Walked by this place and decided to get take out. Ordered drunken noodles with beef and fresh shrimp rolls. Went to the QFC nearby to shop while the food is being prepared. When I returned 20min later, the food was already ready. Both dishes were as expected, good but not the best I've had. The fresh rolls came with peanut sauce which was great with the roll, but I felt it wasn't enough for 2 rolls. Drunken noodle had good flavors. I ordered spice level 2, but I could barely taste it. Would recommend going higher if you like spicy food. Overall, I would return if I'm in the area and craving Thai food.

We really wanted to love this one, but the service on the day we came was just not good and I'm sorry to say but the food didn't make up for it. I'm not sure why but service was so slow; I saw employees organizing wine glasses in the bar instead of tending to tables, so we kept having to flag them down not only to take our order but also at the end to get our check AND to remind them about the table next to us since they forgot about them too. We ordered the rad nar which I really did enjoy, but the pad kee mao and pad see iew were just very average, and the egg flavor in one of them was really unbearable for me to eat (mind you I was the non veg eater of our group). Additionally, we had noted for a to go order to be taken at the end, but in the midst of all the waiting time we spent just to pay the bill, they didn't end up giving it to us and we forgot about it since we had other plans to get to for the night. We called them later and did get it sorted out but I was not happy about how things went that night.

The pad Thai was delicious. Everything tasted fresh and perfectly cooked. The portions size was pretty decent. I couldn't finish the whole thing. The crab Rangoon was pretty good as well. Service seemed a bit slow but the ambiance was intimate and relaxing.

Review is for takeout! Food is absolutely delicious! Service was quick and friendly. My husband and I placed an online order for pick up. We got their special fried pumpkin which perfectly crispy and paired with a tasty sweet chili sauce. The shrimp pad Thai and beef Penang curry level 2 spice and both were delicious and very flavorful! Portions are generous and reasonable for the price! 10/10 would recommend and come back again to try their other items!

The food was pretty good. The service was a little delayed because of the show, but we were still able to eat and get there in a very timely manner. The ambiance was cozy and it's in the first floor of a remodeled house it looks like. Definitely a solid spot for dinner before the show.

The food is fantastic! By far, the best tasting Thai food I've had in Seattle. For good reason, they get really busy on nights where there are shows or sporting events at or near the Seattle Center. It's rarely too long a delay, and the food is well worth waiting for... whether dining in or ordering takeout. When I'm hungry for Thai food, this has been the place I've taken family, friends, or just myself to for 20+ years. Located on Roy Street, they have parking in the back for customers and the old-style house restaurant is a nice atmosphere.

Ordered online for pickup -- chicken satay and green curry with fresh tofu. The green curry was spicy (good) but otherwise very bland and thin; it tasted mostly like watered down coconut milk, was off-white and had very little green curry flavor or other depth in flavor. The chicken satay was good, but I don't know if was worth $16. The green curry was also expensive ($22), and I've had much better green curry for half the price. I am generally happy to pay more for food that is really good, but overall I don't think the quality of the meal warranted the price tag (especially considering the lack of flavor in the green curry). There are several other Thai places within a few square blocks; next time I'm in the area I'll probably try those instead.

We came for dinner on a Friday around 5pm. We didn't wait but shortly after we were seated, the restaurant became very busy. We ordered pad thai with prawns, pumpkin curry, and mango sticky rice. Pad thai: the prawns were actually small sized shrimp and there were about 6 shrimps in the dish. We ordered level 2 spiciness as I cannot handle spicy. The first bite was a bit sweet but later came the spice. I loved it! The flavor was addicting. Pumpkin curry: the curry didn't come with rice so we ordered 2 sides of brown rice ($3 each). The pumpkin was thick and yummy. There were plenty of veggies in the dish. I tasted a lot of coconut milk than I liked but overall was good. Mango sticky rice: the sweet/sourness of the mango accompanied the sweetness of coconut milk well. Only complaint was I finished too fast! Service was great as they kept coming to refill water and asked if we needed anything. When I asked for spoons for the curry, the server also brought out extra bowls for us to share. What a lovely gesture! Interior had various items from Thailand and was overall clean. I'd come back!

