The prices for drinks were actually okay. This is what we got for a £24 cold cuts board. They may have a terrace but wasn't an open, anyway the view is mostly roofs of the neighbourhood, nothing fancy. You can access it entering Waterstones. It did got busy, but I would say if you're a tourist, it's not worthy. But if you work in the area, and only wanna have a simple drink, it is a good stop. The service was good, but I think they need one more person on the front.

Honestly beggars belief. Staff like prison workers - I asked if the hot chocolate came with marshmallows, she sneered and said “we don’t do that”. Reminds me of don’t tell the bride when the groom will book a horrible local sports pub and put a few table cloths on tables and pass it off as a wedding venue

On the 5th floor of a bookshop, what's not to like. There are couches and chairs throughout the store which were well used by potential clientele. Plenty of room in the bar/cafe when we got there at 1445hrs and we chose to be seated at the windows. Service was prompt, but not everything was on the printed menu, niether the carrot cake nor apple and cinnamon pie were there. Nice atmosphere, quiet, only two kids with maw and paw next to us and they were well behaved. 10% service charged added to the bill, when I asked if there was a tips jar the staff didn't seem to know what I was on about- maybe just my provincial West of Scotland burr.

It’s relaxed and peaceful here, and feels far away from the crowds of Piccadilly. We had a lovely afternoon tea with excellent avocado toastie. The scone arrived warm! Also included an exceptional ginger and orange cake, very spicey. All the other diners seemed happy too. It’s a great Waterstones store and our tea was a genuine treat.

This was touted for many years as a ‘window over London. A great bar to drink cocktails looking across the London skyline!’ True be told, it is a run down dump that feels like some 1970s cafeteria. The atmosphere? Well there is no atmosphere! It took ten minutes for a waiter to even walk over and only 10% of tables were being used. The bill was astronomical. The first bill was incorrect, the final bill was £20 for an average medium white wine and a Meantime Pale. The same beer was cheaper at the Intercontinental on Park Lane!! Avoid at all costs!

The service was good, the food was alright, but the cold in this store is horrible. I couldn’t sit there for any longer and had to leave because of how cold it was and at one point I couldn’t feel my leg, I was hunched over my tea to stay warm. When I asked for someone to turn the heating on they said they don’t have heating. It was miserable and won’t be returning until they add some heating.

Gave us menus and told us to sit at any table (the place was mostly empty) and then we were ignored for more than 20 minutes while all the while, three other parties came in, sat and the waitress took their orders. We were completely ignored like we weren’t even there so in the end we stood up and left and no one even bothered to ask why. Terrible… I was trying to figure out why we were ignored but really the only reason I could think of was because we were foreigners. Then again this is London so it shouldn’t be such a problem… All in all terrible service

We stopped off here for drinks on my son’s birthday after visiting the bookshop (he’s a bit of a bookworm!). Tom in the bar took such good care of us, made it a such special experience, it really made our day! Thanks Tom!
