I didn’t want to leave! Richard, the owner, and his team run a first class operation… The rooms are beautifully appointed, the patio/fire pit are perfect for any time of day and I loved learning the history of the location. Just at the top of Main Street, it’s an easy walk anywhere in town… If I could give more stars, I would. Thank you, 76 Main, for a wonderful 3 days!

My wife and I spent our 45th wedding anniversary on Nantucket, lodging at 76 Main. We are more than please with our stay at 76 Main. The room was very neat and clean and had all the amenities we needed in the room. The General Manager, Richard, was a true gentleman who spent time giving us tips on where to eat and what to see. The location was great as we walked to all the restaurants and the harbor was a stone throw away. There was a breakfast spread each morning and snack spread in the afternoon. We will stay at 76 Main if we go back to Nantucket.

Dan and I had the perfect honeymoon celebrating in Nantucket at the 76 Ink Press Hotel! You absolutely cannot beat the location and value for the price we paid. Upon arrival, the staff were already made aware that we were on our honeymoon and made us feel super special walking through the door. When we got to our beautiful room, we had a sweet handwritten note for us alongside a bottle of wine. You definitely have to take advantage of "cocktail hour" down on the main floor. Dan and I had a blast making our own fancy cocktails and then enjoying them in the garden every evening before dinner. I have very few complaints but I want to note that our shower never stayed warm/hot and would often completely lose pressure but other than that we didn't experience any problems We are already planning our next trip for the same time next year!

Beautiful B&B in excellent location. Staff was very attentive, friendly and knowledgeable. Very quiet and the bed was super comfortable. Afternoon snacks and drinks were a nice and welcome perk. Will definitely recommend! Hope to be back soon!!

We had a great stay at 76 Main! The staff was so welcoming, and we enjoyed breakfast & the outdoor fire at cocktail hour. Location was perfect to walk around town. We will be back!

We came to ACK for our anniversary. 76 Main was fantastic. The room was clean and comfortable. The bathroom was big. Coffee juice and light pastries were put out each morning. We used two beach chairs. The location was great, very close to town. Richard was wonderful to us and Devan and Maddie were super helpful and knowledgeable about where to go and where to eat. Their recommendations were wonderful and they were all very talkative and super friendly. We will be back to 76 Main

Our third-floor room was very nice with a queen bed. It’s one of the smaller rooms I believe, but it was one of the last rooms they had available. Everything was very clean and very comfortable. The bed linens were heavenly. |It’s a hefty walk up to the third-floor, but they were very kind to deliver our luggage to the room when it was ready, while we were at lunch. The most amazing touch was the coffee station outside of our room. There is one on each floor.|We didn’t find the breakfast or the happy hour byob to be very appealing. |Breakfast was grocery store croissants and poppyseed muffins . Based on the reviews, it looks like the breakfast was nice several years ago. We didn’t mind the Byob, but the mixers were basically Lacroix, tonic, A couple jars with olive type things. I think in the evening the fire pit should be lit to add to the ambience of a beautiful patio area. |But the Inn is very walkable to so many things in town for breakfast and drinks.|A couple blocks away, we did an NIT one hour bus tour to show us the other end of the island, as it was our first time to Nantucket. Where we picked up the bus tour there was a Wave bus station(right next to handlebar coffee ). They have cute little electric buses that are free and go everywhere on the island.|We also did Cisco, which is a brewery, winery, distillery. Just a fun place for cocktails and food trucks . They offer a free shuttle.

Yelp
We stayed at this bed and breakfast for 2 nights in the spring, and had a wonderful experience. The staff is friendly, welcoming, and helpful. We had to make a change to our reservation and they were able to accommodate our request. The room was small, but very clean, stylish, and comfortable. The patio area was very nice. The location was excellent and we were able to walk to or bike to anything and everything we wanted to on the island from here. The food was delicious as well. The staff was also kind enough to gift us with a nice bottle of wine in our room, as we were there celebrating an anniversary. Lovely experience and would be happy to recommend to others and return there myself.

Yelp
It's a beautifully restored captains mansion in a wonderful part of town. Restaurants and shopping is a stones throw away. In the evenings they have a little mixer which is great for socialising with other guests and their home baked cookies are delicious. It's a very intimate environment. My only issue is the shower head was absolutely terrible - I would go so far as to call it as one of the worst shower heads I have encountered. Front desk staff were nice. Umbrellas available if raining.

