"Platform, Culver City. We find ourselves at Platform multiple times throughout the day. Just a couple blocks from the studio, you can find usgrabbing a latte most morningsat Blue Bottle Coffee, picking up lunch at Loqui, indulging in an afternoon ice cream treat at Van Leeuwen, browsing ephemera at Poketo or testing a new scent at Aesop. This beautifully landscaped consortium of hip boutiques and cafes is great for a quick bit of respite, great people watching or a quick stroll."

Google
this garage is a complete scam. they are supposed to validate parking and the businesses in the area have specific stamps for this garage but apparently they can only be honored by a person who is supposed to be standing at the exit. i’ve never been to a parking garage that doesn’t program its machine to accept validation. this place is totally banking on the idea that people won’t care if it’s only a few dollars but it’s dishonest and makes the businesses who claim they give validation look bad. i even went as far as to double check with the business that i was at the correct parking garage AND call the help number listed on the machine. the man on the line hung up on me upon hearing my concern and ignored the messages i sent. horrible shameful scam that should be avoided at all costs. according to other reviews, they also will not honor the free 15 minutes unless someone is there. again, all of these parking garage machines are capable of being programmed to allow 15 minutes and validation and they refuse.

Google
I'm pretty sure the people who take your ticket at the exit gate here are running some sort of racket. Today was the 3rd time over the last few months where I've validated my parking ticket while leaving sweetgreens, gotten to my car and to the exit gate within a few minutes, only for the gate attendant to take my ticket, not scan it, but read the time on the ticket and try and charge me money on my already validated ticket. I'd suggest staying away from this parking structure.

Katherine Yu

Google
STAY AWAY. PAID $2 to PICK UP food that took 2 MINUTES. Absolutely a scam. They're aware that there's no where else to park. First and second floor entire tesla parking, half of the third and fourth tesla parking and most of the time these are empty. Gas cars are forced to slowly snake their way up to top, and due the the $2 after 15 min policy, you end up paying $2 to pick up food.

Jenny Simonson

Google
The sign says that you get the first 15 minutes parking free. They did not honor that for me. And would not do anything about it when I called it out.

Google
I wish I could give 0 stars. The shopping and restaurant area is extremely cute. The parking garage is an absolute nightmare. It took us OVER AN HOUR to get out of it. It's a terrible design and the guy working there was extremely rude. They need to enforce the right turn only when people exit the garage. The cars were lined up all the way to the rooftop just to exit. You can't charge people hourly for parking when it takes more time to exit the garage than time you parked there.

Hopefully you will never run into any issues when there are no attendants. I did. Very frustrating.

Yelp
Platform is a fun outdoor/indoor shopping center located in Culver City. I honestly hadn't heard much about this shopping center until one of my favorite stores broadcasted that they would be having a pop up located here. Platform was fairly simple to navigate in many ways. Coming from Ventura county it was a little bit of a drive which was to be expected but luckily this center isn't far off the 405 freeway which did make this very easy to get to. Also the parking garage is clear and colorful (easy to find). Seemed safe enough and I felt comfortable leaving my car behind, haha, harder to say in some parts of LA these days. The parking garage was reasonable on pricing and it had an attendant so easy peasy. I appreciated that they had multiple maps and signage so you can find where you're heading with ease. This shopping mall is slightly more upscale, I said it. Not $$$$ price point but the restaurants and some shops are a little boujee for the average person. It's no rodeo drive but I could see this maybe not being the most accessible price point for the average person. We knew the content of the shops though so we were fine but did we blow a few hundred dollars, definitely. They had a nice ratio of clothing shops, to home goods, and restaurants/drink stalls. However, in grand total the amount of stores is slightly underwhelming. We walked this shopping center pretty quickly and were eager to see more cute shops. Felt a little empty in some ways but if you come here in mind of a few stores you know you want to see then your fine, this spot just wouldn't be on my regular shopping rotation as there isn't enough for me to see to justify the drive. Our favorite stores though were definitely Catbird (jewelry) and the Mojave Flea Trading Post (heard this was only a pop up store through 2023). I'm hoping they'll maintain the good stores and continue to get creative in bringing more to this center as it has potential and overall was a nice and chill environment for a girls shopping day.

