The lines have finally become manageable at this outpost of “the Starbucks of Taiwan.” Sponge cakes and pastries are reliable; the more elaborate cakes in the refrigerated case feel like less of a good deal. They’re famous for starting the salted cream coffee craze, and I have to admit it’s tasty.

Love it! My daughter and I walked here from inside the mall while my son and wife got shoes. It’s a bit of a walk through the grocery store but worth it! There are dozens of pastry options: buns, croissants, biscotti, sweet and savory alike. We enjoyed the chocolate and cream filled buns the most. We also got a Vietnamese coffee and milk tea, both delicious! Highly recommend popping in if you’re in the area.

Google
I’ve never been into an 85 degree Bakery Cafe and let’s tell you it changed my life. I went everyday during my vacation and sometimes even twice a day. The vietnamese coffee changed me into a whole different person and would 10/10 recommend!! I will say i’ve tried like 10 different bakery items and they were all so delicious and made perfectly!

Google
The pastries here are delicious! They do change it to too which is nice. My favorite is the chocolate bun and the one with white fluff/custard pastry inside. Sooo good. Workers are all nice and you can get full size cakes and cafe drinks here too. Can get crowded at times but is worth it for me. Prices are good too. Love it!!

Google
The pastries and cakes here are so good!! I always love getting their chocolate croissant! It had chocolate chunks in it, and it just tasted so buttery and fresh! My sister likes their strawberry mango smoothie, but this time I was craving chocolate, so I got the sea salt chocolate drink with no sea salt because I preferred it sweet. It tasted good! Last but not least, we preordered the taro and mango cakes for Mother’s Day and they tasted really good! They were really light and just right with their sweetness. We all liked the mango cake better.

Google
I love the is place so much. All the bread is always so good and at a good price point. Drinks are tasty too :) I like that there is so much variety that you’ll basically get to try something new each time.

Google
Made the mistake of going to it on a weekend and let me tell you it was PACKED! But the shelves were still full, the treats and pastries were soft and not overly sweet and the long line moved quickly. Definitely coming back for a special occasion cake.

Google
I love 85C and this bakery was nice and clean. It was busy on a Saturday but the line moved fairly quickly. There's a kiosk to order drinks next to the pastries which makes ordering at the register take less time. I got the caramel milk tea and it was really good. I think all my friends liked their drinks a lot too. The pastries were as expected, tasty and delicious. I feel like you can never go wrong with anything here.

Google
Great place for sweets! This place is big and has plenty of cakes, cookies, and pastries. I lived in Federal Way and the 85-degree there ran out of the birthday cakes we wanted. So, I came down to Southcenter and picked one up for my wife. I love this place.

Yelp
One of the first 85s I have visited. They did remove some tables and chairs it seems, but have still added more room for the lines of customers. Add the app! Because those points really do accumulate quickly. I'm always impressed with their cakes, as they are a family favorite. We are now obsessed with the ube flavor one. Make sure to download their app to accumulate points.

Yelp
Need to pick up a delicious cake in a pinch? Or maybe you just have a craving for a sweet treat? With the extensive variety 85 has to offer, you're sure to find something for everyone. Their name derives from the temperature of a perfect cup of coffee. Speaking of, they have a great drink menu. It sucks that this place (and almost all their locations) doesn't have much seating. The most tables I've ever seen are three little tables that seat two each and usually they're always occupied. Service is a hit or miss but tbh people come here, grab a tray, fill it up with treats ranging anywhere under $10 and then leave. Check them out! You'll be glad you did :)

Yelp
Other than their delicious baked goods, I love coming here for the coffee and drinks. Their espresso and specialty drinks are so good! Coffee provides a nice espresso flavor, not burnt and their specialty flavors are also good. Service is fast even on busy days. There are a couple of seats and tables for you to enjoy your goodies in store. Ample parking.

Yelp
I love all the pastries this bakery has to offer! They are always freshly made and quick service at the counter. I absolutely love the taro buns but any of the other choices are a big hit! I especially love their cake and drink options which make it a great one stop shop! Additionally they have monthly deals on their app which makes it affordable!

