5 Sentidos Cascais - Areia

Came here for my birthday dinner and the experience was so wonderful! The restaurant is in the middle of a quiet neighborhood in a beautiful Portuguese home converted into a restaurant it seems. They have nice outdoor patio seating but we sat inside. The decor has a relaxed Portugese vibe. The lighting is good and they have lamps at every table. They play good music in the background. They service is very friendly and efficient. Our waiter made our experience even better. The food is incredibly delicious. We got shrimp gyoza appetizer and it was moist and tasty. We ordered the lamb and also the duck confit as main dishes. The meat on both plates was so tender and cooked perfectly. Also the chocolate cake worth ice cream dessert was a nice way to end the dinning experience. This was our first time here and we will all be back!

We had the most amazing dinner at 5entinos this evening. I had the wild sea bass, the taste was so delicious that I just want to remember that taste forever. The fish so tasty and fresh, my plate was full of a selection of tasty vegetables and potatoes. The staff were friendly, really lovely and couldn’t do enough to ensure a top class service. Key lime pie was delicious as was our starter. 5entidos is Michelin star quality food and service without the price tag. We had a beautiful experience and hope to return again asap.

Our first time and I’m already trying to plan a return visit. From the welcome in to the so long ,everything was top notch. And the food was spot on excellent!!

Search no longer, make a reservation online and enjoy a great lunch or dinner here. Following the good reviews we found this gem and are so excited we went. The atmosphere and interior design are beautiful and the staff is incredibly friendly and polite. We had curried risotto with prawns and lime risotto with salmon - but were absolutely delicious. As dessert we had orange cake which was delicious as well. You can't go wrong choosing anything of their menu, so stop by. We are glad we did!

Very nice restaurant for lunch or dinner. We had dinner over here on June 17 2021. They have different kinds of risotto (which is there speciality). We had risotto with shrimps and risotto with chicken… Price/quality wise an honest restaurant! It’s nice and cozy to sit outside… . Very friendly staff, not pushy at all! Recommended place to go when you are in Cascais!

Hands down, the best meal I can remember having, probably ever! My boyfriend and I had a sea bass to share, and it was delicious. I seriously doubt that I'd actually ever tasted truly fresh fish until then. The garlic prawns were also perfect, amazing flavours and beautifully presented. The way in which our main was plated up for us at the table was totally unexpected and made the experience even more special. The service was perfect too, both waiters were extremely attentive and we were given a fab wine recommendation. The wine list is a good length, and organised by region, featuring a range of wines (most above 20EUR), but the one recommended to us was just 14EUR and great still! Thank you 5 Sentidos, it was truly the highlight of our holiday! I just wish I knew the names of the two waiters who served us so that I could give them a special mention

April 2024: Reopened in Areia! Many old favorites on menu. Core staff the same. Maintained ambiance in new place. We were early (7ish) but the room soon filled to capacity. Kitchen and staff kept up with demand. Went with old favorites. Will be back for more! (dinged one star on Atmosphere because of noise level). Oct 2022: Last dinner Monday was great if somewhat bittersweet. Permanently closed after their lunch service today Sunday October 17th. So sad!

Wow! This was an extremely tasty meal. Went for lunch and ordered a traditional risotto which is one of the tastiest I've eaten. Also had a salmon risotto, a bit salty for me personally but the salmon itself was incredible. Fresh and high quality ingredients cooked to order. I would love to try more of the menu. A meal that's worth the price, would definitely recommend.
