Google
A, quite frankly, sensational dinner at 64 Degrees. The tasting menu was brilliantly executed and being sat at in the heart of the action really makes for a wonderful dining experience. The chefs were fantastic and took time to chat and explain the dishes, too. You could feel (and taste) the passion. Personal highlight was the venison and birria taco dish which I can say was one of the best things I've ever eaten. The usual pairing wines weren't available but alternatives were well matched and complimented the dishes. The wine service was a tad slow but the house owned it and made up for it. A wonderful experience. Thank you.

Google
Nice food and quite reasonably priced for a tasting menu, though we were slightly disappointed that some dishes were served as a sharing platter despite not being that easy to share (e.g. a piece of fish in sauce). The service was very friendly and attentive. It is a small restaurant which is nice but can mean your experience can be heavily influenced by others Sat in your vicinity (e.g. if they are loud and/or onbnoxious). Not sure we would be going back given alternative choices in the area

Google
We went along to 64 Degrees for their pasta pop up and it was incredible! We tried 4 different pasta dishes with some delicious side dishes and all were amazing - though hats off to the lasagne! Will be returning to try the taster menu!

Google
Michael and team are masters of their craft and we were incredibly fortunate to pick their restaurant for dinner! From the sublime mackerel with apple and beetroot, to the spicy Korean chicken, to the rich brill and brown shrimp everything was amazing! I would say we would be back soon, but this was a special trip to the UK, to this special restaurant which hopefully tells you how good it is!

Google
Wow! So a friend and I stumbled across this restaurant as we were wandering through Brighton and we decided to stop for lunch! The food was impeccable, the flavours from each dish were literally mind blowing and we could see the love and attention Chef Michael and his team put into every portion. Exquisite dining experience, wonderful service and top notch culinary and presentation skills! Absolutely recommend! Can’t wait to go back. And I appreciated the consideration of the staff regarding my shellfish and nut allergies! Thanks so much

Google
Every dish was absolutely incredible. Fresh, delicate yet flavoursome and cooked to perfection. Favourites of the menu were the mushroom croquettes, cod and truffle pasta. Best restaurant I've been to in a long time. Would 100% recommend

Google
Absolutely stunning food in a lovely, cosy yet cool space, in a great part of Brighton. Chef Michael is supremely talented and a gent at the same time. Brilliant value for money in my view. Great staff as well. Anya - front of house. Charming and great knowledge of wine.

Google
Wow, amazing meal, inventiveness and great flavours abound. Virtually every dish left us wishing we had more. Service from staff was attentive and great wine list. Plus to top it all off the price point for this quality of food was great

Yelp
Worth a visit and best for a party of two to share the small plates! Big taste on small plate +'s: + Menu is evolving thus review limited to what was being served that day. Our choices of fish, vegetable and meat varied with success. For instance the John Dory fish with fennel and ragu with egg yolk over fettuccine was reluctantly shared. + Service is awesome. That meant the host greeted us and advised us of an opening that evening. Plates were cleared timely. Orders taken promptly. Dishes executed with precision. + Atmosphere is my speed. I like cozy. That meant 10 seats at the bar and perhaps another 10-15 on the floor. + Bar seating allows you to watch the chef and sous chef prepare the dishes. It's part of the culinary journey. Small taste on small plate -'s: - Not cheap. Each small plate ranged from 7-15. However we left full after sharing five small plates. - Some plates didn't come out as successfully as others. For example the beef rib was somewhat dry despite all the sauces. TIP: Reservations highly recommended. Seating is tight and best for parties of 1-2. Grab a seat at the bar if you want to watch preparations. TRIVIA: Michael Bremner's restaurant ranked #36 in 2014 and #24 in 2015 in the National Restaurant Awards Top 100 List.

Yelp
We couldn't book for ages so we settled for lunch... it was still incredible! First of all, we were a group of 5 that turned into a group of 4 and ran about 15 minutes late. We called ahead and the staff were all incredible understanding. The service was brilliant throughout the lunch. The food was also very very good. The serving style is slightly different. Instead of everyone order one main meal, the group (or individual) orders about 3x the number of dishes and shares. Such a good idea meant we could try almost everything on the menu. But fear not, if you want to come again, 64 degrees changes their menu (ever so slightly) ever couple of days to make the experience new each time you eat there. I have to say, the Scallop dish and also Tagliatelle with truffle was to die for. Honestly, if I could eat a full size portion of it for lunch every day, I would! They also serve a great variety of beers and special beers - all craft! They also serve wine and cocktails. The place is pricey and turned out to be about £150 (including 10% tip) for 10 dishes, two beers, two glasses and an apple juice. This was just enough for 4 people! The restaurant is also beautiful, very small and cute. There are not many seats which explains the long reservation wait time. But everything, down to the sink in the washrooms, is stylish. My mum (embarrassingly) asked where they purchased the dining tables! I will be going again and will bookmark 64 degrees!

