529 Wellington Steakhouse

I recently dined at 529 , and overall, it was a decent experience. The service was very good, though it felt a bit rushed, as the waiter seemed eager to move things along. The food was a mixed bag—while the steak was cooked perfectly, the salad dressing was overly vinegary and didn’t quite hit the mark. However, the dessert was a highlight and ended the meal on a sweet note. The ambiance had an older, more classic vibe, which may not be to everyone’s taste, but the friendly staff added a welcoming touch. A solid option with room for improvement

Beautiful place with tons of character as it's an old mansion. Which is even more nice as the various rooms break up the crowds & allows for a more intimate dining experience rather than having to talk louder so you can hear one another. I totaly forgot to take pictures of our mains, as well as before we started digging into our appy's, but the steak was very delicious & well prepared to a perfect med-rare. I got the King Crab & asparagus with the 6oz tenderloin. For the price I will say I was expecting more than one crab leg, but it was perfectly delicious so I can look past that. They definitely uphold their reputation & if you'd like a fine dining experience with a really good meal, albeit at a high cost, you should definitely check them out Perfect place for special occasions.

Went for Christmas dinner with one of our vendors, the staff at entrance were warm and welcoming, service was impeccable, the waiter really knew the menu and all facets. Had New York strip and baked potatoe with asparagus and spinach. Then I ordered ice cream forgetting how much you get for $4! Yes there were leftovers 😀

Thank you 529, the meal was perfect. The appetizers were filled with flavour that made it hard not to finish eating. When the beef Wellington came, it smelt amazing. The meat could not have been cooked better. We had an espresso with dessert, which couldn’t be beat, and we were completely satisfied. The atmosphere had so much character and history, it was beautiful. Lastly, we have never had better service. There was nothing the waiter did not know about the food. He was attentive and friendly. We could not have had a better experience.

Came here for our now annual Christmas dinner with friends, and it was an incredible experience. The servers are some of the best in the city. With their expert knowledge of food and drink pairings, I was impressed. Personally, I like the server uniforms, they look like scientists. Our server walked us through sides, which is an experience I won't rob you of in writing, but rather something you need to experience for yourself. Food came out at perfect temp and was tasty! The presentation was top tier. My only gripe was leaving. It's very disorganized and a chaotic mess trying to get coats. The entrance creates this wild choke point, and no one can move. How the servers and food runners got through those crowds is beyond me. It's my only complaint. Other than that, the vanilla bean ice cream was flavorless. Would absolutely go again!

I recently had the pleasure of dining at 529 Wellington, and I have to say it was an absolutely amazing experience. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted by the friendly and welcoming staff. The decor was beautiful and inviting, with a cozy and rustic feel. The menu was extensive and had something for everyone, but I decided to try one of the their Canadian Prime steaks they are know for and I was not disappointed. The flavors were expertly balanced and the presentation was stunning. Each bite was a taste sensation, and I couldn't help but savor every mouthful. The side dishes are also wonderful for sharing with the table and are portioned large enough for many to enjoy. The service was top-notch, with the waitstaff being attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. They were happy to make recommendations and helped me pair my meal with the perfect wine. I also appreciated that they checked in on us multiple times throughout the meal to ensure everything was to our satisfaction. The restaurant also had a great atmosphere, with a lively but not overwhelming buzz. It was the perfect spot for a date night or a special occasion. I also loved that they had a great selection of desserts, and I couldn't resist trying their homemade lemon cheesecake. It was the perfect ending to a perfect meal.
