Tried the new Sip ‘n Slice experience and it was amazing! For just $59, we enjoyed unlimited pizza, cocktails, and drinks — everything kept coming out fresh and delicious. The pizzas were incredible as always, and the cocktails were surprisingly good too. Staff were friendly and attentive throughout, and the overall vibe was really fun and relaxed. Highly recommend checking it out on the weekend — such a great way to spend an afternoon with friends!

I’m a visitor from Taiwan, and I honestly can’t think of any reason not to give you a five-star review! From the moment we walked in, we could feel the enthusiasm of the staff. Although the server explained the menu like he was rapping, we tried our best to keep up and understand 😂. The kitchen staff were not only professional but also incredibly friendly—when they saw us taking photos with our phones, they even brought the pizza into the frame! The process of serving the dishes was smooth and entertaining. As for the food, what can I say? The best pizza I’ve ever had in my life was right here! The other dishes were also unique and outstanding. Unfortunately, our time was limited, but when we visit Melbourne again, we will definitely come back for another feast!

Service was quick and friendly, the gnocchi was light and fluffy and the pizza was nice. Nothing special, tough to compete with a plethora of exceptional Italian restaurants in Melbourne. We were grateful to be seated straight away as walk ins on a busy Saturday night.

I visited this place for the first time due to its rave reviews, but unfortunately, the food didn't quite live up to my expectations. The taste was okay, but nothing remarkable. The service was friendly, and the waiting time was reasonable. However, the quality of the food seemed to be there, but the flavors didn't quite come together. For example, the pizza and the pasta lacked distinct flavor profile. Given the prices, I expected a more impressive taste experience, especially compared to similar cuisine elsewhere. Overall, our experience was decent but not as great as the reviews suggested, and the prices seemed a bit steep for what we got.

$18 Margherita pizza & $10 margaritas Monday deal @400gradi_au is the best one for all pizza lovers out there. And their classic Margherita pizzas are simply divine, just perfect in taste. I think theirs are the best I like in melbourne personally. You definitely gotta try this and what better way than their awesome Monday deal. Grab your beauties Nd make a date next Monday to say cheers over spicy margs and Margherita pizza @400gradi_au We also love the burrata absolutely fresh and delish, goes well with some bread, that anchovies and grilled zucchini was quite nice too. Beef rigatoni was so fantastic and comforting, a perfect dish to have on chilly winter nights in melbourne. Also don’t miss the meatballs they are incredible and yummy.

Been coming here for years, the pizzas are fantastic, stick with the pizzas and the pastas as that’s what they are known for. Dessert is also pretty good. If the cakes aren’t your thing, they have zero gradi next door for ice cream.

Google
Modern and attractive interior with a clean, stylish setup. Our server, a polite young girl, tried her best but had trouble communicating as English wasn’t her first language. She had to check with the manager, who unfortunately came across as rather cold and not as welcoming as we expected. The risotto was excellent, rich in flavour and perfectly cooked. The Tagliolini all Pescatore was tasty but the sauce was disappointingly not hot, which took away from the full enjoyment. We went into the Zero Gradi after our meal and, despite being open, there was no-one to serve us so we left!

Google
The food was okay, but the prices are really high and don’t really match the quality of the food. The ice cream cups were also really dirty, shouldn’t be given to new diners. The round mirrors before the women’s bathroom were missing and broken. Very strange for us as we love going to Gradi, first time in years that we found this kind of atmosphere. We went on Monday the 9th of June 2025, and it was a public holiday so an extra surcharge which we’re happy to pay, but the service needs to reflect what’s being paid.

Yelp
When I took the first bite out of the world record food I was speechless. The service there was so friendly And the place made it felt like Italy. The texture of the restaurant was unbelievable. The ricotta made my mouth water. You should definitely go to this place for a birthday an outing or a date. It's just the perfect restaurant.

Yelp
Wow loved this place. When I walked up I loved that they have both indoor and outdoor covered seating. The ambiance is really nice with an upscale feel. The host was very kinda and greeted me and they were very attentive throughout the night. 4 different staff members asked how I was doing and I'd needed anything, all very friendly. The food was delicious!! They have wide selection for food , starters, drinks etc , popular for their pastas and pizzas!! Definitely would come again !!!