Yelp
Cute bougie boutique cluster of shops. Mostly one of a kind private designer labels. A good collection of food vendors. If you own a Tesla, you have been here.

Yelp
This is the place for high-end luxury shopping. Platform is offering memberships at $200 a year so you can get discounts and complimentary parking. I avoided the parking lot because there was a line of cars waiting to go in. You can easily find street parking on Sundays and walk over. Came for the Lulu and Georgia pop-up and they have cute and eclectic home furnishing. Their pillows are nice. What's good about Platform is when they offer pop-ups so there's always something new to see.

Yelp
It is a community shopping center in Culver City, which consists of retail stores, restaurants and office space, in a group of three-story buildings. The parking rate is incremental $2 each hour, and some merchants might validate parking though most don't. The mall is also next to the light rail line, where you could hear it passing by loudly.

Allie P.

Yelp
Known about this place since its inception. While working nearby, it was always just a short walk or drive away. You'd be lucky to find an open spot inside of the parking structure these days- but I'd say worth a try if it looks empty. There is also street parking and another small lot in the back of the cul de sac. Street parking is usually easy to find on a good day, lol. When I'd go there for lunch on a weekday it was always easy. Oh yeah, not to mention its right across the street from the Metro station. I've seen shops come and go like a nail salon, flower stand, Poketo (miss you), Sao Acai (miss you) and other small specialty boutiques. Others have stayed like Loqui, Blue Bottle Coffee, and Aesop, Sweetgreen, Janessa Leone, Reformation, etc. During certain holidays they have things like a pumpkin patch and fake snow. Various pop-ups from companies like Rouje, Lulu & Georgia, and once even Roberta's which is now a permanent vendor. I enjoy this place the most when it is not completely full with other humans though it could be fun to people watch you just may not have any space to sit and relax. Current Fave places to visit: Loqui (my #1), Roberta's, and Holey Grail Donuts...

Jan B.

Yelp
I like the little mall. It contains fun restaurants and cute (and pricy) shops. It great to spend time there: BUT THEY FORCE YOU TO LISTEN TO THEIR MUSIC WHICH PLAYS VERY LOUD. That's why I took at least one star off.

Shannon N.

Yelp
Between getting here and the parking situation, this reminded me of why I don't come out to Culver City. After reading up on the parking, I knew I was in for a dreadful start of my visit. Whoever decided to put the parking entrance/exit RIGHT when you turn onto Landmark St. off of Washington must have been high AF because this was a cluster...jam in every sense of the word. There are meters on both sides of the street if you drive further down, eventually bringing you to the cul-de-sac where you circle right back around just to do it all over again! On my third try I did find a spot at the very end-even better-with enough time remaining on the meter. Wasn't sure where to go at first but I passed another lot with a sign for Margot where they validate for a certain amount; not sure what exactly but if you're going to Margot, that would be a good place to park. I'll admit once I entered the premises, I calmed down some and actually enjoyed this little area. The closest shopping area that I thought this resembled was a much smaller scale of The Point on Sepulveda with the way it was set up. The shops I was targeting were Aesop and Van Leeuwen, which happened to be on the same side. I did want to try out Pop's Bagels until I realized not only did they close at 2p, but they are also an actual pop-up when I was under the impression they were here permanently. I want to shoot myself for considering a $5+ bagel but that will be another review. As frustrated as the trip here was, I would actually consider returning since I had decent experiences at the shops I actually stepped into. I didn't visit the other side where the actual parking garage was, but perhaps I'll make my way over another time, and possibly increase my rating. Platform is not my first thought when it comes to shopping but it's definitely not on the sh*tlist either.

