Singapore’s new wave of steakhouses to sink your teeth into - SilverKris

"Named after the temperature of a perfect medium-rare steak, this restaurant celebrates beef in its most elemental form — grilled with finesse and kissed by flames. Premium cuts are sourced from the world’s finest producers, from Black Onyx Angus by Rangers Valley in New South Wales to Japanese Sanchoku and Satsuma wagyu, but the undisputed showstopper is the exclusive Black Market Beef from Rangers Valley, featuring rare Porterhouse and T-bone cuts raised on a meticulous feeding programme that amplifies tenderness and flavour. Each steak is seasoned with a proprietary seven-spice blend and seared over a custom charcoal grill that combines Australian ironbark for smokiness with white binchotan for a flawless caramelised crust; the result is primal yet polished and best savoured with housemade condiments like chimichurri, bearnaise, pepperberry and brandy sauce." - Karen Tee

Delicious and tender steak, definitely worth a visit! Made reservation and got a table easily, people who tried to walk in had to wait in case of no show. We ordered the 400g Ribeye, with the in house 54 Steak Sauce, two sides which were the Mash Potatoes & Creamed Spinach Sunny side, and the portion was just nice for me & my wife. The staffs were very friendly, and came around to re-fill the paid still water, and checking in on the food. The Burnt Cheese Cake at the end was just perfect, and came with the birthday set up on request, followed by a photo to take home for keepsake. Overall a great place for stake and to celebrate special occasions as well.

Located within two restored heritage shophouses on Amoy Street, 54° Steakhouse marks the latest evolution of Food Concepts Group, a name synonymous with refined dining in Singapore since the launch of Zafferano in 2012. The restaurant’s name draws inspiration from the ideal internal temperature of a perfectly cooked medium-rare steak - 54°C, underscoring its commitment to technical precision. It also pays homage to its address at 54 Amoy Street, situating the concept firmly within Singapore’s vibrant dining enclave. At the heart of 54° Steakhouse is an uncompromising focus on premium beef, sourced globally for quality, provenance and marbling. Signature offerings include Black Onyx Angus by Rangers Valley, Sanchoku Wagyu, Satsuma Wagyu from Kagoshima, and USDA Prime Linz Heritage Angus, each selected to showcase distinct flavour profiles and textures. For discerning steak enthusiasts, the restaurant exclusively offers in Singapore the Black Market Beef Porterhouse (900g) and T-Bone (1kg) from Rangers Valley. These prized cuts, raised on an extended feeding programme, deliver exceptional richness and tenderness, making them ideal for sharing. Each steak is prepared using a proprietary seven-spice blend and cooked over a custom-designed charcoal grill. A hybrid wood-fire technique - combining Australian ironbark for depth and Japanese binchotan for clean, intense heat, ensuring a perfectly caramelised crust while preserving juiciness. A selection of globally inspired sauces, including Café de Paris, Béarnaise, Chimichurri, and Pepperberry & Brandy, further enhances the experience without overpowering the meat. 54° Steakhouse strikes a considered balance between refinement and approachability. With its emphasis on premium sourcing, precise technique, and warm, expressive service, it reimagines the classic steakhouse for modern diners. Confident yet welcoming, it is well positioned to become a destination where steak is celebrated with both rigour and soul.

$28 set lunch at a steakhouse?! With delicious food, generous portions and excellent service. Comes with sourdough bread and caramelised onion butter. This is probably my second favourite butter after seaweed. Didn’t expect the butter to be infused with such depth of flavour. STARTERS 🫜 Marinated Beetroot, Smoked Yogurt, Pistachio 🍝 Cold Capellini, Yuzu, Scallops, Trout Roe (+$10) 🥬 Chopped Baby Gem Caesar Salad, Bacon, Parmesan We were not expecting full portions because of the price point yet serving sizes were substantial and nothing was compromise. MAINS 🐟 Mediterranean Seabass, Mint Marinated Zucchini 🐄 Tender Valley Flank Steak, Roasted Potatoes, Bone Marrow Jus (+$10) Fish was cooked perfectly and can I say that it’s so hard to find a steak for $38, much less to say a set? Some people might not like the cut but I always found it flavourful albeit chewier texture. DESSERTS (inclusive of Complimentary Coffee or Tea) 🧀 Dessert of the Day (+$8) It was cheesecake topped with berries. Mum was pleasantly surprised by how sweet the berries were. We topped up for Banana Fosters ($16) which was served with Dates and Spiced Rum ice cream, caramelised walnut and Gula Melaka. Appreciated the complimentary lemon ice cream birthday treat!

I celebrated my birthday at 54° steakhouse, and it was such a wonderful experience! The steaks were cooked perfectly — tender, juicy, and full of flavor. Everything from the appetizers to dessert was spot on. A big thank-you to our server, Mark, who made the evening extra special. He was attentive, friendly, and gave great recommendations. His thoughtful service really added to the celebration — it made me feel so well taken care of! Highly recommend this steakhouse for any occasion. I’ll definitely be back again soon.

Honest review. We were attracted by the 5 stars review and decided to book this place for dinner. We arrived early and was told to be back on the dot. We strolled around and went back and were told we were one min early 🤔 - nevertheless we were ushered to our seats in a small and compact restaurant. The service crew were overly zealous. Throughout the night, there was sense of rush where hands were stretched to reach for our utensils and we can’t help but to pause many conversations so that the service can perform their duties. Our starters were served promptly. But the mains took very long. In fact they asked us for our last order as then kitchen will be closed soon - but we haven’t had our main course. The scallops veered towards a drier side while the fancy cracker on top tasted burnt. (See photo) Potato brioche was very moist and fluffy - order more. Our porterhouse steak 🥩 was served very late. It was a tad cold. I wished it had more crust to it. We tried to enjoy the original flavour but we had to ask for salt to amp it up. The disappointment came with the 2 sauces ($8 each). The chimichurri looked like something they poured out from the end of a bottle. It was 80% oil and 20% spices. The off-green colour did not convince me that this is made fresh. The lamb had a strong gamey taste to it. We walked away with one positive experience- the Mac and Cheese. For a $500* dinner, I expected more.

Really good steak house. We tried the dry aged T-bone as recommended and the meat is flavorful and tender. Good selection of cocktails but since we are wine type, we ordered a red from a pretty decent selection. Not forgetting the service is attentive and prompt.

Celebrated a girlfriend’s birthday here and had a wonderful time. The ambience was warm and inviting, perfect for a special occasion. The staff were friendly, attentive, and genuinely made us feel welcome—special shout-out to Marco and the team for their great service! It was also pretty funny that the staff initially thought it was my birthday instead of my girlfriend’s—we had a good laugh about it. The complimentary dashi broth was incredibly flavourful and really whetted our appetite. My girlfriend absolutely loved her steak and foie gras—beautifully prepared and delicious. Thank you for the memorable dining experience!
