Great restaurant and Bar with very good food. Ordered NY strip and was delivered perfect medium cooked. Chairs could be more comfortable when seated on a table. Good selection of draft beers and cocktails too

We were in town for a wedding and found this gem! Our party of four was seated promptly and greeted by Rachael, our five-star server, who took our beverage order and made fabulous recommendations! Cocktails and food was delicious. Fire cracker shrimp, saganaki, whipped feta, and grilled brie apps are all musts! The top notch hospitality from Rachael made our meal an experiance to remember! Thank you!

523 Tap & Grill was a perfect venue for a post event celebration with team members. The staff was able to organize a larger table setting for our group of 8 within a short time. The service was great, and the food was delicious. The Tableside Saganaki was a treat to see and extremely tasty. Since it was late, our team ordered appetizers and shared between us. It was more than enough for a late snack. I have also had lunch here and was pleased as well. The staff was friendly and helpful. The atmosphere was laid back and chill. I highly recommend 523 if you are in the area.

Food was delicious. Flavorful. We had the grilled Brie and I would recommend that one to everyone. My husband had the sea bass which was great! I had the ribeye with vegetables and the taste was awesome. The only thing I’d suggest is less herb butter on top of the steak. There was way too much.

Love it here. We had the shrimp cocktail and french onion soup and the millionaire salad. The lettuce wraps was taken off the menu for some reason. Please bring them back. Excellent food and service. The environment is pleasant as well.

Our service was very good and our meals were prepared as ordered. Delicious!!! The side salad was large enough for us to share, and it was delicious, too. I love the bread, a must have... We will definitely return.

This is a very nice place for a date night or a special family dinner. The service was speedy and the waiter even gave me a takeaway pop without me asking, which I really appreciated since I usually only drink one glass of anything when I go out and often leave untouched drinks when servers bring more. We ordered burgers and they were cooked perfectly to medium rare, which is something many places never get right. Here they did and it was absolutely delicious. I highly recommend trying the Main Street or the Elk burger.

Made a reservation a couple weeks in advance for 9 people. When we got there, there was no record of my reservation. They quickly got a table ready and everything after that was perfect. Food, drinks, and service were all amazing.

523 never disappoints! A group of 6 of us had dinner tonight and everything was great. I always get the plum burger, which is a must try! BUT, LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT Annie! What a pro...she's the best server I've had in a long time and she is why our meal was so memorable and pleasant.

Just happened to be walking past this place so we popped in for dinner. We didn't have a reservation but I am told you usually do because they get busy. I believe it because this place was great! We order the roasted brussel sprouts which were delicious. For our meals we got the cobb salad and a ribeye steak with sauteed mushrooms. Everything was just delicious. The steak just melted in my mouth. It is a little on the higher priced side but if you want a good steak, that's what you'll get. It was totally worth it. The service was great as well. Would definitely go back again.

We Ordered ribeyes cook and temp on them was good Griddle needs some cleaning I don't understand why you would put olive oil on bottom of plate for no reason besides making greasy Steaks need seasoning a nice crust would work luckily they had black pepper and salt at table Atmosphere is cool

Food & service was great. When I got back home to TX I received a bill from another credit card for a charge of $294.70 & this card was never used at this restaurant. I called the cc company to dispute the charges. This was very suspicious activity.

We were in Elkhart for the jazz festival and had dinner here 3 nights in a row. Two nights we had table service and one night was at the bar. Food and service was excellent even in the midst of all that hullabaloo. Seating was comfortable and volume was pleasant. Prices were reasonable. We look forward to dining there again when we return.

Great meal at 523 TnG . For starters the mushroom soup was fantastic ! For a mushroom lover it is Nirvana ! I got the Ribeye as my entree and it was spot on . The service was great as well . Any drink requests etc came within minutes , Thx for making up the Mezcal Margarita , love that smokey tequila flavor ! To end the dinner , you have to order the Creme Brule . It was so rich and creamy .

My husband and I enjoyed our anniversary celebration dinner this past Thursday at 523. It was our 1st time back since pre-COVID. It was a beautiful evening and we dined Al fresco on the patio. The service was perfect, never felt rushed. The chirping birds added a bit of fun to the atmosphere! Kudos to the chef in perfectly preparing my Mediterranean Lamb dish, although just a tad too lemony but not a deal breaker. And my husband enjoyed his "Bulldog" pork chop! The Classic Caesar salad was cold and crisp. Being a soup lover my husband enjoyed his Creamy Portabello soup. Everything was delicious!!!! We won't wait so long to return. Thank you to the entire staff in making our special day extra special.

