529 Wellington Steakhouse

Came here for a Valentine's dinner date with my husband. Staff are wonderful and the place is so well maintained.. We're new to Winnipeg and it was lovely to see a Winnipeg classic building serve delicious food. We got the salad special for the day with the lump crab. Ingredients were fresh and it was delicious. I got the beef Wellington and my husband got the salmon. Both were very good. The sides were well prepared and went well with the food. We got a few classic cocktails. No complaints there. They were made well. We got the chocolate lava cake for dessert and that was my favorite thing ever. The in house vanilla ice cream pairing with the cake was just fantastic. We had a late reservation (8:45) so we ended up being there till ~10:30 which is super late for me so I was so impressed at how present and thoughtful the servers were so late at night. They were fantastic and I have a special appreciation for the staff at 529 Wellington's. Thank you for a wonderful evening with a great meal & service ❤️❤️

My husband and I chose this place to celebrate our anniversary, and it turned out to be a lovely experience. Our server, Andrew, was warm, attentive, and very polite, which made our evening even more special. Although we don’t eat beef, we still wanted to visit for the overall experience and ambiance. While the chicken options were limited, we truly enjoyed what we ordered — the Caesar salad was fresh and flavorful, and the famous onion ring tower was perfectly crispy and generously portioned. The drinks were also well made and complemented our meal nicely. Overall, we had a wonderful time and felt well taken care of. We would definitely love to return, especially during the summer patio season to enjoy the atmosphere even more.

I visited 529 Steakhouse to meet my friends who love steak. Being vegetarian, I was worried about options, but the restaurant went above and beyond. They prepared tofu with mashed potatoes just for me, and it turned out to be an excellent dish. I really appreciated their effort, especially since vegetarian options are limited. Our server, Andrew, was exceptional. He was attentive, friendly, and went out of his way to ensure my vegetarian meal was prepared perfectly. His service made the experience even better. Overall, I had a fantastic experience despite being a vegetarian at a steakhouse. The food, effort, and service exceeded expectations. Highly recommend if you’re looking for great food and thoughtful service.

Great service and top-quality food. The 34 oz porterhouse steak was excellent, and the asparagus and lobster mac and cheese were amazing. The only downside was that the room was quite loud, making it hard to hear our conversation.

Beautiful experience! The service was lovely, I appreciated the birthday love. Food was well prepared and filling. Prices were surprisingly reasonable. Will definitely be back after this great first time experience! 🙏🏼

Excellent steak restaurant in Winnipeg. Highly recommend. Starters were throwing their punches, well worth the value. Excellent service. I had the beef Wellington and it was amazing. Desserts also good.

Amazing experience! Hats off to Vasyl, an extraordinary barman and server - he walked me through their cocktail and wine selections with great flair and expertise, guiding me to some excellent drinks. His thorough and friendly service are exceptional. The dishes were expertly prepared and exquisite - particularly the Beef Wellington. I will definitely return to 529 Wellington!

We had the pleasure of being invited to a wedding dinner here. The menu shows the selections available for the four course meal. Each dish was elegantly presented, full of flavour and served at a perfect temperature. There were 35 people seated at once, and the staff was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. The service was top notch. I would highly recommend hosting large events at this fabulous restaurant.