Yelp
Great ambience in a small setting where you can see and smell the dishes being prepared. There were 12 items on the menu so we decided to try all 12 for our party of four. We were not disappointed at all. Enjoyed every dish which were full of flavor, contrast, and many layers of yumminess! If I lived in Brighton, I would eat here everyday! It's that good! Service was great as well.

Yelp
This place is right in the middle of the lanes of Brighton. It's small and intimate, with only a few tables and a good bar. For the 4 of us they suggested 10-12 dishes to share that they bring out steadily. Each dish was fantastic and full of flavour-our favourites were the pigeon and leek dishes. Fantastic environment and sharing makes it so much fun-perfect for couples or a close group! Would come again!

Yelp
This is by far the best dining experience I have had in Brighton. I went with 3 friends and we ordered all 18 dishes they had to offer! The beef gaspacho was the cream of the crop in terms of meat, the miso cabbage blew my mind and the scallops were cooked to perfection. I loved the fact that I was sat at the pass and could see the chefs at work, the kitchen is really cleverly laid out and I enjoyed the fact the chefs introduced some of the dishes to us. All of the staff were lovely and attentive, great décor, great music and atmosphere - could not recommend it more!

Yelp
Fantastic food, ambiance, and friendly staff. Recommend to anyone in Brighton! The scallops and pork shoulder were my favorite. Open kitchen and friendly chefs so definitely recommend sitting at the bar area

Yelp
This restaurant didn't appear on yelp when using the "around me" feature and it's rare we'll try somewhere without checking reviews first so after going in blind here, both my partner and I were pleasantly surprised with our find. Dishes are a good size, we were recommended 3-4 dishes, I ordered 4 and she ordered 3, 7 dishes total. Leaving us both completely stuffed. Our favourites were the scallops with miso and the potato knödel / cabbage dish, we were both taken aback with what the chef did with only cabbage and potato. This place only seats 24 and we were lucky to get a booking on the same day. We sat at the bar overlooking the kitchen and had our plates served by the chef dishing up. Over all the night was missing something although I couldn't tell you what, possibly the fact we were slightly rushed as our booking ended at 7:30 (sat down at 6, so make sure you have a good 2 hours). Pictures speak a thousand words so you can take a look for yourselves.

Yelp
I love it here, my wife doesn't, which is frustrating as I love to try lots of different things in small sizes in a restaurant. Cool little place, with a nice vibe, love the open kitchen and the fact the guys will answer any questions and are happy to just have a chat. One thing I really like is that they make the vegetables really tasty, to the point to where they are one of the highlights. I was trying things I'd never eaten before and I've never been massively into my veg but I was here!!! Another big fave was the gummy bear dessert. So refreshing and more-ish. Really keen to check out their London offering! A must try for Brighton (or visiting) foodies!

Yelp
The crispy and a bit spicy scallops root as starter. Not bad. Chicken with peanut source was the day special, cod soft and tasty. Creative food served by nice staff. Recommend the dessert lemon soba

Yelp
It's not often you get to order every single dish on the menu. But that's exactly what we did at this tiny but brilliant place in the Brighton lanes. The menu is split into three. Meat. Fish. Veg. And the portions are tapas sized. So with four of us there to dine and four dishes in each section we didn't think we were being too piggy. The other reason for ordering one of everything is that it all sounded so damn delicious and interesting. Pork, kimchi, apple. Scallop, spinach, turnip. Cauliflower, house egg, pangritatta. There's a lot on the menu that we needed to ask about. And the staff were only too happy to regale us. It struck us that the people running this place are really enjoying what they are doing. Each dish had something excellent about it. The partridge had been cooked sous vide for many hours and was fall apart tender with a rich unctuous sauce. The venison was like winter in your mouth. In fact it was all delicious. We ordered one more of the partridge and one more of two other dishes I can't remember but was spectacular. That was us just being piggy. The dishes require you to enjoy every morsel. They are creative, they are skilfully put together. They aren't for scoffing. But they are also a lot of fun. Nothing snobby or elitist about this place. No chin stroking. It's tiny and not exactly comfy but they've made the most of the inside and it's smart and welcoming. The only reason it doesn't get the full five stars is that some of the dishes were pretty hard to share which defeats the point of tapas a little. And the puddings seemed like an afterthought. Nowhere near as interesting and delightful as the mains. It's not often you go to a place that's truly doing things a bit different and enjoying it so much. Or where you can eat absolutely everything they have on offer. I reckon we spent about £50 a head which isn't cheap, but it is fair for the standard of the food. If you're after a bit of mindless eating this isn't the place for you. But if you're after something fun and exciting and done with real spirit then order one of everything and enjoy.

