Pretty average across the board, from the greasy burgers to the stark decor.
Prices are relatively reasonable for DC ($9.50 for a double cheeseburger and $4.50 for fries as of Jan 2026). However, I disliked being prompted for a 22% tip given there’s no table service - what am I tipping for? I see other reviews mention long waits, but I ordered around 7PM on a weekday and had my food in under five minutes, though the restaurant was nearly empty.
The interior is sparse and industrial — steel tables and walls, concrete floors, and no decor at all. It felt cold and uninviting, more like a workspace or a morgue than a place to enjoy a meal. Loud radio music was blasting the entire time, which made it hard to relax.
As for the food, I agree with other reviewers that the burger is very greasy and would benefit from a hotter sear. The beef seems overly fatty, to the point that the grease soaked through both the bun and the paper wrapper. Between the soft, fatty patty and the soft potato roll, the burger lacked texture and contrast. On the plus side, the fries were good — clearly fried to order, crispy, and well executed, though possibly a bit salty depending on your preference.
Hopefully management figures out a fix for the overly greasy burgers and puts some effort into the decor, otherwise I don’t see this spot getting a lot of repeat customers.
