Had the chance to drop into my favorite art shop and got a fabulous portrait and also a contemporary sculptural piece of art! Love both! This place has the best art . She finds great vintage! This is one of my all time favorite places to shop. I love mostly her art.... she has several artists who are either fantastic or just the kind of art I like. Lots of black and white abstracts. I got 3 that were mid size with kinda vintage frames.... really amazing! Her prices are fair..... not cheap but I think fair. Service is good. It’s kinda hard to get good art bc it goes fast but I follow on Instagram too. Thank you 45 Three! 🎨🎟🎶❤️

This place is my go to place for art. The owner has assisted me with my Air B&B /helping me curate the living room and one of the guest rooms. I.found her on Instagram and she was so helpful shooting me photos and dimensions when I shared my budget with her. I got a vintage painting by artist Phil North and several large contemporary abstracts. So glad I found this hidden trove of treasures....pricing on the larger pieces were moderate.

Hello, I have left a lot of furniture and art to sell at this store. I bought most of it from this shop. After reaching out to Staci asking if anything was sold - I was told she has nothing to tell me and stopped responding to my messages. My friends went to the store numerous times - it is always closed/ I can’t reach Staci nor via phone calls/ messages / nor via social media. I am now worried something has happened to her and would like to get my belongings back. If anyone has any information about the owner or this store - I kindly ask you to please reach out to me, as I find myself in this very tricky situation. Stopped into this little shop on Fairfax in LA and found the perfect wooden chair. It was an old juror chair that was made in the 1950's or 60's, They don't make stuff like this anymore! cool little store

First of all, I almost never write reviews, but Staci is one of the special people you come across that you just need to tell everyone about. I stumbled across 45 Three on instagram and I am not just obsessed with the art, pieces and style but also her and her love for her clients, her work and her family. Staci is real and human first. Her business is not about just making a sale it's about making clients happy and finding happy homes for pieces that she loves. I have been wanting to fill my apartment with art for ages, but found it incredibly intimidating to take the leap into buying art, never mind how expensive it was. Staci helped me to buy my first piece of original art and I have now purchased 7 pieces from her about a year later. (not all original but 4 out of 7 original). All at prices that weren't terrifying or breaking my bank account. Her taste is impeccable, her honesty in styling to say no instead of just make a sale and her genuine connection with her clients is one of a kind. Working with Staci feels more like a friend helping me than a store owner I am buying from. She even helps me with the styling post purchase and ideas for my spaces. If there wasn't a global pandemic, I am pretty sure that I would have already flown from NY to LA just to visit her store and give her a hug! She has become a friend to me and we have shared personal life stories and experiences. On more than one occasion I have actually teared up with happiness from our chats. I highly recommend working with Staci whether you are an experienced stylist or someone who is trying to elevate from posters on your walls to a more sophisticated style. You will not regret it!!

I purchased three paintings from Staci Cain through Instagram on March 29th, 2024. After looking at her reviews I felt mostly confident to send her payment via Venmo. I received one painting after repeated emails asking where my purchases were a month later. After three DM’s inquiring about the other two paintings, purchased for $950, Staci insisted they were sent but refused to send any tracking. This was over two months ago. She repeatedly lied and said they were sent out and then stopped responding. I have contacted the authorities and am taking next steps with BBB. I caution anyone in doing business with this person. I am still out $1000 and two paintings…

We happened to walk into this store while browsing shops on Fairfax and it was a visit we’d never forget. This store is amazing! I love the atmosphere, the art work, the unique pieces of furniture was just great. There is no store like it. It’s a must visit especially for people who love art and one of a kind pieces. The store owner is just lovely. She was of the friendliest store owners I had ever met. She’s intelligent, pleasant and so delightful to talk to! I definitely recommend a stop in for this store!

The store and its owner Stacy are amazing. Super unique vintage items amazing art it's really hidden gem in LA. The pieces are arranged in a way that only the few, who know, get it. And that works just fine. Modern trends, color schemes, mixed with mid- century simplistic design never disappoints when I come in.

Just love this place! Bought another small lamp online from 45 Modern. I appreciate the care they take in finding pieces. This is the 5th item I've purchased! its nice to have a small boutique shop located in Little Ethiopia. When she is open... a great place to stop it!