Called and were informed they could create numerous gluten free options for me, obviously we had to go in! We had reservations, arrived a bit early and were seated promptly Amber L was our server, she was attentive and seemed to genuinely care about providing professional service! I asked my usual 5642 gluten related questions and she kindly answered them all We had the shrimp cocktail-yum all 3 of us had the honey chili chicken (gluten free meant no sauce). It was delicious!! The saucy birds were enjoyed by the gluten eaters and the plain by me-very flavorful! For dessert the non-gf divers enjoyed creme brûlée and lava cake--they both smelled Devine and were thoroughly enjoyed. Prices were very reasonable, atmosphere was lively and the food was amazing!

Have been here twice. Good atmosphere, good service, some dishes are hit or miss. My husband's sea bass was excellent, and my chicken was just okay. Another time his octopus was chewy and overcooked but my burger was great. Will keep coming back to try more.

Excellent food and great waitstaff. The strip steak, soups and Meditteranean salad were very good...would definitely go back again when we come back to Elkart.

Wow. The NEW ENGLAND CLAM CHOWDER was AMAZING. It's not a thick cream base it's more like a soup. I wish I lived here I would come all the time just for that item. And the restaurant has a great classy, relaxed vibe. A+

Enjoyed my Beyond Burger and the fries were really good and there were plenty of them. Sat at the bar and the service was prompt. Nice place!

To start out with, they have a great wine list and my fav a Syrah which many restaurants don't sell. Ambience and bar rail is great, the Gouda with berries!!! Yummy, just a good place!!

Sooooo yummy. The elk burger was yummy. Great food at a great location. The staff is nice but it can be a little crowded so make a reservation if you really want to go there.

Food was tasty. Tableside Saganaki (sp?) appetizer was delicious, as was the filet. Service was pretty slow. If you want sides with your main dish, you have to pay for sides separately. Nice atmosphere and fun night with friends!

We really enjoyed our lunch! The food was delicious. The dining room has a nice feel and comfortable seats comfortable temperature. Our service was excellent. Polite, friendly and attentive. It was our 1st visit and we're going to be back soon.

Great spot!! Steaks are always cooked perfectly to order, fries are dynamite, great offering of beers on tap and always a nice bourbon selection. The menu has a lot to offer from apps, salads and entrees. Staff is friendly and prompt. Great high end experience in the heart of Elkhart, In. I always stop in when traveling for work in the area and will continue to do so.

I love the food, atmosphere, service, and drinks. I have been coming here for years and will keep coming. My favorite martini is the French Ginger. Food... I love so much of the menu it is always hard to decide. I have tried nearly everything on the menu at some point and I recommend everything.

I eaten here 3 times in the last 60 days. Every time the service has been on point. I've never had a bad meal there after trying 3 different items. Above average quality of food and great ambiance as well. Our servers have always been very attentive and informative about their specials and also in describing what's on the menu that we ask about. We've had the NY Stip,Elk Burger and the Salmon. All highly recommended.

Grabbed lunch while we were in town for work. Lunch menu was solid: good variety of sandwiches and salads. Everything tasted great! Service was phenomenal; everyone was attentive and pleasant. Nice patio area outside. Inside bar looked cool. Lots of booths against the wall and tables in the main restaurant area. Bathrooms were very clean.

Walking in it seemed like I was entering a very nice, dim lit bar for happy hour type service. But when i saw Chilean Sea Bass on the menu I knew it was a little bit more. The food was just okay, just good. IMO the piece of sea bass was small. The menu said the sea bass was "market price", which is okay, but I was never given the price when I ordered. Matter of fact, as is it here I am still not sure what it cost (). Oh well, if you are in town and want to take a customer to a "nicer bar", this is not a bad spot.

Love the salads. Drinks are mixed just right. Food is delicious. Would definitely recommend. You should try them.

This was the best restaurant I went to in Elkhart! Absolutely loved it! Our server was super attentive and made amazing recommendations. They have great nightly specials. We went on $5 mule night. Disappointed I waited to go here on my last night in town, I would have gone again if I had found this gem sooner!! Ordered the salmon cakes and whipped feta appetizers, both were fantastic!! I got to take leftover feta to go! Yum. We both ordered the pork chops. OMG, the best pork chops I've ever had. I would have liked some extra mushrooms but ordered my pork chop with a side of mashed potatoes with Gorgonzola (?), I think it was Gorgonzola. Yummy. Looking forward to my next trip to Elkhart. I have two restaurants I want to go to again!