Yelp
Was recommended this place by a guy I work with. From the minute you walk in it looks like a classy place. The staff were very polite and attentive throughout our arrival and meal. The food was great we had lunch here before heading into the city. I would've like to had more to eat but we were going out for dinner so didn't want to spoil it. The pizzas looked good and the dishes the other patrons were having were really appealing also. We had garlic focaccia and a carbonara and gnocchi both were delicious and even the coffee was good. It has a great atmosphere and the big wood fired Pizza oven and the cured meats hanging up give it a rustic Italian look. I'm already planning our next visit here when we return to Melbourne and look forward to a big meal with friends and family

Yelp
We came here at about 1:45 on Wednesday and were quickly served. It was during the lunch time menu but we opt to do the regular menu pizzas (14" vs 9"). The Margherita pizza has the distinction of being the worlds best pizza in 2014 so we had to try it. It was good. The dough was soft and the texture was between chewy and crispy. I'm not sure about the criteria to be the worlds best pizza but maybe I think there may be better pizza out there. The prosciutto pizza was also good. The meat went wel with the greens and again the dough was soft and the pizza was easily foldable. The service was great and our waitress was all smiles.

Yelp
So, the claim is that this is the home for the best pizza in the world. And yes, of course I wanted to check this out when I was in Melbs. In fact, I joined an amazing foodie group wanted to put this pizza to the taste test. We had to go with the world famous Margarita. But, we also wanted to try other style to get a good idea of what this pizza joint was all about. We settled with the Caserta. Now, I must note. This place seems to be very popular. It was very busy! So, maybe book a table ahead of arriving. The service was ok and reasonably fast considering how busy they were. Now down to what you all want to hear. How was this world best pizza? Well... it was pretty good. True Neapolitan style pizza with a thin middle and thicker border with little ingredients. So the crust is nice and chewy, but the middle is thin and full of toppings. The sauce was great, lovely flavour and brought the pizza ingredients into a happy marriage. My only strife with this pizza is that the inner part of the pizza is just a little too thin. Also, maybe the sauce could have been spread out just a little further to stop the "bowl" effect. Where all the ingredients cook and slide into the middle to produce a bowl of cheesy toppings. It also makes the middle of the pizza soggy. But, the flavour is all there! I know that there are some strict guidelines when it comes to making Neapolitan style pizza. Almost to the point of exact measurements of crust and thickness. The type of flour is also strict "00". In saying that, I think that this style of pizza is like the hardest to get right. They almost have it. But, not quite yet.

Yelp
Is this the best pizza I've ever had? No. Is it really damn good pizza? Yes. This is a very popular spot with indoor and outdoor seating. We arrived at 7:15pm on a Thursday night without a reservation, and in less than 50 minutes we were seated, ordered, and had pizza on the table. This is impressive considering the place was full, with several large parties of 8 or more. The staff is friendly & helpful, though a little on the pushy side... everything felt like it came with an up-sell (though it was easy enough to decline). We ordered the Diavola pizza (like a margharita but with spicy sausage and rocket) and then a Margherita, which is their award-winning recipe. I requested rocket be added to it, and they were happy to do it and didn't charge us - classy! The table next to us ordered pasta which smelled so heavenly I almost had regret... until the pizza showed up. Though I felt like half the pizza was ever so slightly overcooked (I like my crust white & beige, not brown), the flavour was fantastic. Everything from the tomato sauce to the cheese to the dough was fresh and flavorful. The interior was lovely and they have a great wine selection and a full bar. Pay at the front once you get the bill. If you love pizza, this is definitely worth a visit. Just plan for a little wait or book ahead.

Yelp
Been here on 2 separate occasions The first for a dinner and the second to grab a takeaway gelato My first impression of this restaurant is fabulous service. Everyone was friendly and professional and slick. The bar next door has a lovely vibe and the outdoor seating is just inviting and wonderful. The pizza were delicious but expensive! I haven't been back for dinner as I am slightly apprehensive about spending that much. This is probably the main reason that I won't be back here very often, Pizza is generally not an expensive meal in Italy so why does it cost so much here? Then again, this place is always always busy and clearly there are lots of diners who are happy to pay the price. The vibe of this place can easily be a cool relaxed weekend and weekday dinner. But on a higher end of the budget range and just slightly outside of my relaxed weekday dinner budget.