I was buying a cake across the street gor my friends birthday party and I saw this vintage / art shop across the street. There was a gorgeous large abstract in the window. I needed new art for my Air B&B. Went in and was able to pick up 3 pieces for our new place. Owner was helpful and shared a lot of options. Love the art it this shop and it was more affordable than I was expecting. Good place for art

I was looking for a place to find great art but I got so tired looking at art that looked like everyone else's. I found 3 great pieces at this shop. i found her online on Instagram. I went to the shop to see one piece it ended up purchasing these 3 pieces. 2 contemporary and one large vintage piece. Great help making my selections

BUYER BEWARE!! The owner Staci Cain is unreliable and has stolen $950 from me. I purchased two paintings from the store via Instagram. I venmo'd her $950 for two paintings and she never sent them. she stopped responding and blocked me from her social accounts when I tried to recover my money OR get the paintings. I have reported her to the Better Business Bureau where I learned she's been reported numerous times. Seriously caution from purchasing anything from her. I will update this review once the issue has been settled.

The owner of this shop sold me a floor lamp that didn't have any wiring, and didn't tell me until I brought it to her attention. She then said she'd recommend me to a lighting repair shop to have it fixed, and that I got a good deal on the lamp, even though it doesn't function. She never ended up recommending the shop, so I asked for a refund. I brought the lamp back, and it's now been nearly 2 weeks, and she still refuses to return my money. She'll accept a Venmo payment instantly, but for whatever reason has been dragging out this return for nearly 2 weeks, even though I've followed up almost daily. I would not trust buying something from here unless you really know what to look out for. She may sell you a broken/non functioning item and try to play it off like it's normal. And then you may never get your money back.

I was able to stop inside my favorite place for art and I got a little vintage abstract painting. It was small like 14 x 16. I immediately had to have it for my gallery wall in the guest room. I love the service I get from this place e and the fact that she opened for me even though they are selling primarily online during Covid. AlwYs a good spot

I'm one for small, independent shops, as I would be truly disheartened if I only had large, redundant retailers to pick through. However, maintaining accountability can be challenging for small shop owners and this is where customers begin to "cross over". Overall, I quite like this shop and the range of pieces- but I'm not feeling great about my recent transaction. I went in looking for some decorative pieces for my home on a Saturday afternoon and found a nice arced lamp for over my dining table. I was scoping out the piece with Staci (the shop owner), and I expressed my apprehension that the arc wasn't wide enough to hover over my dining table. Staci reassured me that the lamp "totally extends and that you just have to unscrew it". Took it home, unscrewed it, and turns out it doesn't extend. I let Staci know that she mis-informed me, hoping she would present a reasonable solution for her mistake, but instead was told that she would be doing a favor by giving me store credit since it's her store policy and that she doesn't really remember telling me that it unscrewed (after she walked me through where she thought it unscrewed?). Whatever. Overall, left a bad taste in my mouth and undermines the value of other small shops who know a thing or two about how to operate with accountability.

Everything in 45 Three Modern Vintage is special. Owner Staci Cain is gifted in her eye for design and style. I am always in awe of how reasonable her prices are. She is one stop shopping- I had gorgeous curtains for my closets made and look forward to ordering more custom items. Staci is truly a joy to work with and always budget conscious. A visit to 45 Three Modern Vintage is a must for any Angeleno who loves chic/vintage/retro/elegant home goods. A paradise in many ways, this store is not to be missed!

This is by far my favorite place to shop for home furnishings in LA. Not only is the selection cool, funky, and ecclectic--the people who work there are so genuinely nice and fun to work with. Staci, the owner, is always very sweet and helpful. She is also really good at finding great vintage pieces that will help to make your home truely unique and stylish.

Fantastic store!!! Staci is wonderful!! It was my bday and I always take the day off to eat, shop & explore in LA. Well....I cruised into this lovely place & immediately fell in love with some beautiful vintage turquoise chalices...had to have them!!! Then I spied a mint condition vintage leopard notched collar to go EVERYTHING this Fall!!! Scooped that up too!! I like to include my sisters/friends in my bday escapades so I asked Staci ( the owner) if she could take some pics to send them & we basically had a impromptu photo shoot! What a doll!!! I really enjoyed gabbing with Staci and will be back to see what other gems she finds for her happy lil' store. CASA O cocktail ( just like I promised Staci!) rocks glass w/ ice Stoli vanilla vodka fresh tangerine juice Amarena Fabbri wild cherries in juice ( Williams-Sonoma) *make sure to drizzle ( liberally)cherry juice over vodka/tangerine juice add 3 cherries on a cocktail skewer VOILA!!!!