Yelp
Came a lot when they first opened. This is my first time back in a while. You can order drinks in a kiosk and then pay for your baked goods in the line. The line was super duper long. I feel like they need to re-think their system. The two ladies working the cash registers were in and out and everywhere. I think to keep up, they need one person to just stay at the registers (or two if they have enough people). Then have a few people be the go between. If you have no place to go and you have the time, it's fine. Food and drinks are still yummy!

Yelp
Tried out their winter menu and some other pastries + drinks. We liked it overall and were happy with our meal. Our favorite was the tiramisu cheesecake, very rich and refreshing
google avatar

Alex L.

Yelp
A decent sized bakery with a selection of drinks to choose from. The Vietnamese coffee I got wasn't the best I've ever had (there was a LOT of ice), but it was prepared quickly and reasonably priced. Would come back if I was close by, but I wouldn't make a trip for it.

Yelp
Their baked goods never disappoint. The breads have that great texture of soft and chewy and they have both sweet and savory goods. They are constantly bringing out pastries and replenishing the shelves. The beverages there are great from their fruit teas to coffee and you can adjust the sweetness level.
google avatar

Yelp
The bakery products are pretty decent . I visit biweekly or monthly . I like their app and reward program. Only thing I would complain is the speed of service . It seems like there are a lot of people (5-6 workers) working there but always just one cashier and it has been causing huge line on even a weekday non-peak hour. Management needs to give it a thought how to better manage staff and allocate resources .

Yelp
85°C Bakery has always been my favorite place for breakfast, cakes, and drinks. The quality is generally great, but I've noticed a few issues lately. First, the buns have significantly shrunk in size, which is very disappointing. Additionally, I recently ordered a Lychee Green Tea and was told by a staff member that they were out of green tea and would be substituting jasmine tea instead. According to her, they've been using jasmine tea because 'no one can tell the difference.' This raises the question--why advertise it as green tea in the first place? Transparency is important, and I hope they address both of these concerns to maintain the trust of their customers
google avatar

Yelp
The usual self serve Asian bakery. This one in particular is very easy to navigate which I appreciate. There's usually a constant replenishment if everything. So my picks are still warm and fresh. That said, my favorite are the drinks. Esp the salted mountain green tea and the grapefruit. The service is nice. They pack your items with lots of care. The cafe/ambience is crowded-feeling, usually bustling. I've never seen it not busy, but the line moves fairly fast imo.
google avatar

Albert K.

Yelp
Operationally a bit inefficient. Ran out of utensils at 3pm so cakes could not be eaten. Trash bins are overflowing and it felt very poorly run.
google avatar

Dianna N.

Yelp
The layout is a bit strange, because they could have had the bake goods away from the window so people can grab things from both sides. Otherwise it can get crowded waiting until it's your turn. Signage wasn't clear for every item either. However, everything was fresh and individually wrapped. Making it easier to take when traveling. Prices were fair for the quality.

Yelp
We loved this place! Super friendly employees and a very clean space. You are welcomed by an assortment of pastries and a cute bakery. However, there's A LOT of open area here and I definitely think they could have added more tables and chairs for their customers. They literally only had like 2 small tables and it's definitely not enough for people that want to stay and enjoy their food and drinks. We got the cheese bread and garlic bread to eat. Very soft, delicious, and flavorful. I got a strawberry de leche from their strawberry festival line. SO GOOD. And they have real chunks of strawberries in there. We also got the milk tea with boba. It was good and it had a good amount of sweetness. And I know they are famous for the sea salt coffee line, but it was notttt it for us. The salt was too overbearing and you could barely taste the coffee. So I do recommend trying a different type of coffee on their menu. Other than that, highly recommend this place for a quick bite and drink!

Yelp
I find that while there is a plethora of items here, they are mostly variations on 3 or 4 themes which have to do with pineapple, mango, ube, or cream. Nothing wrong with those of course yet it makes it a bit overwhelming, imo, to figure out what I'm looking at and for. It was actually kind of nice to come in close to closing and find a lot of shelves empty. That sounds weird but it gave me the chance to really hone in on what was there, figure out what each item was, and select with more precision and education than I usually do. The folks behind the counter were naturally ready to close up for the night, yet kept a professional demeanor. We'll always stop by here when we are going to and fro the mall or anywhere nearby.

