Ordered for a late night pickup. Sandwich's were dry. Meat was tender but not impressed with what was served

While we were in Key West, we looked for a place to grab a couple of quick slices of pizza. We found several spots featuring unique options like lobster pizza and wood-fired pizzas, among others. However, Mr. Z proved to be a great choice for a reliable slice. The atmosphere, music, and staff were really enjoyable and relaxed, giving it the feel of a cozy neighborhood pizza place. Mr. Z's has made its way onto my list of must-visit spots in Key West.

Solid pepperoni slice with good ambiance and a great staff. I can't emphasize enough how a good staff can raise the overall experience at a place. Small place with good energy that makes you want to return. Go check them out. ENJOY!!!

Excellent NY style pie. We had pepperoni and side of fries. BIG bag of fries. Delivery to pool at South Beach. Got the spot for lunch!!

We went back again for the delicious pizza, but instead of a cheese pizza we upped our game and got a whole pepperoni pizza. The entertainment outside the restaurant did not disappoint nor did the delicious pizza. We will definitely be back on our next visit to Key West.

Mr Z's is a hotspot for a late night pizza. After heading all the bars in Key West it's a must go to for one of the best tasting pizzas around.

This spot is my late night feeding place for a great pizza. Tonight as usual the small restaurant is filled to the rim with customers. Two tiny tables outside with a countertop for eating inside if you can manage not to get hit by other customer's elbows. I ordered my usual Philly cheesesteak and a small pizza which was made in about twenty minutes. No smiles from the staff just order, pay and eat. It's too busy in here for anything else. Walked the food back to my cottage and enjoyed it completely.

It's pretty small inside and there are a couple high top tables outside (seats 2 per table) if you don't mind the roosters lol. We ordered a slice of pepperoni pizza which had the perfect ratio of everything (crust, cheese, sauce, pepperonis) and the chicken cheesesteak - the pizza was just slightly better. The service was very friendly and the food hit the spot! We'll definitely return!

We did a delivery for their Philly cheese steak pizza and it was amazing! It was freshly made and the toppings were amazing! The service was quick with the delivery as we were too tired to leave our hotel room after driving 7 hours to get to Key West. I highly recommend Mr Zs!

MR Z's the MIDNIGHT PIZZA PLACE...located just off the Duval Strip in Key West. 18" pizza for $20.00. Great deal and legendary pizza joint which was packed with customers. Famous also for cheesesteak and Stromboli. Clean bathroom too.

Great choice for a quick lunch before we took off on another boat activity. We shared a pepperoni pizza oh so yummy. Although i have nothing to compare to i would recommend a fresh pie. It was devine. Also the staff was very upbeat obviously having a good time doing their job.

I've only ever had left-over Mr. Z's, but it's been delicious every time. I imagine when it first comes out of their ovens, it's incredible. We always recommend these folks for pizza to our guests at NYAH Hotel, when they ask about restaurants. Excellent.

The cheesesteaks here are the perfect drunk food. Did we go here 4 out of 5 nights that we were in Key West? Yes, yes we did. Do we regret it? Not at all. Will we go again next time we go to Key West? Absolutely! But side note that their fries are not as good so pass on those and stick to the meaty goodness of the cheesesteaks.

Heard they had the best Philly cheesesteak, but was far from the truth. Most of the cheese was on the outside of the sub instead of mixed in with the beef. Ingredients were definitely cheap and tasted like jersey Mike's. The guy working the counter was super rude and condescending to the patrons. highly disappointed in the hype and will not be returning.

Stop in for the Philly. At the suggestion of several locals I popped in for lunch. The awesome staff had me hooked up with a Philly in just a matter of minutes. The cheese is almost like queso, and the bread is absolutely incredible. Can't recommend enough.

The food was pretty good here. Especially for late night. I would definitely suggest the Philly cheesesteak sub!

This is a pizza slinging take out joint.....the crew is fast and efficient and know what they're doing. The credit card machine was broken so it was cash only when I went so it narrowed down our choices. We want to return to try their famous Philly cheesesteak next time. Great sauce on the traditional pizza, and the crust is light and thin like a great NY style should be. The white pizza was really flavorful ....heavy on the olive oil but the pizza dough shines in this one. Great late night pizza stop!

We ordered from UberEats on our first day since the Airport here is a mess and we didn't get our luggage til 1 1/2 hrs after the plane landed. The hotel wasn't even ready with our room. So it was a messy afternoon. And we were all exhausted by 6ish. When I saw they are top rated I was like hmmmm and the name is epic! We ordered 2 pies. Cheese and pepperoni. Both pies were delicious, perfect sauce, crisp on the crust and not greasy and over done. Definitely a plus in our books. The dough was delicious. Gotta love a good pie! Definitely will try them again.