Yelp
Perfect mini honeymoon hotel. Super clean and inviting. Love the courtyard and private back decks!

Yelp
The hotel is absolutely beautiful and the location is amazing right in the center of town. Richard and Amanda the owners have above and beyond customer service to make your stay as comfortable as possible. They made us feel like family while we were there. We will definitely be back to enjoy our stay again!!

Yelp
Wonderful Nantucket Whalers Home renovated & decorated with charm & class. Lovely cheerful rooms, chic public spaces & luxe amenities. A marvelous breakfast rather European in feeling, a fun " happy hour" where you BYOB but they supply the mixers & bites to chocolates chip cookies, home made & topped w/ coarse sea salt- it's a quiet, stylish spot in ACKs most historic neighborhoods. They also own 21 Broad.. On Broad street- another winner. Check Out The Charm

Yelp
We loved our stay at 76 Main! Upon checking, we were told that they upgraded our room without a charge. This was a nice surprise as we were there to celebrate my husband's birthday. Everything is lovely beginning with the outside to the foyer to the sitting room to our room. You will find fresh baked goodies throughout the day and evening in the foyer. The sitting room was a great area to sit and read or just have a chat. There was a mixer that evening. Everything you would want to have in your favorite cocktail is beautiful displayed in the kitchen to add in your own spirits. (BYOB) We stopped at the package store just down the way and purchased Rose and whiskey. Our room was spacious with a king bed, chair, dresser, and side tables. Soft robes are provided as well as high end toiletries. Hangers and wall hooks are provided for hanging your clothes as there is not a closet. The bathroom was small with not much counter space. However, this was not a problem for us. We hope to return soon!

Yelp
My husband and I decided to stay at 76 Main the week after labor day for a little "babymoon". We booked about three weeks prior to our stay and had to move rooms which was not a big deal at all and the housekeeping made it as painless as possible by allowing us to leave our luggage in the current room and then moved it to the new one while we were out for the day. The location of the inn is perfect - it is just steps from town but still far enough away to ensure a quiet nights rest. We were told that there was limited parking, which was the case - but that it was not a big deal as busses ran cheap to all of the beaches and they would provide us with beach chairs and towels. Sounded like a plan to us! However when we arrived (as I mentioned the week after labor day) we found out that the busses had stopped running to all but one beach... felt mislead by inn management who obviously did not know what they were talking about. They did follow through with great beach chairs, towels, and an umbrella though which was appreciated. Not wanting to take cabs back and forth every day - we took the bus to the same beach every day. The inn was beautiful - you could tell recently tastefully renovated. I loved the back patio area where you could enjoy coffee , a nice book, or drink in the afternoon. Our first room was a deluxe king at the bottom of the stairs. This room had AC which made it very comfortable, and faced bushes which made it nice and quiet. The linen on the bed was incredible! I need to find out where it is from so I can also buy it. The inn is kind enough to provide water in the rooms and i pads to help you with your trip - nice touch. One piece of advice as to be expected in almost all Nantucket Inn's is that the bathrooms are tiny. Not just small but uber tiny. The stall shower we had in our deluxe king room was not pregnant friendly. I was uncomfortable showering every day and I think more water ended up out of the stall than in... Other gripes about the room include a very hard knotted rug under the bed. It hurt our feet just to step on it - rude awakening for a preggo who is up frequently through the night. A nice pair of slippers would have been appreciated to help ease the pain. The main light in our room would not turn on. When we asked management they told us it did not work due to an upstairs leak... The room was beautiful though, with a comfy bed, and actually quite spacious for Nantucket standards. The second half of the week we were upstairs in a queen room, number 8 which was lovely as well with the exception of the temp. There was no AC in this room and the windows were forced shut so that we could not open them... strange. There was no way to manage the temperature in the room and it became very hot overnight. Not wanting to wake anyone up I told Katie the next day - she fixed it as best she could. Family tip - they have guest houses removed from the main inn, which are great for families and come with a mini fridge. Breakfast was ok each morning - they had the same types of muffins, scones, cereal, and juice - which were tasty. Some mornings the breakfast was not out in time for when they advertised, which was annoying as we paid for it, and had some early morning tours - lighthouse and boat trip that we were counting on a quick breakfast for. For coffee they had k-cups... huge disappointment - this is what we have at home. I would much prefer a fresh brewed cup then out of a cup that I get at home on a weekday. Also disappointing was there was not the standard afternoon coffee, tea, and snack that every other inn I have ever stayed at offers. Overall the management seemed tired and over the summer season, which was quite a disappointment for our only trip this year. Katie was ok, and was really trying. But the male manager seemed awkward and non-chalant about everything. Based on our experience and number of choices on the island we will most likely not be back.

