So nice to be tucked away from the tourist crowds but just a short walk to anything in town. We had a warm welcome and a hand with the bags up (and up and up) to our room, one of the two (#8 and #9) on the top floor. The climb was worth it for the breezes and the views, and the shared terraces were never crowded if we wanted to eat breakfast or relax onsite in the evenings. Really a perfect choice. ||If you continue climbing past the guesthouse, there is a good path up to a cemetery and onward to the Agia Matronas monastery for some spectacular views. Wear good shoes, but it's really not too strenuous, and you'll pass hardly another soul. The more popular walks along the coast to Mandraki in one direction and as far as Plakes in the other are also very rewarding.

Place is amazing. Rooms are decent price and clean. It has great view and nice staff. Great location only 7 minutes walking from the port. It had all amenities and also coffee and tea. I would recommend this place to everyone visiting Hydra..

Flooded by an overnight rain! This place needs renovations/waterproofing immediately. The owner shrugged and said “it rained”!! His actions indicated that this was a regular occurrence. He was actually going to charge us for that night, but I said no very firmly. The place is stingy. Very narrow hard beds. ONE teabag (for a two-night stay.). Shower is TINY and the shower curtain doesn’t reach the floor.

We stayed for 4 nights. A very warm July and the A/C was a bit weak. And the shower never got really cold. But on an island like Hydra we didn’t expect everything to be perfect. It was silent and the hotel has multiple terraces to choose from if you for example bring your own breakfast (small fridge and kettle in the rooms). Nice hosts that knew everything there is to know about the island. Eat where they recommend! :)

Arriving to Hydra for the first time was amazing. The walk to the guesthouse is easy and scenic. They welcome you with a map of the island and give you a detailed explanation of the best Greek food, where to hike, get sweets, etc. Just one phone call away they don’t hesitate to make you feel home away from home. 100% recommend.

A beautiful guest house five minutes from the bustle of the port. Our room was very comfortable and clean and well equipped. (small bathroom but perfectly adequate). Our room had a double aspect of the mountains and the sea. We loved the variety of terraces which any residents can use. Note there are 56 steps up to room 8 but it's cheaper than going to the gym! The hosts were always available and nothing was too much trouble. Nereids gives 10% discount on breakfast at Isalos - not the cheapest for breakfast but the food was very good. On our penultimate day we discovered the bakeries in town and opted for a croissant and coffee. Lovely to lie in bed and listen to the cockerels, donkeys and birdsong. Felt very refreshed after our stay here.
