9 Bar Cafe

This coffee shop sits on the ground floor of a luxury apartment building. The interior is stunning, the coffee is not. With many urben green design utilized into the fixtures, the environment is bright and lively. Unfortunately the coffee was disappointing. The espresso was lack of flavor and the froth milk was bubbly. I will definitely recommend this place for the environment but not the coffee.

Great service and good coffee. They follow COVID regulations well. Dine in available with decent distance between seats. They have comfortable seating area. Wish there was some kind of room freshener or a smell of coffee to get the coffee vibe right.

This place caught my eye because of its ambiance - beautiful environment to study. But when it came to their coffee, I was underwhelmed. They don't have flavors available (if that's your thing), and I just felt the coffee itself was okay. Not great, not bad, but 3/5. I ordered a regular latte. I still plan on coming back because of the study-friendly atmosphere. It's relatively quiet, despite being packed with students digging through their study material. I'd stay here for a couple hours to get some work done. But as for their drinks, maybe I'll just have to give them a second chance.

The space is amazing - quiet/sunny, perfect for studying/working. But the cappuccino was very disappointing. The barista clearly did not know how to steam milk properly. Unprofessional unfortunately. — as an update, I went there again after a few months and the latte was pleasantly good.

The coffee here is decent and the baristas are nice. However, the main draw of this cafe is it’s sitting areas. The work stations and the social enclave really make this a nice place to either work out of or meet people. However, the food and pastries here are overpriced and not really that great. So avoid spending money on that.

Love to see this sort of hip cafe in Jersey City! Great place not just for the coffee but for hanging out and reading books! Very clean very lovely arrangement. Lots of young Asian customers I see usually occupying seats. I would recommend anyone to come visit!

After almost 2 years of Covid-19 outbreak, this is the first time I got back to a coffee shop with my laptop. The vibe of this place is pretty good. There are not many coffee shops in the US has this vibe. They have many trees and it makes me feel comfortable. I sat at the sofa, there are outlets underneath of the sofa, it's convenient. I had worked there for 4 hours. I give this coffee shop 5/5. If you need a place to work/study, 9 Bar Cafe is for you.

Best coffee in Jersey City and a fabulous dining area in the ultra modern and hip Urby building. Atmosphere is super chill and calming. The pastries especially the savory vegetable scone are also to die for. Ample Hills Creamery is just next door- Bonus! You are steps from the waterfront. This is a must visit in Jersey City.
