Google
Very enjoyable meal. The crispy brussel sprouts with walnuts were excellent, cooked perfectly, great flavor. The French Dip on a rosemary baguette was delicious and the hand-cut fries were wonderful. The service was very attentive and prompt.

Google
A pretty good place overall. Decent service, good food, nice bar, bathroom was reasonably clean. Their chicken wings were good although I was slightly bummed about their lack of hot/spicy choices. My vegetarian wife got the veggie burger and loved it; it was made fresh and not a frozen patty. My only complaint was that my feet stuck to the floor under our table which is always a turnoff.

Google
I appreciated that there were several vegan items on the menu. Thank you. I had the veggie burger, which was good, but on the bland side. The french fries were also bland and mostly limp instead of crispy. My friend had the Banh Mi sandwich, which tasted just like my veggie burger — it made me wonder if they were mainly the same thing in different formats. The atmosphere was relaxed and the server very nice and attentive.

Google
Food was Amazing!!! The shrimp and grits was delicious and so was the calamari appetizer!! Can't wait to go back. Our waitress, Amy was super nice and helpful with our first visit. We will be going back soon for sure!!

Google
First time here. The food, the coctails, the service and staff were all amazing. The meatball appetizer was delicious, the salad was fresh and crisp, the double burger was outstanding and the deserts are very good. We will definitely be back soon and recommend to friends! Excellent job TEAM!

Google
We had a stellar early dinner here. The Happy Hour was fantastic. The House Cabernet was very good. The Lovebird sandwich was great, as were the Tacos and the Cauliflower Bites. We will definitely eat here again. Our waitress was also friendly and helpful.

Google
My new favorite place!! Nice and relaxing environment. Excellent food and service. Roman was our server and he was amazing, all of his suggestions from drinks to appetizers to entree were fantastic! Abby the manager was kind even the prep cook who was making the hand rolled dinner rolls, which are amazing, he was nice. You won't be disappointed!

Google
It was pretty good. Not the type of restaurant that I'd typically visit. Seemed a little too pricey for my taste, but I'm sure the food might be worth that to others. I'm more of a value person than a foodie, I guess. So, if you like fancier food options with fancy prices, but not exactly a fancy restaurant, feel free to go here. We had reservations, so I'm not sure if that's necessary or not. The service seemed a little slow when we went, but the waitress was nice. Took around 20 minutes to get our food. Parking is readily available because this place is in a plaza, so parking isn't a problem. With plenty of other options in this area, I probably won't be back here unless we're invited by others.

Yelp
I had brunch there and it was my first time visiting. The pan seared salmon was amazing and the broccoli was delicious. The broccoli was the best I've ever had in any restaurant

Yelp
Amazing! Love the food, wine, and cocktails. Service is outstanding and the atmosphere is warm and inviting.

Yelp
Wow! Friends invited us here. There were 7 of us. We had 4 appetizers - Brussel sprouts, hummus, chips and salsa, and calamari. All were fantastic. Perfect cook, excellent spices, and great sauces. Main courses and salads were also excellent. We really enjoyed the pizza. Service was fantastic and a nice selection of tap beer and specialty drinks. Happy hour pricing on apps and drinks from 4-6 every day. Decor is warm and inviting. One of the best meals we've had recently. If we were local this would be tops on our regular list. We were too busy talking and enjoying to take photos but the food looked beautiful too.

Yelp
Sunday brunch while in Ohio for hubby's family reunion. First I do have to say the service was ABSOLUTELY amazing. We were 4 full tables, adults, picky teens and 3 children. Drinks were quickly received, my bloody Mary was mostly bloody Mary mix. Seriously did not taste the Titos vodka at all. Hubby ordered shrimp and grits, I had to laugh at the so shallow bowl, it was not an entree size more of a appetizer portion. Grits were very salty!! At other family tables were fresh pizzas, chicken sandwiches, sweet potatoe fries and a variety of plates. Everyone was pleased with their meals, and mostly the company as we were departing and returning to our homes in a number of states. Ambiance, the restaurant is nearly decorated dim comfortable lighting. I can't emphasize enough our servers. Even with the 18 of us they did an amazing job. Id like to checke them out again when we are in the area.

