My wife and I like shopping for unique brands when traveling. 66 North might be the coolest one we've come across. She's a runner and loves the red jacket (seen in the pic) to run in. I picked up the gray wool jacket with hood - feels like a glove. Well made product.

While working in Iceland I got from my employer a gift card which allowed me to spend about 200 dollars (equivalent in icelandic koronas) in 66North store. I heard about high quality of their garments, however price tags on those pieces were intimidating, even when compared to expensive Patagonia, Fjallraven or Arcteryx. But apart from that I must admit that I loved the design and marketing strategy of company: local, low-volume production, cutting edge technology, exeptional brand image. I decided to buy polartec fleece jacket called Tindur Shearling Jacket so I used my gift card and paid excessive part of the price in cash (it cost more than 250$). The quality of the jacket was shockingly bad, or to be more specific the quality of polartec fabric. After few weeks of light usage fuzzy structure of shealing material looked like ruffled and heavily worn. Unfortunately I travelled back to my hometown and trying to use warranty was a lot of fuss. I still like how 66North designs their clothes, but price to quality ratio is just ridiculous. In my opinion it's rather a fashion clothes company that pretend to make quality outdoor pieces. In fact it's miserable or in best cases just mediocre. Stay away form this brand if you respect your money.

Bought the 66 north backpack a few months ago, and been using it regularly. The quality of the backpack is extremely poor, and it started to break at the seams after only a few weeks of use. Tried to get the backpack fixed at one of the other locations, and they offered to repair it, but doing that + any shipping costs basically costs the same as buying a brand new backpack. So I highly discourage anyone to buy the backpack, and if buying any of their other products double check the quality.

I have been a 66 north customer for a few years, the fact is that I have to return a jacket and a t-shirt that fits me so big, and the shipping was to be paid by myself, it’s too expensive for a customer to send a package from Barcelona to Iceland to return 2 items.

I'd have to say nearly everything in Iceland is pricey, which is why this gets 4 stars as opposed to 5. We purchased a few souvenir items and have been pleased with the quality. But the prices are what kept us at bay from purchasing more even when we saw a few select items that we liked.

I love the company... But this particular store downtown doesn't have very much in way of selection. All I saw were winter jackets, windbreakers and a handful of other winter items.

Great experience and great products.. Also if they are really expensive it's worth the money.