Yelp
64 degrees is a mix between a tapas bar and a sushi restaurant: they serve tapas size dishes and they prepare it in front of you as the kitchen is open to the dining room. The restaurant is small which gives an intimate atmosphere. Although it was full (Saturday night), it wasn't noisy so you can enjoy both your tapas and the conversation of your friends. Important note about booking: We booked 4 weeks in advance for Saturday night. You'll have the table for 1h30. I'm too lazy to go in details about the food (mea culpa) but it was brilliant. We had scallops, Ox tongue, sardine and Duck breast. For dessert, truffle ( lack some dark chocolate power but it's a question of taste) and the amazing plum, I didn't know that plum could be so good. I'm not gonna spoil the joy of discovering each flavor in these dishes. Go try it by yourself, it's worth the 35/40£ per head. What I prefer with the food is that they cook the main element (sardine, ox tongue...) on its own so you appreciate the real taste of it and around you have veggies and sauce-like-"emulsion" (I don't know how to say it in English) and special mash that would take you hours to try to reproduce in your kitchen. The mix is a real success: fancy cooking with real taste (and reasonable prices cos in Paris, a place like is much more expensive) They change the menu frequently: end of august we had salmon (delicious) and chicken wings. They are no longer on the menu. The only reason I didn't give 64 5 stars is the wine. The red Italian wine I had was bad and served warm! Wine is part of the meal for me, it influences the flavor of the food, and the food will give different taste to the same wine throughout the meal. When the wine list will be at the same level of quality than the menu, this restaurant will be worth traveling for.

Yelp
Best food I've eaten in Brighton for a long time. We had 7 dishes and every one had unique and interesting flavours. The sturgeon with pickled watermelon was exceptional, as were the three types of seaweed. The restaurant itself is small giving it an intimate atmosphere with a great vibe and friendly staff. My new favourite restaurant in town, can't wait to go back.

Yelp
We enjoyed world class cuisine at 64 degrees. Shared small plates are a wonderful way to eat, and to sample the full range of a Michelin chef's menu. None of us walked away saying anything other than "this was an amazing meal," but I can't give five stars for three (mostly small) reasons. We got rushed out. The wontons let the other dishes down. And, overall, nothing sprang up and entered our dreams. We loved our meal here and have no qualms about wholeheartedly recommending 64 degrees for a Brighton dinner.

Taras N.

Yelp
As there were four of us, we were recommended to order ALL the dishes off the menu (one of each) which we duly did. Though some of the dishes were truly exceptional, the one person who didn't truly enjoy herself was the birthday girl. Turns out she didn't like not having ordered dishes of her own (not that she truly minds sharing but with four!) and I get that so When I do go again I would prefer to sit at the kitchen table.

Jen S.

Yelp
Very fun dining experience. Nice open kitchen and staffs were accommodating. Some of the dishes were a bit too salty but will recommend this place to my friends.

Sharla A.

Yelp
Run, do not walk to 64 Degrees! This newly opened tiny restaurant has just a handfull of tables and a counter where you can see Michael Bremner and his talented team in action. The little tasting plates, changed weekly, offer fish, meat and veg categories. I wont bother to suggest one, because you could try every one and not be disappointed. How they work this magic in such a small space is amazing. Its great entertainment watching your little masterpiece prepared before your eyes. No reservations here. Don't waste any more time, just GO! I live in Italy and I will fly there for another meal, I swear!

Ben D.

Yelp
Great restaurant nestled in the lanes! So quaint with barely enough room to seat 20 but that adds to the vibe. Great food, and the staff were incredibly helpful. Really cool to see the chefs at work! Book in advance as limited space.

Rosa W.

Yelp
The best food I have ever had. Staff are all absolutely lovely and really attentive. The chefs are happy to talk you though some of the dishes if you sit at the bar like we did. The (free) soda bread muffins and marmite butter was absolutely delicious and I definitely could have eaten about 10 of them. It is expensive but totally worth it for what you get.

Tristan B.

Yelp
This is my favourite restaurant in the whole of Brighton, the only thing from stopping me from going every week is that you have to make a reservation 1 month in advance. The food was amazing especially the truffle tagliatelle and they change the men every day, the service was great, once your inside and sheltered from the rain you won't want to leave.I went with 4 people and they recommend 10-12 starters to share with is 3 for every person which add that tapas bar feel.

H B.

Yelp
Very hit and miss. Had 6 truly brilliant dishes one evening, then went twice more and it was poor to average.
