5th Avenue Hotel

This hotel is NOT REAL. My wife and I arrived at 9pm in March 2025 and found nothing there. We had to scramble and find something different on the fly in order to sleep that night. Compare the photos I've included here with the Google street view. No hotel is there as of March 2025.

Loved this hotel because it felt like staying in an apartment. It had a full kitchen and the decor was beautiful. Security was great and felt safe. The rooms were very clean. You can order breakfast every morning and it was very good. What I loved about this place is that it was right in the middle of the strip, surrounded by great restaurants, shopping, beaches and all the amenities that we needed. We plan on visiting Playa next yr. and staying at the Fifth Avenue .

Not sure why this small boutique hotel isn’t more popular? It is literally in the middle of the action! Right on 5th Avenue, 1 block from the beach and smack in the middle of the bustle and hustle of 5th Avenue! The hotel itself, is small, but the rooms are big and comfortable. Each room is studio style, as in they come with a small kitchen area (portable stove, microwave, kitchen sink, large fridge, pots and pans, etc). Also, they have rooms with balconies facing 5th Avenue!!!!! So, you can sit out there with your beer, just looking at all the action on 5th Avenue... you can see the beach and Cozumel!!! This is a steal for the price. This is my second time at this small hotel. This time around, we met Fernando, the front desk concierge. He was so personable and helpful, together with Claudia and the rest of the staff! The free breakfast included is so worth it!! Thank you so much for another great stay! People are sleeping on this great deal of a hotel! I will be back for sure.

We really liked to stay at Xtudio. It has a very good location in the middle of 5th Avenue, which means it's easy to come and go during the day. The rooms have everything you need. The service was excellent - very clean rooms and the staff was very helpful with everything. We especially enjoyed the possibility to go to the beach towards Tulumn. The beach there is absolutely fantastic! For 450 pesos you get a taxi drive there and back, chairs at the beach and you can use 300 pesos for food & drinks. Don't miss this opportunity!In Playa del Carmen we ate everything and no stomach problems! Mexico gave is a great holiday in so many ways.

We had a great time. My mom and I stayed in the Tanzanite room. It was very nice, we each had our own bathroom and bedroom and her room had a private balcony which unfortunately didn't offer an ocean view. The ocean view came from the balcony off of the kitchen which was very nice. The kitchen was nice and fully stocked, they kept bottled water in the fridge for us.||||There was a very nice living area outside our door that we had to ourselves. And there was a very nice view from the roof but we didn't take advantage of it because the view from our room was satisfactory.||||And there was a security guard in front of the entrance and the elevator didn't work without a room key so we felt very secure. Kinda felt bad for the security guard though, poor man deserves a chair.||||And Pablo, the manager was very nice and accommodating.||The only cons I would give is that they didn't provide breakfast but that wasn't a big deal because we were seconds away from all kinds of food options.||||You couldn't see the name of the hotel on the street so we walked right past it. The sign was up on the second floor.||||We were around a lot of night life, so there was a bit of noise at night but I had no trouble sleeping.

This hotel is in a super location. The staff is very friendly and they have the best roof top terrace. 2 to be exact. One over looking 5th Ave. and the other over looking the beach. Rooms were very quite and clean. Beds are great. You will feel safe here. The rooms are apartments with easy access. Also very close to the beach. I would definitely stay here again.

Stayed at this amazing place in the hearth of Playa del Carmen. The hotel has only few suites which is perfect to feel in an exclusive private place, no front desk to report every time you return, the suites are beautiful and well apointed, i stayed at the Diamond suite, amazing views, the rooftop a perfect place to see the night sky and enjoy cocktails. Huge rooms, kitchenet, fullsize refrigerator. Etc, etc, the beds are super confortable. Walking distance to everthing. Great service thank you RMD

We stayed in the platinum suite which is a 2 story one bedroom and 2 full baths. Impeccably clean,extremely accommodating staff and perfect location. Check in was very personal and we were greeted by name. They actually called us ahead to confirm what time we would be arriving. Despite being right on 5th ave. it was very quiet, it felt like stepping into a different world. Full time security at the door along with controlled elevator access make it feel really safe. I would not hesitate to stay here again.
