Fun part of a Joburg one day layover. Bought some wine, linen goods and funky old prints. Great lunch too. Recommended as part of a gallery, zoo, shipping experience.

Very Cape Town/Europe vibe, I love the quant cafes and the artsy design. Surely everyone needs to go here!

Lovely little corner, I love the look and feel, it feels like you are not in Jozi which is amazing. There’s a variety of eating spaces and boutiques, parking can be an issue during peak hours, but either than that it’s a great place.

Amazing place. Hadn't been there for a while. It has gotten even greater. Nice, high-quality shopping for gifts also for yourself. For tourists: high end quality and wide variety of produce.

First time for me to experience this little urban marvel. I loved the vibe and authenticity it offers, with all those diverse establishments. It is a spot that is worth more visits in the future.

Amazing space for the Creatives, thoroughly enjoyed my visit to Artwave and am looking forward to going back to try out Salvatore Cafe.

Nice complex of warehouses converted into shops, cafes and galleries. Probably nice on a weekend, we went there on a Monday and there was no electricity and felt a little dead. Coffee shops are really nice.

As a self-confessed shopping hater, I should actually hate this "urban" center in Johannesburg. But: surprise! Contrary to expectations, the overpriced boutiques and special restaurants in the former industrial hall did not drive me crazy. Sure, the hipster density is high and the prices are more reminiscent of Zurich. But the architecture is interesting and the seemingly harmless part of town allows you to sip overpriced organic lemonade without fear. Perfect for spending money on things you don't need, surrounded by people who look like you. Don't forget your sunglasses, the shine of uniqueness is blinding!
