Dined here as a party of 11 for a celebration and our experience was great! The food was delicious, the service was exceptional and the seating was very well accommodating for our large party. Thank you for not only making our dining experience a lovely one but also going above and beyond.

Highly recommend this place right in West Orange NJ. This was the best Birthday dinner with my son. The staff are so friendly and accommodating! The food was fresh and delicious and we had a great time. The ambiance is so authentic and pretty!

This was my first time trying 460 in West Orange, and the food was surprisingly excellent. They offer a three-course lunch special for $20. I ordered the lentil soup, baba ghanoush, and lamb shish- each dish was delicious and cooked perfectly. The dessert was also beautifully presented. I highly recommend it.

We were here for dinner on a Saturday night. It was crowded, so a reservation is recommended. We ordered the pink lady dip, the fried calamari, and the mixed platter (not pictured). The food was delicious, but a bit overpriced (the mixed platter, specifically). I've had similar Mediterranean fare for much less, though not in this area, so perhaps you're paying for the access to this cuisine as well as the quality. At first, the serving staff seemed a bit terse and unfriendly, but they seemed to warm up by the end. Note: if you pay by card, you'll be upcharged 3%.

This was a nice surprise! We discovered it out of the blue and ended up at 460 Bistro. Beautiful decor and pleasant servers. We ordered from Lunch menu that included a soup, an appetizer and main course. Lived my lentil soup, pink appetizer and chicken shish. Will go again and highly recommend.

I recently celebrated my birthday with a luncheon at 460 Bistro and had a truly wonderful experience. The food was delicious, the service was attentive, and the atmosphere was warm and inviting. An authentic Turkish dining experience! The arugula walnut salad was exquisite and the chicken shawarma was cooked to perfection and the service was really great! I highly recommend trying this place out especially if you want a Mediterranean fix at a reasonable price!

I've been here a few times over the years. Starting with a place to get food to my dad who had issues with traveling and then just for myself and Lovey when we were in town. It's a lovely restaurant and the owners are friendly and happy to chat. Seeing as I grew up in this town, it was kind of weird to see such a great Middle Eastern place take hold - back in the day it was Chinese or Italian and that's IT. We've tried a fairly extensive range of their offerings, appetizers to entrees, and they're uniformly well made and well presented. Lots of parking in the lot in back and other than the longish walk around the block to get to the front door, nothing to criticize about access.

We came with another family and essentially had the entire outside dining area to ourselves. It was nice and peaceful and well lit. Food was pretty tasty (not over the top, but as expected) and waiters were attentive.

Great experience and delicious food at one of the best Mediterranean restaurants in New Jersey! Service was friendly and responsive, although it was late afternoon so pretty empty inside. I'm sure it can get pretty busy during regular dinner hours. I usually have an aversion to lamb since it can be pretty gamey but the server convinced me that the Monti had only such a small amount that it would not really be noticeable. He was right, although the dumplings had probably too much dough for my taste. I would have preferred bigger dumplings with more ingredients inside rather than these tiny portions, but it was nonetheless tasty because of the sauce. The sautéed seafood platter was very good in a tomato base which wasn't too strong and just right. Very nice generous mixture of different seafood, including calamari, shrimp, and scallops. I'm not much of a bread eater, but the pita offering at the beginning was a nice touch although not very tasty even with the olive oil. The highlight for me was certainly the grilled octopus appetizer. Grilled just perfectly where it was not too chewy and with ample amounts. This was probably the best grilled octopus appetizer that I've ever had! My only issue with the restaurant was it's on a busy corner with very limited street parking. There is a parking lot in the rear, but it's reserved for other retail establishments and not this restaurant. I'm not sure if they would actually tow the vehicle but it's still a risk to find parking. Definitely will be coming back to try other menu options, but certainly will have the grilled octopus again!

The food and service was very good. My husband who is a bit picky enjoyed the food. We had the appetizer platter with hummus, babaganoush. The ambience was cozy and comfortable.

After dining at this restaurant three times for lunch, I have been consistently impressed. The culinary offerings are delightful and the portions are generous. The service is superb and the decor is lovely. I am eager to experience dinner here! 460 Bistro in West Orange is a top recommendation!

