The only word I have for this place is amazing. From the moment we walked in, the service has been absolutely outstanding—friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. The food is beyond delicious, full of flavor and clearly made with care, and the drinks are just as impressive. I’m actually writing this review while still sitting in the restaurant because I couldn’t wait to give this place the credit it deserves. Everything about this experience has exceeded my expectations, and we will definitely be coming back.

Server was not the friendliest. She didn’t explain anything and was short. I ordered cheese curds as an app and received them with my tacos. I didn’t complain but when our bill came I was charged the full price and was no where near what you would get on the appetizer. Very loud atmosphere, vacuums running the whole time behind the bar.

Great beer selection. Nice food options and great service. Good place for watching sports with multiple TV's

Great beer selection, disappointed that they only cook burger well and medium well. I don't like my burgers cooked like that so I ordered a pizza. Well the crust came out burned so apparently they over cook those also. My wife got a burger and the fries where cold...

Tue Oct 14, 2025; 6:30p - Seat yourself, No Happy Hour; server was immediate and followed up. Ordered One-Eyed Jack and fries (extra). Pretzel bun was warm enough and small as was the burger and one slice of cheese, one pickle slice. Meat was seasoned adequately. Egg was over done and yolk broken mostly under wax paper on tray. Restaurant was clean and updated with a large space that has potential for someone with a little imagination and marketing/event planning skills. Price: High for value received.

What a great place! We were coming back from our North Shore week and were looking for a place to watch the Iowa State vs Arizona game. Googled tap rooms and this came up and did not disappoint at all. Great beer list and Duffy was our waiter and provided the best service. Highly recommend.

Food was ok, but not great and expensive for what you get. You have to order your sides separately from your entree. I ordered fries for my side and was a little disappointed that the side of fries was maybe a small handful, shown in picture, granted I had eaten a few before snapping a pic. We also ordered onion rings which were very good and we got a decent amount.

Ordered the sugar daddy which was okay and got the jalapeño beer cheese wantons which were my favorite. The beer batter parm fries were my favorite

This was a fun spot! As starters, we fried the TAPHOUSE ROLLS - Reuben Rolls: Corned beef, swiss cheese, sauerkraut. Served with TapHouse sauce. It was surprisingly delicious and the flavor combination was yummy! I had the Whiskey Steak Wrap and it was really tasty! My husband had the Sugar Daddy Burger and it was fantastic. The service was friendly and prompt. This was a great spot with delicious food - we'll definitely come again when in the area.

Holly was my bartender. She was nice at first but then was kind of snotty the rest of the time. I was going to order food, and asked for a specific thing, and she gave me another option as well, which I didn't know they had because I didn't look that far. Instead of being polite and going through it quick, she decided to be rude and give tude. At least she had a decent butt..... I guess

Good atmosphere. Typically brew house feel. Food was good, especially the Ruben rolls and black and blue burger. Ate at the bar and served was rather slow and bar wasn't full.

Sorry. Just bad on every front. I got a margarita. Tasted like the mix from Costco. Regular fries that were all grease. I got the house cheeseburger that was literally meat, cheese, bread, no lettuce, tomato, etc. So drink, burger, fries, all really bad.

Casual atmosphere and great service at the bar. If you're an olive lover like me, try out the Cream Cheese and Olive Burger! Great selection of beers on tap - I discovered that I like Fulton Blueberry Sour.

Narrative: Craving a burger while on a work trip in the Duluth area. Food: Bar food staples with a fair amount of variety and flair added to it. Great burger list, I landed on their Taphouse Burger and a side of stuffed jalapenos peppers. Burger was good - the beer cheese and onions made a great combo. The stuffed peppers were done differently than what the menu stated which was a bummer because menu sounded great. Portion size was small for price point on the peppers too. I would probably just get fries next time around. Aesthetic: Sports bar with plenty of seating and extensive draft list. Service: My waitress was friendly, prompt, and checked on my table multiple times. No complaints. Price: The menu was semi - a la carte. You pay for your sandwich, side, etc. separately. It made things appear cheaper than reality but you could easily get two burgers (they trend on the smaller size) and a side of fries for under $20. I got one burger and probably would have ordered two if I was really hungry. Why You Should Go: Great beer list and tasty and unique burgers.

