CASH ONLY! A classic New York City diner! The staff were super friendly and they were busy but moving so quick when we visited. The food was delicious! We had the French toast and an omelette and both were amazing! The fruit on the French toast was fresh and the sweetness level was perfect. The omelette was solid but I was addicted to the fried potatoes! We took a chocolate glazed donut to go which was delicious and I’ll be back to try more soon!

My favorite classic diner in brooklyn. The matzah ball soup has healed me many times when I’ve been sick. The food is consistently excellent when I go. My husband and I love the tuna melt too. The staff are so welcoming and kind, it makes the experience even better. I want to make this a weekly dinner so I can try different things on the menu :) they even surprised us with a donut at the end of the meal which made our day. thank you so much!!! Tip: get cash before from your bank to avoid atm fees as it is cash only

Google
4/5 Donut Sundae -- cake donuts tastes super fresh, moist and fluffy! I was less impressed by the ice cream, but it is a very classic diner flavor (vs. a higher end ice cream shop) 5/5 Milkshakes 5/5 Curly Fries

Google
oooo, came for some donuts and paid $7 for 2. we got our favorites, a french cruller and boston cream. the cruller was half glazed so on first bite, it was salty. there was a super doughy middle layer that tasted like egg custard… not typical. the boston cream had no cream until 2/3rd of the way through and there was only a quarter sized amount.

It wasn’t hard for us to decide to eat here since it was probably the only restaurant open on Christmas Day but we are so glad we stopped here! The specials of Leg of Lamb and Chicken Francese were so incredibly delicious I could definitely see myself coming back here again even though we live in Queens. Even the chicken and rice soup was perfectly hot and tasty! The side of curly fries was great too! The meals all came out at weird times which made the meal a bit awkward and less than ideal but the waitress was so nice and even gave us two donuts for free on our way out for our little one!! Such a charming little gem that I’m glad we found!!

One of the few remaining diners. (God, I miss those days when they were on every corner!) Standard diner fare. Food is solid, with some weak spots. But,.. Donuts! Lots of them, and they're not the over-sweetened crap you get from Dunkin'! They have flavor, and variety. I just wish I could afford to live in the neighborhood!

Google
Historic Diner With The Freshest Donuts 🍩 this place has the best donuts for decades… waaaay before it was a trend with the other new gourmet donuts. You’ll find the old fashioned no frills donuts and cruellers but they are made fresh at 8pm nightly. So that’s the best time to pick them up. The diner food is good too but you can get that anywhere but there’s only one place for 7th Ave Donuts! Tip: buy a dozen and get one free and it’s CASH only. Highly Recommend ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

"If you’re in the area, you should definitely drop by—they’re open 24/7. The staff is super friendly and welcoming, making you feel right at home from the moment you walk in. The Subway is close by, and while street parking is available, it can be a bit tricky to find a spot. The donuts are simply amazing, and the diner food is worth every bite. Keep in mind, it’s a cash-only place, but there’s an ATM in the corner for convenience. Make sure to come hungry because you’ll leave satisfied. A really amazing friend recommended this spot, and I’m so glad I visited—I can’t wait to return."

Yelp
We stumbled upon this late night eatery and I'm so glad that we did. I had the meatloaf with mashed potatoes and spinach. It was incredible. A very generous portion and extremely delicious. The apple turnover that I had was absolutely scrumptious. Not too sweet and the dough was perfectly soft. There were a few misses though. The onion soup was not very good. The flavors just did not come together very well and the cheese on top was very unappetizing. The turkey wrap, while tasty, was very dry. There were multiple staff members who were inviting and positive. Particularly at the counter and one wonderful woman who was circulating with the best energy. Our server, a gentleman, was very eh... Even resulting in us having to get up and ask for our own check. Maybe it was because it was late night?

Yelp
In a day and age where the very concept of what constitutes a diner seems more muddled in a city with rising rents and therefore menu prices 7th Ave donuts seems to stand out. The interior is exactly what you'd want, some old school vibes. The service is fantastic, not only was our waitress so sweet but the behind the counter people were jovial despite a super busy Saturday. The quality of the food combined with the price sets it even higher up for me. Super solid breakfasts and you can easily be full for less than $11 per person. But why stop there where you can grab a donut on the way out?! The eye grabbing display might remind one of a Dunkin (in the best way possible) but these homemade donuts far outstrip anything mass produced. You simply must go.