Yelp
I found the Platform to be.... overly pretentious. Platform feels kind of like the place where influencers dream about photo ops, where they shop, and hope to get sponsored by the stores here. It's got the Row vibe but the Row has amazing food and fun shops to browse, not to mention Smorgasboard every weekend. The food here is ok- mediocre and overpriced food that's definitely not worth the parking cost nor hassle. The big shops here are Reformation, Lulu & Georgia, Catbird, and Sezane, the latter three popups of which are gone. Reformation has very limited inventory on the floor, and even more limited sizing. The girls kept telling me to service myself at the kiosk and then telling me to shop online instead. Ok so why do I even bother to come in then... Getting here is not fun. I don't spend more than 10min at the shops I talked about above because inventory is small. There's nothing else in the area to do, and the surrounding area is not that nice once you're out of the Platform area. I know I'll be back if there's another interesting popup that comes to town, but honestly hard pass. There are more fun places in LA to hang out at. The parking garage is actually abysmal, like downtown rates and clusterfck trying to get in and out, so I park a little farther away nearby but got harassed by transients on the walk there. Honestly tempted to park at the Cardiff lot in Culver proper and walk the 10min next time.

Yelp
A relatively new outdoor shopping and dining complex in west LA, The Platform gives west sliders an alternative to the mega malls like Century City's and Fox Hill. The small size makes you feel more relaxed and their stores are not the ones you'll see in every mall. Many of them are environmentally friendly or more conscientious (like Reformation) but you have to pay dearly for them, like $200 for a shirt (that is, if you can find one on the sales rack). With discount giants like Target just a few blocks away, one would have to be very ultraistic to buy from these stores. Eateries and snack shops (boba, ice cream) are very nice. And it's a great place for pets or pet watching. Parking has been a problem since they opened. There are very few street parkings and residents in the area are not happy about the influx of visitors. There is a designated structures but it's not big, and most of the stores do not validate. I've only found Sweet Greens and Blue Bottle that will validate - even with that, you usually have to pay a few dollars. But that's west side for you.

Yelp
I love Roberta's and Loqui restaurants and eat here often (but usually only on weekdays at mid-afternoon to avoid crowds). Today (Saturday 26 June 2021) I came to sample Olly's soft pretzels, and they, too, were excellent and worthy of future Saturday (the only day they're here) visits. But today carried with it a very distressing surprise: Platform's Men's room was completely shut down. WTF!?!? To add insult to injury, Platform's website (see attached photo, text surrounded by purple) brags about the fact that the restaurants & shops are open, but says nothing at all about the unavailability of a Men's room (on a Saturday, when this place is busiest, if we're judging by the packed-to-the-rafters parking structure). Who are the morons "running" (ruining?) Platform? You don't open a shopping/dining space without a full compliment of bathrooms. If/when necessary, you hire plumbers to work the night shift to make sure elimination facilities are 100% functioning (and sanitary) before customers start showing up the next morning. Somebody needs to tell the Platform management clowns that they can't blame the pandemic anymore for their failures to keep this space in tip-top shape. In fact, that 'somebody' needs to be Platform's corporate overlords (ownership), who -- if they can't light a fire under the arse's of the current junior varsity field managers -- ought to turf them and hire a varsity-caliber team.

Yelp
This review is solely about the parking structure, not the wonderful shops and restaurants at the Platform. My friend and I decided to pick up some coffee at the platform and parked in the parking structure. We noted that the first 15 minutes were free, which was just the right amount of time. As we were driving up, we noticed a long line of cars trying to exit, as it seemed that the machine to exit was broken and they had some structure attendants helping with the tickets. We got our coffee in 10 minutes and had just enough time to spare as we made our way down. There was a car in front of us who couldn't find their ticket, which pushed us over the 15 minutes by one minute. When we tried to explain the situation to the parking attendant, she rudely barked at us, "so you don't want to pay??" We tried to nicely explain again that we had been waiting in line, but the person in front of us, who she had been helping, was holding everyone up. She rudely yelled at us again, saying "you don't want to pay? Then leave!" Really poor customer service, when we were just trying to explain the situation. Come to think of it, Every time I've been to this parking structure, they have had issues with the machine to leave. So just beware.