Great burgers! I got the 7WestOMG burger and it had cheese curds on the bottom with crispy bacon, it was delicious. I got the beer battered fries which were crispy, my friend got the fresh sliced fries which were softer. I preferred the beer battered fries. I got a side of seasoned sour cream for $1.69, great dip. For the 7westomg burger, beer battered fries and seasoned sour cream it was $19. The restaurant is seat yourself and the food came out very fast.

Food is good, tho if you can't handle spice, some of the entrees will fool you. One of the two best beer lists in town. (tho they don't make their own.) You can also ask if they have any beers that are not on the menu. I've found some amazing stouts that way.

Stopped in for a quick bite- excellent chicken tacos and tater tot nachos! Service was quick and friendly ! Very clean and cool ambiance .

I do not understand the bad reviews. We had the best service, the best burgers and the best time!! Such a hidden gem!!!! Fabulous, kind and friendly service. Fav: pb jelly sriracha burger for the win! And check out the candy store down the way!!

The food quality and execution overall seems to be suffering. I've had a few bad experiences in a row. I don't plan to go back. I got a burger on my last visit. It had a foul taste to it. I had to put it down halfway through, couldn't finish. I can't remember the last time I had to spit food out at a restaurant. It was either bad meat or a spoiled topping. I couldn't tell. To be honest I didn't care at that point. I was just trying to get over the nausea without making a scene. The seasoning I ordered for my fries was piled on one area of the fries with a full tablespoon or more, with none on the rest of the fries. They were so over seasoned they were inedible. I was also bummed to see that I had another table's order on my bill, which I had to ask the server to fix. The menu had changed recently to offer more non-burger options which looked good on paper but the bowl I ate a month or two ago was super bland and had odd ingredients that didn't seem to make sense. I asked for extra sauce and it was still pretty bland. The changes seemed like a good idea but the execution seems poor. Good beer selection. Apps are decent.

The service was amazing!! Megan recommended burgers that my husband and I both enjoyed!! The green olive and cream cheese burger was a walk down memory lane! A definite stop if you are in town!! My husband enjoyed a flight of local beers as well

A fun place for lunch or dinner in Duluth! This location is my favorite as it's so spacious and has such a fun atmosphere. The burgers are delicious, but I must admit that I am a huge fan of the chicken tacos! I always try a new beer from their outstanding selection whenever I can, too. One tip, if you're looking for an appetizer, get the jalapeño beer cheese wontons. They're so good! I already can't wait to get back!

The food was the best. I had the bacon blu burger at it was so good. Everyone loved it and there were only 2 to go boxes for my G-kids. The servicer was very friendly and attentive. I used my rewards card but I still came away with almost a ten buck balance. I don't get out as much as I used to but when I do, I always suggest 7 West.

Ah yes! Another great place to hand in Duluth! Great burgers, great selection of beers and terrific environment.

Really fun and adventurous place to eat. I tried the peanut butter, jelly, siracha and bacon burger. Very strange but also good. We also had beer battered jalapeno wontons that were to die for. Portions were good, price was affordable. They also have cool deals throughout the week that make for a fun date night. Not a drinker anymore but the menu looked great. Music was jamming and waiter was friendly and gave good recommendations.

Went here with my family while visiting Duluth. It came highly recommended in reviews so we decided to give it a try. We went on a Sunday evening and it was pretty dead inside which isn't usually a good sign. We sat down our waitress took a while to come greet us but she was very nice and did a good job. We ordered a couple appetizers jalepeno poppers and loaded tator tots., which were ok at most. My meal the chicken artichoke sandwich was the saddest thing I've ever seen served in a restaurant EVER! It was a dried up price of cardboard served on a stale bun. The one thing in the reviews that made us come here was how good the burgers were. You could sub chicken for any of them. Guess I should have stuck to that! My husbands salad had brown lettuce and the serving size was very small for an entree salad. Kids has chicken tenders with their "homemade" fries. The fries were soggy and flavorless. We would never go back there for the food. I feel bad because the server was really friendly, but I'm sure she knows the food sucks!

I am not one to complain or write bad reviews but wow- The worst burger and sweet potato fries I've ever seen. Did not even eat it and then paid for it. Do not recommend for their burgers or hospitality for that matter.

