I booked this hotel because it had excellent reviews, and I must admit that the hotel lives up to its good reputation. The location may not be attractive, but don't let that deceive you. The hotel is charming and has a cosy environment. The staff is very nice, and the restaurant serves excellent food. It also has a very spacious garage. Highly recommended.

I arrived extremely early in the morning after a long trip, exhausted and burdened with heavy luggage. Instead of making me wait until the usual check-in time, they graciously allowed me to check in several hours early. The owner, Luc, personally carried my heaviest bag all the way up to my room on the third floor and placed it inside for me. That simple gesture—humble, generous, and absolutely not required—said everything about the spirit of this place. Luc is kind, down‑to‑earth, and deeply involved in making sure guests feel comfortable, safe, and seen.The rooms are spotless and cozy, a perfect refuge in the historic Barrio Prado. The building has character and charm, yet everything is thoughtfully maintained for comfort. The rooftop terrace and views of Medellín make it easy to fall in love with the city, especially in the soft light of morning or evening. It truly feels like “mi otro hogar” – my other home.And then there is the food and drink. The on‑site restaurant is a gem in its own right. Every meal tasted fresh, carefully prepared, and full of flavor—more like something from a favorite local bistro than a typical hotel kitchen. Whether it was breakfast, a comforting coffee, or a proper dinner, everything felt divine, made with pride and love.61Prado really is Medellín’s best kept secret. It combines boutique‑hotel style with guesthouse warmth, and the people here set a standard of hospitality that many five‑star chains never reach. If you want to feel safe, cared for, and genuinely welcomed while discovering Medellín, stay at 61Prado Hotel. After my experience, I can honestly say: if you didn’t stay at 61Prado, you didn’t really stay in Medellín.

We stayed for a week and are so glad we did. Extremely friendly service, great food and cool roof top views make up for the somewhat shady location (but it is central). The hotel dogs, Mila and Julia, helped us feel at home!

I first arrived and Medellin in 2018 and I was lucky to find 61 Prado. Since then, I’ve been back to the hotel at least 20 times. And this last time I stayed five months. 61. Prado is not like a hotel. It’s like a home. Lucas and his staff are like family to me. The prices are extremely reasonable, I love the rooftop terrace and the restaurant is outstanding. I eat there at least twice a day, every day. And I love the rooms. They’re comfortable spacious and quiet. I sleep like a baby there. Really you must go and stay there if you’re coming to the city. Another great thing is that many international travelers stay at the hotel and I’ve made some very close friends. I can’t say enough about 61 Prado. I’m very thankful to have found it and more than likely. I’ll come back and stay another five months.