Yelp
This place was super cute! I came here to pick up an olive oil cake from Little House Confections and was pleasantly surprised by the other cute shops. I got a drink from boba guys and found a socially distanced spot in the shade to enjoy the nice summer day. I came here on a Tuesday afternoon and it wasn't crowded: Everyone had masks on and were in groups less than 3.

Katherine Y.

Yelp
PARKING IS A SCAM. I paid $2 to pick up food (took 2 minutes). They only have 15 minutes of free parking now and filled up the first 4 floors with mostly tesla parking, which usually is always empty. They make gas cars slowly snake their way up the parking lot and the whole parking process takes more than 15 min. Used to love this place and come here a lot but if their target clientele is only obnoxious tesla drivers I'm out.

Lan N.

Yelp
The parking price has gone up and most places does not seem to provide validation. Definitely a very pretentious vibe here, maybe a given with the kind of stores that are here. It's really too bad that cute more reasonable priced (still not cheap) places like Poketo has closed. I'd still come for the food place like boba guys, but wish they would have a better mix of stores.

Stew H.

Yelp
You know what's really pissing me off at Platform? The fact that they jam my signal and make me log in to their WiFi to continue using data. Super lame and super unnecessary. Turn it OFF, Platform. Update: back here at Platform for some Loqui goodness. It's Covid season, so your only options are to take your food home, or eat here, outside. And I'm thinking about the chair I'm seated in, right outside SweetGreens... it's made of solid brass. And I'm wearing shorts, and there's nowhere else to sit. And it's hot as fuck. Yo can literally fry an egg on it. And I'm wondering... when the brain trust that designed this place got together and selected the outdoor furniture they'd be using, didn't one person think about the weather during summer, and how people typically dress? Isn't that what professional landscape architects do? Another Platform fail.

Christy L.

Yelp
Very cute, contemporary, little outdoor shopping center. Nothing like a mall or your typical shopping plaza, but a great modern take on it. The stores match the vibe of the whole area and contribute to creating such a hipster vibe. They have Modern Artisan craft fairs/marketplace every few months or so (seasonal) and that makes this place an even better visit! Definitely check it out if you're into the concept :)

Kathryn L.

Yelp
Culver City's Hipster/Millennial Answer to The Grove Last weekend, I was invited to a party at Platform. Since I've driven by this place every week, I was curious to see what it was. Hidden behind some black and white buildings splashed with color is a lovely upscale, outdoor shopping mall that feels miles away from busy Washington Blvd. Nosh on waffles at Hayden, salads at Sweetgreen, juice at Juice Served Here, mesquite-grilled goodies at Loqui, coffee and pastries at Blue Bottle, and gourmet (including vegan) ice cream at Van Leeuwen. Work it off at SoulCycle. Tom Dixon, Cynthia Rowley, Design Public, The Edit and more can easily destroy your wallet. There's street parking if you don't want to use their lot. Check their website for events and pop-ups. Platform raises the level of shopping.

Jose P.

Yelp
This is a review about the parking. We get our bread at Bianca's / delicious sour dough. Just came in after kids school (at 2:15 pm) to purchase wine item - bread. Parking is impossible. All the electric designated vehicle spots right by the entrance taken by non electric vehicles. I run to the elevator from the 3rd floor. No line at Bianca's, purchase the bread and run to my car. I am there at 16 not 15 min due to cars trying to leave in front of me. Lady's says, everyone has to pay ! A minute late ? Not from from my fault ! I told her about the electric vehicle situation and she said she was new. I saw her there many times. Very rude !

Dede L.

Yelp
I love this location but the parking garage is a nightmare!! We went on a Saturday and it took 30 minutes to get out! They need to figure it out!! Love Margot, little pricy but very fun!

Tiffany C.