The first time I stopped in this place my friend and I had so much fun looking around. There is no pressure to "buy stuff or get out." Instead, it's inviting. You end up talking about one piece forever before deciding you might want it. Everything is set up in the cutest designs and you get lots of decorating ideas just by browsing. At the time I was under the assumption that I wouldn't be able to afford anything as the usual fare around these waters up the West LA/Fairfax river is super duper over priced. Not the case at 45 Three Modern Vintage Home. I purchased the most beautiful, unique, delicately painted Italian wire wall sconces for just under 100.00 dollars. They look like bunches of dried flowers and were irresistible to me. Now they're mine mine MINE!!! I saw GREAT pieces of furniture 300-700 bucks, there were also many items in the 20-40.00 dollar range which would normally be two or three times the price just a few streets over. Each item in the store is something you're not likely to have seen before, or maybe one of your grandparents had it...or your great grandparents left it... etc.. If you like entertaining, you might get lucky and find some pretty glasses or really interesting serving tray doubling as a conversation piece. I can't recommend this place enough to people who like to collect interesting furniture, paintings, lamps, frames. I had the pleasure of meeting the owner and a couple of her staff who are so gracious. Can't wait for me next find over there.

First off, this store is for only those who truly get it. I walk in there and find 100 things that I love every time and I start redecorating my entire house to fit my fab finds. Staci is a design junkie and will always find the most unique pieces that truly define eclectic decor. Thank you thank you for all my treasures!!!!

I kind of don't want to tell you how amazing this place is, but... 45 Three is my absolute favorite places to shop for vintage furniture (and, trust me, I've hit them all). Staci has an amazing eye, her store is constantly changing, beautifully eclectic, and well laid out. The prices are fair and her sales are great (not to mention fun. They kinda feel like parties, actually). The best thing about the store, what you won't find anywhere else, is Staci herself. She truly loves what she does and LOVES her customers. She could not be more helpful and amazing. I've been on so many quests over the years-- for the perfect lamp shade, the right desk, art for my wall...and Staci has offered advice, looked at pictures, kept her eyes open for me...etc. all with such expertise, humor, and enthusiasm. She's one of a kind. I've bought many gorgeous and cool things from her and will continue to come back.

We've been stopping by this little store for the past couple of years and have bought a few items in the past. Generally speaking, there are some really nice items here and the owner clearly has a great eye for design. If money is no barrier, you'll definitely find this place a treasure trove, but some items are overpriced. For bargains - albeit hit and miss ones - head over the road to the NCJW.

I've been avoiding writing a review for this place for a while because, quite frankly, I'm selfish and didn't want to spill the beans on what I thought was my best kept secret. But the secret is clearly out, so I might as well chime in and share some thoughts... 45 Three is well-priced compared to most other shops I frequent, and the ware is wonderfully varied. Lots of brightly upholstered furniture, funky light fixtures, oil-painted portraits... If you're into a boho-eclectic vibe, this is the place for you.

This place has a wide selection of great finds. I've been three times and now and each time I go I find something hidden away that I didn't see the first or second time I visited. I recently purchased three things: 1. a gorgeous pitcher and glass set for only $65! It has three gold stripes going around and is the cutest vintage find! 2. a BIG gold filigree ring with a large orange stone, again only $60. Looks like something that you could find at anthropologie for easily $100+ 3. a brass purse hook with a crown at the top. It's royal, it's chic, it's perfect. I hung it on my wall as I enter my apartment to drop my purse/coat/keys/etc on The owner of the shop is so friendly and loves to discuss estate sales and her travels among finding these treasures. I will definitely be returning!!

I stopped in here one day when they were setting up for a sale. They were closed but let me in anyway. I had a blast with Staci and her Mum. They were incredibly helpful and sweet and I bought some crazy eclectic art for my apt. I could have bought half the store. They had great furniture and art. They wrapped my art in a Mexican blanket so that it wouldn't get trashed on the ride back to SF. Now that's what I call service! I can't wait to go back... Colette

Staci is fantastic! Her store is ah-mazing!! Our girls wanted visit Little Ethiopia for their birthday and we were walking down Fairfax and happened to see her store. We were glad we stopped by. The things she finds are absolutely beautiful! Staci was a pleasure to talk to! Her vision and story about her store touched our hearts. The atmosphere in this store is so pleasant. We we live a bit far but hope to be back!

