Yelp
The Snail was absolutely hopping within 15 minutes of opening, and we were lucky to snag a "seat" without reservations. We got a standing room only, birds-eye view of the pristine kitchen's artistry, and would have stood for a second round if the meal and experience weren't perfectly satiating. Food - amazing! Started off with Scallop Ceviche, which took us back to a certain seaside meal in Brittany. The flavors that develop as you taste are rich in memories and pure flavor. Lamb tartare, with its crackling accompaniment, delivered flavor and texture that outclasses any tartare anywhere. Think yourself into the Crab Ravioli, little cups of pure flavor, in a bath of a beurre blanc worthy of a five-star French restaurant. Light, seaworthy, and just enough for a spoonful with each ravioli. And carnivores won't do themselves any favors by conjuring up a whopper...2 patties of burger, with the hint of char on four surfaces... tucked into a perfect brioche bun. If there's room for dessert, go for Austin Baker's wife's light, layered gateaux or a sundae dripping with perfect chocolate syrup. All bookended with a flinty Loire Valley Sauvignon Blanc. One last thing - guess where The Snail name came from as you navigate the room. Another fun surprise. Go to The Snail in Greenpoint before it's too late to snag a reso!

Yelp
The Snail is perfect for a special night out. Dim lights and candles give the place a warm ambiance - the funky disco soundtrack sets a fun vibe. Their food is even better: the Steak Frites over peppercorn gravy is juicy and cooked to perfection. The Beet Salad is topped with flawless green pieces of fresh avocado and deliciously citrusy. For non-alcohol drinkers, a Winter Vacation mocktail with coconut somehow tastes exactly like key lime pie! We ordered multiple rounds despite the snowfall outside. The Snail's menu also offers seafood, chicken, and pasta options, so this place is great for a variety of special occasions and also dinner palettes.

Yelp
Food was good and the decor was a vibe. For being a new restaurant, there were no hiccups in service or the food. Steak frites was good, crab pasta was good, and the lamb tartare was also good. Kanpachi crudo was normal (good, but nothing extraordinary). Koginut squash was just ok - too oily (the grooves of the squash were filled with it) and the chili crisp on top was too hard and too much in juxtaposition to the soft squash. Would still come again! A cute neighborhood restaurant that serves good normal food (ie nothing surprises you), but it's still good.

Yelp
THE BEST!!! Always a line. There's a reason for that line. Love the food and every human that works there.

Yelp
New restaurant The Snail was a nice experience. The staff was friendly and attentive and the atmosphere was nice with an open kitchen concept. The standouts were the squash and Brussels. Every bite had the perfect amount of mixed textures and flavors. The Brussels weren't too crispy, too soft or too saucy. They were literally perfect. The tuna and chicken weren't that great. Everyone else was getting the burger and steak frites so that may be the way to go for entrees. Overall a very good meal and the drinks were good too.

Yelp
Everything is perfect! The food is divine, the drinks are really good. And the service is great. The truth is that the experience there was incredible. And we will be back soon

Yelp
Amazing food and cocktails. We got a selection of starters and they were all impecable. Apparently the Chef behind it is fine dining trained and it shows. A great spot to have a classy dinner without breaking the bank! Get the squash, brussels sprouts and caesar salad. The burger is top notch too!
