3HB Faro (Faro, Algarve) 2 Verified Reviews | Tablet Hotels

"The Algarve city of Faro is no stranger to tourism, but at the time of 3HB Faro’s opening, this kind of urban luxury resort was without local precedent. The location is central, right in the pedestrianized heart of this compact city. And while the phrase “urban resort” is often meant loosely, it’s entirely apt here — witness the rooftop pool, lined with loungers, that looks out not over a beach but over the rooftops of Faro’s city center." - Tablet Hotels

This hotel meets the already high set expectations. On arrival the staff on the front desk were lovely and very informative. Since our room wasn’t quite ready yet, they stored our bags for us and we made our way to the terrace roof restaurant. The food was the perfect size and the breeze was lovely.||Our room itself was fantastic. The balcony was a cute perk, the beds were comfy, the AC worked perfectly and the bathroom was spacious and stunning. The mini fridge was fantastic- with free coke, water and milk. The house keeping was superb. My room was constantly tidied, cleaned and refreshed.||Now onto the rooftop area. The pool was beautiful although a little on the chilly side - however- the heat in Portugal makes the chilliness necessary! And whilst we did not take advantage of this, there is an indoor pool, spa and gym. We had little trouble finding a sunbed but they do get quite busy around 5pm. The only slight criticism I have is that potentially they could have less decking chairs and more sunbeds as there was an excess of decking chairs and occasionally a shortage of sunbeds.||Faro itself is slightly run down but is stunning and the vibes are fantastic. Another perk of this hotel is it location. Its a two minute walk from the marina and is meters away from some fantastic restaurants. We got the local ferry to the sandbar which i couldn’t recommend more. It was easy, cheap and the beach was lovely- not overcrowded yet managed to maintain a happy buzz about it.||Overall, this hotel lived up to its positive reputation and i would definitely visit again! Thank you so much for our superb stay.

Just returned home from a fabulous 5 night break at 3hb Faro. It was so good we booked an extra night. Beautiful Hotel. The rooms are impeccable. We stayed in a suite on the second floor and the housekeeping staff are to be commended - always friendly when we passed on the corridor and nothing was too much trouble. The rooms were beautifully made up each day to the highest standard. ||The pool area is lovely but don’t expect a sunbed unless you’re there very early but the surrounding seats are comfortable enough. The pool isn’t heated which is fine at this time of year but it would annoy me if it was May/June/September. The food at the pool bar is excellent. ||The quality of food at the breakfast buffet is outstandingly fresh and eggs etc can be ordered from a fairly limited hot food menu. There are sausages and bacon in a separate part of the buffet which would be my only criticism. I think all hot food in a 5 star hotel should be cooked from scratch at the point of order. ||I also had a massage which was booked through the spa and it was excellent.||It’s a quiet atmosphere in the hotel over all - suitable for families with young children and adults. I would imagine a family with older children might find that that the children could be bored if staying for more than a couple of nights. ||Thanks to all the staff for looking after us so well.

I was so impressed by the beauty of this hotel. They were so nice and so welcoming. Our best part of our stay was having breakfast each and every morning and sat in the same spot every day. What was so surprising was our waiter Paulo greeted us with a smile and an inviting gesture. He gave us service with a friendly smile and made us feel very important . We always had small conversations with him each and every day. We would like to thank Paulo for the extra attention as we are an elderly couple. Thank you for making us feel special. We had a fantastic 4 night stay in Faro at this hotel. We booked last min so were grateful to find something good. We didn’t eat breakfast at the hotel as there’s plenty of restaurants within walking distance of the hotel which provides flexibility on type of cuisine and the time that we want to eat. I find this better as I get to have a lye in and eat exactly what I want to eat than over eating at a breakfast buffet. They provided plenty of drinking water on a daily basis and coke cans in the fridge which was a nice touch. The staff were super friendly from start to finish! We felt extremely looked after. The cleaners did a fabulous job also and were always so friendly! The spa facilities were also great and the gym was great too. However I had a hydrating facial and my husband had one of the Japanese massages with a facial. For the price we paid I think the experience was extremely underwhelming. The lady carrying out the treatments didn’t engage with either of us to find out any concerns we had before the treatment. With the facial she cleansed, toned my skin then applied a mask and then removed it and added moisturiser. No facial steam/ any machines. I might aswell have done this myself in my room! It was nice to be pampered on holiday so I didn’t mind too much but I wouldn’t recommend the treatments at the spa.

My husband, 5-year old daughter and myself had a terrific experience staying at 3HB. We enjoyed dinner at the Italian restaurant as well as lunch poolside. The staff, including concierge, were incredibly helpful and accommodating to us throughout our stay. We stayed in a suite and it exceeded our expectations - lots of room and the beds were very comfortable. I highly recommend staying at 3HB if traveling with mild-mannered children, the rooftop pool was quiet and full of a lot of couples but no one seemed bothered by the kids (something I always try to search for in reviews when traveling with my family). Such a lovely home base while visiting Faro and neighboring towns.

I arrived home today after a week at 3HB. This was a fantastic experience. The staff were incredibly helpful upon arrival and allowed us access to the facilities despite arriving very early on in the day. The rooftop pool was a little cold however this was ideal given how hot it can be in Portugal. (especially for a British visitor!)|Myself and my partner made use of the spa facilities regularly, the gentleman working the spa was absolutely fantastic.|The breakfast was great. A choice each day of eggs made how you like them as well as crepes and pancakes, choices of cereal and a “breakfast buffet” type meal with bacon, sausages etc. May I also add the gentleman who served us for the first four days at breakfast, I believe Paolo was his name was absolutely brilliant and a great addition to the staff team. He was incredibly polite and competent and we wished we could have seen more of him! A shoutout to Sara in the upstairs bar too- lovely lady!|The views from the rooftop were brilliant on an evening, especially to watch the sunrise/sunset. |Overall a brilliant stay and I hope we are lucky enough in the future to return to this hotel.

Great facilities, staff, atmosphere, and comfort. Absolutely worth booking. The hotel is modern, clean, and in a good location for accessing things to do and places to eat. The breakfast and restaurant were excellent, too.

This is an excellent hotel. The staff were friendly and helpful, our room was large, clean and luxurious with a lovely soft bed. Make sure you visit the spa which has a wonderful pool, fun showers and a sauna and steam room. It’s a real treat and open to children from 10am - 2pm which seems sensible. My 8 year old loved it and we had a fun relaxing time. Make sure you include breakfast. The buffer may not be the largest but it is well presented and of the highest quality. In addition you have three chefs cooking off a menu of some great choices included in the price. An absolute must. The pool top terrace is a great place to hang out and the food is amazing. A special mention to their club sandwich. It was the best I have had at any hotel. This place is worth the trip to Faro.
