"I went home for a little bit and then to a little Japanese store in my neighborhood called The 3rd Floor. She makes these amazing rice balls and miso soup and various coffees and teas and sells a lot of Japanese snack foods."

Google
A charming neighborhood spot with delicious, fresh rice balls and great drinks. It's fun browsing the snacks, old books, and knick knacks while I wait for my order. Still one of my favorite places to stop by on a nice walk.

I have biked by this place a dozen times but never stopped in until this morning, and I’m so glad I did! They’ve been around six years she told me. I got the white tip Jasmine tea latte with oat milk (they also have almond milk) and a mushroom onigiri. They were both bomb. So many Japanese hand snacks and tea drinks. No places to sit, but I still highly recommend!!

I was taking a short video to show my husband so we could plan to come back after his appointment. The owner informed me that photos and videos weren’t allowed, so I immediately apologized and stopped recording. She repeated herself, so I explained that I genuinely didn’t know—and apologized again. Rather than letting it go, she continued to press the issue insisting there was a “very large sign” posted. As I left, she pointed at the door and asked, “Do you see it now?” in a tone that felt unnecessarily hostile. Needless to say, we won’t be returning. Unfortunate since it’s such a cute space with so much potential. Side note .. I rarely leave bad reviews, especially not for small businesses.

Perfect little neighborhood gem. The food is excellent and the owner is so sweet. This is a business you immediately want to support and become a regular.

Love this place! Tons of really cool Japanese snacks and amazing homemade rice balls which my daughter absolutely loves and devours! The owner is super charming and welcoming. She's really become a big part of our neighborhood.

Google
Really cute but the attitude is surprisingly rude and the food is just alright. The first time I thought the shop owner was having a bad day, but I've been there 3 times and it's the same every time

Google
I would’ve given a 1 overall but the food made up for the extra star. I wanted to take a photo and was scolded by the owner saying not to take photos and they don’t do social media. I felt that I needed to delete the photo because she was very stern. I wanted to sit inside and enjoy my food (no frills authentic Japanese onigiri, very tasty) but there wasn’t any seating and overall atmosphere felt weird after I ordered. I ended but eating my food outside of the shop. Disappointed. Good food but service needs work.

Google
I love this cafe. It has amazing onigiris, coffee and a shop area with a great selection of items (wrapping paper, mugs, snacks, candles, cards, etc). The owner is very kind! I walked away with a latte, shrimp tempura onigiri, a candle, and wrapping paper and will be back for more.

Yelp
I've been here a several times but realized I haven't reviewed. Sadly it isn't consistent and this last visit was possibly the last. Ordered a chai but what I got was a cup of milk with a splash reminiscent of spices. I use to come here for the onigiris. They use to be a good chunk of filling but this visit what I got was a ball of rice, no filling :/ Overall it's no longer my go to spot when I'm in these parts but if it lasts I may give it another try far in the future.

Yelp
This place is a hidden gem. Stopped by early one morning, and immediately was transformed into a mom/pop store in Asia. The store is both retail and food - a wonderful marriage where you can order a matcha latte with a few rice balls, and then peruse the store finding hidden gems while they are being made. A fantastic place for an interesting gift -- I found a cat themed soy sauce dish. Peculiar but fun. If you are in the neighborhood, make the stop!!!

Yelp
This is a cute cafe corner store that offers yummy Japanese centric treats and goodies, coffee, and onigiri. I've come a handful of times for the onigiri. I think the onigiri is probably on par with those of ten ichi in the neighbourhood but probably a little bit more pricier.

Yelp
I love a good weekend solo walk to from Williamsburg to Greenpoint. Of course, my favorite parts of my solo walks are rewarding myself with a little treat as I wander the streets. 3rd Floor is the ideal spot for a little pick me up. They've got coffees and teas for all your beverage needs, and the coffee is pretty solid here. Matcha and other teas are high quality as well. They also sell a variety of onigiri, which in my humble opinion is the perfect food to eat on the go. I have always been partial to salmon. I like that they add the seaweed after you order so its nice and crisp. The key to any customer's heart is in the attention to detail!

Yelp
So I totally stumbled upon this place when I was in the area for something else. I asked for something a little weird because I saw they did jasmine and matcha lattes and I wanted a mix. She told me it would "be strong flavored" and I said it was fine and I'd like it. I was not wrong. I got it unsweetened with oat milk and it was THE BEST tea latte I have EVER had!!! I wish I had gotten a large, honestly. I asked for it to be more jasmine than matcha and it had the amazing fragrance/taste of jasmine as well as the really rich flavor of matcha. I wish I lived local so I could drink it more often. The shop also had a lot of cute looking Japanese snacks (onigiri, mochi, seaweed salad) along with teas and other little items. Really a fantastic place with great service!!!

Yelp
Went and got a beef onigiri and salmon onigiri. Both were delicious but the salmon onigiri was EXTRA yummy! The lady working there was very sweet and helpful. Although it is definitely pricier than the other nearby onigiri.

Yelp
It's a cute corner store with interesting Japanese related items. The prices are fair and I like the customer service. I found these chocolate filled sticks that had green tea Matcha in it. I couldn't stop munching. If you're around the area and want to bring something interesting to a house party I recommend you to stop by and see what hidden gem you could find.

Yelp
i was minding my business sitting on the bench outside. mind you, there were multiple seats, all empty. it was also a random 2pm on a Thursday, so not busy at all. nobody in the shop, and barely any people walking around. also, i live right next to them and people rarely sit on the bench regardless. anyway, a grumpy older lady came out of the store and told me i can't sit on the bench outside, on public property, and told me to leave. literally rude and weird for no reason at all.... just be a good person. it's not that difficult. why aren't u letting a fellow neighbor enjoy a seat outside? i suggest supporting another small business instead, one that actually deserves it.

Yelp
we come here all the time and we have made a personal connection with the oner. we highly recommend this place as it has the biggest variety of onigiri and lots of other stuff. we tried the salmon onigiri and fell in love with it we also recommend the Yuzu lemonade.

Yelp
I'm in love! Delicious rice balls and miso soup, Japanese snacks, lovely gifts, and even used books. Went in for a light bite and accidentally spent $40 on socks and such - totally worth it.

Yelp
We started our morning looking for some iced green tea and a matcha latte and our journey let us to The 3rd floor in Manhattan ave I'm so glad we skip the Lella Alimentari to try something different or we might have skipped this amazing little shop with killer teas and lattes. The barista literally made both of our teas the authentic Japanese way and the taste blows away the competitors. They also have a Japanese treats and nicknacks I definitely can't wait to get my next cup of Matcha!!

Yelp
Cute little place for onigiri and drinks! Which is hard to find in this area. There are also Japanese snacks that you can purchase.
