5th Avenue Gooseberry Guest House

My wife and I stayed over for a few nights, together with a friend of ours. What a beautiful guesthouse! Everything was perfect. The owner and the staff were exceptionally friendly. We felt so welcome and very safe. Coming and going was very easy, too. Thanks to Susan, Connie and Sarah! Would highly recommend!!!

This is a truly beautiful house and garden facility with individually styled rooms and exceptionally friendly staff. Location quiet and safe.

The staff made me feel like I was the only person on earth, and the surroundings were very clean and tranquil and best of all, the premuse lived up to the pictures posted. I would definitely recommend to anyone visiting joburg for the first time and for return visits

Home away from home, delicious breakfasts, friendly hosts. Decor of the whole guesthouse is just AMAZING!! 4 stars for room because there is no aircon. Really hot with only fan. But the rooms is still very elegant and cozy.

Wake up to birdsong in a peaceful and quiet retreat.||The facility is clean and well maintained. the staff is friendly and highly competent under Anna's leadership. A larger fridge is recommended to cater for scorching summer days.||

Complete bliss, beautiful scenery, beautiful area, the guest house is very safe and secure. We enjoyed this house very much. We booked out the whole place and used it all. They are very accommodating. Amazing place .

This was our second visit to 5th Avenue Gooseberry Guest House. What a wonderfully relaxing experience in a beautiful home with a lovely garden and pool! Our room was spacious and comfortable, and the service was excellent.

I truly enjoyed my stay in this guest house in Linden! The property is a lovely garden and cottage style house, and my room was quite comfortable. The staff are one of the greatest assets, as they are extremely friendly and looking after you. Breakfast was tasty. There seems to be a guest kitchen if you want to cook for yourself, but the neighborhood is quiet and safe and I had no trouble walking a bit over a block to restaurants. The art is lovely, with a clear Christian theme. I had some issues with wifi but with such a short stay, didn't ask for help clearing it up, and the lack of a/c was not an issue. The one negative is that I found my walls a bit thin. Fortunately the place was a bit empty so it wasn't too big of a problem. All in all, for the price paid, it was an excellent bargain and I'm very happy I chose it!
