5 Pailles

A very cute restaurant in Paris with a strong brunch menu. I had the avocado toast which was “good” but not great. The produce was of excellent quality, but the bread tasted 1-2 days old, the dish was extremely under-seasoned, and dish lacked dimension. The cappuccino was acceptable but below average. I wanted to like this restaurant more and perhaps I just ordered wrong.

Second time coming for breakfast /brunch and as good as the first time. Daughter had the eggs benedict and I had the solidarity pancakes with fruit of the day, generously garnished with fresh plums, pear and banana. Part of the proceeds go to a local association 🙏 Friendly service and I recommend albeit a tad noisy at times.

really cosy place! absolutely worth trying. great orange juice - bit pricey, but it’s a big glass. i had the sweet pancakes and let me tell you, they’re really big! really fluffy and perfectly balanced with the fruit. the hazelnuts were a nice note to the taste. there’s yoghurt bowl with fruit en homemade granola was really good too. you get biological honey to add to both dishes. it was my second time here and definitely not my last!

I absolutely loved this place for its delicious food, friendly staff, and warm atmosphere. I can wholeheartedly recommend every dish — from the iced latte to the sunny-side up. And I must say, they have a uniquely delicious cookie! The food was just as delicious as it was beautifully presented… This is a wonderful and thoughtfully curated brunch café that everyone visiting Paris should definitely check out!

Awesome place. Good food. Surprisingly good (and fast) service for Paris (if you know what I mean). Super cute atmosphere. Great breakfast. Reasonable prices. For additional info: great coffee, all eggs are organic/free range and milk is organic, which is nice.

A hidden jewel in the heart of Paris. My eyes lit up at the sight of the extensive coffee menu. Even including my favourite and often hard to find (outside of London) flat white. We were spoilt for choice as pescatarians with most dishes vegetarian with the option to add bacon. We went for the delicious salmon eggs and shakshuka. Lovely ambience on a mostly pedestrian road, outdoor dining and charming architecture.

The atmosphere is great, the people are friendly and helpful. I tried pancakes, which are one of the best I've tried so far. The cookie is amazing, full of chocolate, so soft and delicious. All is so tasty. Highly suggested place to drop by in Paris :)

We enjoyed a lovely breakfast at 5 Pailles. The host was gracious and our waitress was attentive. A lovely setting for a conversation with my daughter as we are both visiting Paris from the states. We are staying in the neighborhood and 5 Pailles was very convenient. We will definitely go again.

Rude people. Says working place in yelp but although there's a perfect place to work on a computer in the corner and yelp says it's a great work place they don't allow it. No decaf either. Meh

A perfect coffee shop for everyday coffee in Saint-Denis. My friends and I were in Paris for one week and by the end the worker knew our drinks and recommended a bakery down the street with the best croissants!

This is one of the best coffee houses in town! They don't only genuinly care for the coffee they serve ( use very nice materials and coffee grains), they also care for the clients. Their barista has worked at some of the best coffee shops in Istanbul. If you are fed up of eating the same carrot cake and brownie all over the city, it is the perfect address. They serve lovely sandwiches, cinnamon rolls and very tasty cakes. They also have a very nice space behind where you can sit and relax.

I came twice on my last trip to Paris to catch up with a friend. The coffee shop has a serene and chill vibe. The coffee is one of the best i had in Paris. I highly recommend this place.

Hands down the best coffee in Paris. Try Kenya chemex- you will be surprised. Quality food as well - great salads, sandwiches, pastry - everything you could expect from a third wave coffee shop and then some. Espresso machine is an American made Synesso - it does not get better then this. Barista clearly knows what he is doing, he is really into coffee. He is also a pleasure to chat with. Overall you cannot ask for a better high quality coffee place.

Came out looking for some food and drinks while on Holiday from the states. Holy jeebus did this place deliver. Grab a beer or expresso, listen to the music and leave with another coffee. This place is awesome!!!!! NYC approved.

Hidden gem in Paris! Lovely cozy atmosphere with just the perfect coffee. Also has a great seating area in the back if you also want to get some work done while you are enjoying your gourmet coffee!

Great working atmosphere + amazing latte, homemade espresso pastries and incredible rose cake! Coming from San Francisco/New York, this is all I wanted to compliment my working day.