Yelp
The people that left five stars reviews for this place must have bottom feeder taste. The food is disgusting here stay away.

Yelp
Wanted to love the donuts but half the donuts purchased all had mold on it!!! See photo.

Yelp
I've ordered delivery from here multiple times and not k my is the food amazingggg the way it's packaged is so good and! I got an extra donut with my order. This place gives such a eating at your moms house vibe I love it
google avatar

Amira A.

Yelp
Well I wish I could tell you how the doughnuts are but they are cash only. I literally left the house with my metrocard and debit card I'm not inquiring ATM fees for doughnuts. The guy at the door was nice but that shit turns me off so bad when businesses do that. Of course there's an ATM so they can make money on top of it. I'd hope there's no taxes incurred if you're forcing people to pay in cash!

Yelp
This was my second trip here. Last time I had dessert and coffee but this time we had dinner. What a great spot for exactly what you want. The menu has a bit of everything. My son wanted his fries extra crispy and they delivered. He got a grilled cheese with two cheeses as well. The servers are very friendly. The wall mirrors and tiled floors are so cute. I just love 7th Ave. Donuts any time of day or night.

Yelp
Service is a little slow but the food here is so good. There is not too much seating so not great for large parties. Their donuts are great as well, I highly recommend the jelly donut. Portion sizes are great and staff is very friendly.
google avatar

Jim G.

Yelp
Excellent donuts and baked goods. Coffee was horrendous. My apologies to the owner, but please do better with your coffee. Ambience typical of a luncheonette. 5 stars for the donuts 0 stars for the coffee

Yelp
I'm a huge fan of this diner. I believe the same family that own this donut shop also owns the diner on 5th Ave and 39th because I would see some of the same staff, at both locations. Nonetheless, no matter the time, I always order eggs and home fries with wheat toast along with a Boston Crème donut. The staff here was always prompt, friendly and welcoming. Whether it was take out or to- go they offered the same friendly service. I had not been here in quite awhile, however, I did notice they spruced up the place with a new modern design.

Yelp
This place has been around for a million years, and it's open 24/7, which is weirdly rare these days in the city that never sleeps. (Come on, Wo Hop--go back to your old hours!) There isn't much to get here if you're vegetarian or vegan, but the veggie burger and fries are quite good. It's an old school style veggie burger, where there's chunks of vegetables in it, which I like--it's a shame you can't get those most places anymore, only trendy fake meat ones. I like the ambiance here, or rather the lack thereof. Sure it could be more diner-y, but at least it doesn't have a kitschy, fake diner feel. Also the service is good--the waitstaff are friendly and attentive despite the odd hours. My only complaint would be the cash-only aspect, but I get it--it's probably key to how they've been able to stay around so long. Worth going here so that they can stay open for another million years!

Yelp
Best diner breakfast I've ever had. Eggs and chorizo hash. Excellent donuts. Very friendly staff. Great value. 10/10

Yelp
The doughnuts rock. Forget the flavorless mush from Dunkin. If you want a truly dunkable doughnut,, a cruller or old-fashioned that holds up to coffee, an old school jelly or cream-filled, this is the place.
google avatar

Heather R.

Yelp
I love this dinner why you ask ? It's totally old school which this Brooklyn lady loves!!! I enormously enjoyrg my omelettes with some veggies and most of all unlimited coffee which is strong and bold. The server anytime i go here are proficient and truly work hard.

Yelp
Perfect diner food for great prices especially for the neighborhood. I got a grilled chicken panini and my friend got the french onion soup and they both hit the spot. Then for dessert we were very intrigued by the donut sunday so we ordered it and it was delicious. The donuts were warm and easy to take apart. We will definitely be coming back here whenever we don't know where to go. Also the service was great.
google avatar

Brooklyn A.

Yelp
This place has really sh*tty food, the prices are expensive for the crap they serve! My grilled chicken sandwich was disgusting and the chicken was rubbery! Service is slow and the donuts were exposed no covering. The woman behind the counter kept staring at us, really uncomfortable when we were eating.