Yelp
Lygon Street, Brunswick East is a cool part of town. Seriously, it is and I'm not saying that because it's my neck of the woods and I love it but it really is. There's plenty going on here - cool bars, nice restaurants, cafes and bakeries. So, it's no surprise that it's home to 400 Gradi. I drive past this joint everyday and it's packed to the rafters every night. It's that popular that I've had people at work and at the gym asking me if I've eaten there. Well, we finally did it a few weeks ago and it was a great experience. I'm pretty sure almost all the staff there are from Italy, judging by their accent and this adds to the authenticity of the whole experience. They are a good looking bunch as well. My cousin was drooling over the waiters and the waitresses... Yep, not bad, not bad at all! We ordered 4 pizzas to share and they were all delicious - thin and light base, fresh ingredients and lots of flavour. The residents of Napoli would be proud! The decor is vibrant and modern whilst also having a bit of a homely atmosphere. The staff are really nice too and they kept checking on us to make sure we were happy with everything without overdoing it. The Frutti Di Mare is a fan favourite but I personally really liked the Toscana. It's always busy so make sure you call at least a week ahead to book a table.

Yelp
I'll come straight out and say it - best pizza in all of Brunswick. I don't normally like choosing 'best ofs' because things aren't usually so cut and dry, but in this case, it's easy peasy. This is the best pizza around, and the only let down for me is that they don't deliver. I like a thin pizza base and they make them perfectly thin at 400. The tomato sauce is so fresh and tomatoey with a delicate balance of herbs. You can taste the quality in the toppings and they're layered on with a light hand, someone who really understands how to build a flavoursome yet delicate pizza. I've also tried a pasta here that I can't speak quite as highly of. It was perfectly good, but the star of the show is clearly the pizzas. I don't reckon I'll ever order anything else here, and I don't think I'll be ordering pizza anywhere else but here.

Yelp
Was driving to get an early Japanese dinner and happened to park across the road from here so had a quick change of mind and pizza it was. And so glad we did it! I knew the award winner was the margherita, but we felt like something a little more substantial so got the Frutti Di mare (seafood) pizza and beef carpaccio instead. The beef was beautiful, and so was the pizza, so halfway through we ordered the margherita as well (not because we were hungry, purely out of wanting to taste it after everything else being so delish), and even more "so glad we did its" came from our mouths. From the thin, yet still soft base, to the tomato and buffalo mozzarella.... Can see why it won best pizza IN THE WORLD! I'm drooling thinking about it now... May have to grab one for lunch today! Fun Fact - there's also a location @ Crown, and soon to be Essendon (yay for closer to home & work!)

Yelp
That's it. 400grandi has ruined all other pizza for me. I spent all day dreaming of the perfect crust. I had already ordered and reordered in my head during the day in anticipation of this 'world class pizza'. Well I am so pleased to confirm that this truly was the best pizza I have ever eaten. One hot salami, one prosciutto, one pumpkin and cheese and one mighty food comma later and I am one satisfied little gal. The staff were attentive, even in a crowded restaurant they made is feel like the only ones in the room- coming back and checking to ensure out 400grandi experience was flawless. You are looking to spend around $20 a pizza + drinks which is a small price to pay for that total feeling of excitement and contentment you will get when you look down at your plate, lock eyes with your friend..and dig in. Bravo 400grandi. I'll be seeing you every week for the rest of my life if I could.

Yelp
Been coming here on and off for a year. The pizza is always really good and the service excellent. It's bigger than it looks so we've always been able to get a table without a booking. There's outdoor seating which in part is wonderfully smoke free. At about $25 per pizza it's about average for a fancy pizza place. There is other food than pizza of course.

Yelp
It's a very popular spot. It's classy. Neapolitan style pizza with a thin middle and thicker border with little ingredient. Their tomato sauce needs to be spread out more. It's very popular and also busy. It's thin in the middle. There is this bowl effect with the toppings in the middle of the pizza. Always wanted to visit the most livable cities in the world to see what it was like. Pizza is my favorite food.

