Yelp
It was fantastic! Friends of ours had been here for dinner and I noticed they were open for brunch on Saturday and Sunday. This is a Spanish influenced restaurant with many great tapas available at night. For brunch they have some great traditional brunch items. My mother enjoyed the apple fritters with apple cider honey for dipping. They were so good we did not have a chance to try them. My goodness the honey was good. My wife had the eggs Benedict and it was one of the best versions she has ever had. The hollandaise sauce was exceptional. My brother, and I, both opted for the corned beef hash with eggs your way and toast. Again, very, very good. We loved it and can't wait to go back for dinner..

Yelp
INCREDIBLE! Our favorite place to dine in Fairhope, especially when we want to splurge. Excellent service, a fabulous menu that's always evolving, and top-quality ingredients. You need reservations, as they usually stay packed, and you may have a limited time to keep your seat, but they are very accomodating and flexible. Great family-owned restaurant.

Yelp
We decided to eat at Plane and Level on our weekly date night. It occupies the old Camelia Cafe building, and it is very similar in ambiance, IMO. We started with the Baked Oysters and they were solid but not incredible. In old recommend them if you go there, but there are better baked oysters at a dozen other locations on the Eastern Shore. Just my opinion again. We also ordered the double fried potatoes, and they were okay. Not great. They have a ham on the bar that is supposed to be the best ham in the world. It is priced at $30/Ounce. We had some....I don't get it. It had very little taste. I think it's a gimmick. Anyway, it's priced way too high, and the food is average judging by what we ordered. I can't recommend this restaurant. There are way too many options that are superior to Plane and Level. NOT RECOMMENDED

Yelp
Ended up here two nights in a row. The food was great but the team working there was wonderful & made for a very enjoyable evening. Didn't have reservations but the team was very accommodating and found a way to get us a spot while we had drinks across the street. Small restaurant with a few large tables for a bigger group. Sat at the bar one night and outside another. Both were great. Menu is what you would expect to see in a much larger city or in European towns. Blue Crab Ravioli- My favorite Wagyu Strip Steak Squid Ink Pasta Good wine menu

Yelp
Italian popup was awesome. Going back for seconds Tuesday (last night of the extended popup).

Yelp
Holy moley, last night at Plane & Level Coastal's Italian Pop-Up we were transported to the heart of Italy through a masterfully curated menu by Chef Orlando Amaro! Madisons' effervescent cocktail first set the tone. Highlights included the Prosciutto di Parma paired with crispy, creamy Cacio e Pepe Fritters and the luscious Carbonara, where al dente Paccheri Pasta and smoky guanciale were perfectly balanced with D.O.P Pecorino Romano. The showstopping Veal Milanese golden and tender, with arugula and sweet pomodorini, was rivaled only by the hearty Eggplant alla Parmigiana, layered with velvety D.O.P Mozzarella di Buffala and rich pomodoro sauce. Dessert was an unforgettable finale: silky Pumpkin Panna Cotta with spiced gelato and warm, pillowy Bomboloni con Nutella that felt like pure joy in every bite. Paired with a sip of zesty Limoncello and wines expertly selected by Josepha and Madison, the meal was a celebration of Italian craftsmanship and passion. Chef Amaro's pop-up is a culinary adventure not to be missed--buon appetito!

Yelp
Fairhope needed an upscale Italian restaurant and plane and level fills that! We are repeat customers since changing to Italian fare.

Yelp
Excellent food. Definitely one of the best restaurants no just in all of Alabama. First class food and service.

Yelp
I was looking for an authentic tapas place for dinner and found Plane & Level Coastal. Ambiance was great, music wasn't loud which I like, service was excellent. Food was incredible, definitely will be back to this restaurant!

Yelp
We had a table of 4 and ordered nearly half the menu. Everything was delicious! Staff is very friendly and accommodating too.

Yelp
My wife and I shared a papaya name entrée which was a catch of the day. Basically it was six medium shrimp that could not be peeled due to being cold and overcooked, and some type whitefish. I was told it was grouper but I'm not sure it was. I grew up on the bay not far from Fairhope and I've eaten plenty of seafood in my lifetime. It still had the dark meat on the bottom of the fish which gave it a very strong fish taste. All of this on a bed of San Francisco Rice-A-Roni for $80.00. I would have sent it back if I had known it was going to cost that much. The only thing good about this dinner was the dessert.

Yelp
Not worth it! The food is way overpriced and the service is subpar! The Iberico ham was stale and cut way too small, but I guess at $30/oz you have to cut it in tiny pieces. The runners kept dropping off food at the same spot and not trying to place it by the person who ordered it. Cannot recommend...!

Yelp
Outstanding food, service and great ambiance. You felt like you were in Spain . A thoroughly enjoyable evening.