Yelp
This review is for the pop up Shop Wyeth. I was really excited to stop by this pop up to support a small business (Jacey) only to be disappointed by the poor customer service. No greeting to customers whatsoever. When I did stop to ask them a question about a price, the woman seemed so bothered. Please do better!

Therese G.

Yelp
Loving this space across from the Metro Parking Lot in Culver City. It is truly an oasis. This is a great place to meet friends. Everyone can just catch the train here and share a little meal, chat over coffee, indulge in VanLeewen ice cream, shop at local artisan shops or just hang around. On the corner is the Christmas Platform Popup with Roberta's pizza. The outdoor pizza spot is located in the midst of a pine-tree laden Christmas tree lot and holiday boutique stands. It feels like Christmas even with our sunny 70 degree weather!

Karon S.

Yelp
Not a fan of paying to park to grab a bite to eat. Some restaurants here validate - all businesses here should. I don't usually go in for a modern style but it works here. Nice vibe. Except in the cactus area, which needs a do-over. Lots of reviews say it's for millennials, but feels like for all ages to me. Roberta's and Salad Farm are the winners.

Leta B.

Yelp
Besides the fact that there's not much going on in here, room for improvement is not the worst thing. The restaurants are what grants the three stars from me, even though I wasn't able to get a look at Margot (upstairs) due to an out of service elevator. The space itself is so cute, I just wish it had a bit more to offer for the local patron. Res Ipsa, Guild, the unnamed overpriced pop-up shop... you've GOT to be kidding me. Over $250 for ONE boring article of clothing. This isn't Beverly Hills! I'm not entirely sure how these ridiculously priced boutiques could even stay afloat. So far- Blue Bottle, Van Leeuwen, Sweet Green & Bondi Harvest have my support. I'm not sure if I'd even be able to afford anywhere else, and I actually live within walking distance. If you're not trying to cater to the neighborhood, then who are you trying to sell to? Back to the Grove for now, I suppose!

N F.

Yelp
I'm so not a shopping mall type of gal. I much prefer boutiques and mom & pop stores whenever I need to make a new purchase. The Platform is a very hip and modern place with highly curated shops that cater to a certain clientele with specific aesthetics. Take a look at their website and you'll see. My favorite is Reformation (of course, that's a given!) and it's really the only shop I frequent. Other shops that I like are Bird Brooklyn, Freda Salvador, Poketo and Janessa Leone. I haven't tried any of the dining places but it's also carefully chosen to satisfy a hankering from artisan ice cream, açaí bowls to organic local flare. I love how convenient it is from the Culver City metro station and it's just a block to/from the Co-opporunity market. I also like the unique pop-ups they have. Right now ROUJE from Paris is there (next to Reformation) until June. Their website has a schedule of current and upcoming pop-ups. I'm looking forward to The Hand & Rose flower truck with their cute little yellow bus filled with fresh seasonal flowers. As far as parking go, I have no idea where it is, lol. And it's probably a good thing since everyone in the reviews state their parking garage is awful. When I come here I either take the metro or leave my car at the Co-op after I finish shopping for my groceries and walk a block over.

Kevin W.

Yelp
Great small outdoor plaza. Ton of hip shops and restaurants. I like the modern design and outdoor concept. Spaced out well. Did not see a directory which would have made navigating easier. Low score is because of parking. Structure is expensive. You can try to find meters if you are lucky.

nlew l.

Yelp
This review is just for their parking structure. DO NOT park in the structure if you need to get in and out quickly. Went on Sunday afternoon around 2 pm to check out Van Leeuwen Ice Cream. Took at least half an hour to go down 3 levels. It's $2 for the first hour but didn't have to pay since it took SOOO long to get out!

Trace V.

Yelp
Finally made it down to Platform as we wanted to try Robert's from Brooklyn pizza (and it was AMAZING). Also got a salad to go from Sweet Green which we enjoyed at home with the leftover pizza. I like this airey "mall" even though I'm NOT a millennial as it wasn't crowded on a Sunday afternoon and I hear they have some pop ups now and again. Not a fan of expensive clothing shops -- so I'll just be coming for the restaurants (and take the train as the parking can be pricey as not every place validates and there is limited street parking). Looks like the whole neighborhood under the Metro is under construction as two other HUGE malls are in the works.