Yelp
This was our first visit to 56 Kitchen with our adult children and two grandchildren aged 12 and 9. We were very satisfied with our dining experience. The menu was quite varied and the food was excellent. I had a vegetarian stir fry which was tasty. It had a wide variety of veggies with an large portion. Quite tasty. The other adults had various salads that were well prepared. There was a children's menu although it wasn't printed on the menu. The service was excellent as well. Our server checked several times to see if anything was needed. The restaurant was dark and sparsely decorated, but clean and comfortable. We were impressed and will return.

Yelp
We stopped in to have a late night bite. The place was well lit and welcoming. The service was friendly. We ate the chicken Bahn Mi chicken and Vegan Bahn Mi sandwiches. They were both very tasty. We also had the Thai cauliflower appetizers and it was delicious.

Yelp
It is very good! Unusual menu but a great place to try. Service was excellent as well.

Yelp
Wonderful find! Came here when the wait was too long at another restaurant. Coming back here soon as I can. Service was outstanding! Food was wonderful and prices were great.

Yelp
Their uniqueness never ceases to amaze me. I am a big fan of brussel sprouts and when you add crispy diced sweet potatoes and candied bacon you have an appetizer that truly surpasses all others. Now the main dish I selected was king pao cauliflower which had roasted pickled cauliflower, toasted sesame seeds, roasted peanuts, Fresno chiles, orange gochugaru (Korean Chili Powder) glaze on organic brown rice which was screaming healthy but utterly amazing. Service was on the spot even with a couple big parties. Comfortable roomy seating.

Yelp
A great choice made by my mom for her birthday dinner with the family! My brother and I had never been but we've heard great things about and 56 didn't disappoint!! With a gluten sensitivity, I love it when a menu and staff are well versed. The menu was clearly labeled. Our waiter was very attentive to our food allergies and sensitivities. The initial drink orders were places and then we had some time to look more at the menu and our choices were made. We must've arrived at a prime time because once we ordered, the restaurant really started filling up. The food came out pretty quickly, I'd say about 15-20 minutes. Wow, was it wonderful. I enjoy a simple dish like a burger done to the exact specifications I asked for with the dietary restrictions covered for those who need it. The two sandwiches were both enjoyed. My dad and brother ate half of their sandwiches and then gave the other half to the other and each liked the unique flavors from the toppings. And my birthday mom had to take home almost half of the kung pao cauliflower because she went to town on the crispy brussels. What a fun little place. Awesome staff. All other parties in the restaurant were all having a great time and their wait staff were really setting the tone. The hostess upon us leaving saw my mom had a to go order and asked what it was. Her and my mom got to talking and gave her recommendations for next time! So, long story short, we will be back. Lots more things to try!! Well done kitchen 56!!

Yelp
Nice lunch spot in the middle of a strip mall in Solon. Definitely surprised by the size of the place. Service was good, but a little slow. But we weren't in any rush as we were just enjoying time in town. Food was done very well. Very tasty.. Loved the pretzel bagel.

Yelp
It has been awhile since I have been here and I still love the atmosphere and ambiance of the restaurant. I'm not sure if I am a fan of the salmon protein dish with 2 sides. The salmon was good but the sauce was over powering and I'm not completely sure if the salmon was done. Service was good but started to get busy and it seemed like there was only one server during lunch time. If I come back I would try something else.

Yelp
Stopped in for a quick dinner with my teen child. She loved her pizza and I had a nice house made veggie burger. Fries were only ok. Friendly staff. Really liked the ambiance. Different vibe than the mayfield heights location. This was quieter. Wish they had a vegan cheese option for the pizzas!!! Vegan cheese has come a long way.

Yelp
My husband dined here not long ago and weren't super impressed. I thought the salad and burger were both mediocre even though the burger looked very visually appealing. I also didn't like the atmosphere. It didn't have a cohesive feel. I'd say the best part of the experience was the friendliness of our server.

Annett W.

Yelp
The service was amazing, the environment was great and so was the food and drinks. Are server meet all are needs and then some. Just a great time overall.

Yelp
During my recent visit to Cleveland, Ohio, I chose to stay in Solon. We found a neat family style restaurant with good food and even better cocktails. 56 Kitchen offers a menu with American fare in a fairly low light setting. They are located in a shopping center so there is plenty of parking. At prime dinner hour there was plenty of seating due to the size of the dining room. I had the meatloaf with potatoes and carrots and they all were delicious. The portions are large enough for the biggest appetites and likely have leftovers. Our server was very friendly and explained in detail the minor differences in dishes which we weren't familiar.

