I liked it better before the remodel.
This was our third stay at this hotel. Most recently, we spent 3 nights here in late December 2025. We were assigned to a room that had been recently remodeled.
The Good:
Nice wallpaper, carpeting, and tile. New and attractive.
Room has a Keurig machine for coffee, and there is ample supplies of coffee pods, creamer, and sugar next to the coffee maker. But, a few crucial drawbacks...see negative comments below.
Many electrical outlets in the room, and they are strategically located for convenience. And, they all work!
Room also has a microwave and small refrigerator; both work fine and are nice conveniences.
Bedding is clean and comfortable.
Bathroom is new and clean. Towels are new and plush.
Front desk staff were very pleasant and attentive.
The room is spacious. It holds a king bed, the furniture described below, and two bicycles we brought. All this and there was still lots of room to maneuver.
The room is absolutely beautiful to look at, but it is inconvenient and uncomfortable to stay in.
The bad:
There are two chairs in the room. Both are terribly uncomfortable. One is a wicker chair with a straight back. The other is a 50's style straight back chair with scant vinyl padding on the seat and back. Neither chair is a place where a human being can sit for any length of time. Too uncomfortable to lounge in these chairs.
A circular table is provided, which is a nice size for eating or playing a game. But, the table base is a solid four-sided pyramid, which leaves no room for your feet or legs beneath the table. Nice to look at, but nearly impossible to actually use. Not a place to sit and read a book or iPad.
There are two scantily padded bench seats are in the room. Both are perfect for using briefly for putting on shoes, etc. But, the benches are straight backed. Impossible to sit on comfortably for any length of time. They remind me of a bench in a 1940's bus station or train station, or a prison electric chair. Not designed to comfort the human body.
The Keurig machine does not work. It's a nice touch to provide ample coffee, cream, sugar, etc, but with no ability to actually make coffee, it is a fail. Plus, there are no stir sticks or spoon. But, since one cannot actually make coffee, a stir stick is kind of pointless, I guess. (Housekeeping staff did get our machine working for the second day; some kind of reset was needed.)
There is a drop down light between the bench and table. It is at the perfect height to bang my head on. So far four times on the first day. One more time on the third day. I must be a slow learner. Or, the placement of this light is just super inconvenient.
There is no dresser. It is a hotel room with no place to put your clothes! Stupid design. The closet has 5 hangers, total, and two are taken up for the provided hotel robes. This leaves only 3 hangers for two people! WTH? Do they think that no one ever brings a change of clothes? One of my primary expectations of a hotel room is that I'll be able to unpack my suitcase and have a place to store and hang my clothes. Not here. Living out of my suit case is not a luxury in my book.
It is a nice place. But, the new remodel was a disappointment to me. They have put too much emphasis on the designer looks and appearance and not enough emphasis on the things customers need for a comfortable stay.