We stopped in on a whim last night. I called to see what the wait would be for 2 people, we were given seats at the bar which was fine with us but the hostess could not have been more accommodating to make sure we we seated at a table. The drinks were good. We ordered tzatziki (delicious), pita, falafel (amazing) and the grill sampler to share. The chicken was some of the tastiest and juiciest chicken I have ever had. The rice was perfect and seasoned phenomenally. I don't usually eat/ like lamb but these were perfect. The meatballs in the sampler were also quite good. We did not have dessert. The wait staff were all attentive (without hovering) and the hostess checks in on all tables. Overall a great dining experience in a warm and welcoming atmosphere.

The red pepper and beet dips were very good as were the pita. The lamb kebabs had some flavor but were inconsistently cooked. The fish dishes were excellent. The popular desert was okay, and very unique. Service was very good and a coffeehouse covers relaxed and yet trendy ambiance.

Finally stopped in for brunch. Very friendly staff and nicely renovated, very clean. We started with the trio of Baba Ghanoush, Tzatziki and Hummus. All delicious and served with excellent hot puffy pitas. We both had the Lamb Shish, cooked perfectly served with veg, potatoes and rice pilaf. Very filling and tasty. Staff checked in on us as did the chef. We will definitely be back!

The food is exactly what you want from Mediterranean cuisine! Fresh, and burying with flavors. Came in on Saturday to find that they have prizes fixed menu for lunch! I will definitely be back and bringing friends. The Greek salad is a must! I had the grilled branzino which came with a small salad and rice. It was superb!

I love this place an incredible food.So delicious. I especially love all of the servers.And the owners, they're the nicest people.You have to visit. And by the way, special place to have a birthday, they bring out the flaming towers with fruit

I enjoyed a nice dinner at 460 Bistro with my husband last weekend. This was our first time here after countless times saying to each other that we needed to try this place out. The inside of this corner restaurant is way more spacious than it appears from outside. We both commented on how we liked the decor of the place and liked the light fixtures. We were seated at a cozy booth by the host. All the staff at 460 Bistro were friendly. Food was very good. Pita bread was bought to our table, warm and soft. I ordered adana kebab and my husband ordered falafel. He loved his entree, saying that the hummus with his falafel was delicious. The vegetables with my kebab were fresh and tasty, and the rice was perfectly cooked. We rounded off our meal with an espresso and Turkish tea. Overall a wonderful dining experience. Recommended!

What a pleasant surprise this place was! I'd passed by it oodles of times but finally got the chance to go in recently. It was not what I expected-- it was so much better! The interior is nicely decorated but not overdone. It's a very welcoming atmosphere and is fancy-ish (in a good way) comparative to its locations and the typical quick bite eateries in the surrounding area. I only had time/appetite for a quick bite, so I ordered the lentil soup and kibbeh-- both cooked to perfection. While it didn't need it, I did splash some lemon in the soup (comes with a slice) and omg, it totally opened up the taste. They serve it with Turkish pita bread, which was perfectly warm and soft! The kibbeh was delicious, NOT too heavy, not at all oily- as many places can tend to be- just really balanced and scrumptious. The surprise winner of the meal was the perrrrrfect lebneh on which the kibbeh comes served. Perfectly balanced in taste and brightly lemony. For someone who usually doesn't eat dairy, I'm sure I coulda fooled folks :) This is a family-owned business and, let me tell you, you are treated so well! The staff were so sweet and attentive. They were so hospitable and you could just tell that the every dish there is (Warning: corny alert ‼) cooked with love. (Yeah, I said it.) This is one of those places where you look for a reason to go back (not like you need one). Seriously though, with its family atmosphere and amazing food, this is a great place for small (4-6 ppl) groups, especially multigenerational family dinners. I literally gave the owner (count 'em, two!).

Very good service, interesting decor. Incredibly satisfying, rich flavors of Turkish Mediterranean cuisine. Had the Adana Kebab (char grilled ground lamb) which was full of rich wonderful flavors and was just what I wanted.

My family and I came for the first time and I must say, it was phenomenal. From the service to the food to the ambience. I sadly did not capture a photo of my cocktail but I ordered a pear margarita and wow!! It was delicious, not too sweet, strong like it's meant to be but most importantly, enjoyable. The chef came to our table to make sure everything was okay which it rarely happens in any restaurant. Experience was overall great! We plan to return.

We are delighted about the menu, the service, the food and the atmosphere with customized decorations: three chandeliers, two post lights, and various mirrors. Also the four outside tables with orange-colored umbrella facing east will provide plenty of shade in the afternoon. The lawn is beautifully manicure. Upon talking to all three staffers, the restaurant opened since three years ago. The chef/owner and the staffers came from Istanbul, Turkey. Not only we will be back, we will rave to our friends and families. Our experience is truly remarkable and more than expected.

