We recently stayed at 62 Castle Street Boutique Hotel and overall had a very pleasant experience.
The interior design is beautiful, stylish and very functional. The room was spacious, spotlessly clean, and the mattress was extremely comfortable, which made for a great night’s sleep. The location is excellent — right in the city centre, with everything within easy walking distance.
There were, however, a few small downsides. According to the hotel’s website, bathrobes are included in every room. Unfortunately, there were none in ours. When we asked at reception, we received a rather evasive response and were left with the impression that since we booked the room at a lower rate, we shouldn’t expect them. That felt unprofessional and disappointing — guests do not set the prices, and the hotel advertises that all rooms have the same amenities, differing only in size.
Another thing to consider is the noise. Given the central location, it is understandable, but if you are a light sleeper or planning to return late and rest properly after a long day of sightseeing, it may be an issue. Earplugs are recommended.
Also, the fridge, placed right next to the bed, was quite noisy at times, which wasn’t the most practical design choice.
Despite these minor issues, we enjoyed our stay and would recommend the hotel, especially for its comfort, cleanliness and fantastic location and beautiful design.