Yelp
Not sure what's gone wrong here, possibly the expansion has stretched staff. My last visit just wasn't as great as I remember. Staff were frantic, however; the waiter was great even though she was very busy. We sat down and ordered, prosciutto to start... not bad but not spectacular, we ordered two pizzas and were halfway through when we were asked to move a few seats down to accommodate a larger crowd... generally not a big deal but this time no one showed up to use it... was eventually given to another group. The reason for the 3 stars, pizza. Usually killer at Gradi, this time; not so great. Took 30 mins and came out warm (not hot), crust was more chewy than crisp. It tasted like it was sitting for a while before it was delivered to the table. Hopefully, this was just a once off on an off day.

Yelp
If you're looking for an award winning, mouth watering, jaw dropping traditional pizza, you have to try 400 Gradi. This little guy is call zingara and is complete with Johnny Di Francesco's famous base, San Marzaro tomatoes, Fior Di late and hot hot salami!! This spectacular combination is absolutely to die for, and i think I've fallen in love!

Yelp
Im really torn with this restaurant because it had the WORST SERVICE EVER but the pizza is amazing! We waited 15 minutes for the waitress to show up after we were seated. I actually got up and said something to the hostess to get attention. Mind you this was a 5:15 and the restaurant was not busy. We waited the. Waited for our food for over an hour. During our wait we actually watched three tables get up and leave due to no service at all. During our wait I got up and went to the waitress stand to get us water, glasses, cutlery, and napkins. Absolutely absurd! At times like these I wish there was tipping in this country! For the record, I am a self proclaimed pizza connoisseur so I felt compelled to try this pizza I had heard so much about. If this was another type of food I would have definitely walked out. Luckily after we had been there about 40 minutes we received a new waitress. I asked if she could check on our food. It turns out the crappy first waitress forgot to put in our order! I understand wanting to hire Italians to keep the authentic ambiance, however, I do not understand keeping someone who is clearly loosing the restaurant money. Hopefully the owner woke up and smelled the pizza and the lazy Italian has been replaced by someone with a little more gusto. If the terrible service was remedied this place would definitely get 5 stars.

Yelp
Great environment, service and location. Pizza was good but a little burnt. Can't say it was the best Margherita in the world but still pretty good!

Yelp
I didn't know there were so many good pizza places in Melbourne and this definitely was one of them. The restaurant has great and quick service, the pizza is delicious. Would definitely go back to this place!

Yelp
Not surprise by the queue just to get a table in this place, their Margarita pizza is sublime, so is the cost. No wonder they won best Pizza maker of the World with it; you can watch and see those goodness being made in Wood-fired Oven through a glass window. A licensed establisment which forbid you to BYO your favourite wines. Although parking is horrible, Gradi 400 is a fantastic venue with that Italian "la dolce vita" ambiance, kitchen staff are so much fun to watch while making their pizzas. This place is totally different from its sister venue Crown Hotel, this one is worth a visit and horrible queues.

Yelp
Great cheese and cure meat selections ; a must for appetizer. The pizzas are just to die for; my favourite is the classic margherita. Great to dine in for lunch or dinner.

Yelp
400 Gradi is the original location of Jhonny di Francessco's the world award winning margherita pizza (2014). I have previously written a blog post for Gradi Crown and honestly I think they are great. I was invited down to 400 Gradi to taste their brand new event called Wednesday Aperitivo on their launching week. nice platter of appetisers

Yelp
Service was very good pizza was ridiculously overpriced given it was soggy in the middle. Ingredients were very good. I have eaten here before and thought the pasta was ok but again overpriced. If I eat here again I will go for something more substantial such as veal etc
google avatar

Yelp
The pizza was truly delicious. They are generous with their delicious toppings, and the San Marzano tomato sauce is super yummy. But the space feels alienating, with stark cement walls and millions of tables that set close together. It would be a lovely date spot if not for the feeling that the restaurant is trying to churn you out. We ate the following: Caserta pizza: piled high with freshly sliced prosciutto and rocket, this is a very well made pizza. Salsiccia e friarelli: the sausage!!! It's amazing! And they don't skimp on it, like a load of other pizza places in town. I loved this pizza so much that I wanted to keep my husband from eating any of it. The dough on both of these was a bit lacking in flavor. They could let it develop a bit longer. But it's cooked quite nicely and their toppings are the best we've found so far. Overall, this place is definitely worth a visit!

