yelp
Stopped in before our reservation at Santé and was pleasantly surprised by the impressive wine by the glass selection, which even included Screaming Eagle and Dom Perignon! There are also several wine flights available; I did the "Big Reds" flight which included offerings from Stone Edge, Gemstone, and Kamen. I recall their craft beer selection was decent too, so there's probably something here for everybody. Service was attentive and friendly, and food from Santé is available as well. Very happy with my short visit here.

Yelp
38 Degree North Lounge is truly a sexy, swanky spot. I sat at the bar two nights in a row and enjoyed cocktails, light bites, sports on TV and conversations. Such a gem at the lovely Fairmont.

Yelp
Stayed at the hotel for a weekend and ate and more importantly drank here on multiple occasions. Wonderful ambiance and atmosphere with a great and friendly staff. Drink selection was very good and the food was great also. Will definitely be back if we are in the area. -B

Yelp
It looks like an ordinary resort bar. It was not. It mostly depends on the bartender. Debrah was on my every need. She knew her bar, she knows the food, she knows people. I was served quickly with creativity and a fun attitude. I recommend the Sonoma Mission Inn for all their programs and restaurants, especially Lauren in the breakfast room.

Yelp
Located at the Fairmont, the 38 degrees North is newly renovated contemporary bar that serves food from Sante, the Michelin Starred restaurant. They even serve Screaming Eagle by the glass at $750 each or half glass for $375. I enjoyed the French Onion soup which was full of flavors. A great place to come during the day (opens from 3:30pm) and take advantage of the free wine tasting at the hotel lobby @4:30 everyday and grab a bite to eat at the bar.

Nick S.

Yelp
Food's a little pricey but it's in the Fairmont so not too surprising. The food and portion sizes are quite good though. The mushroom flat bread is tasty and big enough to share, and the French onion soup is also very good. Plus, a very nice selection of wines by the glass.

Yelp
My wife and I loved this lounge, and all it's delicious foods. The lounge was extremely comfortable and relaxing, and our server, Deb made sure it was a wonderful experience. She was very helpful with her suggestions, and the deviled eggs, croquettas, meatball and french dip were all perfect, no changes needed at all. We appreciated how attentive and accommodating Deb was, and how, even though she was busy, she never seemed rushed or hurried. And btw, the truffle pop corn was amazing! We will definitely be back to enjoy it all again soon.

Yelp
Love the menu and wine selection. Wine prices are a bit steep but expected for the Fairmont. When we stayed there we got the market salad with chicken and the deviled eggs with black truffle, which were amazing! They also bring nuts and home made potato chips when you are seated. Although one of the times they didn't bring it and it was annoying to ask, and the service was very slow. I understand when it gets busy, but when I had to wait over 10 minutes to see a server it can get frustrating. Other than that, I love the place.

Yelp
Beautiful setting, nice selection of wines and tasty appetizers. We had great hummus and pita, and roasted shishito peppers. Martinis were good, but could have been a bit more chilled (shaken, not stirred). Deep wine by the glass selection. Pretty quiet for us one January week night, but overall quite enjoyable. We'll be back!

Yelp
Great experience and choice of wines by the glass. The bartender John not only helped use choose the best wines to enjoy, but he also took the time to share great tips on wineries to visit during our stay. Highly recommended!