B M.

Yelp
We were looking for a diner that was opened 5AM after a party and found this spot. 24/7 places are hard to come by nowadays. Food and service was great! Everything we wanted, hit the spot. They make homemade donuts too and the donuts are fresh and delicious! Definitely will go back when we're in the area.

Yelp
If you have a food allergy, do not eat here! I just came here with a friend and was very clear when I ordered a burger with no bun. This was after I asked if they have gluten free buns. When my burger came out it was on a bun and I asked my server to remake it because o had a gluten allergy. I was clear not to just take it off the bun but it needed to be remade. He said ok. My burger came out in record time and I flipped it over to check it because it was impossible to cook that fast. They had pulled it off the bun and scraped the bottom. There was still cheese and bread on the bottom. I returned it and said o don't want it remake, I don't trust the kitchen. He started arguing with me that it was already started. Will never eat here again as they do not take food allergies seriously and when they mess up, they took it less seriously.

Yelp
Went after working at the hospital very cute and clean. Received such great service from a waitress (I didn't get her name but she had a few tattoos) who was kind, quick and was helpful when choosing off the menu. While I was eating the owner (I presume) walked past my table and gave me a 10/10 complimentary doughnut for "being a good customer". Great place! Great sausage and bacon!

Alex G.

Yelp
Haven't had a bad meal here! LOVE IT, park slope staple. Take out or dine in the food is always great.

I E.

Yelp
I don't understand all the positive reviews?!This place is inconsistent with everything. Prices have DOUBLED in a year! Presumably to pay for their renovations? They overcharge you when the menu shows a lower price then they say "those are old prices". Ok? So CHANGE THEM! The quality of the food is not worth the price. Ingredients taste cheap. Portions are small. The donut fillings can be fully loaded or barely there. They don't seem to keep track of bestselling donuts and make sure there are enough available. Instead the only choices are racks full of vanilla iced, crullers (dry!) and chocolate glazed (dry as hell with NO cocoa flavor). Service and order times are hit or miss too. Sometimes they're very nice and fast even if it's busy. Mostly they're cranky and slow regardless of it being nearly empty.

Ron B.

Yelp
Admittedly, this is not Rao's or a high-end restaurant. However the food was excellent. It is like a "guilty pleasure" type joint, as you can't eat this stuff every day because of the calories. This place takes you back to the days when you could go into a diner and sit at a booth. Sadly, those days are slowly ending, and all we have these days for the most part are healthy restaurants with tiny portions and yuppies with attitudes as customers. It is great to see a place like this still exist in Park Slope, like a blast from the past. I ordered rice and beans which were massive and excellent. Grilled cheese and fries also good. The donuts and milkshakes are also pretty damn good, and the salads are fresh. They are also very friendly. Great bang for your buck compared to other Park Slope restaurants. They are also open seemingly 365 days a year. If you place a big enough order, you can usually convince them to deliver farther outside their normal range, so they are flexible about that kind of thing. And I believe they are open 24 hours a day so you could actually order from them at 4AM.

Robert ..

Yelp
Great customer service, and quick seating. Food was out the kitchen to you in no time.

Ronette B.

Yelp
Good donut selection, loved the crispy fried bar one with the powered sugar, friendly staff. Gives you a free donut with purchase. First time visiting Brooklyn and would definitely go and get your donut fix. If I had more time I would have gone back to try their food as well

Stephanie D.

Yelp
New to the neighborhood and heard about this place! Was craving something sweet and the donuts hit the spot! Jelly could use a bit more jelly but the glaze and chocolate were delicious. The service was super friendly and helpful too even giving us a sample to try that was still warm. Will be back to try more!

Yelp
This is a small local donut shop/diner mostly catering to locals who live around the area. FYI: it's cash only. They make their donuts onsite daily which is amazing. Their donuts are the old fashion kind, none of the shi-shi stuff you see in Manhattan or Williamsburg but it's the good kind. If you're looking for some traditional donuts and a cup of coffee, then this is the spot for you. I love their cake donuts! It's cakey enough but not super dense and it's not dry either. I don't really like their yeast donut as much because it's on the bland side.

Rishad K.

