"Italian Pizza Born in L.A. When 800 Degrees Pizzeria opened in the neighborhood of Westwood, there was a line out the door for days. Since then, the build-your-own-pizza place has expanded to other L.A. locations in Santa Monica, Hollywood, Downtown, Playa Vista, and LAX, as well as further afield toLas Vegas, Japan, Dubai, and Qatar. First, request your base and watch the assembly line spin raw dough into a pizza shape and make it saucy, then add your cheese. Next, pile on the toppings, wait a few minutes for the pie to come out of the oven (which iscranked up to—you guessed it—800 degrees), and enjoy. The Downtown and all newlocations will be known as 800 Degrees Woodfired Kitchen to reflect its rotisserie chicken, porchetta, and other new menu items. With the menu expansion came some downsizing—the original Westwood location closed in 2018 when the space's kitchen couldn't support the pizzeria's new offerings—but the close was short-lived, and the original location was back up and running again the next year."
Although the service can be a hit or miss, the pizza is quite good. This is a great spot to build-your-own pizza and the toppings are up to you! If you are in a group, this is a perfect spot to come get a few different pizza configurations.
The red sauce is great 5/5.
The toppings are you to you, so you can ask the makers to add more or less. 4/5
The cheese is nice, there are a few options to choose from. The crust is delicious, but not always consistent. Sometimes the crust is more burnt than cripsy. 3/5

Good vibe :) from the time we ordered until we left the premises. The employees here were friendly, courteous and accomodating especially Oscar and Ashley. My partner and i got exactly the same Pizza of The Day which was Bianca cheese, bacon and cherry tomatoes. It was tasty and perfectly cooked (no burn but still had crispy crust). The restaurant itself was nice with beautiful chandeliers, pretty clean including the bathroom and drink fountains. Kudos to this location :)

Great Pizza as always ! Consistently great
5-03-2021 One of the best pizza places in LA. My favorite when I’m in or around Santa Monica. Baked in a brick charcoal oven. Almost authentic, tastes great and really inexpensive. Employees are professional and friendly most of the time. Speedy service, I’ve never waited for my pizza more than 3-4 mins. Thank you very much Chao ragazzi ! 👍🏻👍🏻🤤🤤

[True by Spandau Ballet plays]
A good friend of mine says that no matter how bad things are in life, at least pizza's always good. It's so true.
Atmosphere:
800 Degrees doesn't feel like an east coast pizza place, nor does it feel like a Domino's. It's somewhere in between. If you're out of the loop, it's like a fast-casual Chipotle-style choose-your-own-adventure deal.
Food:
Ooh baby. Despite what I said above, I didn't choose my own adventure. I got the Carni specialty pizza. Pepperoni, sausage, bacon. The meats were just salty enough, the dough was crisp but also had a good bite to it, and the cheese was cheesy. My friends got a gluten-free pizza, a margarita pizza, a Carni pizza to go, and some cookies. The cookies looked amazing but they're the most expensive cookies i've ever heard of. I didn't try them so I can't say if they were worth it, but whaaaaaat. Anyway, the pizza did the trick and I ate the whole thing. I was hungry and it wasn't a huge pie.
Beverage:
They have those fancy Coca-Cola machines. Love those.
Service:
Good. Not much else to say here.
Price:
For the pizza, fair. For the cookies, it's hard to justify.
Recommend?
Yeeah. I'd go back.

Build your own Pizza Pie! Great topping selections, they also have pre-selected menus that can help you decide which pizza you want to create. I had the BBQ Chicken, it was delicious.
Their ambience is perfect, I felt cozy. I really like the old school setting and lighting.
The pizza doesn't take long from creation to your belly!
They have a lot of condiments and selections of beers.
I strongly recommend this place,

Update (2018-12-24):
Poor experience on my second visit. Ordered a pizza through their app. Got a phone call on my way there telling me that pizza isn't available. I had to order something else over the phone. Since I didn't have a menu, I just ordered a super basic pizza. They told me it'll take 5 minutes. I got there and asked for my pizza 8 minutes later, they have no idea where my pizza is. Turned out it wasn't even made. I stood at the counter in the mostly empty restaurant waited 10+ minutes to finally get my pizza.
This was more than two hours before they closed. They had chairs stacked up blocking a door already. Completely different from my experience at their Westwood location.
Original review:
Good pizza. Pretty fast and friendly staff.

Pizzas are very good, salads fresh and crisp, nice decor. With a little better service and cleaner tables and areas around tables especially by the glass windows, 5 stars are within reach. When someone asks for a well done pizza please make it well done.
I will give it another deserving try...

One of my fav local pizza places in this neighbourhood.
I love ultra thin crusts. So while not the most thin along the edges, its still thin enough for me within the main centre.
So grateful that they have amazing Insta $7 deal a day pizzas! I had the marguerita with sausage & mushrooms today! Too delish to resist and to stop to a pic of!!
Been here before and will be back again. If you’re frequent at their locations, download their app and join to get $10 off straight away