Place is really clean, service was pretty fast. My dish was great; I like Thai a lot and eat it frequently so this place is up there on the rating scale in terms of taste. I got the Pad See Ew. The broccoli was cooked just right, they were generous with the portion, the food was a HOT when it came out (yay!), and the beef was tender & flavorful. Really good. They also didn't push us out, so the vibe was nice & relaxed.

Good food in a nice space! This is the oldest Thai restaurant in Seattle, and they make that clear from the sign outside haha. We had a large group and made a reservation ahead of time, but didn't really need it since it wasn't too busy inside. I tried the black rice pudding dessert which was pretty good - the black rice was well cooked, and the sweet coconut milk complemented it well. I did think it was a little too salty though. I also tried some of the pad see ew and drunken noodles, both of which were pretty good. This spot has all your classic Thai dishes, and do them pretty well but nothing too outstanding. It is also quite a lot pricier than some other spots. Nonetheless, service was very nice and friendly, and we had a good experience!

Solid spot for some Thai food, especially if you're looking for spice. They have a great dining area with a front patio and the ambience is good I got the Pad Thai and you can choose the heat level from 1-5. I usually go with 3, which is the perfect spice level for me. If you want even spicier and can handle it, go higher. Be warned, however, the spice is definitely for real! The Pad Thai is also on the sweeter side here, but it was still a tasty serving. The portions are also fantastic and can last more than one meal.

Most delicious thai food in Seattle lower Queen Ann area. Our work team walked over for lunch. We were delighted by lunch specials. Started with fresh spring rolls with shrimp and vegetarian version. It was tasty and the peanut sauce was perfect. Of course for me, I added additional spicy sauce :) Lunch of the lunch specials were served with pad thai and a pot stickers. Portions are big for lunch menu and most of us had to take the remainder in a to go box. Server Tony is super friendly and very accommodating. Ambience is clean with patio seating outside. If you're in this neck of the woods, hope you get to go and enjoy Thai Cuisine. Bon appetite!

We had come here 1x before and remembered it being the highlight of our trip. It was again some of the best food we've had in Seattle after living here for the last 5 years. We had basil fried rice, pad thai, drunken noodles and fresh rolls....every single bite was delicious. The staff was very friendly to us and our baby which memorable as well. Everyone we encountered was so so friendly. I can recommend highly enough.

I visited Bahn Thai recently to try out their lunch special and had a pretty good experience overall. The Good: - The lunch combo option was a filling option for under $20 (I believe exact pricing was $17.50 and you get pad thai noodles [amazing flavor], rice, and one chicken gyoza [which was alright]). - The ambience was nice and well-decorated. I personally would have appreciated some calm music in the background, but that's just me nitpicking. - The noodles were a highlight! - Our server was kind and attentive. The Not-As-Good: - The thai tea was flavorful but incredibly sweet--almost too sweet for my taste--and it was nearly $7! I feel that's a bit high for what you get. - I'm a *huge* fan of thai curries, and these ones fell a bit flat to me (I tried both the red and panag). The consistency was quite thin and the flavor just wasn't as strong/great as I would have liked it to be. - The prices were quite high for what you get imo--I've had lunch specials in NYC that were cheaper and more flavorful, but that may just be my personal experience. Overall, I wasn't wholly in love with this spot, but if you're craving thai and want to check out a solid lunch special, try this one out (highly recommend the pad thai noodles!!).