Yelp
Whitney Went Well!!! First visit here to 56 Kitchen. Whitney really made the night. She has such an amazing sense of humor, gorgeous eye liner and such fantastic and quick service. On top of an amazing waitress, the food was outstanding. Really impressed.

Yelp
What a great spot. Good vibes and incredible food and service. A great selection and they can customize to your needs

Yelp
I tried 56 Kitchen while traveling through Cleveland, and it was such a great find! I ordered the pick-a-plate dinner with steak, green beans almondine, and mashed potatoes, and it was outstanding. Everything was fresh, perfectly cooked, and bursting with flavor. I was honestly shocked at how affordable it was--it's hard to believe they're making any money with the quality they're offering at that price. You could see how much the workers cared about every part of the meal, from the presentation to the service. I'm already looking for an excuse to get back to Cleveland just to eat here again! Highly recommend!

Yelp
For some reason this place didn't show up in my Yelp search for a nearby restaurant, but luckily I also searched with Google Maps and found it. This restaurant is very nice inside and has excellent food. Their French fries are great and they have some nice discounts for happy hour. Their staff was also kind and helpful. I'd recommend a visit if you're in the area.

Yelp
A group of 12 had lunch. The table was ready. The waitress was wonderful. I like 56, and I ordered my usual, a veggie burger. When it arrived many people commented on the large "bun." It overpowered the small veggie patty inside. This veggie burger was not the norm. I was disappointed in it. The veggie patty was too small. The "bun" was too large. The kitchen needs to go half way on both....more patty, less bread. The patty with the veggie toppings was tasty. I ate it open-faced. The salad was good, but the lettuce is the spidery-like kind that is not a favorite, and it was in many salads that the group ordered. Salads need some broad leaf lettuce. Other meals were satisfactory. There are regular tables and high-top tables and a bar. The restaurant is pleasant. It's in a strip shopping center.

Yelp
We ended up in Solon for an event that I got times wrong for, so we were trying to find somewhere local to stop. We stumbled upon this little place to try and did carry out to take it home. The restaurant had an overall slightly rustic feel and was nice and clean looking. Staff were friendly and met us immediately to help us with our order. We tried the Beef and cheddar sandwich and the steak burger, both of which were very good. The steak burger came with fries, which you could tell were made in house. They had a slight crisp to them which I loved. Also tried their green beans which were some of the best I've had with a garlic taste to them. If in Solon again, we would go back and I would recommend this place to others!

Yelp
The service and food are impeccable. Being that I'm a gluten free patron, they accommodate my palate and taste buds with amazing options. Gluten free burgers and pizzas along with many other fate. Variety and quality sets them apart from the rest. I've introduced friends and family to this establishment over the years and will continue to do so. The current manager Justin is top tier, our server Rita was superb, and Chef Marshall is in a league of his own. Give them a try. Every bite will be worth it!! Well done even though like my steaks med rare ps. Nice feel good bistro vibes too

Yelp
Yelp claims I have already reviewed 56. So, Just a quick addendum about Saturdays dinner. I had the trout special, and SPECIAL it was. Matt the chef exceeded again. Plating was nice, the aeoli for the trout was out of this world. It is now Monday and I am eating the leftover couscous salid that the trout sat on from Saturday. It is SO DELICIOUS I had to interrupt my lunch to post this critique. Thank you Matt, and thank you Amy our server, for a wonderful evening meal.

Yelp
Great food and service! The burgers were some of the juiciest and best we've had in quite a while! Prices were good

Yelp
how did I not know about 56 kitchen earlier? This place is a great quiet spot, offering great draft beers, innovative appetizers, and outstanding entrées. We have been to her three times in the last few months since finding out about it. They offer a great happy hour with discounts on drinks and appetizers from 4 to 6 on weekdays. Our most recent visit we started with a poutine, which was done in the traditional cheese, curds and gravy over fries style made famous in Quebec. it was excellent and rich. My wife had the margarita pizza and I enjoyed the steak Frites. Everything was delicious and we finished up our meal with the housemaid donuts drizzled with chocolate powdered sugar with a side of raspberry compote for dipping. Service is always attentive, and the white staff is very friendly and helpful. An all-around great local place that you might not know about. Don't be put off by the strip mall location. 56 kitchen is an outstanding dining spot.