Buyer BEWARE! It's easy to be lured in by the beautiful things in the window, but doing business with the owner is a nightmare. I'd rather go to the flea markets myself. Don't ever let Staci the owner do your upholstery-EVER. Her prices are unimaginable and inconsistent. And she does the bait and switch...she quotes you one price then at the end; when the chairs are finished its a completely different price. Also, she is never around and will not get back to you if you call/come in to discuss changes. The only time you will hear from her is when the chairs are done and she wants her money. I was so disappointed with a pair of chairs I got reupholstered and after expressing my displeasure she said "sue me". I was appalled, after spending over $1000; how could any business owner say something like that to a paying customer? I usually don't right reviews, but I want the consumer to know what they are getting into. This woman has no business running a business if her first priority aren't her customers.

I wish I could give an actual review. I was truly looking forward to coming here based on their Instagram. However I have given up after trying to visit several times during their posted business hours.

45 Three is a hidden treasure in LA...I say hidden b/c I try not to tell tooooo many people about it b/c I love it so much! I'll make this very clear: 1. The store is eclectic, beautifully displayed, and reasonably priced with a really great bargain here and there if you know your stuff. 2. I love Staci's aesthetic and what she picks out...she is also very good about helping you flesh out your idea even from just speaking with her. I have shown her pics on my iphone or just told her what i'm thinking and she has told me to buy or not to buy. Very honest. 3. STACI. Staci is the SWEETEST, most helpful, genuine, down to earth, kind person. It is not a pretentious experience in the least bit. I have been in there several times where I stay for an hour and don't buy anything and I still get a hug on the way out. This store is the BEST!!!

I love this store. She has great stuff but she is open so sporadically that I'm almost ready to give up on the place. I work so much that I can't go during the week so I've gone down there on a Saturday during business hours and not around lunch time on three separate occasions and it is always closed. So call first!

Treasures!!! Each time I visit 45 Three I am excited to see what Staci has found. I could literally spend hours hanging out in there- just taking it all in. There is so much to see and I always leave wishing I could stay longer. As many reviewers have already said, she has a great eye and a way of putting pieces together in a delightful way. Staci is great to work with. Her upholsterer recently did a beautiful jobs sprucing up my dining room chairs. They look amazing and the price was right. This is the kind of store that makes you wish you had extra rooms or homes to furnish.

I discovered this store a few years ago while starting my own design business... and lucky for me... it's down the street! It is full of one-of-a-kind vintage finds, each and every item is special, and the environment begs for you to come in and stay a while. In fact... this is one of my favorite experiences with the store... it feels like a place you can hang out and really take everything in without pressure. There is no attitude. It feels like home (a very chic and eclectic home!). Staci, the owner, is lovely and warm, and makes sure to update you with sales and bargains. She also offers upholstery and refinishing services, so this can really be a one-stop shop for redecorating needs. I have recommended this store to all of my friends (after I kept it my little secret... for just a little bit ;)

45 three modern vintage is as charming as its owner, staci cain. the small vintage store is carefully curated to reflect the eclectic and vintage aesthetic that staci clearly loves. expect to see mid century with hollywood regency with french with italian, etc. more of a home store than anything else, you can find everything from art for your walls to a vintage chesterfield to lounge on. old books are piled in corners and gorgeous cut glass decanters glitter on bar carts. once in awhile something more industrial like an old metal floor fan will pop up to keep things interesting. the only downside is prices can be pretty steep here. my advice? subscribe to their email list and take advantage of one of the blowout sales that staci likes to have on whim. the sales are super fun and there are some deals to be had if you can beat the rush. even if you don't have the $$$ to drop on furniture or unique accessories/artwork, 45 three modern is a great place to browse and be inspired.

Staci has great finds. My only qualm is that her store isn't closer to my house :( otherwise I would be there every weekend.

I'm a painter. One day I called Staci to check in and asked about a large painting of mine that she had hanging in her store. She told me that she'd sold it six months ago, but that she couldn't pay me because she'd already spent the money. It's been six years and I'm still waiting for my full payment. I've been into the store at least a dozen times over the years requesting payment and she usually tells me that she has no money. A couple of times she has written me a small check, but I am still owed over a third of the full payment. Staci has made no attempt to reach out to me to work out a payment plan, although I've asked a number of times. I don't usually write reviews, but I do want artists to know that if Staci sells your work, you will likely not get paid or it will take a very long time. I know of at least one other artist who has waited five years and after posting a one-star review recently received payment and agreed to remove their review.