I love coming to this Thai restaurant for lunch. Not only is the customer service always amazing, but the food is delicious, authentic, good portions and very affordable. The inside has beautiful Thai decor. I always get Thai tea here. They are so very kind to substitute the milk with coconut milk for me. Sean has been our waiter and he is so friendly, kind and very attentive. He's the best. I've tried the red, Panang Curry the seafood dish, and the Pad See Ew. They were all delicious. You can select the level of spice. The lunch curry comes with an extra side of pad Thai on top of you rice which is so great because I always want pad Thai but also want to try something else. Parking is limited but available in the back of the restaurant in the small alley way! Overall, amazing customer service, delicious Thai food good parking and distance to the Space Needle.,

It's decent food. Nothing so good that I'll claim it to be the best Thai food or anything but it's decent. I ordered pad see ew because I was with a larger group that are not used to share food. I wish the pad see ew doesn't stick together but that it's hard for most restaurants to do so because it requires the proper fire. The blanket prawn appetizer is pretty good, not too cheesy and freshly fried. I think the service is up to par and the waiter is courteous. The place is big enough for a larger group and the restrooms actually smell good. Overall it a decent place for your regular Thai food.

Decided to head over after seeing it was one of the closest options around where I'm staying in. From the outside, it looks movie-like (old building, cute stairs and sign). Once I went in, I realized that the restaurant is meant for in-person dining, as they're doing the full-on glassware, decor, music, candle-like setting, etc., so it felt like I had done the right choice by not ordering online. I was received by one of the waiters (no host/hostess on-site) with an "are you picking up?" question rather than a "Hi", "Welcome", or "Do you have a reservation?", which I found a bit odd given the initial impression of an upscale experience. I brushed it off and asked for a table for one. Got seated looking towards the wall and against the staff (brushed that off as well), and started looking at the menu. Spent around 10 minutes waiting for anyone to acknowledge me and take my order (having to do a 180 every couple of minutes) until a very kind waitress noted and asked if I had been taken care of. From then, the service got better immediately (kudos to her). I ordered the chicken panang curry and realized that rice should be ordered separately, so I did. The latter was cooked perfectly but the curry itself was extremely sweet, which I didn't expect. I hadn't gone with the Pad-Thai given other reviews I had previously read of it being too sweet, but I guess it's their signature style here. I successfully consumed about half of it and got tired of the lack of balance between the flavors. The sweetness overtook the plate. At the end, I was very glad I ordered that beer. It may be a comfortable spot for Thai food amateurs but I'd choose a different location if going for authentic flavors.

Food was good but creepy dude popped out the back and just stared at me until I signed my receipt made me feel very uncomfortable. Not sure if he thought I was gonna pay or stick the place up. I'm only giving 4 stars because the sweet and sour chicken was prepared fast and was pretty good.

This place has large portion sizes and well priced meals. Their staff is friendly. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for some phadthai

I wanted to take a moment to leave a review for the wonderful dining experience my family and I had at this restaurant. The food was delicious, but what really made our evening was the exceptional service we received from Diane. Diane was incredibly playful and courteous, especially with my daughter who was celebrating her birthday. She went above and beyond to make our daughter feel special, she even brought a surprise drink for her. It was such a sweet and thoughtful gesture that we will never forget. Not only was Diane attentive to our daughter's needs, but she also made my wife and me feel at home. Her kindness and hospitality truly made our experience unforgettable. The food was expertly prepared and presented beautifully, and we enjoyed every bite. We appreciated the attention to detail that went into each dish. Overall, our experience at this restaurant was outstanding, and we owe a large part of that to the exceptional service provided by Diane. I would highly recommend this gem to anyone looking for a delicious meal and an unforgettable experience. Oh and by the way, their spicy rating of 5 star is truly 5 stars, just wanted to call that out.

Ordered via DoorDash, but the pad Thai was delicious! We ordered hot, but it could've been hotter (more of a mild in my opinion). The flavor was very delicious and the serving size was more than enough for two people. We also ordered the chicken satay and that was great all on its own!