CJ G.

Yelp
Totally impressed with this outdoor open air mall landscaped with desert loving cactus plants throughout the mall. So many restaurants, clothing stores with one of a kind clothing selections, a beautiful park loaded with pumpkins for the children's up coming Halloween. Over all most people were wearing their mask while window shopping. Each store offers sanitizers for your hands before handing their merchandise. A dog walker paradise for your furry friend.

Jeremy T.

Yelp
Advertises 15 minutes free parking. This is false, they most likely round up and you actually only have 14 minutes. This is important to know because it has the only Supercharger along highway 10 if you're driving to/from the westside. Enough for a quick boost. I check the time as we're driving in, waiting for at least 10 seconds before taking the ticket to see if the minute flips over. It doesn't and someone is behind me so I take it and pull in. Charge for about 9 minutes after a minute to park. Just about to pull out, but have to wait for a small parade of cars. Stuck waiting for them to pay their tickets. That's what the five minute buffer is for. The minute flips over just as I'm pulling up. I know I have at least ten seconds left. But the machine charges for a full hour. The attendant doesn't care. "Everyone has to wait. You're over 15 minutes. You pay like everyone else." Besides the terrible customer service, that's factually incorrect. Can I go back and at least get a full charge for my $2 admission? No, I can't back up because there's too many cars behind me, and I can't go forward without paying up. It's only $2 so not a highway robbery, though in certain regards it kinda is one.

Smriti K.

Yelp
A small piece of New York that lives dang in the centre of Culver City. I quite admire the concept and architecture of Platform. Platform consists of unique stores and restaurants such as Loqui,Blue Bottle and some eclectic NY clothing stores. I find myself here for quick work meetings or just strolling in to grab a quick cuppa joe. Clean, sophisticated and inviting is Platform for you!

Helen S.

Yelp
New parking prices are INSANE! Cute place to eat but just was charged $18 to park for a long dinner -- and that's AFTER validation. Nope nope. Won't be a go to spot anymore :(

Mar C.

Yelp
I suppose if you have a specific restaurant you want to go to, it's ok. Been wanting to go here for awhile and was very underwhelmed. The boutiques were way overpriced and nothing special, there were no 'pop ups' on a Saturday.? No energy or vibe at all here. They need a store like Burro, a bookstore, more 'made in l.a.' stores, something like a Fred Segal, etc. The little park area is really pretty. Parking not easy and $$.

Sheree Y.

Yelp
The mister and I love it here more now. Due to our current worldly conditions, it makes the place more peaceful and we enjoy it! It's not crowded and parking is easy. We can enjoy a week day or weekend getting coffee with no fuss. It's so nice! A few of my favorite shops include Reformation, Aesop, Blue Bottle and Loqui. Enough for me to go back often! Hoping all the businesses are still in good shape.

Michelle L.

Yelp
PARENTS, this is not a playground to overrun with your bratty children. It's unacceptable for them to be throwing and kicking rocks from around the trees and running around like headless chickens. Learn to discipline your little terrors or bring them to the damn park instead. Thanks for ruining what could have been a relaxing environment to enjoy on the weekend.

Barbarella F.

Yelp
This review is for parking, which was mostly a MEH experience. The rest of the shopping area is pretty cool ... especially if you're a millennial with expendable income to hang out in such hipster spots. So paying $5 to park was no big deal, as I'll likely not be back anytime soon. It was a convenient meeting place for a family outing. First off, there was no sign to indicate where the parking structure even was. And it was a long ass block to drive around to get back out to Washington Blvd. When leaving to pay, there was a machine to put your ticket into. But an attendant was standing there out in the cold to take your cash. Huh? "Right turn only" to exit the structure makes no sense, as that street is a dead-end. So, what happened to the hip architectural design when it came to parking? Best get back to the drawing board on that one.