Yelp
I stay in B&Bs often, and usually on the high end. While everything at 76 Main, from the delightful and creative breakfast, to the high quality linens, to the tastefully and nautically decorated rooms, to the beautiful house itself, is terrific, it would be nearly impossible to overstate the warmth and attentiveness of the staff. I ended up at 76 Main as I was injured and thereby stranded on the island, unable to travel for 4 days. During that time, everyone was unfailingly helpful and always asking what they could do to ease my pain. From laundering my clothes to bringing me food, they were always there. If you find yourself visiting Nantucket, this is the place.

Yelp
stayed in this well designed boutique hotel at the top of main street while some other friends stayed at the sister location, 21 broad (a little closer to town + offers more rooms). we actually preferred being a bit off. was quiet vs. other which was next door to a popular late night bar. we were able to visit each location which was nice. just a quick five minute walk from one to the other. both have common areas with stuff like games, a record player, outdoor courtyards with lounges + modern fire-pits. our location offered beach chairs + towels that they let us share with our friends. the staff flip-flopped from each location too so wherever we were they new us. the managers, daniel + corrine were spectacular along with everyone else. always friendly, offered suggestions for restaurants, assisted with transportation, and/or whatever we needed (even before we booked). would recommend suite 15 on the third floor. because it is a renovated house, you can hear everything going on. didn't bother us though. small reading room off the bathroom was cute + sunny in the afternoons along with a cushioned window bench that over looked main street. only a few sugfestions to make the stay even better... #1 change plastic curtain on already xsmall shower to glass door (although skylight was another nice touch, extremely needed), add a soap dish for the sink counter, fox ice machine on second floor (was fine going to the kitchen, but closed at 10pm). other then that, a wonderful place to stay. would highly recommend it!

Yelp
My husband and I just returned from a 5 night stay at 76 Main and could not be any happier with our visit. I felt Nantucket was exceptionally humid and warm, but our room (#1) was always cool. Even though it's located right at the front door, we were never bothered by outside noise. The room is gorgeous with the most comfortable bed I e ever slept in. The sheets were soft as butter and the down pillows fluffy. Breakfast was just perfect. Small dishes of cheese, oatmeal, sticky buns, fresh tomatoes, and quinoa were just some of the options which change daily. Fresh juices and brewed coffee also available. My only tiny complaint would be the shower. It's small, and hard to shave your legs in. However, I would stay here again in a heartbeat!

Yelp
My second time staying at this charming Lark Hotel, 76 Main Street. The staff Ryan and Jeff particularly went above and beyond to accommodate my party for the Christmas Stroll this past wknd. The room was immaculate and the beds were beyond comfy! The location is phenomenal and I highly recommend staying at 76 Main Street in Nantucket!!

Yelp
Just got back from a long weekend honeymoon and loved staying here. Perfect location and they upgraded our room for us upon checking in as a honeymoon gift. Great breakfast, beautiful back area to hang out in. Everything felt extremely safe and clean. We will 100% be back.

Yelp
This place is a gem! The amenities are high-end, the customer service is exceptional and the location is PERFECT. My friend found 76 Main and recommended a give it a try- I was in town for three nights in July. I was blown away by the service first of all. The staff was attentive to my needs and made sure my stay was incredible, something that is hard to find these days. Secondly, the rooms and the furnishings were very impressive. Apparently the Inn was just remodeled; it looks like a bunch of money has been put into renovations. (Breakfast was delicious!!) I strongly recommend staying here! Out of the 5-7 places I've stayed on the island, this one is the nicest...by far.

Yelp
Visited 76 Main for a 3 day stay. Enjoyed the stay very much. They have a very peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. The staff was very pleasant and helpful and Dan the front desk manager was very friendly and always went out of his way to make sure our stay was pleasant. Would definitely go back again.