Peter S.

Yelp
What a disappointment. The margarita pizza I had actually did a lot of the basics right: a thin base with springy crust, not too much cheese, okay quality. So, perfectly edible. It was just rather dry (the result of being zapped by a 400 degree oven?) and didn't really taste of anything. What a shame, considering how incredible neapolitan margaritas can taste with the right degree of quality ingredients. It is in my view about getting the basics right rather than turning the oven temperature up to 11. Elsewhere, the service, atmosphere and interior were all perfectly decent. But given the glut pizzerias on Lygon Road, 400 gradi has to be judged on the pizza, and sadly it could/should be a lot better.

Yelp
Though there is a large al fresco area, I would recommend that you get seated inside to enjoy the classic and decadent ambience of 400 Gardi. While the seating areas are done tastefully in hues of black and antique gold, the bar area is all vintage wood with rows upon rows of great wines and drinks and a glass salumi cabinet. Going through the menu, the first thing I noticed was the prices. It is an expensive place to eat especially if you are going as a family or paying for a large group. But there's quality to match the prices which was a solace. For drinks, my husband chose a Peroni while I went for a glass of 2012 Mocandunda Riesling. While I may not know how to speak in the wine language, I can definitely say that this was one of the best wines I have tasted in a long time. I love Rieslings and this one was sweet, citrusy and zesty.....totally refreshing and highly recommended. We started off the meal with Polpette al sugo (Italian style beef meatballs cooked in Napoli sauce served with toasted bread). I have eaten and prepared so many different types of meatballs in my lifetime but none as delicious as this. Melt in the mouth meatballs with an equally delicious Napoli sauce. It was delicious..... The next dish we ordered was Fiori di zucca (Stuffed zucchini flowers with fresh buffalo ricotta, spanner crab and chilli). Oh my! I just didn't want the dish to end.....wish I had a deep wallet to go on eating these. Beautifully fried zucchini flowers with the creamy insides. In yum heaven! And of course, you cannot dine at 400 Gradi and not eat pizza. For someone who is much more acclimatized to eating pizzas from the fast food chains, real Italian pizzas can be a revelation. There are very few ingredients as toppings unlike the former which comes loaded with toppings. We ordered the Salsiccia e friarielli (with mozzarella, sausages and friarielli). Many of the dishes were explained using Italian terms on the menu so if you are not familiar with the language, it is best to ask the staff who are very helpful. When the pizza arrived at the table, we were thinking of how the taste would be since there were just 3 ingredients including the cheese. But the quality of the ingredients is so good that you begin to savor each individual ingredient. The taste of the mozzarella and the sausages was so delish; a different pizza eating experience for me. Overall, an amazing experience. The staff was wonderful and attentive, the food arrived on time and we had nothing to complain. Eating at 400 Gradi is a costly affair so a bit of planning might do you good especially if you want to sample many dishes or go in a large group.

Yelp
Suppose to be the winner for one of the best pizza in the world. It is a popular place and gets pretty packed. But it's only after trying it out of curiosity I can see why. The pizza base is perfect. I have not tried many pizza with a base that amazing; crispy yet nicely chewy and a perfect consistency. The last time I was there I got magherita verace (includes tomato, air freighted fresh from caserta mozerella) for $20 and frutti de mare (includes mussels and prawns) $25. I give it 4.5 stars out of 5. Pros: my favourite out of the two is the magherita. It was so nice. The quality of the pizza is high. The sauce, cheese and herbs came together nicely to create a enjoyable pizza eating experience. The frutti de mare is nice too and I'm usually a fan of marinara pizza, so I enjoyed it. The pizzas were nicely presented and looked pretty. It looked like a rustic home made traditional Italian pizza. The rocket salad on the frutti de mare pizza made it look so appetising. The service was pretty good and the guys were quite cordial. Cons: pretty minor. The pizza size, I thought was kind of small and the frutti de mare didn't have as much prawn or mussel on it as I would like. I could easily give it 5 stars if they were a bit more generous with the mussels and prawn. Overall it is gourmet pizza that is about quality not so much quantity. The serving size is enough to satisfy. It's not a place to stuff your face with so much pizza that you can barely walk. If your a person with a big appetite you might walk out still hungry and unsatisfied. Its a good place for the pizza connoisseur.