Cody D.

Yelp
The shops are great, but my experiences at the parking structure over the last few months have really soured me on this place. The parking attendants that work here are rude and unhelpful. In fairness there is one older gentlemen that is very nice, but I cannot say the same about his colleagues. On multiple occasions they have made me pay for parking even when the parking ticket is clearly validated and I am exiting the structure on time. They also just charge whoever they feel like in a completely arbitrary manner. My gf and I drove separately to SoulCycle, she arrived before I did and left after I did. The attendant just waved her through. Good for her for getting lucky, but it's unfortunate that your experience varies based on what mood the person working the parking gate is in. If you have to come here, save yourself a headache and use metered parking.

Nicole D.

Yelp
Only have had a chance to visit once so far - very cute and enjoyed dining at Bianca's. The bagel shop looked and smelled amazing as I passed by. Parking garage is way overpriced so would be nice to walk if possible!

Doreen M.

Yelp
I came here 2x for ice cream and once for brunch then dinner. This place is okay. I wish they had more stores or restaurants. None of the places here really catch my eye that I'd be dying to come back. The Platform is very trendy, ritzy, upscale with what they put inside. The whole place looks like a West Elm photo shoot. I might come to the taco place to try it one day, but since there isn't much to do, I'd rather not come this way just to eat and leave. The first 2 hours of parking are free. There is a Soul Cycle here, Sweetgreens, nail salon, ice cream shop, a natural make up store, a natural mani pedi place, a juicery/coffee counter place, a men's store, a surf store, and a women's clothing store. They have outdoor seating as well.

Jordan W.

Yelp
A really nice Center with shopping, food, desserts, and lots of places to hangout and sit outside. There are often food trucks in the area and lots of pop-ups going in and out. And it's dog friendly! We probably visit The Platform about once a week. Easy access to the metro, usually street parking isn't too bad. Definitely worth a visit if you're in the area!

Sean S.

Yelp
I only stumbled upon this place because I was on the hunt for Blue Bottle coffee. It is a super upscale place. Van Leeuwen ice cream, Monocle, Sweet Green, Roberta's pizza. It is like a snapshot of Brooklyn to be honest. I dunno if this makes me trendy but I did enjoy it. In fact I'm just finishing my coffee now & about to get a bite

Holli R.

Yelp
Well first of all $15.00 parking four minutes or four hours - they give zero f*#ks - no thanks. The mall is small with stores you can get to much easier at other locations around town. This place Is nothing special - very disappointed. Not my cup of bubble tea. Zero vibe - but hey go find out for yourself - tho a day doing ANYTHING else would be more enjoyable.

Yelp
Super small outdoor plaza. I would not even call it a shopping center because it literally has like less than 10 shops inside the plaza. Most of the shops are on the higher end side so I would not buy stuff from there. Most of the shops have no customers either besides Boba Guys and other cafe. I don't know, I mean I would not drive all the way for this but I guess it is nice to walk around if you live nearby.

Yelp
I agree with Bryan W.'s assessment. The Platform had a surprising amount of contemporary, high end stores and some stores that offered quality duds but for reasonable prices. It's very millennial and very yuppie. I loved it! Oh and it turned me on to my latest obsession, Tom Dixon. Wow, what an impressive designer. The stores here focus on purveying uncommon goods which is highly appealing. The store fronts had fascinating displays, original furniture pieces and clothing, and the sidewalk vendors were equally as impressive as the "housed" store fronts. For instance, I loved the Ryze stand. Their handmade leather goods were edgy yet simple. I've never seen a piece like those. Also, not everything was outrageously priced! The mens/womens clothing store across from the handsoap place, had gorgeous menswear and the prices were reasonable for the quality of the fabrics. I was extremely impressed! That being said, there are definitely places on par with Rodeo pricing if you want to seek it out. This center overall has a very modern aesthetic. It's definitely got an urban vibe going but they took a towards "eco-friendliness" with their drought tolerant cacti landscaping. I was a little shocked at that because with the amount of kids running through there, I was certain a munchkin was going to end up covered in needles, so yah, look out and try not to bump anyone into the cactus's running down the center of the walkways! Because the place does get packed! it's not a huge selection of shops but it's definitely an great addition to Culver City and does a fine job incorporating the outdoor SoCal experience to the world of shopping. Being a huge fan of HD Buttercup over at the Helm's Bakery Center, it's nice to know there's other quality shops to peruse when in that neighborhood. Least I forget the awesome selection of restaurants: Cannibal and Sweetgreen just to name some I personally love. Definitely hit up Cannibal's happy hour... Legit.

