This was the closest massage service near my place so decided to check it out since I was in need of one after being sick for the past couple of days. The spa is located on the 3rd floor and there’s private rooms with curtains instead of doors. I was able to make a same day appointment to get the 60 min massage for $60 (which ended up being $64 when paid with cc). Overall, the massage was good but was a bit hard to relax given the staff was in and out of the room the entire time to pick up the phone, translate, answer her coworkers, and greet customers (aside from going out to get the hot stones and towel), and when customers are waiting, I can hear their conversation which the staffs should inform them not to as it’s disturbing. Also didn’t like how I can feel the staff’s nails at times which may indicate poor technique. I’d like to give them another try since it’s close to my place; hopefully it’ll be a better experience next time.

I used to go very frequently around 2018-2022 when I lived in NY. I had a favorite older masseuse and the massages were perfect. Recently I returned twice while visiting the U.S. for work. The massage was not bad but it wasn’t the same caliber as before. I had a younger masseuse who was not bad, but shockingly I could feel her nails in my sides and it was really painful. I’m not sure if it’s a technique issue or if she just had really long nails, but I’ve never experienced this before in a massage. The place is also doing hot stones now, which is a nice addition to the standard massage, but they’re WAY TOO HOT. The hot stones shouldn’t be at boiling temperature. I felt like my skin was burning. The towels should also be at warm but not scalding hot temperature. I think the price is good and I will give it another try when I’m back in NY, but there could be better consistency of the masseuses. I really miss the ladies I used to have but understand high turnover of these places.

Recommended by a friend, I came to experience it today. First of all, the room was very clean. The masseuse was also very nice. She helped me solve the shoulder pain problem and used hot stones. It was more relaxing and comfortable. I will come again in the future

Massage was good but, manners were very disappointing. The price on the website is different from the price they charge. I have no problem paying or tipping well but, they are dodgy. I called before I went to confirm pricing and was told an increased price, I pointed out the discrepancy on the website and she said ok we'll go with the price on the website. When time came to pay she changed the price again. On top of that she complained about the 24% tip I gave, I was so confused because that is standard or possibly even above standard. I had planned to return but, I won't be returning or recommending this place to anyone.

My massage was great very relaxing. The place is clean everyone is friendly. I will be coming back again. You can’t beat the price.

Found this place while browsing on Yelp, and sure glad I did. Came here on a Saturday night before they closed. I'm not from NYC originally but $60 for minutes is unbelievable even where I'm from in LA. The rooms are only semi-private; there is a divider between the rooms (not four walls) so you can hear some chatter. But since I was one of the only clients, it was rather a relaxing experience. The room was also clean. The masseuse Tina did a great job getting alot of my knots out and also used hot stones as well. I made sure I left a good tip, as the service was so cheap. I highly recommend this place and will be back as I am a permanent resident here now.

This is the best spa in Fidi! Everyone is so friendly, accommodating and personalizes your massage based on what your body needs. It's definitely worth a visit and I go at least monthly now!

Found my new go-to spot when in need of a massage after work! I didn't expect much from a place that sells massage services for as little as $35, but even still, these people really wowed me. I tried a half hour massage for my first go around and I swear it felt like an hour, it was that comprehensive. It started with an over-the-towel full body pat down, then went into the upper body oil massage, and ended with a delicious hot stone rub. Way more than I was anticipating and delightful every second of the experience. Now, I will warn future customers that the premises are pretty no-frills. There was a guy in the room next to me snoring, but honestly we were both in such heaven that it didn't matter. And I will go back, snoring and all, for as long as I work in the area.

When I came after I make appointment 3 women huddled over the door when I opened it confused as to why I was there . I did NOT feel comfortable or safe during the massage with other people walking in and out while I was naked and talking over me. The woman doing the massage kept answering the phone while massaging me at the same time. and kept walking out leaving me there exposed. I felt extremely uncomfortable and unsafe. At the end I was basically rushed out , would never come back .

They were able to squeeze me in last minute. Spa was quiet and clean. Masseuse did a great job of getting out knots she didn't know I had. I went with a bad neck ache and when I left it was completely gone. Will definitely be returning and recommending! Thank you!

If you're looking for a decent massage at a good price I strongly recommend coming here. It is a Hidden Gem and I must've passed by this place several times and never saw it. The mention is small outside and then you ring the buzzer and walk up to the spa. They provide deep massage and that is the only service they provide and they are excellent with it.

I get regular massages at Massage Envy and this place has both a better quality massage and price point. Best experience of my life.

Will not be going back. Massage was ok (not great) but when I paid in cash and tried to ask for change to tip, the masseuse repeatedly tried to keep all the change and would not give it back. I planned to and did tip 20%. But after repeatedly arguing over the remaining change. Not a good experience.

