3B Barranco by Katari Hoteles (antes 3B Barranco's - Chic and Basic - B&B)

Such a great choice if you’re staying in Lima. The location is hard to beat — close enough to stroll into lively neighbourhoods filled with excellent restaurants, and within walking distance of the beach as well. The room and bathroom were spotless, the bed was super comfortable, and it was wonderfully quiet at night. The shower had the best pressure and heat that we experienced throughout our trip in Peru. Breakfast was included and nicely done, with hot dishes, fresh fruit, juice, and good coffee and tea. The staff were warm, welcoming, and happy to share local tips. I wouldn’t hesitate to book this hotel again.

This is about the 4th. time that I've stayed in this B&B in the past few years and each time it's been consistently satisfying in every respect. This is not a fancy place so, if what you're looking for is luxury, you better look somewhere else. If you want a pleasant, safe and friendly atmosphere, this is it. 3B is clean from top to bottom and the service is impeccable. Elizabeth, the manager, is the most helpful and competent administrator you could ask for. Her staff is efficient and equally friendly. The rooms are more than adequate; they're quiet and are cleaned daily. The showers are good. Breakfast is served from 7 to 11 and you can pick one of five choices. Rosa, the lady that prepares the meals, is the sweetest and most accommodating person you could find so, as in my case, if you have special requests, she will do whatever she can to fulfill them. In terms of value, you're not going to find a deal in all of Lima that could beat this one. It's located in a very nice area of Barranco, near the malecón and some good restaurants. Walking is really a pleasure in this district. I found the rate per night in this B&B to be extremely reasonable, more so considering that it could include a taxi rides to and from the airport at an unbelievable prize. Overall, a great place to stay whether you're there by yourself or with family.

A very pleasant small hotel with an exceptionally kind and helpful receptionist. The breakfast selection was great, and since we had some digestive problems, she even prepared a suitable breakfast option for us. Everything was clean, new, and in perfect order. A truly comfortable and welcoming place – highly recommended.

Our favorite hotel of the trip, more comfortable than many five-star hotels. While breakfast isn't a buffet (and I'm usually a traveler who likes to fill up on breakfast and skip lunch), my daily omelette was delicious, especially when paired with hot chocolate and bird watching in the peaceful, verdant courtyard. Not eating an enormous breakfast also let us graze throughout the day and appreciate the food and desserts in nearby cafes/bakeries/restaurants. We stayed in Miraflores when entering the country for the first time and Barranco before leaving, and preferred our Barranco half of our Lima experience, and that was in huge part due to our B&B. They were also very reasonable in providing us with a partial refund when we had to cancel a room in our booking due to a member of our party having to go home unexpectedly. Laundry service is reasonably priced ($3-4 USD/kg if I recall), although we didn't use this. I will stay here again if I return to Lima.

We stayed here for 2 nights at the start of our trip. The rooms are clean but very much no frills - no hairdryer etc & our room was a bit 'tired' with cracks in tiles etc. Breakfast was good - simple but cooked to order & the free drinking water available all day was very welcome. Location was good & staff were lovely, very helpful & welcoming. Overall a great budget option in Barranco.

Perfect for a few days/nights in Lima. It’s really good value for money. The reception was amazing she speaks English, French, German and of course Spanish. She gives loads of tips where to go what to do and obviously also food suggestions. Definitely one of the big bonus points of the hotel.

A very warm welcome at the check-in and assistance in all matters. Breakfast starting at 06:30 is convenient for morning flights. There is also a 24/7 coffee station. Also, in my opinion, a very good and safe location in Lima. In general, I highly recommend this hotel.

This property exceeded my expectations on all counts. An easy three block walk to the ocean, and about 15 minutes to the heart of Barranco. The surrounding neighborhood has everything you need including good restaurants, markets, pharmacies, atms. The entire facility is sparking clean and welcoming. The beds are very comfortable, breakfast is made on the spot based on your order (including freshly cutting the fruit and juicing the oranges), and great coffee is always freshly brewed in the morning. The shower has good pressure and hot water is plentiful. Daily housekeeping. Elizabeth recommended a tour company and we booked a half day market and food tour that was one of the best I’ve ever taken (Lima Experience). There is some traffic noise at times which I didn’t find bothersome. We could hear another guest using their bathroom one night but again nothing overly bothersome. I would stay here again and recommend to anyone. Book direct for the best price and email the property with any questions. Elizabeth is very responsive and helpful - a perfect host!
