Hotel is in a great location in the heart of the city, easy access to local pubs and restaurants. The beds were comfy and rooms were kept cleanly. A big thank you to Marcelli for her amazing hosting, friendliness and helpfulness. She really improved our trip!

Yes, this hotel is ancient (over 400 years old) as pointed out in a quaint book available at the breakfast table. You'll be warned in an email before check in that there is no elevator and that it can be noisy. The soundproof windows that can be locked down do a good job but it helps if you enjoy the sound of people having a good time enjoying the musical venues at street level. The winding staircase (38 steps in all) takes you past rooms named for explorers, authors, and fictional characters from the Knights of the Round Table. The rooms are tiny with less space on one side of the bed to even leave your slippers. In place of a closet there are pegs on the wall to hold your clothing. Some bathrooms do not have a window but the one that did (our party had 3 rooms total) smelled very musty, even after leaving the window open to air things out.|Breakfasts were delightful with breads and cereal, yogurt, fruit, meats and cheeses. The staff were multi-lingual and very gracious.

Location is very central and convenient. Staff are friendly, room was clean and tidy, bathroom is modern, there is an AC unit and a TV. You cant hear the noise coming from the city. Absolutely recommended for someone visiting for a night or two. No wardrobes in the room but lots of hangers.

We recently stayed here as the last leg of our honeymoon! The hotel has a lot of history and is in an excellent location in the Latin quarter! Our room was quite small and decor was a bit outdated. The staff was friendly and helpful, assisted with carrying our bags up the stairs at check in, as there is no elevator. The included breakfast had a good spread to choose from and was included in the stay. The parking garage nearby, Spanish arch parking, which offers a discounted rate for hotel guests was so tight and difficult to navigate, at least for us Americans. You may want to consider parking elsewhere. They treated us to complimentary champagne for our honeymoon!

We stayed at this hotel for three days last November and had a great time. The place is charming and cozy, and the breakfast was really delicious – definitely a highlight! The rooms are a bit small, but it's the smallest hotel in the city, so that’s to be expected

The location of the hotel is brilliant right in the heart of everything I guess thats why the price was high.|If your unfit like myself do not book this hotel the stairs are awful 6 flights to our room,I understand it says the rooms are small but basically a bed thats it not even a bottle of water in the room.|The bathroom had the most horrendous smell coming in from I can only guess outside pipes or something thankfully we were checking out the morning that started.|Breakfast was continental basic, no cooked options, top tip BTW use apple cider vinegar and washing liquid mixed in hot water to get rid of the fruit flies all over the bread or just move the fruit.|We didn't mind the noise as we partied to later the first night second night chilled but the music played to around 4.30am I could still hear music in the distance |Then you have the street cleaners and bottle collection which sounds crazy the amount of bottles haha

700 year old building. So, very small room, no lift. Location was great but the street noise at night was like something I’ve never heard before. The hotel does provide earplugs. Seriously.

Avoid if you’re getting on in years !|We had to climb up 7 flights of steep narrow stairs carrying heavy luggage as there is no lift |Room tiny Blinds not| Fit for purpose as let a lot of light in - waking us up about 5am |NOISE - it is situated on one of the busiest streets in Galway with deafening live music until 1 am and then general crowd chatter- they do provide earplugs though!|The shower is just a head stuck on the wall - water was a lukewarm dribble until our last morning when it was a scalding hot dribble - with no working thermostat so had to abound on or risk getting 3 rd degree burns !|I did tell the woman in charge but at first she pretended she didn’t understand and then just shrugged !

Yelp
If you are looking for an amazing hotel in County Galway Ireland. I highly recommend staying at 7 Cross Street Boutique Townhouse. Upon my arrival to this Hotel. I was made feel very Welcome. When I arrived. The Owners very kindly helped me with my luggage to my room. 7 Cross Street Boutique Townhouse is centrally located in Galway. As stated in the above I was made feel very Welcome. It should be noted I served all the World with the U.S.Marines and lived in the United States of America for over thirty years. I definitely know a great hotel from my travels and life experiences . I definitely will stay at this amazing hotel in the near future again. 7 Cross Street Boutique Townhouse rates Five Stars and more! you definitely won't be disappointed.