Food was on point. I had the octopus, which was a roll of the dice. So glad I tried it because it was very tasty. Staff was super helpful as I left my receipt behind and was able to get it the next morning.

No joke, the worst soups I have ever had. The French Onion was 1 star at best, and the Clam Chouter wasn't much better - returned them both. The burger was poor quality, but alway like to find some positive- the beer was cold.

Incredible food, and great service, even during a very busy Friday evening. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The only issue is a little noisy in the building when it was as full as it was. More difficult to have conversations across the table, but we did have a table of 8 so it was understandable. I would recommend doing a quieter evening during the week because the food was worth the visit.

I really don't know where to begin. This restaurant is amazing, probably the best I've been to in Northern Indiana. We ordered so many dishes, and every single one was amazing. The baked brie - absolute must order. Great flavors, blueberry compote with almond praline. Warm and creamy. Saganaki - Greek flaming cheese. They light it up tableside, which is a really fun experience. The cheese is crispy outside, melty inside. I've only seen this in Greektown before, so it was cool to see it on a menu in Indiana. They could serve these with something crunchier; crackers or toasted bread. Help keep the cheeses warm, too. The calamari was top notch. Served on a bed of lettuce, which made it cool quickly. The sauce served with it was a good spice level. We tried the French onion soup, mushroom rice soup and clam chowder. I included a pic. The cup is a bowl, and the bowl is an even bigger bowl. Again, everything was impeccable. The bread in the French onion stayed crunchy for the entire bowl, which is hard to accomplish. I don't like clam chowder at all, but I tasted this one and I would actually eat a bowl of it. The meals came out, and we were already pretty stuffed. I got lettuce wraps. They tasted good, but weren't what I expected. Just strips of grilled chicken with other fillings. I didn't taste the other meals, but my husband liked his elk burger and everyone else was happy. I wished I could have ordered dessert; the lava cake looked amazing. But we really couldn't take another bite after all the appetizers and soups. I will definitely go back the next time I'm in Indiana. 100% recommend.

Drinks are stiff and desserts are good. I don't have much to say about the food. Been okay every time my husband and I go there. Great staff, friendly environment. But drinks and desserts is what we normally go for.

Really yummy food and drinks. Nice vibe with plenty of options right in downtown Elkhart! Definitely worth checking out. I like to get the Cobb salad and my boyfriend likes the ribeye. This is by far one of our favorite places in the Michiana area!

We have eaten here several times and every single time both the food and the service is deluxe. We have never been disappointed. The food is fresh, perfectly prepared, and superbly tasty. We generally eat in groups of 7 or so. The last time we ordered pick up for my birthday. When we got home, we discovered 2 burgers weren't made correctly. It was then that the true greatness of 523 shown through. They immediately took steps to fix the situation, apologized, and gave us a gift card (which we will certainly use soon). Anyone can be good when they are always good. How they handle difficulties is where really great places shine. 523 nailed it! Terrific place, highly highly recommend to anyone.

This was a nice spot to have dinner. I hear the steaks aren't great- but we steered clear of them and had a fine meal. The mushroom soup was pretty awesome- full of shrooms. The feta and saganaki were both flavorful (who doesn't love crispy warm cheese?!). The 523 signature salad was just okay for me. I kept tasting oregano which wasn't the right spice for this dish. On the positive side- it was a big salad.

We were attending a concert at the Lerner Theater, and wanted something close for dinner before the show. Found this place a couple blocks away. Great find on our part! Menu with a lot of choices, starting with appetizers. We were impressed with the quality of the food. Perfectly prepared and presented. As good as the food was, the service was even better. if I could give it six stars, I would!

First time in this city on business. I can tell you I was not impressed when I asked for seating for 1. Was told either I had to squeeze in at the bar or make a reservation. Clearly there were plenty of other tables open. I won't bother trying to return after getting this treatment right from the get go. Guess you don't like to accommodate 1 person.

We just dined at this restaurant and are disturbed at how dismissive the owners are about enforcing the customers to wear face masks I their table. Really why do they want to be this way. I don't care for the mask but I care about being kind to others. Their hostess, staff and other customers are being put in a bad place because the owners have no backbone and don't care about the health of others. They care just about their bottom line. I own a business and I politely ask all of my customers to wear a mask and if they don't have one I give them one. My business is fine and so are my clients.

Great food and service in a quaint setting. Entrees are fairly priced and you have many options to choose from.

Very nice for area. I was surprised by the ambience, as well as the meal. Something I would expect in a bigger city - but, priced appropriately for where it is.