Yelp
Newish shopping plaza in Culver City. Parking is $2 after 1 hour and it goes up $1 per hour after that I believe. Some shops do validate so make sure to get it. Pretty small shopping center with boutique and hipster shops. The busiest store here are probably Sweetgreens and Boba Guys. Rest of them are expensive clothing and furniture stores or about to open restaurants. Its chill I guess.

Yelp
When I am not eating I hang out and what a cool place this is to hang out. Lots of cute little eating places and higher end stores to while or wile your hours away. The project is made out of shipping containers. Well worth a visit.

Yelp
WOW. Can't believe this place exists in our neighborhood. All of the construction pretty much seems to be done, the stores are filled, and the place is absolutely beyond well done and charming. Feel like we could be in Aspen, not in Culver City! And right now they have this epic Halloween extravaganza with pumpkins and petting zoos and all sorts of other craziness. Keep it up, what an oasis!!

Yelp
Not very big but a nice atmosphere. Everything there is pricey. It's a good spot to go to for ice cream or coffee.

Yelp
This is a random review, but I'm compelled to write it based on just how ridiculous this place is. This is - at its essence, a shopping center that nobody asked for. Fully-stocked stores but no customers. Manicured and curated succulents and landscaping but no birds or any sign of natural life. Businesses that vie to be unique but have no soul. And that's the weirdest thing about this shopping center. It has no soul. Shopping centers usually don't need to have substance; except Platform tries so hard to make you feel like you're in a unique place bustling with innovation and current trends. It's like a Las Vegas-esque version of how they would imagine recreating the cool atmosphere of LA neighborhoods, combining the worst (but what they think is the best) of Abbot Kinney and the Arts District into an all-in-one shopping center, but takes the fun out of what makes those other areas still somewhat appealing (side-note: those areas too, are on their way out). Is there anything special here? No. There is a gallery dedicated to 'sneakers' that literally encases random shoes from 2005 that will leave you scratching your head (or rolling your eyes). There's also a mandatory 'shipping container' pop-up kiosk hawking colored bikes and other stereotypical things that look nice but you'd never buy. Which summarizes 'Platform' quite well; aside from a coffee or salad (assuming you work at an equally un-interesting start-up in the vicinity), there is nothing you'd realistically buy here. You can feel the anxiety of all of the store employees who know that you, just like everyone else, are just in the store to look with a slightly perplexed lack of sufficient interest in an occasional item, but would never buy. The sad thing is that it's all done tastefully and is one of the nicer looking developments I've seen in LA in recent memory (note: the bar has been set so low as of late so there's also that to take into consideration). And it's not necessarily a bad addition to Culver City. But I think Platform is the kind of place that misses the mark and exemplifies how cities and neighborhoods lose their character when they try and be too cool and current but lack substance or 'soul' to back it up...

Yelp
I had been waiting for Platform to open its doors since I first heard of this concept one year ago and I was not disappointed. This shopping development in Culver City created by David Fishbein and Joseph "Joey" Miller is home to many high end brands and unique stores and is definitely worth a visit. It is conveniently located near the freeway and there is a huge parking lot available (the first 2 hours are free!). We visited several stores and loved the decor and the architecture. The only reason why this review does not have 5 stars is because we felt it was still a project in the making and some things could be improved (most urgent, put some store directories in the parking garage and on the street!). We will be back and update our review.