Yelp
Got the assorted donuts and some french cruellers. The donuts were actually really bad except the glazed. The chocolate on the boston cream was brittle and just fell apart. Vanilla milkshake was good

Saba R.

Yelp
Best late night burger in park slope. The environment is also cozy and safe for that time of the night.

Yelp
What a concept - awesome diner food and amazing donuts too. The donuts were beyond fresh and tasty. The food was awesome across the board. Super-reasonable prices and Kay was an amazing host and constantly made sure we were taken care of.

Tony S.

Yelp
stay away! sent wrong order, then called 1 hr later to say they want original salad back, which was already in the trash, then would not refund. worst service. take your own risk.

Jane S.

Yelp
As with my other diner reviews, I appreciate anyone that has disco fries. I enjoy the breakfast but still vote Windsor diner as my favorite in the area. I will say, the donuts are solid and always fresh. They've done a nice job updating the place so on the ambiance. One of these days, I'll need to check out the non breakfast items but for me the diner experience is all about the breakfast. They have a great selection of omelette and sandwiches.

Yelp
Saw the sign on the street for donuts and quickly decided to get a quick snack. Basic diner interior with a wall full of pastries behind the cashier. Between two people, got the Filled Jelly Donut ($2.50), and a Chocolate Icing Donut ($1.50). Jelly donut isn't bad; some sugar powdering on the outside, yet not too much that it gets everywhere. Jelly-to-pastry ratio could be better but the donut tasted relatively fresh. The chocolate icing donut was not nearly as fresh; hardened icing on top of the stale donut was not a good combo. This spot is "cash-only", however there is an ATM next to the entryway. Donuts are hit or miss, food might be a different story.

Yelp
Shhhhh!! I dont eat donuts, but when I do, its amazing Kruellers from 7th Avenue donuts.

Zenda D.

Yelp
Tried out the donuts here after leaving New York Presbytarian, my midwife told me they had better donuts than Krispy Kreme so of course I had to try it for myself. Unfortunately it was not better than Krispy Kreme....that's a tough one! I would say on the bright side they have a bakers dozen which is actually 13 donuts for 13$ not bad...but the donuts in my opinion were pretty okay. My fave was the jelly puff I would say it's a lot of dough needs a lil more jelly to hit the spot and have a nice donut to filling ratio. I tried the coconut jelly it was a no for me. Also tried the creme puff it was cool...better filling to donut ratio but not my go to and my midwife raved over the marble twist...it gave me coffee cake vibes but without the softness...wouldn't go back for donuts but happy I got to try them out. I'll stick to my Krispy Kreme
google avatar

Yelp
A decent place for classic donuts but these weren't my favorite donuts. We got two boxes (probably about 18 donuts in all) and one of the donuts was stale. Some were a little too sweet but most did the job pretty well. Great with a cup of coffee. I had the chance to try at least 6 different types of donuts by cutting them into pieces and sampling with a big group. My favorite was the long log looking donut with some kid of crumble on top. The kids loved the chocolate frosted donuts with rainbow sprinkles. Support your local businesses if you can!!

Yelp
I have been coming here for months, and spent close to an entire paycheck here, because the food is great. Tonight I decided I will never be going back nor recommending this place ever again. The food is NOT worth the unprofessional and scary staff. Woman on the phone straight up HUNG UP on me after asking for my personal information, and then she had the AUDACITY to deny ever having taken a call when I called her back 10 seconds later. Her blatant gaslighting me feel both unsafe and unsettled. This place has lost a loyal and high profit customer, and all of my friends and long time family customers will no longer be going. The woman answering the phone at 7:20 pm 1/16/23 seriously needs to have her attitude be adressed. Thanks for being rude , arrogant, and mean.

Yelp
Stopped in for a donut at midnight and holy guacamole it was fresh and maybe the most delicious donut I've ever had.
google avatar

Yelp
Wow I am blown away by these donuts. Absolutely thrilled with the 4 we picked up. $5 for 4 donuts. Cash only!!

Nan B.

Yelp
I wandered into this place by chance and ended up buy a ton of donuts after trying a couple of them. I think they're hands down one of the best finds of the year. They have both classic old-fashioned donuts, real honey -glazed donuts, and many new fangled donuts with a variety of toppings. The service was also great! No-nonsense, very helpful. Can't wait to go back! Truly awesome!