Yelp
After weeks of trying to get a reservation (if you want to get in on a weekend be sure to call two weeks in advance), I finally booked a table for two on a Tuesday evening. The place was surprisingly packed at that time and despite that it took a while for them to seat us, the service afterward was very attentive and fast. My partner and I were both starving but the time to order and receive our food and wine was very prompt. I have to say, I really had doubts about this place and all the hype. However, to my surprise the pizza was absolutely delicious. Possibly the best or second best pizza I have had in my life - the competition is Grimaldi's Pizza in Brooklyn, NY but that was a long time ago and it's hard to really remember. For the delicious pizza combined with the good service, I give this place a well-deserved 5 stars.

Yelp
Pizza is best in the world --- I put that to the test!! I know there is a great deal of hype surrounding 400 Gradi at the moment and deservedly so! The pizza passed the test and was absolutely to die for. I also grabbed an appetizer order of their meatballs and wow....the sauce served with those puppies was fresh, nicely seasoned with just the right amount of sweetness. The only issue I have with the restaurant is they are losing opportunities by allowing their phone exclusively revert to an answering machine - the mailbox fills up and no one checks it...unfortunate for them. Additionally, the first time we went to the establishment, we ended up grabbing takeout - no problem here, except the hostess told us it would take over an hour to get our food. I doubted this and went in and ordered it anyway. We were out in 20 minutes. Next time you are in the mood for some amazing Italian fare on lygon, if you are ready to brave the crowds, this is the place for you!

Yelp
"Italian-style pizza?" I hear you say... "is there any other type??" Yes there is! New York-style; Chicago deep dish-style; fast food chain-style; supermarket frozen pizza. But this pizza is just like the ones I've eaten in Italy. While toppings obviously count, the key to truly great pizza is the base. It should be light and airy with just the right amount of crisp-chew ratio. I like a little scorched puff on the edges, and I like to eat all my crusts! I had the 'Guancia' with San Marzano tomato, fior di latte, pancetta, mushrooms, olives ($20). Toppings were tasty and the base was how it should be (see above). The wine list is cleverly set out with some excellent choices and fair prices. My only dislike on the drinks list is (as usual) the beer list. While it's better than some, the selection of nine is all lager except for two safe-but-good local ales; White Rabbit Dark and Mountain Goat Hightail. There are so many amazing Italian craft beers available in Melbourne at the moment, so it really shouldn't be overlooked. Great pizza pairs perfectly with 'birra artigianale'! Looking forward to visiting again.

Yelp
Before visiting 400 Gradi, I had never been to this part of Lygon St and had no clue that it was such a hipster spot. I really liked 400 Gradi. I started with the margareta pizza which suprisingly for a pizza restaurant was the lowest point of the meal. The chef had the L'Associazione Verace Pizza Napoletana certification which means he was trained in Naples and is one of the few in the world with the correct qualifications to make this style of pizza authentically. I've been to Naples and tried many of the best pizza spots there and saw how balanced and delicious the sauce was, how fresh the ingredients were and how perfect the crust was. 400 Gradi hit all of these marks EXCEPT for the balance in the sauce. Most of the pizza was way over-salted while a bit of it had no salt whatsoever. While the rest of the pizza was good, it was hard to overlook that. I also had the porcini mushroom risotto which was absolutely ddelicious - one I'd go back for in a second. However it was so rich, I couldn't finish the massive portion that they gave me. My husband had the crab pasta (which had an entire crab in it) and was giddy with delight. The clientele there were almost exclusively Italians and with all the Itialian being spoken around us, it really transported both of us back to Naples.

Yelp
has just replaced DOC pizza as my #1 pizza choice in Melb. And DOC has really hot waiters so that's saying something. Amazing pizza cooked at 400 degrees (hence the name) for 90 seconds. My Italian pizza expert friend informs me authentic pizza should come in 1 size (13 inches) and be able to be folded 4 times, with less than 5 toppings and no chicken or capsicum in site. Ticks all boxes. Zingara pizza with spicy salami is a killer.