Yelp
Buyer beware!!!! Excellent food and service. A delicious tapas experience. We ordered the rack of lamb special and it was $180. That's more than double the price of any entree. I hate feeling taken advantage of. I'll never go back!!!!. Dinner for two was $500. O don't pay that in Manhattan

Yelp
Had the opportunity to check out this brand new restaurant in Fairhope and I have to say I've been completely blown away. The best octopus I've ever had. The patatas bravas and oysters were also amazing. The chef even came by and said hello, he was extremely cordial. So excited to have this new great addition and I will definitely be coming back!

Ashley M.

Yelp
Wow, wow, wow!! What an amazing culinary experience. I've not had a meal like this anywhere in Fairhope. We ordered a number of the tapas dishes, which the sommelier expertly paired with delicious wines. The food was absolutely amazing and beautifully plated. The service was top notch! I have only had this type of dining experience in Europe and New York. We are so blessed to have this restaurant in Fairhope. I will absolutely be back!

Yelp
Outstanding food. They clearly know what they are doing. Seriously, with each bite of a different dish I just paused to think about it for a moment. Nice environment and friendly staff. Yes it costs more. It's also the best thing I've had in Fairhope. I don't get the few negative reviews.

Yelp
Instant new star of the Fairhope food scene. Great service, casual atmosphere, fantastic food.

Yelp
Everything was amazing! Food, Drinks, Staff, Ambiance a true gem for the area! We had good diverse tapas to taste and they all were delicious, we left full and happy...maybe the wine helped too!

Heather M.

Yelp
We were really looking forward as reviews were good. Very disappointing in all aspects. Ambiance and food were both very disappointing. Had octopus, filet, and a cheese board. Bright point was our server as she was very good. Would not recommend.

Apryle M.

Yelp
Food was great, menus had nice mix of dishes to choose from. The bread service was excellent! The olive oil to dip the bread in was great quality, it was incredibly flavorful. Our server was attentive, I was ordering a single glass of wine and she brought me a taste to help me decide.

Laura P.

Yelp
Dined here on Valentines Day Eve the bread service was with repeating and I loved the dip bowl so much that I'm looking to buy something similar. The Salt-Encrusted Fish was the star of the night. The ham croquettes, Waygu Beef Empanadas, Char-Grilled Oysters, Manzanas (apples) y Manchego were all very excellent. The wine list was as great as touted.

Yelp
This is one of the best places to enjoy a very good food experience. The staff is amazing and the chef stopped by and spoke to us. The food is amazing.

Beth R.

Yelp
The restaurant's decor is lovely, the service was excellent, and the food is outstanding. The small plates are perfect for two. Plus, they have a great wine list.

Brent R.

Yelp
Outstanding! Great cuisine. Excellent wine list. Service was spot on. You will not be disappointed.

MJ W.

Yelp
The food was extremely good but the A/C vents were so abusive that it ruined a great meal. I had the most delicious short ribs ever but the A/C made it cold after two bites. Shameful!

Tina M.

Yelp
Delicious food with a lovely aviation themed decor. Professional friendly attentive service. We started with cocktails- their versions of an Old Fashioned and an a French 75. So good we both got seconds. The Ensalada De Manzanas Y Manchego salad was beautifully plated and such great flavors, waygu empanadas with chimchurri so good, and seared salmon had a delicious crusty coating served over yummy spinach. We also watched Chef serve a rack of lamb to the table next to us. Quite entertaining. We finished with Flan that came with a light citrus whipped cream topping. Super delish. We'll be back soon!!!

Yelp
this place is definitely a 5 star restaurant. great service, great food and beautiful wines. Chef Orlando was gracious enough to stop by our table a few times to talk about the delicious plates that he made. Wow, this is truly a restaurant Fairhope needed for fine dining. Actually it's what Baldwin county needed. we will be back. Oh and Madison was fantastic.

Adaina B.

Yelp
So so so good. Food is delightful. Servers are very professional and knowledgeable about the menu and the venue. The tables are charming. Small place, so recommend getting a reservation in advance. :)

Yelp
The food scene in Fairhope has just taken a wonderful step forward with the opening of Plane and Level in downtown Fairhope, Alabama. My wife and I reviewed the menu online and were excited by what was on offer so we booked a table immediately. From the moment of arrival we were impressed by the friendly professional service which continued seamlessly throughout our dinner. Our server Mia was charming and exceptional in every way. She greeted us with a complimentary taste of a delicious Cava. After we studied the menu and enjoyed the Cava we asked Mia's help with wine selection. She was extrordinarily familiar with the wine menu and she recommended a wine that precisely matched the flavor profile I told her we prefer. We chose a flight of tapas including braised short rib, flavorful shrimp, an ounce of Jamon Iberico and bread service. The bread service was $10 and the ounce of ham was $30 so we paid $40 for a ham sandwich with one ounce of meat. The short rib, shrimp, wine and chocolate torte were all fairly priced and etremely well prepared and delicious. We have eaten Jamon Iberico in Spain and it was truly exceptional. The version we had last night was not. We intend to return to Plane and Level because the service is excellent and the chef is highly skilled and the ambience was very pleasant. We will skip the ham. We look forward to trying the Paella and several other items we did not try last night.