Yelp
There are very few bakeries that open at 8am on Sunday morning. I was tired of the same breakfast every morning so I came to 85°C with my husband. When I smell the aroma of freshly baked, warm bread and pastries, I can't help but buy them all! My husband comments that all the pastries and breads at 85 taste the same. But I like the bread at 85 because it resembles the bread from a Japanese bakery. We picked Spicy sausage, Toro puff pastry, Boroh cream denish, 85°C egg tart and Strawberry cream square. I liked it because it was not too sweet. Service ladies are nice.

Yelp
A must stop every time we're visiting Seattle area, we love their pastries. Always fresh and delicious, we love these baked goods. We came late in the afternoon, so the selection wasn't that much available. Hubby used their restroom and said it was dirty, so minus the one star. Located near the mall with ample parking.
google avatar

Nichole B.

Yelp
Lots of baked goods to choose from. The strawberry mango smoothie was delicious and I'd get that again. The Thai tea was good but I'm my opinion the smoothie was better. The pastries are always fresh and delicious. Service is good, very helpful. You pick out the pastries you want and put them on a tray, then get in line to pay for everything. Prices are great!!! There are a few tables inside to eat at, very clean inside and lots of parking.

Yelp
Excellent unique bread (i don't even like bread) The bread is fluffy and moist and oh so good. They also have a lot of very unique styles of bread. Our favorite was the Hokkaido Custard Bun I also really like the Egg Tarts, yum! They area creamy and have a great flaky shell. Staff were friendly, and the place has some small tables. Overall you probably wanna take it out and eat it elsewhere, but eat it fast, it is best when it's still fairly fresh :)

Yelp
Every time I place a mobile order they don't actually make it until I arrive , so I end up waiting longer for my pick up order

Yelp
This bakery is Tukwila is usually crowded so I stopped by on a weekday. Picked up a tray and started navigating through the wonderful assortment of sweet and savory bakery items, cakes and finally some good drinks. We picked up the chocolate bomb bun, strawberry cream bun, pork sausage bun, mushroom bun & deluxe chocolate pastry. I really wanted to try their chocolate sponge roll but they were sold out of that one for the day. All their cakes on display look spectacular and I really had to control myself not to order more here. Their breads looked good as well but I dint try that. Finally ordered their hazelnut latter and this was divine! I asked for soy milk substitute and no sugar but this was amazing. They do have good deals on their app such as BOGO for drinks for the month of March, etc. so download and save some bucks. I will make this my mandatory pit stop everytime I am hovering around Southcenter mall.
google avatar

James K.

Yelp
Zero stars because they expect customers to come in for food and beverage and then give them nowhere to sit down. Covid is over people, get with the times!
google avatar

Kari K.

Yelp
Great tasty treats that were super affordable and fresh. The almond croissant was awesome!!
google avatar

Mya N.

Yelp
My go to drink sea salt jasmine tea. No matter how many times I go here, I never deviate to any other drinks. This is my fav. I enjoy all the pastries. It really depends on time of day how busy it gets or which breads are still available. I enjoy all their desserts and cakes as well. I will get a craving every once in a while when I feel like carb loading.
google avatar

Yelp
Ahhh..so good. This time around, we got the strawberry cake and black forest cake. Cons: Almost always a line and slow moving So much sweet stuff Sometimes some items aren't available Not the best healthy ingredients (I'm looking at you - shortening, fructose syrup, processed pork sung) Omg! Mall crowd and parking angst! Drinks are sickeningly sweet. Pros: The cakes are pretty Good variety menu gets updated regularly Clean and pretty good setup with easy access Pricey - an 8inch cake was about $30. Even my in-laws specifically asked to go to this place! Had their tiramisu last time and it was spectacular! A big ole cake- boom- gone in 1.5 days!

Yelp
This place had lots of variety and options for baked goods. I especially liked how you can walk in, grab a tray, and start picking out what you want. I tried a lot of different kinds, but I noticed the savory pastries weren't the best. Perhaps just a personal preference. My favorite things I got were the egg tarts, strawberry white chocolate bun, and a custard bun. Everything else was okay. I would return just to try new items, but they aren't my favorite in terms of quality. Should try if you are passing by the Southcenter mall.
google avatar

Vincent L.