Yelp
Been coming here regularly and it never disappoints, best time to come is lunch time as dinner gets busy and requires a reservation. Pizza at this place is superb and the dough is very rich. Pasta is really good aswell and so are muscles but pizzas are definitely the star. Go for a plain margarita which is light or if on the heavy side take a prosciutto pizza. They have also opened a winebar next door which is nice and more casual and has some interesting dishes like beef capacio which is good. One downside or upside depends on the which way you look at it is the selection of wines and beers. Majority of the wines are Italian and so are the beers there are very few local Australian wines. On the bright side the wine prices per bottle are reasonable. If you like pizza is would also recommend doc pizza bar in Carlton which has pizzas on the lighter side and is byo.

Yelp
This is bar far the best pizza I've had in Melbourne to date. The meal from start to finish was exquisite and had the most amazing service which was the cherry on top of the cake. Gorgeous wine and cocktails as well which is always a plus. I am still annoyed that I didn't leave room for a dessert. Next time for sure.

Yelp
This is their second pizza place, at the Crown, on the river front. The place is huge and must seat 100 to 200 people. Unfortunately this was a great disappointment. The chef that won the award must not be working in this restaurant. The pizzas were OK, nothing wrong with them but nothing special either ... neither the quality of the ingredients, the crust or the place were out of the ordinary. There are better italian pizzerias in Melbourne (+39 or Ombra for example) ... don't bother with this one, no flare.

Yelp
Absolutely best pizza restaurant in Melbourne! Also, the service is good, and atmosphere is good. My recommendation is Fungi for appetiser and seafood pizza as a main. For a desert, chocolate fondant with vanilla ice cream will be a good choice if you are sweet lover. Better to make a reservation or you would have to wait more than a hour in the line!!

Yelp
Beautiful food (although pricey for pizza) but TERRIBLE service. I had to get up and approach the waiters (three different people) every single time I needed anything (water, clean cutlery, extra plate, and missing salad). They were all ignorant of eye contact or body language and didn't stay at the table long enough to hear any requests. Their good food is certainly undermined by their poor service.

Yelp
Apparently, this place received an award for the best pizza in the world for their Margherita. Tried that, as well as the sausage and spinach pizza on a white base. Margherita was good, granted, but best in the world? Hmmm. Sausage pizza was the wrong choice. It had an over-powering preserved lemon taste and the spinach chard (not broccolini as the waiter translated) dominated and the sausage wasn't strong enough to balance. Reasonably priced and wait staff were good. Would try somewhere else next time.

Yelp
The food hasn't even arrived yet but the ice is incredible! Great texture, nice temperature, thoroughly frozen. Crispy, crunchy, cold: very n-ice. ICE ICE BABY

Yelp
I'm giving this a 1 star because of expectations. We expected the acclaimed "best pizza in Melbourne" and wasn't even close to that. I've had pizza by the slice which were better. We were also lied to about table availability

Yelp
I am by no means pizza expert but someone claimed that Gradi on Lygon street had # 1 margarita pizza in the world, so we had no choice but to try it. And I'm glad we did. We tried the margarita and ortolana pizza and they were both great. They definitely know how to manage their dough here. The service was also good (and fast, too!) Noise level was a little high in the area we were seated.

Yelp
Great pizzas. Have enjoyed a lot with my family and friends. My son likes it a lot. Will go there often.

Yelp
Ordered pizzas from here via Uber Eats. The pizzas were quite nice but quite cool by the time they arrived. Me thinks they load the poor delivery guys up too much. Ok if you're fine about reaheating.

Yelp
Best pizza in the world... I'm not so sure. But it's still damn good pizza. The crust, the foundation to a good pizza, was chewy but crispy on the ends. Definitely a home run, and who can go wrong with four melted cheeses... Very attentive wait staff and all around pleasant atmosphere.

Yelp
The pizza here certainly deserves the international acclaim! And the wine list is fantastic.

Yelp
Yum! The pizza is so yummy and the staff are very friendly. I 100% recommend this place, such a shame I live in Sydney and can't come more often :(

Yelp
I can see why it's so busy. Started with some antipasti, the cured meats are so tasty. Spaghettini with spanner crab for main, a bit of work to get the meat out but worth it. Then we spotted the desserts!! Nutella calzone, even the small is massive (plenty to share between 2). Friendly staff with fabulous accents