Yelp
Great location...quiet night's rest. Didn't eat breakfast as I don't love cereal and the room looked tiny. The bedroom, well think gramma..percale old flowered worn sheets and bright pink towels. Also we were asked not to open the window as he has central AC. We both were SO hot at night. I need fresh air but abided by his request. I did appreciate that beach towels were plentiful. He also offered storage for early check in and late check out. Wouldn't say don't go but I would like to try other places. Again the location is great.

Yelp
We stayed here the first weekend in June and the weather was freezing and often raining but the atmospheric warmth of 76 Main was great compensation. Dan and Korinne could not be lovelier and more accommodating. The decor is beautiful and comfortable though the rooms and bathrooms are a bit tight in space. Some more surface tops in the room might be helpful. Breakfast was divine and outdoor courtyard and fire pit was very inviting. Loved the location as well.

Yelp
The Yelp Map location is not correct, this place is right downtown, not way out on the East Side. Recently renovated, everything is brand new with high end finishes. Very clean, very good service. They have beach towels and chairs (and probably other things) available for guests. The rooms are a bit small, but the courtyard was great and served as an extension of the room (we were in the bungalow out back).

Yelp
Can't say enough good about this bed and breakfast. My husband and I went to Nantucket for the first time this past weekend and we can't wait to go back. The bed and breakfast was tastefully decorated, very cozy, had the best staff and the location was perfect for us. We stayed in the guest house and had our own private patio with a fire pit. We brought our own supplies to make smores! It's barely a block away from all of the shops and great food. And just a 10 minute walk from the ferry terminal. The only slightly negative thing I have to say is that the rooms aren't really sound proof so in the morning you could hear everything that went on in the guest room beside us. All in all it was such a romantic weekend away and we would definitely stay here again.

Yelp
Excellent boutique inn well located at the top of Main Street. Very nicely renovated rooms. Excellent and friendly service. Delicious and creative breakfast.

Yelp
Been coming to Nantucket all of my life and was lucky to return this past summer and introduce my California Husband to one of my favorite places in the East Coast. Stayed here after the 4th so it was still sold out but the Island wasn't as packed as it could be.. Hotel is located right downtown and is an easy walk from the ferry. My husband and I are both tall.. I'm 5'9 and he is 6'4 so this hotel was a little challenging for us as its one of the older buildings on the island. We reserved a courtyard suite with our private backyard and fire pit which was nice but not really necessary in July LOL. The height of the ceiling in our suite was low and my husband had to duck to enter the bathroom and hit his head more than once during the night.. We loved that the BYOB bar was right next to our room for happy hour each night.. Great selection of mixers to create the perfect cocktail! Finally breakfast each morning was a simple but yummy affair. It's included with your reservation and the scones are to die for.. Think I ate 4 a day.. Good selection and was able to create a tray and bring it back to our room. Staff was great and did everything they could to make our stay unforgettable! Had a wonderful time and look forward to returning!

