7AM Somewhere always has delicious coffee and tea, of course, and the staff is friendly, upbeat, and professional. But what I really love about this place is its role as a community gathering spot. Christina is so welcoming to local vendors and the arts community. She hosts musicians, supports authors and booksellers, and welcomes cultural events--like the Brighton Cultural Arts Connection's Paperbacks, Puzzles, & Poetry event in September--into her coffee shop. Christina even allows local visual artists, including artists from Main Street Gallery, to display and sell their work from the coffee shop, and she sometimes invites local caricaturists to brighten her guests' days with their whimsical drawings of exaggerated faces. In addition--unlike many other local coffee shops--7AM Somewhere has a kids' area, where kids can color, play games, and build puzzles, while parents sit and enjoy a tasty beverage. Finally, have you seen the amazing handpainted mural on the rear exterior of the building? If not, be sure to stop by, order your favorite drink, and check out the mural from the comfort of the back patio. Enjoy!