Great pizza great phillys all around great food after bar hopping . Can get busy late night

We went twice during our vacation for some late night pizza. It was so good! We would have gone a 3rd time, but they were closed. Great pizza, great service!

Great pizza! Best pizza on the island coming from a New Yorker. They serve you quick. And it gives me that New York corner shop feel when you walk in there.

I got stuck in Key West due to weather and flight cancellation for extra day alone. My buddies made it out. I was looking for a sandwich shop close to my hotel just to grab a quick lunch. This place was highly rated and I love a roast pork with broccoli rhab. I've only ever eaten that sandwich in Philly. This one was literally perfect. Fresh bread. The rhab was just cooked enough to leave a little crunch, it was garlicky amazing and the shaved pork was crisp from the griddle. I ate in. The place is pretty small, probably mostly a take out place. But they were playing awesome 90s grunge / hard edge, which is just my jam. They have a few beers on tap. The crew were very friendly and I enjoyed listening to their banter back and forth! It was so good that the same night instead of eating at my very favorite KW restaurant, Pepe's (again I was stuck and alone so didn't feel like a sit down meal) I went back for a take away cheesesteak to eat on my hotel balcony in the rain. Again. It was not only good. It was great. The onions and mushrooms I requested were perfectly cooked, there was at least 8oz of meat and both the cheeses I requested were perfectly incorporated. I didn't have the pizza but this is also a pie and slice spot. Lots of pies went out while I sat there and they smelled and looked amazing. So if I ever go back with my kids and have a night we want to stay in due to weather or grumpy kids, this is where I'd order pizza from. I apologize but I only took pics of the roasted pork!

The pizza is totally worth the $5 a slice, the crust is nice and crunchy but has a beautiful flop to it. Totally recommend it after bar hopping on Duval. The people behind the counter are awesome and super nice to deal with unlike true New Yorkers

Superb! Service was fast, friendly, and immediate. A small pizza was $15 but a pretty large size (more than enough for two hangry adults). We ordered half cheese and half onion. It took 15 minutes for our pizza to be ready. The pizza tasted amazing! They use Toast to process their credit card transactions. The inside is small but who cares? I don't get when Yelpers complain about parking and downscore the business. It's literally in the heart of everything. Parking for customers would be financially unsustainable. They don't control the lack of street parking. Walk or don't blame the business for lack of parking.

Thin sliced meats on their Italian hoagie, amoroso roll and fresh veggies. This is a no frills place right off of Duval St. but food was good and service was friendly.

We stopped here twice on our way back from the bars to get a late night snack! I got a slice of pizza both times and it was wonderful. My friend got a hot dog the second time and she also said it was great. It was just but quick and the service was friendly. If we were here longer I would come back for lunch and try a sandwich. Overall great late night place to grab some food!

Great food all around, the Pizza and Cheesesteak with Cheese Whiz was phenomenal! We were in Key West for just 4 days, but will be eating with Mr. Z's every future visit. The driver was also great wnd had a wonderful sense of humor when delivering our food.

No trip is complete without at least one stop or two at Mr Z's. The best pizza in KeyWest.

Mr Z's USED to be the best place in key west for cheesesteaks. Unfortunately the last couple of times there the cheese steaks were bad. Both times they used half the steak that they used to use. More bread, less meat. Where's the beef? :) Better value at jersey mikes.

Philly dudes rolled down to Key West and opened this joint in 2002. Pizza is philly style - comes out thin and crispy and quick from hot ovens. Cheese and pepperoni. Cheesesteaks are South Street Style. Unfortunately the hoagie rolls are not as good as the rolls in philly. But decent rolls. Steak meat is lean and the whiz is tasty. Would choose pizza over steak, but just get one steak, one cheese, and one pepperoni slice and enjoy them all!

Pizza looked good but it was old and cold like it had been sitting for some time. When I placed the order I was told it would be ready in 20 minutes. I arrived in 20 minutes, took it back to the hotel(a 5 minute ride), it was cold, not even luke warm. I ate one piece and threw the rest away.

Excellent thin crust, crispy pizza slices. Fast service. Did not disappoint this former New Yorker.