Yelp
Ordered breakfast today from 7th Ave Donuts. Its my second time ordering. The egg sandwich was almost perfect, they added cheese which i cant have so i just scraped it off the sandwich. The roll is soft and pillowy and eggs are scrambled just the way i like. Coffee was great. Donuts are so lovely, they have this old fashioned feel to them which i enjoy. Will definately order again!

dave a.

Yelp
I'd like to offer an opinion on the quality of the food, but it seems impossible to actually place an order. I called up this past friday at 9 pm to get some late dinner, and was immediately placed on hold. after almost (exactly) 10 minutes i gave up and called back. immediate hold again. tried 15 minutes later. immediate hold. i gave up for good at that point. how is it possible that someone can be available to pick the phone up on the first ring every single time, but be unable to take an order ? or even say "sorry, please call back in 30 mins, we're swamped at the moment" ? or anything besides "please hold". LOL, just ridiculous, i can only imagine how late and cold the food would have been when i finally got it at midnight.

Yelp
I've been eating at this place since I moved into the neighborhood 8 years ago. It's a straight up diner. I get food at whatever time during the day or night, especially when I miss my stop coming home drunk on the train. The spot is always open! I always get standard breakfast, or steak and eggs, and or donuts to keep me busy on my walk home. Might grab a beer while I'm eating since I always crave one day or night.

Natalie Z.

Yelp
Never had a donut that wasn't fresh from this place--very solid diner food and open 24/7. The people have always been friendly enough! Hope this place stays forever.
google avatar

James S.

Yelp
Been going here since i was a kid still amazing ordered a dozen donuts at 2 am best donuts i ever had also good prices - enzo
google avatar

Jax D.

Yelp
I've only ordered takeout from here--was a staple in my home during lockdown. This place used to have the best chicken fingers ever. Like, the best. Hand breaded, crispy, tender. They no longer sell these, although the price has gone up. They're now the same frozen flat, flavorless factory farmed chicken tenders they have in school cafeterias and bowling alleys. The donuts that were once fresh and delicious are now frequently stale and taste of old oil. It's really sad, because this was my favorite late night takeout spot and I'll never get to eat those amazing chicken tenders again! Sometimes it's not worth the cost cutting if it means losing customers forever.

Yelp
I've been going to/ordering from this place for years. Made a lot of great memories here. The doughnuts are made on site and I've only ever had one doughnut here that was kinda stale, otherwise I've never been disappointed. The food is great and they have a lot to offer. Breakfast my go to is the Western Omelette. Lunch/Dinner is tough to choose. My favorite is probably the Texas Burger or the classic Beooklyn burger but their quesadillas and BLTs are also great. Whatever you order definitely get the disco fries on the side they're delicious. Only thing I can't speak to is the pastas. I've never gotten any of the Pasta but my mom likes the Penne Vodka. The place is cash only which isn't always convenient but for the price you pay and the amount of food you get (and how good it is) it definitely shouldn't be a deterrent for patrons. 10/10

Yelp
Average donut to grab and head into prospect park with. Didn't get mine incredibly fresh in the afternoon so probably worth coming only closer to the morning
google avatar

Ali T.

Yelp
This is a review for donuts only. I bought 6 to try. They were only $1 each. I went at around 3pm and some of the donuts were harder than any I've ever had. Maybe they were old and just sitting there?? I'll give this place another try though and go in the morning when the donuts are fresh.
google avatar

Dana M.

Yelp
Just as Yelp suggests, A-OK. I came on a Sunday night for a sweet treat after a warm meal at the Vietnamese place on the corner of 7th and 9th. Before you go, bring cash! The donuts are a dollar and a quarter. The ATM will charge you $2.50 for a withdrawal....which is donut money, is 2 donuts. The Boston creme was pretty basic. I didn't think it was anything more special than a standard Dunkin. 7th Ave Donuts has a 90's diner feel to it, which I can't figure out if I like or not. I love to support my local business, so I'll be back. I crave chocolate glazed every now and again. See you soon, 7AD.