Went there for dinner. Food was ABSOLUTELY delicious. Staff were excellent. Extremely friendly and very nice. I recommend you go and try this restaurant. Well worth the trip.

We had come here dozens of times for the previous restaurant, and this was our first time trying 460 Bistro. Everything was fresh & exceptionally prepared. The service was very attentive, but not annoying, and everything we tried was delicious. Our waitress was very helpful and suggested that we try the pink lady (which I did) and I did not regret it. The lamb shish was grilled perfectly. They even brought out a little birthday tray for our coworkers special day. Just note that there is a 3.5% fee for credit card use. We will definitely be back.

Very good Mediterranean/Turkish restaurant. Was crowded and a bit loud. Food was plentiful and tasted great. Staff was attentive and polite. Great spot.

My wife and I got two of the more expensive meals which was a mistake. She for the lamb chops and I got the grilled fish. Both looked tasty but had zero flavor. No sauce. No salt. No pepper. Just blandness and a high price tag. For over $100 we could have gone somewhere good....hell, even TGI Fridays would have been far better. Definitely not coming back.

first time dining here. we started with drinks and my negroni was good. mediterranean salad & zucchini pancakes were delicious. i ordered the seafood sauté for $38 and was served an appetizer sized portion of shrimp, scallops and calamari in a savory red sauce. we dine out often and understand that seafood can be pricey but the paltry portion of this entree and it's price point are to be avoided.

My wife & I ate here this evening for the first time. Everything was outstanding! The food was fantastic. We had the Babaganush & Grape Leaves appetizers. Both were very tasty. The Mixed Grill was plentiful with 2 types of lamb, chicken, lamb meatballs, rice, veggies & potatoes. The meats were perfectly cooked, charbroiled, tender & very flavorful. The Pistachio Gelato was a great dessert. Overall, the food was amazing & beautifully presented. The ambience is really nice with a Turkish flair. Mahmut the owner & his staff were friendly & provided excellent service. This is our new favorite go to place for great Mediterranean food!

This place was really good. A lot of times when you come to place like this the meat on the kebabs is dried out. Not here. Everything was very good and a staff was very friendly.

I have left a previous review regarding catering being exceptional. Since I had a party catered by them, we have come back to the restaurant many times, including tonight. EVERY time the food is incredibly good, very attentive service, and a beautiful atmosphere. You can't go wrong with anything on the menu and you must try their Turkish baklava for dessert... The absolute BEST we've ever had!

This place was pretty awesome. The food was very good and the grilled octopus was delicious. There were a lot of options and the food itself was just great. The service was excellent and the food came in ten minutes. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The restaurant was decorated nicely. Very colorful and welcoming. If you are looking for a a nice, friendly, place to go, this is where you should consider going.

The food is some of the best we have ever had. The staff makes it even better. They are so friendly. My husband and I travel from VA and we never miss an opportunity to eat here. The staff always remembers us, which is a great feeling. This is hands down our favorite place in NJ.

This restaurant is the most fabulous restaurant I have ever been to . I had my 70th birthday dinner at the restaurant. They gave me a birthday cake and a wonderful dinner with drinks . Came here for the first time last week and didn't realize how popular they were. It was a Tuesday during dinner time and almost every table was taken (on a Tuesday!). Ordered the 3 dip app (tzaziki, eggplant, and roasted peppers), mixed grill entree and for my two boys the chicken shish. Everything was yummy! They also give warm pita for the table that tasted like it was just made. I'm definitely coming back again!

Loved our dinner last night. The mixed appetizer with pita was perfect.....we shared the hummus, babaganoush and avocado/eggplant spread with warm pita and then shared a lamb and chicken shish. The service was attentive and very friendly. The ambiance was cozy and comfortable. We will definitely be back.

Went for New Year's Eve dinner. This place is so under the radar, because of the location. It has great food, great drinks, great tea. Nice decor. I think there's a small party room in the back. Now they have belly dancers on Thursdays. Street parking in front. Many couples on dates and families with kids.

I really enjoyed this place. It's a friendly, family run business. I chatted with both the chef/owner and his son behind the bar - because it was so clear that this place might be new - but the hospitality skills show years of experience. Little (haha) things, like the ticketing system is state-of-the-art and efficient. They have stacks of real menus. Nothing behind the bar is superfluous. dishes come out fast, they look and taste like they should. The light and sound levels are pleasant. It's just a nicely done place. Food? Oh yeah. Anywhere that has a calf's liver dish is going to be good :) But really everything was great. Nice Desserts too.