Great food and service. Enjoyed our pad Thai and sweet and sour pork (which was stir-fried, not deep-fried for a nice change). Ordered two dishes to share among two adults and two kids. Would have liked to have tried more but too many big meals left us wanting to be able to finish our food and we DID. If local though, I could see us ordering lots for leftovers. Table near us had a big family dinner and looked like they shared well. Quiet spot so good for families or even date night.

We tend to order the same 6ish dishes when eating Thai food and this time was no different, we were hungry and a little tired so we wanted a comfort meal before calling it a night. I called before because the Apple Maps listing looked a little funky and they confirmed they're open and gave me tips on where to park. The restaurant was beautifully decorated, right on theme, and the food was so delicious! That Tom Kar made it to my top 10. I'll be coming back again whenever I'm back in Seattle.

Overall it was an ok Thai place. I judge Thai restaurants by their green curry. This one was just ok. I've had better. One of the most disappointing part of the meal was the water. I just had water and it was not good. I would recommend they get a filtering system for their water.

Bahn Thai is more than the oldest Thai restaurant in Seattle; it's the best Thai restaurant in Seattle! Food is consistently delicious and service is excellent, whether ordering take out or dining in.

I've had better pad Thai elsewhere. Theirs is too overly sweet and not enough savory. I can't attest to other dishes but I feel that pad thai is a staple and if a Thai restaurant messes up this dish I'm not too confident in their other dishes. Service is also painfully slow here. We pratctuialy waited 10 minutes for everything (a box, a check, someone to take our order, etc).

I have loved this place for about 35 years! It's one of the first Thai restaurants I went to and it is still delicious! I recently returned after several years and it is still delicious! Also they are beyond nice!

Ordered take out from here for the first time. Gotta say... wasn't impressed. I ordered cashew chicken which arrived in a tiny container, was over cooked, and didn't include rice. The cream cheese wontons were also cold and soggy. These two items totaled $50. Thankfully DoorDash refunded me and I ordered elsewhere. Wouldn't recommend this place whatsoever.

Recommended on a list from our hotel. Didn't disappoint! Extensive menu, but we stuck to dishes we're familiar with. Pad Thai with shrimp (ordered 'mild' but was still slightly spicy), deep fried spring rolls (ok, but underwhelming) and the dinner special- crisp sautéed garlicky green beans with shrimp (very tasty & delicious- done perfectly!). This is a big claim, but we agreed, the Pad Thai was probably the best we ever had. Traditional mango sticky rice for dessert, which my dining mates enjoyed, personally would have liked more dessert choices. Interesting art pieces decorated throughout the entire restaurant. Was a somewhat full dining room, so it was slightly loud. Very nice and friendly service. Prices, usual~ but portions moderate. No leftovers between 3 people. Very satisfying dinner.

I just love Bahn Thai. I'm a creature of habit and love getting the Pad Thai because I know it'll be delicious. We got it to go but it was ready when it said it would be. Super friendly staff!

The best Thai spot in Seattle! It's a great dinner spot if you're checking out an event at Seattle center. I really like the basil chopped chicken and chicken noodle. It's got a great vibe for a date or fancy dinner. Wonderful spot for take out too.

It's ok. Their recipe tastes sour vinegary. People work here are not necessarily friendly. Love the building. Always cold in winter inside.

We haven't been back to Bahn Thai for a few years. We went back tonight and had a splendid meal. It was a birthday celebration so we splurged a bit and ordered chicken satay, grilled beef salad, yellow curry with chicken, and the special panang salmon filet. Everything was delicious, and in particular the salmon was a generous portion and cooked to perfection. We have enough leftovers for both of us to have a full dinner tomorrow night at home. Spice level runs a little to the hot side. I often like four stars, but on the advice of the waiter I went for 3 stars for the beef salad and the salmon, and that was just right. Definitely spicy, but not to the level of breaking out in a sweat. My spouse has a milder palate and found two stars to be a bit spicier than she is used to, but not overwhelming. Service was responsive and polite. We'll definitely come out here again.