Yelp
I stayed at 76 Main for the first time ever this past weekend. This was also our first trip to Nantucket. I had booked this hotel back in June, well in advance, as I knew the holiday weekend would be busy. In terms of location, appearance and cleanliness this would be a 5 star. However, the management of the hotel has major issues with regard to customer service and I give it a 1. We arrived around 7:20 pm and there was no one at the front desk. We had to walk around to find someone to check us in. Once we found someone, he immediately proceeded to answer his personal cell phone prior to helping us. He then began the check in process and answered his personal cell phone TWO MORE TIMES during our check in. He then tells us we are in Room #2. Our reservation was for Room #7 and I showed him the print out. He then tries to tell us that #2 is indeed #7 and that the "website is wrong". This was a pretty big deal as #7 was upstairs, #2 was on the first floor which we did not want. Room #2 (or is it #7??), while very nice, is in the most horrible location in the entire building. You are at the bottom of the stairs, sandwiched between the kitchen and the check in desk. When the door is opened anyone coming in the front door of the hotel can see right into your room. The hardwood floors creak, and you can hear every conversation happening at the front desk and people walking by. It has one window which looks out on the main walkway to the back cottage rooms. If you hope to enjoy a "romantic" weekend, do not stay in this room as you have zero privacy. We were extremely displeased with the room and asked to be moved. The attendant couldn't help us with this and proceeded to call the manager. The manager comes over and tells us he can't move us because he doesn't have any other Deluxe Queens available. We said we'd be willing to take any room, even a smaller one, in order get off the first floor. He said they were fully booked and nothing could be done. I then asked if everyone else had already checked in. They had not, but he still refused to give us a different room. At no time were the words uttered "what can we do to make your stay better?" My husband inquired about giving us some money off the room, which I note was over $200 per night. He said he had to talk first to his co-manager. He consulted with her and again, they refused to do anything. This is the first time I have ever experienced a hotel that was unwilling to do something - move the room, take some money off, send up a bottle of wine, something. Horrible customer service and I told the manager we would not be back. He didn't seem to care, and why would he? They make money hand over fist in the summer season and were still doing pretty well off season. This is also supposed to be a bed and breakfast. Breakfast is all cold - cereals, yogurt, etc. We ate there the first morning and then the second morning went out for a real breakfast which unfortunately was insanely expensive as it is Nantucket. The outdoor mixer bar is nice, but we were under the impression that it was staffed. They simply put out some plastic glasses and sodas and you have to find the ice, etc. and fend for yourself. In addition to posting this review, we will also be contacting Lark Hotels, the corporate owner of the hotel to make them aware of the terrible customer service being offered at this property. As a side note (not the property's fault) the church bells next door peal out SIXTY (yes that's 60) times every morning at 7am with the exception of Sundays. Its a tradition dating back to when the bells were to signal people in town that it was time to get up.

Yelp
Great location, steps from the heart of town. I notice on other sites that the owner, David, gets a drubbing. It's a b&b not a hotel so if chatting with the owner is not your thang, stay elsewhere. Cld I have used a little less David at breakfast? Yes. Did it spoil my trip? No. Good price, nice quiet, comfortable room, great spot, would love to go back.

Yelp
We just got back from a wonderful stay at 76 Main. The building is beautiful and the rooms are very attractively decorated (especially the beautiful courtyard), but what really made our stay was the wonderful staff and all of the extras the hotel offers. Each morning, we woke to a breakfast of freshly baked scones and muffins, as well as spiced fresh fruit, cheese and nuts, as well as yogurt and cereal. In the afternoons we had freshly baked cookies. Coffee and tea were always available, and they put a new bottle of water in our room every day. A fun perk was make-your-own cocktails in the courtyard every evening. They put out mixers including yummy watermelon rosemary lemonade and several homemade simple syrups, and we bought a bottle of bourbon at the liquor store down the street. They also put out spiced nuts to snack on. The couches, chairs and fireplaces made it a wonderful place to relax and chat with other guests. What a great idea! In addition, all of the rooms had free wi-fi, a loaner iPad and Apple TV. They have beach chairs, beach bags, and beach towels for guests to use. We had a problem with our shower one evening, and they had a plumber there the next morning to fix it. Also, my husband asked about plain simple syrup (they had flavored syrups), so Korin made him some right away. It has a great location just a block away from the shops and restaurants, so it was easy to walk everywhere. The rooms vary in size, so read the descriptions on the website. We will definitely be sure to check out either 76 Main or their sister property 21 Broad the next time we go to Nantucket, and we look forward to staying in other Lark properties in the future.

Yelp
This place was absolutely beautiful. The rooms are clean and very tastefully decorated. It is right in town so it is very convenient for shopping and dining. The outdoor patio was my favorite part. It is BYOB but they have mixers and garnishes, and even a drink mixing book. Oh, and a fire pit if it cools off at night. The staff was very helpful and accommodating. I'm in love.

Yelp
Barbara, Jeff and the rest of the staff made for a most lovely stay. Hospitality, accommodations and staff that make for a top notch experience. The experience at 76 Main was the cherry on the top of a place that I call "A Slice of Special", Nantucket!

Yelp
We stayed at 76 Main last weekend (mid-Sept 2014) and absolutely loved it! The inn is beautifully decorated, clean and in the most perfect location! We especially enjoyed the baked goods for breakfast and cookies in the afternoon! We highly recommend this boutique hotel to any couples visiting Nantucket!