Yelp
Unexpected-all I have to say. In this plain Jane plaza of random stores, you can find this unexpected restaurant. Inside, the atmosphere is modern industrial, which is a style I really enjoy. In the back is a large bar and some of the exposed kitchen. The menu is American fare with a twist. Pictured is a twist of one of my favorites: vietname bun mi. It was called the bun mi bird. Instead of a traditional pork, it is buttermilk fried chicken (a bit over cooked/dry) mixed with pickled veggies, cilantro, and a spicy mayo. I had a bite, and it really did remind me of a bun mi (I've had quite a few growing up). I had the flank steak on top of bleu cheese bachamel. I love bleu cheese a lot, but this sauce just had a slight hint only- still super delicious. Steak was cooked a perfect medium rare (for the most part- 3/4ths). My arugula salad was perfectly dressed with a light vinaigrette that paired well with my steak. And do you see the pile of fried onions I got! I loved it. The pizza was pretty good (for the the name) but they did not skimp out on the toppings. It was loaded with mushrooms and artichoke hearts. It was delightful- especially when adding some fried onions on top. I feel like it did lack something, but I'm not sure. Maybe acid? Trust me, you're gonna want to try this unexpected place out.

Yelp
My wife and I stopped here while in town recently. From the outside, being in a strip mall, it doesn't look like much, but the inside is really new and modern looming. Great service while we were there as well. The food was a little off however. We started out with an appetizer of the cauliflower Buffalo wings. These were the beat part of the meal. For our meals, my wife and I had the vegetarian meatball banh mi and the love bird chicken sandwich. The banh mi was a good idea in theory, however the flavors did not come together at all. It also seemed like it was just all thrown on the sandwich. The chicken sandwich had too much going on. It was topped with Swiss, fried Brussels, dressed field greens, tomato jam, and an aioli. Way too many wet ingredients and the sandwich became a mess after one bite.

Scott H.

Yelp
What a great place and wonderful surprise. Wonderful service. Stopped in for lunch. Loved the cuisine, the service and pricing.

Yelp
My husband and I stopped here on Friday. It is tucked into a shopping plaza, but has nice decor once inside. It is dimly lit with tables and chairs. The bar lets you peek into the kitchen area. Our server was less than stellar; but her colleagues made up for it. We ordered the spesso pizza which they said was the most popular. It was a lot of meat like too much meat. I barely tasted pizza. We also got a Caesar salad which was pretty average. It did come with a bread stick pretzel. Overall good.

Yelp
Food and service is great. Love the pretzels bagel and the french kiss salad. Never had a bad experience.

Yelp
Shared beef short rib with my husband on a Saturday afternoon a few weeks ago. Reasonably priced and SO good!

Yelp
Nice hotpot spot. Nice selection of broths and additions. We visited inn the day of the eclipse, so we had the restaurant to ourselves for a bit.

Greg V.

Yelp
Asked for salad and medium rare beef. Beef was two days old and well done. Did not finish the salad. Very disappointed. 2nd disappointed meal there. Will not go back there.
google avatar

Yelp
Large servings. Slow service. Food and ambiance was forgettable. I would not seek this place out.

Yelp
Came here with a friend tonight to try the gluten-free options. I was pleasantly surprised. They were very knowledgeable of what was safe to eat and although they don't have a dedicated GF fryer, the options were extensive. I had the French Kiss salad and the Love Bird sandwich. I wasn't sure if I would love the sandwich but it was awesome! So flavorful and the GF bun didn't crumble the way that most do. They also had Diet Dr. Pepper - most places only have Diet Coke or Pepsi. I can't wait to come back with my husband to try more of the menu. The staff was attentive and the atmosphere was clean and appealing.

Anthony H.

Yelp
I'm a burger snob visiting from out of town. I'm also gluten free so meeting my standards is very difficult. We stumbled on this place randomly. Holy smokes! This burger blew me away. I may need to revisit before I leave town, but it might just be my favorite. Ever. The rest of our party loved their food. Highly recommend!