Mimi is amazing! I threw out my back and looked for the closest place to get a massage. I hobbled in hunched over. I didn't know I had so many knots until Mimi was working them all out! I left feeling so much better!

Pro's- I received a great 1 hour massage at the strength that I wanted and felt great the next day. Con's- It's not the most relaxing place as there is chatter amongst the staff, you can hear the client next to you as there is just a wall separation, the phone is going off and when I was there so was the washer. Perhaps since I arrived on a Friday night they were needing to do the laundry. Also my temperature was not checked, or asked any COVID questions. I did wear my mask throughout as well as the staff from what I saw. Overall I would return because the massage was good and the price ($50 for an hour plus tip), although halfway through a new person took over. I will have the mindset that it won't be the most relaxing experience.

Safe, Relaxing and affordable. I was looking for a place to get a back and neck massage, as always I took to Yelp for recommendations and found 88 Spa. I was able to book immediately and they did not disappoint. Price was very reasonable and very good overall experience.

Do you want to be instructed how much to tip??...Or guilt tripped for 2 extra dollars?? Then, come on down. Been to 10+ similar spas in Manhattan/Brooklyn, so I have a good understanding of local options. Above average facility. Above average haggling will turn a 4-5 star visit into a 2-3 star visit really quick. ----- ....please note owners reply ----- ....and her second review. Do you want your manhood questioned?...or go to a female owner who's gender stereotyping women as weak? Then, this is your place.

I injured the top of my right foot 5 days ago. I've been limping with pain since then. Have done a lot of conventional massage and chiropractic before but never any acupressure. This was an absolutely incredible amount of pain Releaf. I was never a bug skeptic or anything, and arrived hopeful and open minded. Left with the straightest spine Ive ever felt and my foot is 10 Times better. Pain went from a 7 to a 1. Some slight tingling left but hardly any limp.

Been going to Spa88 for years. Consistently great massages in a clean and comfortable setting. Staff is always pleasant and accommodating. I love that it is upstairs, hidden away and always peaceful. Not sure I understand any of the negative reviews, as I said - I've been going of 5+ years and never had anything but attentive, relaxing massages from a lovely staff.

Love the place - very clean and very warm which make taking off your clothes much more comfortable. $40 for 1 hr. I had a terrible pain in my shoulder and after the massage the pain went away - I will make it my regular spot

I walked over straight after work because my shoulders were so tight it was giving me a headache. Good thing, because the schedule filled up for the night shortly after I arrived. Now I'm woozy in that good, "woah, my neck has so much mobility I don't know if I can hold my head up straight" way. They take the request for deep tissue seriously, and with little mercy. But also work up to it. Also, this was the best use of the hot towel phase I've encountered - as opposed to just getting the extra lotion off of you, it's a new heat-phase of more massage. I even got some bonus minutes since she wasn't done when the timer went off, and I didn't feel rushed out the door. If only they had punch cards for frequent customers like my place near home...

Do yourself and your body a favor. Serena (sp?) is amazing. Tell her where I'm having issues and she really focuses on them. She's asks soft, medium, or hard. Have done a 90 min session and a 60 min session. Both so good and very reasonably priced!

The 60 min massage for $55 was such a wonderful deal! I will definitely be coming back, they truly helped with my many knots and aches. I 100% recommend this massage place.

My regular spot was booked so gave this place a try. Was very pleased. Great therapist, Selena helped me a lot with a knee problem. Her work can be pretty deep but effective. I am a seasoned receiver of massage and she is a very good one. Reasonable price also I will go back when I can as I live in NJ.

Fantastic service and amazing massage! The staff are such sweet people who do their best to make sure you're happy with their services. I got there before they opened with no appointment and they immediately got me in a room without even being able to catch their breath from the commute. Support this small business! I'm so glad they survived the pandemic but hopefully people can help them grow even more.

TERRIBLE MASSAGE. I swear to you my necks been hurting and has been worse ever since I've come to this spot. The Masseuse has her weird way of massaging or breaking your neck. As I was laying down she was doing weird movements with my neck and now it feels stiff and hurts. Never again!

Came for the first time for an hour massage on a whim because I had super bad shoulder pain. I like it strong and I definitely got what I wanted. I will definitely be back, so happy it's close by.

Very quick and prompt service. Was able to get an appointment last minute without any troubles. Place was clean and relaxing. There is a lack of privacy, their curtains are sheer and do not cover the opening- which can be very concerning for some. The masseuse I had was very nice and pleasant . 30 min massage was 30 dollars, charge $2 for card. In terms of the actual massage, I have had better, probably wont come back.

Best massage ever - and I've been to a few different spots. No frills place where the technique is rock solid!

I was walking by and didn't have an appointment but asked if they had time for a walk in. They said they had time for a half hour. The women doing the massage (which not very good) left 3x to answer the phone and door in the middle of it (and didn't even close the curtain). By the third time I got up and left (only a few minutes into the half hour). She told me I had to pay $10 for the "10 minute massage" and that I should call in advance next time.