Yelp
We stayed at 76 the week prior to July 4th weekend. We were introduced to the inn keepers, Corinne and Dan and went to our rooms. The inn itself is cozy and laid out beautifully. For happy hour, they have an outdoor area where they put an assortment of drinks and snacks that you can have. Bring your own alcohol and you can mix as you wish. Really a wonderful setting and everyone seems to do it. A great opportunity to meet others. We sat their both nights talking to strangers. It was lovely! The night we were there, around 3am, the fire alarm went off. We left the room and waited for others to join. However, we then realized that the alarm going off was in our room only! We called Dan, and he came running. It shut off quickly, and we went back to bed. The next morning it did the same thing, but again, very briefly. Corinne and Dan assured us that they would get it fixed prior to the second night, and we knew they were on it. When we came back from a wonderful day exploring, we met Corinne in the lobby, she explained that it was all fixed, and gave us a gift certificate for a FREE night stay! Absolutely above and beyond what we would expect. Maybe a bottle of wine, or dinner out, but this was amazing! They really care about their guests, feed them in the am with a beautiful array of food, cooked that morning, and take care of the inn impeccably. It is the perfect location and we just love 76 Main and can't wait to go back next Summer. I highly recommend staying there.

Very nice and convenient inn near the heart of downtown Nantucket. Would highly recommend to anyone!

Yelp
We came to Nantucket for my Bachelorette party in July! We loved this b&b. We were in the bongalows, not the main house which was perfect. We had our own private entrance so when we came in late we didnt disturb anyone. The courtyard was nice and peaceful and David, the owner was very very nice and helpful. I will definitely be back. The rooms are nice and the location is spot on!!!

Yelp
My wife and I stayed at 76 Main this past weekend and it was fantastic! You can't beat the location - right in the heart of downtown. The inn is beautiful and unique - our room (15) was exceptionally comfortable. The recent remodeling uses modern finishes in a distinct Nantucket style. The staff were extremely helpful in recommending things to do and were all very friendly. Each room gets an iPad which is preloaded with tons of Nantucket favorites which helped us plan our days. We especially loved the courtyard space with the fire pit where we spent a nice romantic portion of our evening. Highly recommended!

Yelp
We had a great time at 76 Main this weekend and can't wait to come back again. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Amazing location.

Yelp
Tropical storm Jose kept us at 76 Main for a few extra nights and the staff was very accommodating. Very cozy rooms with great common space, and a lovely breakfast. Would definitely visit again!

Yelp
We cannot say enough amazing things about 76 Main! The two of us stayed there from June 8th to June 10th of 2015, it we truly mean it when we say it was the best hotel experience we have ever had!! (& we love to travel). The hotel itself is a breathtaking vision of what Nantucket represents. It maintains a sense of historic architecture, yet is incredibly comforting and modern. The place is immaculate, and very up to date. The beds are super comfy. We stayed in the main house, and LOVED the smell of freshly baked cookies coming from downstairs all throughout the day. The best part about this hotel is certainly the service you receive. Dan, Korin & the amazing staff (especially our pal Thomas!) do an amazing job at making sure everyone is so very welcomed. When you check in, you're greeted with an iPad that has a bunch of restaurants, beaches, rainy day ideas, and transportation services all programed in! If your timing is right, you'll even get an amazing fresh baked chocolate chip & sea salt cookie! Their breakfast is amazing and all home made, their cocktail mixer bar in the early evening was so very inviting, we actually made friends with another couple (hi Brandy and Andy!) and they kept the mixers coming much later than scheduled! There are complimentary vineyard vines beach bags already loaded with towels for you to take to the beach while you stay there, as well as umbrellas if its raining. When we checked out at 11, our ferry home wasn't until 3, so Dan held our bags at the hotel so we could do some shopping while we waited. It was so nice of him to be so hospitable even after our stay was over. Bottom Line, there is no reason to stay at any other hotel on the island. Its in perfect walking distance to all of the shops, and it's just the best hotel we've ever stayed in. Can't wait to come back. You've made Nantucket our go to vacation spot. Thank you 76 Main!

Yelp
Great location, recently renovated, very clean, great outdoor space/ courtyard and nice breakfast spread. Mangers were very helpful but rest of staff hemmed and hawed over little things like lighting outdoor fires, putting out chair cushions, etc. Wish the entire staff was as helpful as management. Overall, would recommend and would stay again.