The nicest Thai restaurant I've ever been to. Fancier than most. The ginger stirfry will bring me back again and again and I live 40 minutes outside of Seattle I dislike pad Thai at most Thai restaurants, but the pad Thai here is decadent and very well-made. Peanut sauce with the fresh rolls on point and not too sweet and they get the heat right on their star ratings.

TLDR: Great food, pad Thai portions are massive, get rice with every order, and order take-out since it's on paper and plastic for dine-in. We stopped by with some friends and the place lived up to the good recommendations. The waiter warned us about spice levels, but we were quite happy with our 3 and 4 star options in addition to our two mild selections. The portion of pad Thai was like 2x anything else easy though, so that's a really filling meal if you need one. The best dish of the night however was the basil with chopped chicken stir fry. That stuff was crazy good, and is enough to keep us coming back. Pad Thai and pork cashew nut stir-fry were good, Garlic butter prawns were okay. The only really disappointment was eating on a paper plate with the food served in plastic cups. Definitely good food, 4.5* really, but I can't round up when served on a paper plate. Totally go, just don't be awed by the service that's still ramping up after Covid. Great for takeout!

I ordered basil fried rice to-go and it was fabulous!! The heat level is spot on - I am a lover of the spice; the hotter the better! The folks at the front were so friendly when I came in. This place is a must if you're in downtown Seattle!

DELICIOUS!!! After visiting the space needle my family of four was hungry. Searching for nearby food I came across Bahn Thai - which is the same name as a restaurant in our home town in Orinda California. We thought it was a good sign. We arrived and were greeted pleasantly. We opted for an indoor table. Service was very friendly and professional. The food was incredible! It was fresh and delicious. A great value. I would return to Seattle just to eat here. The highlight for me was their amazing pumpkin curry. But all the dishes we ate were stellar.

Really big portions, food was flavorful, the peanut sauce with the salad was really good!

I'm always on the hunt for the best pad Thai in Seattle and this place hits the spot. I did take out after a long ski day and was very happy with it.

I liked this restaurant. We went before a concert so it was pretty busy. We had the gyoza for an appetizer, jungle curry, ginger chicken and noodles. Everything was really tasty, I'd stop here again sometime.

OK I'll give it five stars and I've only been there once. But a friend of mine and I walked in and I just ordered the daily special. It was garlic shrimp on green beans, and the sauce was fantastic. The waiters were great. The food came out in a reasonable amount of time. Will I go back? Oh absolutely. So far it's the best Thai food. I've had in Seattle. I want to be careful not say it's the best Thai food in Seattle. But it's the best of the Thai food places that I have been to.

Oh my we are visiting from San Diego and asked a lady walking by our hotel where to eat and she quickly pointed to this restaurant. Alvin was our waiter and he was excellent. He also made us the best long island iced teas we have had yet. The food was fantastic. Sean brought us a beautiful mango pudding dessert and was a delight to talk to. Both are an assets to this restaurant. I highly recommend you try this place soon.

Nice dining place, we enjoyed sitting outside. We ordered 2 dishes;cashew beef and broccoli. Taste so-so. Overall, they are a little bit salty..we waited for around 30 mins to have our food served. Highly recommend the cocktail, Mai Tai ( forgot exact name), it is really sweet and tasty.

The food was fantastic! We got beef pad tai and beef friend rice. The portions were great as we split those 2 plates among 3 of us! The pad tai was sweet and delicious. The rice had delicious vegetables and the beef was very good. The server was helpful and nice and always came to refill our waters. It was a pleasant and delicious experience!

5 stars for the portions 4 stars for the flavor 3 stars for the staff These portions are huge which was a pleasant surprise for the area. Decent price as well Peanut sauce for my salad rolls was a little thick and seemed like it was made a few days ago, good flavor but strange consistency, was kind of jelly like. Noodles were good, not great but the portion was huge. I ate until I will full and still my left overs barely fit in the to go box! Would go back again when in the area for work but would try other dishes I see people order that looked better.