We found many great items here but, sadly, have been completely ignored in our many attempts to pick up our purchases made months ago. I honestly am shocked at the stores lack of response and respect for paying clients.

i dont really want to give this place a bad review or a good review. just a funny story. walked in with my wife and a friend to take a look around. had some great vintage furniture but what really caught my eye was a framed lichtenstein print, "sunrise". of course anyone who knows lichtenstien knows he had maybe a good 15-20 variations of sunrise and sunrays, but this was the print in question: http://www.sothebys.com/en/auctions/ecatalogue/2014/contemporary-art-day-sale-n09142/lot.223.html so i thought it was a nice little print in a nice little frame, it was parked on an arm chair in the front of the store. i carefully picked it up to show my wife and said what a nice poster print this was. i was greeted by the store proprietor who seemed nice at first and was raving about the piece. She asked me if i thought it was wonderful and in my honesty i said "ive seen better" (it was great but it wasnt even his best version of sunsets yet alone in comparison to his complete works) and the conversation took a nasty turn for the worst, She grabbed the poster from my hand and set it on another arm chair (far away from my grubby reaches) and proceeded to mutter something under her breath along the lines of me not having any knowledge as to who this artist is. it was certainly fun. I estimated the fake poster and frame to be roughly $120. I asked out of curiosity how much the work costs, and as she was walking back to her office away from us she revealed it cost $480. Bewildered by this OVERPRICED price tag, i mockingly asked if it was an original (the original prints cost roughly $300-$400k), and from some back office she admitted it was. so here we are, wondering if she was even gonna come back in an awkward moment of silence, wondering if she meant $480 or $480K, so i apologized as to not hurt her feelings and she didnt respond. she was gone, like keyser soze. we left the store and all i could say is, man, This is NOT ikea. Tips for store proprietor: a)just because your customer looks dumb, doesnt mean they are dumb. b) if you have an original lichtenstien print, please hang it on the wall in a nice gallery and not an arm chair for people like me to get their dirty hands all over them. c) be a nice store proprietor and dont leave your customer who perhaps would have bought that poster if you were there to make the exchange.

I will never shop here again. I got a total run around on pricing for chairs then was extremely misled on the price of reupholstering them. The chairs we wound up buying cost double what they were supposed to because of the evasiveness of the owner. Not to mention the quality was not nearly up to our standards. When we voiced our concerns the owner said "I don't know what to tell you". The ordeal we had with her went on for over two months because of her not returning our calls, emails and encouragement for us to sue her!! This woman is a terrible businessperson and the store itself is filthy. I don't see what the hype is about and have encouraged everyone I know to steer clear. My advice, if you're going to buy anything special order, get it ALL in writing from the owner. And PAY WITH A CREDIT CARD vs. cash so you can stop payment any time they try and overcharge or take advantage of you. I would have given it 0 stars but Yelp forces you to give at least one in order to post a review.

Conflicted about how to describe my experience. But, here goes. When you ask for prices on items not marked, it's a definitive moment where a seller and buyer can bond or split hairs. Let's face it, it all comes down to money regardless. Needles to say, was quoted $280 for a coffee table. After inspecting the table further, there were flaws and significant damage that led to inquire once more about the price; my obvious attempt to negotiate a fair price and was told "$300." Mind you, this is the owner who quoted the price(s), Staci Cain. Mark ups on vintage items are normal, but this is RIDICULOUS if not insulting. Integrity comes to mind, first impressions also. On the way out, did ask about the price of an afghan throw (redemption?). Nice color, seemed to be in good condition, price.... $80. There was a Goodwill tag still attached to the throw marked $8 and change. Not interested in coming here again. Seems like a fleecing, do the leg work yourself to save money and save face.

I just bought a very corny framed sign for my wife for xmas that reads - 'and they lived happily ever after'. Yup, I got married last year, and we're still goofy. Anyway, this place 45-3 Modern Furniture has some very cool stuff. It is in the heart of Little Ethiopia, just south of Olympic next to a couple of thrift stores. The stuff is really great - mid-century furniture (an amazing pale blue nine foot couch in mint condition as you walk in on the left, sixties Italian lamps, a deer's head. Weird stuff, very eclectic - and the prices are quite reasonable, verging on cheap. There are some great fifties credenzas in good shape, as well as some awesome contemporary art. I highly recommend.
