5th Avenue Gooseberry Guest House

We had a most wonderful stay at Gooseberry Guesthouse, Susan the manager accommodated an early arrival for me, and the peaceful and beautiful surroundings with a warm welcome from Connie, who checked me in and made me tea. This was so appreciated after the busy morning in the city. The garden is well established with a pool to laze around. The fresh white linen and pristine room, beautiful art, mostly created by Susan, and olde world interior decor all added to the layers of comfort, charm and enjoyment during the stay. I loved the balcony on our upstairs room with seating to enjoy a cup of tea or glass of wine. As an establishment owner I could really appreciate all that has gone into creating this amazing guesthouse with such attention to detail. We will definitely be back. Thank you to Susan and all the staff. We think you are doing a great job and do SA proud!

My wife and I stayed over for a few nights, together with a friend of ours. What a beautiful guesthouse! Everything was perfect. The owner and the staff were exceptionally friendly. We felt so welcome and very safe. Coming and going was very easy, too. Thanks to Susan, Connie and Sarah! Would highly recommend!!!

Such a lovely clean and quite place . Friendly staff there Connie and Sarah m love them . My kids loved those two aunties . Had an opportunity to meet Susan the owner who is also lovely and friendly. Coming all the way from Durban to Randburg and made us feel safe and home

The property is well situated close to the cafes and restaurants of 3rd and 4th Avenues Linden and perfect if you are on foot. Secure, clean, comfortable and tastefully decorated throughout with friendly and helpful staff and a beautiful garden

It was really a great trip. Friendly and very peaceful. We enjoyed the rooms and how accommodating that was.

Communication was fluid. Bed linen was wonderful and made sleeping wonderful. Parking was convenient.

Stayed for 2 nights, place is amazing, clean, safe, and the ladies were very friendly. Highly recommended.
