"4 Pines Brewing Company One of the pioneers of the Sydney craft beer scene, 4 Pines opened in 2008 in a space that overlooks the shores and famous Norfolk pine trees of Manly Beach—one of the city's dreamiest locations for a brewery. The upstairs brewpub serves the whole 4 Pines range of natural beers, which includes a hefeweizen, Kölsch, pale, amber, bitter, stout, IPA, and the Keller Door (a small-batch seasonal release that intends to challenge the beer industry). Order a tasting flight to determine your favorite. The brewery also offers a full menu of not-so-typical pub grub and operates a downstairs bunker for more innovative food and drink pairings. Live music, DJs, and comedians regularly lighten the mood, if the salty sea breezes aen’t enough."

Took the wife and kids (11 and 13) here for the first time and absolutely loved it. At first, I wasn’t sure. Let’s be real, it’s not the prettiest place, and I was a bit skeptical. But then I reminded myself it’s a pub, not a fine dining spot. Once I got past that, we ordered a mix of dishes. The steak, burgers, and salads were spot on. Way better than a lot of high-end restaurants I’ve been to. Super impressed. Just keep in mind you’ll need to place your order at the bar. Prices were really reasonable for what you get, which was a nice surprise. Only downside was parking. Street parking is pretty limited, but there are Wilson and other local car parks nearby. At the time of writing this, we paid $20 for 4 hours, which wasn’t too bad. Overall, a solid experience, and we’ll definitely be back.

Been there for the first time. The place was cozy but atmosphere as really amazing. Its a small brewery but wonderful to have some chats with friends and drink. They have tasting beer and you can choose from different variants. And while they serve, they even let you the which one’s are the soft and hard with receipt of drinks simultaneously. The food runner ladies were very friendly. The view from the balcony is amazing, you can see the sunset. Overall my experience was wonderful. Might visit their very soon.

Service, food, beer all were great! Chicken Parma was cooked perfectly, fish and chips were fresh. Highly recommend.

The Angus cheese burger is cooked just right. The crumbled chicken is crispy and the sauce is not your ordinary catchup. The beer is fresh and fruity. The only complaint is the fires overcooked. Although it is close to the beach, there is no view. All blocked by the Manly Wharf.

Great beers, pretty crowded but understandably so. Toilets were immaculate (which is rare for pubs/brewerys!) friendly staff. Nice view on outside seating area. Would definitely go again.

I stopped in for a pint after getting off the ferry. Manly warf is almost across the street. I had a Hazy Pale Ale, which was great. I didn't have any food, but it was great to sit on the patio on a sunny day and enjoy a beer. Service was fast and friendly. I would definitely recommend it if you are in Manly.

What a top little spot. Had the best feed for lunch today. Fish and chips were the best I've ever had, fried tofu was so authentic and could of ordered a second bowl. Kids absolutely loved the burger and chips. Attention to detail and taste 10 out of 10 for food. Staff also amazing, have great suggestions on food and beer choices. The atmosphere was welcoming and the little tea lights on the table are a nice touch. Thank you, we really enjoyed the visit and we will be back very soon.

Relatively new to living in Manly. I knew about 4 Pines beforehand and had the beers but never went to the brewpub until my friend who was visiting, sniffed out the best value happy hour in the area. Been plenty of times since. Much nicer vibe than the 4 giant pubs that exist nearby! Good place, good core range of beers and some very nice limited releases to keep me coming back. I'm a fan of the little things they do for regulars (birthday voucher, discounts takeways), and the recent cheaper pints on Sunday with the dog in tow is a winner. Have to say the tunes that they play are usually bangin' too, for a mid 40s fella like me.