The best hamburger I have had in 40 years. Server was kind and informative. We had C A burgers and beer batter fries with parmigiana. It was DELICIOUS! Only negative was the beer could have been colder. We will be going back!

If the 3 of these in the area, this is the nicest we've been to. Convenient if you are up on the hill; good food and good beer selection. Happy hour starts at a good time and they do a beer du jour as well which is neat. Prices are a little higher on this side of the bridge but we find ourselves in this part of town just wanting a cold beer and app sometimes, so we'll be back. There was an issue with the ticket (charged $8 for a beer that listed as $6.50) but the server said he was sorry and went to fix it immediately. So, hit this place up, but make sure you check your bill...which you should be doing anyway.

Really disappointed in 7West over by Target. Everything was greasy! We sent the fries back! No seasoning and both orders were greasy! My wife's burger was good, my pizza was greasy as well. The waiter came by and asked how it was, I told him! I was expecting him to say he would take the fires off the bill... he did not! Very disappointed.

I've come to this location several times and will now pass in the future. Service has always been OK, rarely excellent, sometimes mediocre. I've experienced food consistency problems, though, which is a big deal in a food restaurant, because that's the whole point: Get food right! In the near past I got room temperature/cold fries with my burger during a busy time, so then my (perhaps overcooked; trying to please me or making a statement?) replacement fries came when I was nearly done with my burger. Burgers have been inconsistently done; this afternoon was the worst I've experienced in terms of being undercooked, as well as fries that were undercooked. See the pictures. That's not catsup beneath the burger; pretty chewy, too. The place was empty, so there was no rush; it was just a cook that didn't know how long to cook stuff. And to think that I stopped in unexpectedly to enjoy a late lunch afternoon treat. Big disappointment; why bother? Most evenings we've been in, many of the beers on the beer list are out; it's been a game to try to pick one that actually might be in. What's the point of having a beer list if every third beer is out? I've given this location many opportunities to keep me coming back, but I just won't bother now. I don't want to deal with it.

I had the chicken avocado tacos and they were delicious! Everyone working there was friendly and my food was served promptly. I will definitely be back!

Came here in my first time In Minnesota. Solid. Food was great, service was amazing and understanding, I would definitely recommend!

Another great meal great cider great beer but you have to bring back the green beans and pickles on your app menu. But like always good service and prices McDonald's costs more. Love this place perfect neighborhood bar

Nice modern bar and grill atmosphere. I got the southern bbq burger it was nice. I got the regular fries with Cajun seasoning, they were a bit flacid, but I tried the beer battered fries and they were nice and crispy. The service was great.

I am horrified I have nightmares about that Krampus statue. I now have PTSD when I see the tap house driving by my doctor now prescribed me to eat at McDonald's because it's on the other side of town. Food was good.

Don't go here for a decent burger. This review is specific to the Hermantown location. I can't speak to the beer or drinks as we skipped that, however I can speak to speed of service and quality of food. The server was decent - he kept tabs on us and made sure we had what we needed at all times. For 4:30 in the afternoon on a Saturday, however, it took a very long time to get our food and the burgers were chewy, which should not be the case for a burger. Not a place I recommend if you're looking for a good burger.

Came to 7West for a lunch with family. I wasn't really in the mood for a burger so I decided to go with an avocado bacon salad and added chicken. So, about a $13 salad. It arrived and I was not at all impressed with the size of it for the price. It was tiny. I ate a few bites, it was ok but I realized my bacon was missing. Um, that's why I ordered it. The waitress brought me a little cup of bacon, which made the salad better I guess. There literally had to be like 1 1/2 cups of lettuce and not a ton of toppings. My mom realized her tortilla strips were not on her salad. Two stars only for the atmosphere and service. Both were good. But the salad? Lame. Best salads in town are at Texas Roadhouse, and I'm generally not a fan of chains. Disappointed.

I chose 7 west to be my first night out since Covid began because I have been a loyal customer for years. Could not have been more disappointed! The smash burger was more like a smashed meatball and completely tasteless. The fries had more salt then potato. I think I'll keep cooking my own food.