Yelp
Our recent stay in this newly renovated Inn was perfect. It was within walking distance from the ferry and close to town, shopping and restaurants. The room was immaculate, cozy, comfortable and tastefully decorated. Yes, bed linens amazing and for a Victorian home, the bathroom was an adequate size. The jute carpet under the bed is rough so if you have sensitive feet bring slippers. The Courtyard was quite nice for morning coffee or for bringing in your evening cocktail. Dan, Corrine and Tiffany are extremely accommodating and go above and beyond for their guests. A continental breakfast of delicious homemade breads, pastries, fresh fruit, yogurt and cereals was nicely displayed. If you enjoy B&B's I would highly recommend- it definitely met our expectations. Keep in mind that with any old property floors creek and doors might squeak.

Yelp
My two children and I stayed here during the Christmas Stroll. It was ABSOLUTELY PERFECT in every way. The location, the accommodations, the innkeeper, Dave. It was very quiet and comfortable, beautiful, yet unpretentious. The other guests were great. I can't wait to return.

Yelp
Just finished a 2-night stay at 76 Main on a girlfriends get-a-way. What a wonderful Inn. Beautifully decorated, amazing patio with fire, picture perfect breakfasts and the general manager and his wife were simply amazing. They cared about your every comfort and need. Can't wait to go back!

Yelp
I can't say enough good things about 76 Main and the hospitality of managers Korin and Dan. I visited recently and they were very kind and thoughtful. The breakfast was terrific and we enjoyed great conversation all weekend. The decor is modern and tasteful and the rooms were impeccably clean. And, they had the best gingerbread cookies I ever had! I wish I could give them more than five stars. Can't wait to go back!

Yelp
We got stranded on Nantucket during a day trip when wind and rain shut the ferries down. We used our smart phones, logged onto Expedia (no help there), then to Nantucket.net, and found 76 Main Street. We called, and Dave could not have been nicer. He booked our room right over the phone, suggested a 3-bed room that would be less expensive than buying two rooms, even though the other arrangement would have made him more money, then braved the rain to welcome us at the end of the driveway. He helped us make our family comfortable and dry, and suggested where we could get food. The room was fine, opening out to lovely patio. True Nantucket hospitality at 76 Main. Thank you Dave!

Yelp
A co-worker and I stayed at 76 main for a business trip last year over Thanksgiving, and it was great! We were able to get the rooms on short notice, and even when we ended up having to stay longer, and they had no rooms available, they helped us find another hotel to stay in. Dan and Corin were the "Inn-Keepers," if you will, and they did an outstanding job. They were extremely helpful in finding things to do during the days we were not working, and were always happy to lend a helping hand. One of the best hotel experiences I've had. Very clean, quiet and off the beaten path a bit, yet close enough to walk the downtown streets and hit the bars and restaurants or whatever you're into. Excellent place to stay!

Yelp
This inn was so gorgeous! We stayed for one night in the Vineyard Vines guest house room. The room was beautiful and right outside was the cutest courtyard. It's a shame that the fire pit wasn't lit because we had the most gorgeous evening weather while we were there. When we checked in, the staff was warm and welcoming and allowed us to store our bags while we walked around the island until our room was ready. The reason I'm not giving 5 starts is because of the social hour experience we had. When we came back to check into our room, there had been a staff change and a man named Alex checked us in and brought us to our room. He told us about the 5:30-7:30pm social hour that was BYOB in the kitchen. He came off a little too cool for school if you know what I mean, but we didn't think much of it at the time. That evening we made our liquor store run and headed over to the kitchen with our bottle of Prosecco, excited to meet other people staying at the inn. We were the first ones there but very shortly after, Alex came in and put something in the oven. A minute later a couple came in and Alex immediately started talking to them asking them how their night had been. They started to tell him about a great dinner they had at the restaurant we were going to later that night. I chimed in and they gave us some great recommendations on what to order. That was the end of the so called "social hour." The 3 of them stood with their backs turned to us completely blocking us off the conversation and from the cocktail mixers available on the counter. Alex didn't involve us in the conversation at all or try to make us feel welcome. It was very odd and awkward to say the least. We sat and finished our drinks in about 20 minutes, the whole time just listening to them talk among themselves and completely ignore the fact that we were there. I guess Alex was too caught up in the free Fenway Park tours he was being offered by the other guest to realize we were there. We used the excuse that we needed a refill and left, without anyone acknowledging us or saying goodbye. A great experience otherwise, but Alex needs to work on his hospitality manners.