Yelp
One of my favorite bakery chains. Everything is very appealing and picturesque. Breads have a little chew to it which is good. I have say that they are more cater to Asian taste buds, because their bake goods are not very sweet compared to more Americans bakery, so you can eat more and not feel heavy. Tea and coffee you can make it how ever you wanted. Good place to grab late breakfast since they open at 9am
google avatar

R P.

Yelp
Sea salt coffee tastes watered down lately. I've had it at different locations too..so I believe they change the recipe. Besides that bread is still delicious.
google avatar

Yelp
Positioned next to Round1 of Southcenter Mall, this spacious bakery is convenient to grab a quick snack or simple meal. A bit silly of me, but I was childishly a tad disheartened that none of the employees chimed the customary "Fresh Bread!" when waltzing out the back door. The shelves had a decent variety, although some rows were empty or duplicates. Pictured from left-to-right, top-to-bottom: - Taiwanese Boroh ($1.75) - Marble Taro ($3.10) - Taro Mochi Boroh ($3.50) - Milk Pudding ($2.00) - Spicy Sausage ($2.55) - Choco Bun ($2.35) - Matcha Red Bean Roll ($3.40) Overall the baked goods were mostly of standard as expected from an 85C Bakery Cafe. The Taro Mochi Boroh was delicious with a filling of both mochi and taro that was best when reheated. The Marble Taro, however, was lacking in any sweetness and the dough was uneven. This location was serving drinks, but took at least ten minutes to fulfill an order. Inside only had three tables of which all were occupied Sunday morning. A vast parking lot is out front.

Yelp
I've been to several of these bakeries already in the PNW and this stores about the same as the others. These bakeries have a wonderful assortment of pastries that you don't find at most other bakeries. The price is usually decent for what you get. The pastry quality is good. The service and knowledge level is average. The stores are relatively clean. There's better bakeries. But these shops aren't bad and we don't hesitate to come when we need a treat.

Yelp
We were craving something refreshing and we decided to try this location out. It was located in the mall, but there was a lot of parking due it being on the top floor. Upon walking in, it did give that bakery feeling that I was looking for. It was clean, organized and filled with many goodies. We wanted to try new flavor drinks this time around so I got the strawberry de leche + boba & my partner tried the matcha strawberry iced latte. The strawberry de leche was too sweet for my tasting, I didn't end up finishing it. The matcha was great though. The guy taking our order was great & helped us all the way through. I do plan on coming back to try the different flavors.
google avatar

Jessy D.

Yelp
Come when they open up and you'll have a better selection of food. Definitely not what I expected when I searched bakery on Google, but worth going. White chocolate strawberry bread was my favorite!!

Kim L.

Yelp
Delicious pastries/cookies. The cakes were lovely as well. Overall I felt like the prices were reasonable for a good quality Asian bakery.

Terri H.

Yelp
I love this bakery, best fresh deserts around here. Coffe is good as well, i don't like the line but i guess that's the price you pay Thank you

Thu T.

Yelp
Always love their pastries and drinks Friendly staffs Reasonable prices Love the caramel pudding a lot.

Yelp
Love stopping by 85C whenever we are in the area. I have never had a bad a dessert or pastry from 85C, and they consistently deliver fresh and delicious options. My favorites are the Hokkaido bun, red bean bun, and chocolate buns. I also love their pineapple cakes. Prices are high as expected, so this is not an every day stop for me, although I certainly wish it was.
google avatar

Svitlana S.

Yelp
Was this place yesterday. Take pork bun and bun with nuts and raisins. Pork bun just taste only salt I am even didn't feel pork. Bun with raisins taste did not cook well. Very slowly serving, long line. Nice workers. Overpriced coffee even didn't ordered. Didn't recommend this place. You waisted your time.
google avatar

Rachel S.