Good Duluth Trailside Cider (Strawberry Basil). Had their Fish Tacos and sweet potato fries. They were good as well.

First time eating at this location. We usually go to the one in Superior. Same food but with pizza too. This location is huge compared to the superior location. Lots of seating with large and small booths and high tops. Tvs all around. Great specials. I thought the menu prices were great. All burgers are priced alone. Then you can add fresh cut fries or chips for $2.79. Or beer batter fries, sweet potato fries or tots. Then they add your choice of seasonings to them. I like the Cajun. Our server Eva was great. Service was quick and food was delicious. I always get the southern bbq burger with the veg patty. All burgers come with choice of beef, veg, turkey or grilled chicken. I wish I knew what kind of patty they used for the veg burger it is delicious. Restaurant and restrooms very clean. Crazy selection of on tap drinks. Including nitro coffee and root beer.

We are up for a football camp and decided to try a burger while my son is on campus. The burger reviewed well, I read a negative remark on the fries saying they were soggy. The service was great, it should have been on a Thursday afternoon! I've never had a burger come out faster and it was very good. Sadly the fries were terrible and they charge you an extra 3 dollars for them. I definitely recommend this place for a burger, just avoid the fries. Also a nice tavern atmosphere.

Stopped on a whim during the cold spell for lunch. Nice and quiet in there. Ordered a burger with some minor customization. Came perfectly cooked. Would stop again.

I loves me some french fries... and I loves me the burgers at 7 West ON SUPERIOR. This place has absolutely the worst french fries I've ever had. The fries were a big lump of greasy, undercooked starch. I asked for replacements. The next set of fries sucked slightly worse. The pushy waitress asked four or five times if my replacement fries were crispy enough, daring me to say otherwise. The burger had all the juice crushed out of it and was hard... crispy all the way through, almost like a burger flavored potato chip. I tipped accordingly. Order a basket of fries if your cholesterol has dropped dangerously low.

I have been there several times and never disappointed. Today I had a veggie burger and some beer battered French fries with Parmesan cheese. They were both delicious and a comparable price. Would recommend to anyone

Went there this evening with my husband and was extremely grossed out at the fact that one of the cooks constantly scratched his facial hair and did not have gloves on and then proceeded to touch and plate food. I've been a cook for many years and that was absolutely unacceptable.

Really like this place but tried to order Take-out tonight. Called a few times, no message on the VM. Drove there and all the lights were off, no sign saying closed. Bummer.

Great food and service! I had the Avocado Burger, cheese curds and unsweetened ice tea. Fast service and the food was delicious. Our waitress filled our drinks before even asking, which is my fav! Great place for lunch!

Service was FANTASTIC! Food- delicious. Gyro Pizza is really cheesy, I was not a fan, ask for light cheese if you're not a cheese person. But the jalapeño beer cheese sauce with fries. --really, how could it be bad. Delicious. The service made it the best.

Really like the place, but it was closed today and I had checked the hours online before going. No sign on the door or anything, which I find strange for a business to not do. Unsure if it is a Covid thing or lack of staffing (both understandable), but I would have obviously avoided the 40 minute round trip drive. My previous trip there was fantastic though! Peanut Butter and Jelly on a burger is great.

The beers are great and the service is awesome! My concern is we had came here the day before, and were so impressed we came back the next day. We all ordered the special again, but this time we got the taco special. It's supposed to be a Brat with various items. It was a hot dog not a brat. This still tasted great but not as expected. Everyone ordered Dill tots, which are awesome! They bring the food to the table and there are 7 tots dang near. The night before we had a pile of tots! What a joke! And the waitress just shrugged her shoulders.

My new favorite place in town. Good food and great service. This was my 3rd time to the Miller Hill location. I ordered the Poutine burger. Cheese curds, fries and two burger patties smothered in brown gravy. My only complaint is that the gravy was extremely bland. Other wise the burger was cooked to perfection. The other thing I love about this place is the rotating taps. I tried the ciderboys strawberry cider. It was really good. Not to sweet. Our server Kaitlyn was awesome. She had a ton of other things she was doing but made sure our group and others where well taken care of. Didn't get to the bottom of our drinks and she was there making sure we where okay. I will continue to return to this location over the one down the street from my house.