By far the best pizza I've ever had. Also, best pizza by the slice as well! I should mention the owner/founder is originally from Philly who brought delicious and authentic Phillys and pizza to Key West! Our first pizza we ordered was sausage, mushrooms & onions. After eating here two more times before leaving KW we realized the first pizza (w/sausage, mushrooms & onions) had a slightly thicker crust. It was still New York style, giant slices, thin, hand tossed crust with all sorts of crispy goodness. It think that the more toppings you have the thicker the crust, maybe. The sausage is actually square which was different but so good! The mushrooms were canned but they were still good because they seemed to dry out a bit in their super hot ovens. We also ordered 2 Phillys. One with their traditional homemade white cheese sauce with mushrooms & onions and the other with cheese whiz, mushrooms & onions. They were both delicious but we agree that their famous white cheese sauce is simply the best (but you can't go wrong with either). The next time we ordered a cheese pizza with bacon on one half. Also a fantastic pizza but this time a bit thinner crust than the 3 topping we had 2 days prior. The pizza stands up perfectly when holding it up and easily folds in half to take a bite. We really enjoyed this pizza as much as the first one. The last time we ordered was super late night in an attempt to sober up for our walk back to the condo. We shared a slice of cheese, a slice of pepperoni and a Philly with white cheese sauce, mushrooms & onions. When walking into the extremely packed establishment you'll see 10+ pizzas cooked and stacked waiting to have a slice or two pulled off, places in the oven and served to hungry, tired, drunk, locals and tourist. LOL The pizza by the slice was just as top notch as the whole pizzas. We also agreed that the Philly was excellent late night as well. When walking down the street and approaching you'll get all the amazing smells! I love how tiny and packed the place is. The cooks are all working together like a well oiled machine. The cheese fries looked so good but I'll have to try those next time. If you don't get pizza and Philly from here when in Key West, you're doing it wrong!

This little place was a total gem! We ordered a small pizza with pepperoni and bacon, a Philly cheesesteak and cheese fries to split between three people. We were very impressed with the quality, the quickness of receiving our food and to be honest, the fun attitude the guys working provided. We also had $3 Rolling Rock, so that was great too. Thank you guys for a fantastic lunch. We will be back.

The good news is they make a pretty strong pizza, especially considering it's in Florida. The crust is excellent, with perfect Density and chew. It was a little heavy on the cheese because of the thin crust...shave off about 20% of the cheese and it would be a very very good pizza. Also, the staff is very friendly, and efficient. Unfortunately the cheesesteak was pretty terrible. There's no way these are Amaroso rolls. They are more like really big hotdog buns, too soft and no chew. It was also pretty Skimpy on the meat. I ordered American cheese, and the cheese was more like a cheese sauce. Also, anyone from Philly knows that the cheese is usually on the bottom of the meat, or mixed in. This stuff was poured on top. Honestly, it's not the owners fault that this cheesesteak doesn't deliver. It must be near impossible to get a legit Amaroso or sarcones caliber roll down here, or proper sliced ribeye. In their defense, a cheesesteak outside of the Philly area is never that good in my experience. The logistics are just too difficult. But I will gladly return for more pizza, or even try the hoagies (maybe I'll bring my own roll). Oh, and fries were top notch too. This place does a lot of things well, And I am hoping on upgrading my review.

When you need a quick break from fish in the keys, this should be your next stop! After a night of drinking what's more delicious then a cheesy Philly cheesesteak sandwich. They make them fresh to order and they are so flavorful!

Life saving late night food after you have walked or crawled to each bar up and down Duval! Delicious pizza and cheesesteaks here with fast service even with long lines at times on the weekend air suiting busy tourist season! It's a small spot so wait outside and make a friend or two to share or keep slices to yourself!

Great place to grab a slice of quality pizza. Fast service and open late! Went to two days in a row while I was on vacation. Would recommend for sure.

The pizza was the best we had in Key West. Small little place with a line waiting outside, that showed me how good it was. They were fast and the price was the great compared to any other place. Best deal in town. The crust was made just right, the sauce was amazing.

So I went to Philly after I went to Mr Z-ate roast pork and Phillies at two different places-Mr Z's still tops those places

Awful place. But absolutely awful service. They will serve you $5 3 hour old pizza and then catch and attitude with you for "wasting their time". Please keep your money and stay away from this late night restaurant. They're not polite and they do not respect any tourist. Actually disgusting the way they treat tourist and try to just make a transaction late night. Treating you like dirt. Terrible experience, the owner should be ashamed. EVERYONE AVOID THIS RESTAURANT!

Make Mr Z's a stop when you're in Key West. Cheesesteak is incredible. All made fresh and they know what they're doing. You won't be disappointed. Guys up front were friendly and have pride in what they're serving.
