58 on Cron Motel

A great stay at a place that is withina leisurely 5 mins to the town centre. Graham was friendly during check-in and provided us milk and a guide on the surrounding area including which treks we could do. The rooms were also clean and our only wish was for the shower not to be fixed which would have been helpful especially for the kids. Overall, highly recommended base if you're in Franz Josef.

We had a wonderful time staying at the 58 on the Cron in Franz Josef. Graham and Cheryl were so kind, helpful and supportive. Graham actually transferred us from the rail station in Greymouth, an almost 3 hour drive. The hotel rooms were spotless. The continental breakfast was very good. Graham and Cheryl directed us to excellent local restaurants and local sites. We had a memorable visit in Franz Josef. Everything about it was so beautiful. Thank you for a lovely stay for my group. 58 on Cron is an exceptional motel. Very comfortable, well appointed and quiet. The motel has available a healthy breakfast for $15. This is delivered to your unit the night before. Walking distance to the whole village with parking right outside your door for car.

The place was lovely and quiet. I loved the atmosphere and the professionalism of the staff. They heated the room before my arrival because it was a rainy day, and they offered me an umbrella to borrow, milk in a glass bottle, and excellent service. See you soon.

Great service. When our bus didn’t come, Ace hopped on the phone and helped us get it all sorted. Love that they asked if we wanted milk when we checked in. Thank you! Shout out to Ace for being so helpful and kind.

We had a pleasant stay here, rooms were nice, clean and spacious for us. One of the most impressive thing I noticed is the pleasant environment, not just weather but the people as well.I will book again if I decide to visit Franz Josef.

From a warm welcome to excellent accommodation, our stay could only have been enhanced by less rain ( which our hosts had no control over😆) |The rooms were very clean , equipped with everything we needed and of a high standard.|58, on Cron is very well placed in a quiet area of the village but close to all the amenities. We had a lovely meal in King Tiger, which is only 2 doors down from the accommodation, but there are lots of other very nice restaurants and bars, just a three minute walk in the other direction.