Yelp
I love that they have so much to choose from. It's dangerous when I come visit this place, I end up with a big haul. . We love the Choco bun among others ofcourse. Service is pretty quick and fast but could get busy at times. It's good that's why! This location is pretty big and nice hang out spot to enjoy your pastries, dessert and have a cup of jo!

Angelina N.

Yelp
Love the selections! Egg tart is my absolute favorite! I do wish they had seating. There is usually a wait but worth it!
google avatar

Alvin L.

Yelp
85 degrees is always a fun spot. Walk in, grab your tray or box and start filling it up with what you want. The taro buns are my favorite (soft milk bun filled with taro paste). I also really like the matcha bun filled with chocolate. These two buns with a hot cup of coffee is the real deal :) I have also tried a few of their cakes - they are good but in my opinion lack flavor (the mango moose could use more mango / tart flavor, the tirimisu could use more coffee / strawberry cake could be more tart, etc.) But their buns are great!! Always fun filling up the box with my daughter.
google avatar

Blessie V.

Yelp
Pretty tasty! My aunty wanted to show this place off to my mom, since there are no 85C locations back in Hawai'i and I enjoyed my previous visit at one of their locations in Chatswood, Sydney. I thought that this location had more diversity in their options and I was excited to try each one that was intriguing to me, so I got: *matcha choco bun ($2.05): not enough matcha, too much chocolate. Appreciated that the bun was fluffy though! *taro puff pastry ($2.05): full of taro flavor and not oily at all! *spinach kale danish ($2.60): exactly as it sounds. Tasty, nothing to rave about though *jumbo coconut strudel ($2.20): alternating layers of coconut and pastry- delightful! *mochi egg tart ($4.50/2 pc box): had a bit of caramel flavor, which caught me off guard, but was nice and chewy. I saw that they also have an assortment of cakes and boba drinks- gotta try those next time. Overall, a solid place to get pastries in the Westfield SouthCenter mall!

Bo W.

Yelp
The food and drink is great. The service was a bit slow. The ambiance bakery shop. I wish they had more selection of panna cotta desserts other than mango.
google avatar

Julie G.

Yelp
Got the aussie meat pie, egg tart, and chocolate cream cheese bun. I would skip the aussie meat pie next time. Not very meaty and I wanted a flakey bread instead of bun like bread. The egg tart was tasty but not like the dim sum flakey crust. It was more like a regular crust and the filling was different but still tasty. The chocolate bun was huge. Soft bread. It was alright but not spectacular
google avatar

Habelo D.

Yelp
I drove 30 minutes to get here just to be informed that they are closed till 1230. Their website indicate they are open at 8am. What a waste of my time.
google avatar

D.J. Y.

Yelp
It's okay for a chain, nothing amazing and the staff are efficient and curious. I haven't really found anything that stands out.

Aliya D.

Yelp
I used to be a regular customers for years at this location and it's disappointing how long orders take to make and the quality of drinks diminishing. for three drinks, I waited 30 minutes. i found no use in giving a complaint. drinks were underwhelming. either too sweet, too watery, or barely any taste at all. it feels like the workers are unhappy and exhausted. it hasn't been the same for a while. definitely recommend another location instead. had a person work at this location complain about the management and it really reflects on the environment and diminishing quality. it's just really disappointing because I used to love this place so much.
google avatar

Marthin M.

Yelp
This bakery has always been my favorite bakery with the array of flavors it holds and the quality in which the bread is produced. I grabbed a few but the ones that stood out were the savory ones pork floss and the hawaiian chicken. The service is self serve which makes it even better. The ambiance is nice and clean.
google avatar

Wina G.

Yelp
Our kids took us here for a "snack ". We ended up getting a sackful of of baked goods. This place also serves coffee (the name 85 degree C refers to the ideal coffee temperature) but I think the draw is the pastries. Typical Asian bakery pastries, mostly savory. Due to Covid, the pastries are wrapped individually and you load up a tray (in our case, PILED). Everything was so yummy, bread so soft. Our absolute favorite is the Hokkaido cheese tart- ooohhh the best! Saw there's other locations- please come to Honolulu- pleeeese!!!!

Linda J.

Yelp
We love this bakery! Their products are all so delicious and beautiful. It's a stop that we are always sure to make whenever we see one.
