It was an absolute joy to stay at 88 Armenian from start to finish. When we first arrived, KC helped share with us some wonderful locations to visit while Amber provided some delicious welcome drinks. We were provided a free upgrade to the Bartholdi Loft for our four night stay and were impressed and delighted by all the amenities. The small thoughts from them were greatly appreciated - from the notes left at turnover service, the variety of snacks, to recalling our drink preferences each morning. It felt that the team were delighted and excited to care for us each day. I would highly recommend 88 Armenian for anybody visiting George Town and hope to revisit again in the future. We stayed 3 nights at 88 Armenian and really loved it! The host was super nice and gave us great food and spot recommendations around Georgetown. The location was perfect - right in the middle of everything. The room was cozy and clean, with a lovely perfume scent that made it feel extra relaxing. We enjoyed the delicious local breakfast served each morning. They even had our bath and iced tea ready every night before we got back - such a nice touch. Would totally stay again, highly recommend!!

I had a wonderful stay at 88 Armenian Hotel. The boutique charm of the property, combined with its elegant heritage design, made for a truly memorable experience. The room was clean, cozy, and beautifully decorated with thoughtful details. The staff were warm, attentive, and always ready to help with a smile. The location is perfect—within walking distance to many attractions, cafes, and cultural spots. Highly recommended for anyone looking for comfort, style, and a touch of heritage in the heart of the city.

We stayed here for 3 nights in October 24. We had a great stay. We were able to have a meal at Tong's on the main floor our first night, book in advance as very busy. Breakfast was served in this area, was included in our room and was also really good. They are able to cater to dietary requirements and made a special effort to meet the gluten free criteria. Our room was filled with snacks, gluten free and regular. We received a little note and a nightly treat for turn down service. The bath butler service is a must do after walking around for the day. You can easily walk over to the fort, clock tower or any of the malls from this location. We had one of the smaller rooms, but it was perfect for 2 and the bed is so comfortable. It's surprisingly quiet at night. We did have a blip when leaving, we had an early flight and were told that someone would meet us in the morning, give us a take away breakfast and let us out. We showed up at the set time, no one was there. We waited a few minutes, walked through to the kitchen, called out but nothing. We eventually figured out how to unlock the doors and left. A bit disappointing to end on that note. Otherwise, the staff went above and beyond to provide us with excellent service and were great. Highly recommend you spoil yourself and book here.

The absolute height of hospitality - 88 Armenian is luxurious in an elegant and understated way - their service is personal yet discreet, with every single detail thought about, without feeling that anything is contrived or overdone. Great central location perfect as a base for exploring. We are a couple who stayed for 3 nights and would 100% recommend this place. We loved the minimalist yet cozy decor, super comfortable bed and linens, iPad / speakers / Netflix set up, indulgent Aesop products, treats every day and night, varied and generous breakfasts, bath butler service (!!!) and fully complimentary (and re-filled) mini bar. Huge acknowledgement to the full staff but especially the housekeeping team here who ensure every corner of the room is spotless, and KC for taking the time to provide personalised recommendations for our trip.

Returning to our room each evening to find a beautifully drawn bath—complete with scents and soothing ambiance—was a touch of luxury that made our stay unforgettable. We’d certainly return to 88 Armenian Street and would highly recommend it to anyone searching for a luxury stay in Penang. It’s a rare find where heritage, hospitality, and heart come together in perfect harmony.

This hotel is in the centre of the tourist district in Georgetown. All restaurants, shops and art work are close by. ||The signature of the hotel is the bathtub which they will prepare for you to luxuriate in herbs and salts for complete relaxation. ||Breakfast alternately western and oriental are really good and plentiful. ||The beds are enormous and extremely comfortable. There are many modern touches which are amazing. The free minibar includes beer and soft drinks and lovely teas.||The staff are very friendly and communicative by whatsapp. ||Will definitely stay again when in Penang.

What a wonderful hotel at 88 Armenian. There were special touches that make this place unique, like the complimentary bath service, that also came with refreshing iced tea. The complimentary tea in the rooms were of the finest selection and brand. The service was amazing and very personalised. Ranging from dining recommendations both in Georgetown and at our next destination, as well as attentive service from Aitee, KC and the other staff. The hotel was well located on Armenian St, right near where everything was happening. 88 Armenian is of high quality and very bespoke. We would love to come back here again and spend more time the next time around. Thankyou Aitee, KC and everyone - sorry forgot the other names!!