Yelp
Location location location! This mini bnb has history, character, and above all a great location to take in the sights of Galway. When we checked in we were shown to our TINY room which had a very comfy bed but was hard to maneuver with our luggage. The staff had thoughtfully left us a bottle of sparkling wine as it was our honeymoon. That night was a football (soccer match) with Ireland and Sweden and boy did we know who won. Though the match was in the afternoon, we were awakened at 1am by the shouts, cheers and songs from the pub below on the street. Yes our windows were closed. It was mildly bothering but mostly interesting....you have to have a sense of humor about these things. In the morning we went down to the breakfast room for a light continental breakfast and small chat with the girl who had been caring for the hotel (from Latin America). From the breakfast room we could look down on the busy street. I recommend this hotel for young people who need a good deal, want to be close to the action, and don't mind lugging bags up narrow stairs or having cozy quarters. That said it was a good choice for our trip and very welcoming.

Yelp
We stayed at this hotel two years ago. It was really clean, cute, very small, affordable, great location, parking nearby. No complaints. I will tell you this - we stayed on the 4th floor in a room that overlooked the pie shop across the street. My husband woke up in the middle of the night because he heard two women in our room, at the foot of our bed, talking to each other... about us. He's pretty sure they were wondering what we were doing, and if we were awake. When he opened his eyes and figured out where he was, the ladies were gone. We are convinced there were ghosts in our room. A couple of nosey ladies wondering who we were. No harm done, but an AWESOME experience as a whole.

Yelp
Hidden historic treasure! 5 stars for me because we loved the history and location!!! Just around the corner from the RIver Corrib, Spanish Gates, and Ard Bia (yum!!!). Beautiful river walk to the Galway Cathedral. Although you wouldn't know it the building is built in the 15th century, amazing! The age does explain the narrow steep stairs to reception and rooms (no elevator). The rooms are tiny but very clean, very reasonable priced, tons of personality and did I mention the location! Tricky to park but we lucked out with street parking following a bunch of one ways into town. Street parking is free after 6p and you can feed the meter or leave by 9am. We drove out and caught a ferry to the Inishbofin for the day and returned to stay an extra night! Again amazing location, great for walkers, amazing history and personality galore!

Yelp
If you're looking to stumble to a pub and crawl into a room smaller than a pantry then this is your gem. I would not consider this place "boutique" other than it's small. Hostel, student housing, dormitory, and eavesdropping on stranger's conversations from our room is what comes to mind. Check-In consisted of carrying luggage up two flights of stairs to have the receptionist holed up in an office playing on her cell phone and ignoring us until asked "are you the receptionist". Shown to our "room" which is smaller than a standard room anywhere, including a physician's office. No hot water from the bathroom sink, no space to store anything other than a small overnight bag, and no special touches that would make this place a unique or boutique hotel other than one reading the history on their web page. Granted our stay was for one night, but with the price of the room they must be charging to cover the cost of rent, nothing else. Proximity may be a selling point, but walking an extra few blocks to Quay St would be worth it to stay elsewhere. As a couple that travels internationally frequently we've had our share of great places and not so great places. This, unfortunately, ranks as one of the worst. Would not stay again nor recommend. If you're still planning to stay, bring earplugs, a night mask, and a prayer.

Yelp
My husband and I stayed at 7 Cross Street for one night (wish it could have been longer!) and enjoyed every minute. From the minute we entered, we received the best Irish hospitality we could have hoped for and were immediately greeted with fresh cups of coffee as we awaited our room being prepared. The history of the building and the area is fascinating! Rooms were small (as expected) but delightful with it being a boutique hotel, and each room was given the name of an Irish literary giant. Amazing location right in the heart of everything. Car park was located just up the road and was reasonably priced overnight. Breakfast in the morning was wonderful! Though the innkeeper called breakfast "continental" and was being very humble, we expected a small variety, but she completely outdid herself and the spread was fantastic! Not a full kitchen to cook a full Irish breakfast, but the food options were plentiful and delicious. She also had wonderful restaurant and area to visit recommendations. We plan on visiting Galway again someday, and this is definitely where we will be staying. Thank you for the wonderful accommodations!

Yelp
Stayed there the weekend following St. Patrick's day, was one room left that we got for 120 euro. Was so excited with how beautiful it was inside. Something simple and that's all we were looking for. Should have known from the get go something was wrong went to turn the ac on in the room and it didn't work. Asked the owner about it and she advised us to turn the heat to the lowest setting and the fan will kick on to cool it down. Unsure of that we listened, left and explored the town for hours. We got back super late got to the room and it was a oven in there. Asked the worker to help and he advised us to just open the window, asked for a fan and got told they didn't have one, just sleep that we would be ok. Tried to open the window but little did we know the bar across the street was a big nightlife bar so the music was going and you could hear the people. Needless to say that night had little sleep and really but a bad experience on our trip to Galway. So sad because we had such high hopes.