Yelp
I had never heard of this place until recently but since I'm local, it was good that I checked it out. First impressions...I thought it was for sure closed because it was so dang dark in here. The room is spacious with rustic looking decor but nothing stood out as too creative or high end. Maybe it was because it was a Monday evening? Maybe their head chef wasn't there? I don't know but I'm probably not coming back to this place... Pros: I'm scratching my head here because I can't think of much...not crowded was nice. Location was convenient with plenty of parking...They tried with presentation of making a small amount of food arranged artistically unsuccessfully Cons: -Our waiter was extremely slow and there were only 3 other tables the whole night. He waited 10 minutes after all our food was cleared to ask if we wanted dessert. No...just the check but that took another 10 minutes of waiting to take it...we wasted a lot of time here because of his speed. He was nice enough but not attentive -We ordered the poutine, beef short rib special and salmon nuggets. The nuggets were cold on the inside. My date spat his out. The beef short rib was shredded into smithereens and served on 3 crackers. There was not enough food for a mouse. It's not my first rodeo with poutine. You can't just take regular skinny burnt end fries and melt mozzarella on it. Where were the cheese curds? Where was all the gravy? Fail. -The bathroom smelled funky, was extremely cold and didn't have a working soap dispenser -The menu also looked too basic. Wish they had more choices and variety

Yelp
Great food, great service, great ambiance, really everything is fantastic! Definitely don't sleep on this little hidden gem of Solon!

Yelp
My husband and I were in Solon, OH for our friends' wedding and were lucky enough to go to dinner here. What a FABULOUS experience!!! The staff was kind and able to fit us in without a reservation. Our food was so fresh and delicious, and Lexii, our waitress, was lovely and obviously a fan of the place. She enthusiastically recommended items on the menu and shared the story of the restaurant's origin and development through the years. I chose the French Kiss Salad with salmon and it was perfectly prepared. My husband picked the seasonal Fall Apple Salad--also wonderful--and we each tasted both. A glass of white sangria, which was a clever twist on the usual version, nicely complimented my meal, while my husband thoroughly enjoyed his bourbon flight. Finally, we brought a slice of chocolate mocha cheesecake back to our room. I know we won't be disappointed when we break into it later! Thank you, 56 Kitchen--particularly Lexii!!!

Yelp
Such a cute spot in Solon. Very warming when you walk in. The staff is so friendly and welcoming. Their pizzas are delicious as well as the club salad. To go orders are simple and done in a timely fashion. I always enjoy a visit to this spot!

Yelp
56 was such a great experience. I am so glad I decided to eat here on my way through the greater Cleveland area! The ambiance was that of a delightful social kitchen with simple seating, and cheerful wait staff. I chose the Piedi Nudi which was one of their yummy, more of a veggie pizza. It was delicious! Again with the simple, I had the British Invasion which is an Earl Grey infused Vodka with lemon and honey, sort of like a cup of tea on stilts. :) It was really tasty! I really enjoyed just being there and, traveling alone, I didn't feel like I was an imposition dining single. All around, I would say this was a great experience. I will return when I'm in the area.

Yelp
I was driving from Chicago back to New Jersey and stopped by Cleveland overnight. I came in around 9:30 pm on Thursday night and the restaurant was empty and they were getting ready to close early. I preserved the Pan Seared Walleye and the bartender was glad since she thought that was a great local dish. I was not disappointed at all the Walleye, thought cooked from frozen steak, was crispy one side and tender and juicy on the other side. The grilled polenta and ratatouille tasted great as well. What a delicious late dinner! Definitely worth coming back to sample more dishes.

Yelp
Service and food wonderful. Highly recommended. Tucked away in the Solon strip mall. Nice welcoming restaurant.

Yelp
Absolute worst experience we've had in a long time. Went for lunch on February 13, 2024 and ordered a burger. I asked for my burger to be medium rare (a very common cook for a burger) and after a somewhat long wait, it came out well done ... actually, beyond well done. It was burnt on the outside and completely dry and overcooked inside. I showed our server and she apologized, and ordered a second medium rare burger. After a little while the second burger came out and this time it was raw. Completely raw throughout. I showed our server and she called over the head chef. That was a complete waste of time; he had a piss-poor attitude and started making excuses and said there was a lot of stuff going on, but I pointed out that the restaurant was empty with only 3 or 4 tables occupied. Even our server was taken aback by how rude he was and the total lack of customer service he provided. He seemed peeved to even have to deal with me. He asked if I wanted something else and I said I had wanted a burger, but apparently their cook was incapable of cooking a medium rare burger. At that point, my wife and I left and vowed to never come back. If the grill cook can't even make a simple burger to the proper temperature, that definitely, in my opinion, does not bode well for the cooking abilities throughout the restaurant. How this grill cook even got a job speaks volumes about the management staff and head chef. Do yourself a favor and stay away ... especially if you want a burger.

Yelp
Food was plentiful and good. Service was excellent. Had a very attentive waitress. Comfortable place to be.