This place is really, really good. I had the manti, which are these delicious little dumplings. I also had some ajvar, which is a red pepper spread you dip some bread in. It was also tasty, though in no small part because the bread with fluffy and super good. I also tried some of adana kebob, which I also liked. Also, the staff were super nice, friendly, and accommodating. I went with my mother, who walks with a walker, and they helped her get in and out (which, for the record, wasn't difficult, since they let us use the side door, where there's a ramp). It also wasn't expensive. The kebob, ajvar, and a salad were all part of the lunch special, and it was more than enough food, as was the manti on its own if you snag some of your friend's bread and ajvar when they're not looking. Lastly, the restaurant was clean, and the chairs were comfortable.

The hummus appy is delicious! My friend and I discovered this restaurant recently. We love Gigi- waitress! The grilled shrimp on a skewer is spectacular

Great ambiance ,delicious food,spent evening well, good service .It was great atmosphere,though it was busy but was well taken care off.

Just to get it out of the way, with a new business, it's hard to fault staff for being OVER attentive, but it was juuust slightly north of that & made it feel a bit 'crowded' at times...but our water glasses were always full & we certainly provided feedback on 'how is everything'. The drinks were good, my cosmos was more of a monster cranberry juice but was refreshing & did go well with the food. No clue if it had vodka in it. The apps (pics): Liver was super tasty, raw onion, tomato, puffy pita. I would have liked more sauce/oil, those bites were great. The grilled octopus salad was the most unique texture & cut of octopus, can only assume that's what it was, but again, very tasty. Then the entrees came out & I lost my mind! I'm always 50/50 on stuffed cabbage. This was plump n juicy, tangy from a yogurt drizzle, crazy fulfilling & just deeeelish. Can't remember if it had rice in it but sometimes that ruins it so I was elated. The Sultans Delight is what I will go back for (& to try more). Eggplant purée with 'aged cheese' whipped together...you know when your macNchs juuuust starts to congeal but is still ooey gooey & unctuous? Yea, like that but it never crosses the line. Just scoopable spreadable RICH yummy eggplant & cheese with tender pieces of lamb sitting in the center & fresh cut raw tomato which was PERFECT. A must try. Rice was excellent, fluffy, with those little soft grains like pasta pine nuts, gotta look that up, wonderful. And some Turkish tea to end the meal. Prices were pretty typical for area, did not feel it was overpriced. Worth a look!

This is very good Turkish food. The restaurant is beautiful and they did a lot of work on it as they took over the old Grillera space. The owner is lovely and came out to introduce himself and ask about the food. The portions are big and priced well. Food is delicious and our experience was good both time we have eaten here. I would have given this 5 stars however we did have one hiccup with service on our second visit. Our server brought the wrong entree to our table. We spoke to him to let him know and he became argumentative for no reason. That was unnecessary but it happened and made for a few awkward moments. Otherwise highly recommend, you will enjoy this food.

If you like Turkish or Mediterranean food, this is your place. Well made and fresh, the food is first rate from the soups to the entrees. Not many people like liver as much as I do, but the liver appetizer is wonderful as is the Manti. Everyone who ate anything - fish, lamb and the platters - were happy with their entrées. Never had room for dessert. And lunch specials are a real bargain. Pleasant ambiance.

This is my favorite restaurant. The food is incredible and service is excellent. I got both the chicken adana and the adana kebab. Meat is tender, very well cooked and seasoned, it is really flavorful. They have a full bar and the cocktails are lovely. I got calamari with homemade calamari sauce, it is must have. Along with the 3 dip appetizer, the pink lady is my favorite, with the hummus taking second, the white sauce is called baba ganoush and nice as well. The scenery is inviting and everyone is very nice. If you want to eat delicious food with great service, I definitely recommend coming here, it wont disappoint! Side note: there is also a parking lot in the back so you never have to look for parking, very convenient.

Great local place. Food is good. Ambiance is nice. Servers are polite. No complaints here. They even have a bar!? It's pretty standard American Mediterrean fare, kebabs, etc. But it's always good and they're nice people to dine with. A frequent spot on our rotation. Recommend.

Found on Yelp recommendation based on liking Mediterranean food. Arrived early on Saturday evening after Met Opera in HD at a close by movie theater. Excellent food and service. Will go back when in the area. We were so early we could be seated immediately, but the place was packed when we left, so I would recommend getting reservations for another Saturday night.