My neck and back were very very sore and in need of an emergency massage today. My regular place doesn't do drop ins, so I was lucky to find this place. I had Angela and she was wonderful. The pressure was very intense (which I needed) and she was able to really target the tight spots. She included a short massage with hot stones at the end and stretched my back, which was amazing. The only negative thing I could say about this place is that the room was right off the lobby with a thin curtain for privacy, and the face rest in the table was not the most comfortable. However, given the great price ($30 for 30 min including tax), I expected a no- frills place, and this was nicer than similar places I've been. It is very clean and the staff are really nice. I was very happy with my experience and will definitely be back.

I ignored the negative reviews but still came, I should not have. Biggest waste, worst massage I ever had. After a long flight I Booked a 1 hour massage in the evening, got there on time and waited about 30 mins until she finished another person. Very rude and disrespectful to customers. Scolding hot stones did nothing but burn my back. She did not have a technique just randomly lightly rubbing my back. Clearly just over booking and don't care about customers returning. Will not return

Selina is awesome. Probably one of the best massage i ever had so far. She knows exactly where to massage to ease the pain. I will definitely go back. price is very reasonable for level of service you receive.

Loved my massage. I paid $50 for one hour Swedish massage and it included hot stones toward the end. My masseuse was very sweet and definitely worked efficiently and effectively and the pressure was just right. I was able to completely relax to the point that i almost fell asleep! Only thing is that i wished they did more acupressure but for $50 and the fact that it's so close to my job, it's a perfect lunch getaway session! Will definitely be back

I have been putting off writing this review for two years because I was afraid it would get too popular. However, the time has come. This place is the best spot I could've ever found. All the girls are great and very nice. I am always greeted with a warm welcome and provided an exceptional massage. The price is right, never have I experienced a tipping issue (mentioned below). Selina was incredible! She gives an incredibly firm deep tissue massage. I felt beat up for a few days and then completely relaxed. I usually don't like hard massage but she was incredible. Always asking if I was ok! A lovely woman and very friendly. I highly recommend 88spa - especially Selina! The price is incredible ! 30min = $28 60min = $50 I cannot say enough good things about this place.

If you asked me if I would go back, I would say no xiexie. Why? Well, first of all, customer service doesn't exist here. You would expect a peaceful and calm environment when getting a massage. But no, the workers talk too loud and too often. They spent more time talking than doing their job. They talk so much that I became fluent in their language. My friends asked them if they could massage gentler but instead they were being laughed at by the workers in their native language. The workers would skip some parts of the massage and there is no flow to the massage, almost like if they're are free-styling.

Selena is a remarkable healer. If you can process the pain, you come out looking younger. Highly recommended eastern medicine bodywork.

Lee is an amazing and a top notch massage professional who cares about her customers. You can tell her smile is real! The issue was one day I came in, Lee wasn't around and they gave me someone else. The person provided half spirited massage - it was obvious and was not thorough at all. Very quick on each point and jumping from leg area to arm area etc.. My partner tried once, unfortunately Lee wasn't around so someone else took him in. He booked for 60 mins but they went for 90 mins without even asking while he was completely unaware which resulted him being late for a dinner arrangement. He was charged for 90 mins. I don't know what was going on the This was it for me after having gone there once a month.

Love this place. I have chronic shoulder knots (thanks desk & stress!) and go regularly. Once I could barely lift my arm or bend my neck and after 90 mins I was a good 75% better, the next day 95%. It was amazing. I usually call a few hours before I would like an appt (or sometimes 30 minutes) and they almost always accommodate. Lee is the best.

Had a great massage from Kathy. She knew where to focus without me telling her and I left feeling so relaxed like my body was floating. Will definitely come back.

Best at what they do. Would never go anywhere else for a massage. Make sure to specify if you'd like a deep tissue massage or not. They do both very well. My calf was tight to the point that I couldn't walk after skiing, but two sessions here fixed everything. This was after trying two massages at two other places in the area

Lee is the best masseuse I have ever met. Really great experience since Lee actually cares a lot about the customers and she would ask if it's too much or not, and she's also very easygoing. I have been going for massage here for months now, it's just the BEST experience I have ever had.

They have a new therapist who is really not experienced. Had one of the most painful and uncomfortable massages in my life. Beware who you are getting when you make appointment. The place is also super cold. Terrible experience overall.

This place is very clean and enjoyable, come here many times, it's very friendly and enjoy every time stay here. The price is very reasonable compare to the spa near by, in the financial district, it's definitely a bargain. Highly recommend.

Went back to Selina after a long and exhausting flight and she worked magic! She managed to loosen most of my tight knots in the neck and shoulders and I felt like a different person afterwards. So thankful for everything she did and would definitely come back for more!
