Staying at Hotel Interlaken, was a memorable experience, especially for the price.
First and foremost, the staff at Hotel Interlaken truly made me feel welcome. From the moment I checked in at the reception to my interactions with the restaurant staff, everyone was genuinely friendly and accommodating. They all spoke English fluently, which made communication easy and enjoyable. Their warm hospitality really enhanced my stay.
I booked a room on the 5th floor, which was located in an extended area of the hotel. One thing to keep in mind is that the elevator only goes up to the 4th floor, so to reach the room, I had to carry my luggage up an additional flight of stairs. While this wasn’t a major issue for me, it’s something to consider if you have mobility challenges.
The room itself was clean and comfortable, and the views from the window were simply magnificent.
I loved looking out over the beautiful scenery, which added so much charm to my stay. However, the only downside was that the bathroom was not en suite; instead, it was located outside the room, down an alley next to the staircase, which did give it a bit of a dormitory vibe. While it was a little inconvenient, I reminded myself that this is a budget hotel, and the price reflected that.
Another highlight of my stay was the location. Hotel Interlaken is situated in the heart of the city, making it very strategic for exploring the area. It’s within walking distance of the train station, which made it easy to travel and also close to the Interlaken Skylift station. This accessibility is a huge plus for anyone looking to explore the breathtaking Swiss Alps.
Overall, I had a pleasant experience at Hotel Interlaken. Despite the minor inconveniences with the bathroom setup, the friendly staff and great location make it a worthwhile option for budget travelers seeking a convenient base for their adventures in Interlaken. I would definitely recommend it to those looking for a cozy and welcoming place to stay.
